Cautam astazi ceva de Youtube. Si intamplator am dat de un clip cu Pablo Francisco. Nu stiu daca ati mai auzit de el pana acum(desi e destul de cunoscut), dar eu auzisem de acest individ cu ceva timp in urma. Vreau sa va spun ca acest baiat chiar stie meserie, chiar te face sa te prapadesti de ras. Este un comic in adevaratul sens al cuvantului. Si ca sa va convingeti singuri va propun un clip:

I went to see Pablo Francisco, super super funny.  Naturally.  I’ve tried uploading the clips i filmed to youtube but it’s failing me.  There was a queue to get your photo taken with him at the end but it was too long and i didn’t care that much.

Prior to that though i did some window shopping on Oxford Street and there was something about the day that meant i was an electro magnet for the weird.  My mother emits the same strange frequency, for reasons unknown we give off a “hey psycho, come talk to me!” vibe which results in stalkers, weirdos and nutcases feeling the need to invade our lives.  Not three seconds after entering this place:

I hear (in a french accent) “omg baby are you a model? you’re a model aren’t you HA HA HA you are lovely look at you darling look at you!” me: “pardon? ..haha…no i’m not” what followed was a verbal sputum of sentences such as “i want to kiss you, will you let me kiss you??” “you are so cute! i want you to be in my next movie!!!” and “i want to invite you to Milan next weekend, we will drink wine, i’ll buy you anything you want and we’ll have some passionate love making” bear in mind this was TWO minutes after i’d walked into the place and i hadn’t even ordered.  I thought ‘this is so fucking typical, i’m starving and i’ve been looking forward to this food for hours and now some french cunt is about to ruin everything, i really hope he doesn’t sit at my table’ but i’d stupidly replied “eat in” when asked my preference by the waiter.  I figured i’d sit outside in the freezing in hopes it might deter him but he didn’t care and came and joined me anyway. Before he’d even sat down he was pitching himself to me.  Amongst the questionable selling points he was making he showed me a back catalogue of all the females he’d recently had sex with, studiously pointing out which ones were great in bed, the stupid ones, the ones in his movies and the ones he bought expensive jewellery for.  As if i wasn’t already convinced what a ‘big fish’ i was in the presence of, he gave me his business card and told me to type his name into youtube and watch the trailers for his films.  This came up:

Big budget too by the looks of things :|  Anyway, the funniest part of it all was that when he was flicking through his ‘gallery of hoes’ on his iPhone, there were a dozen random pictures of his balding head oddly nestled in between the studio shots of his girlfriends.  He explained he had been going bald, had started taking a new wonder drug and then to prove it, showed me his slightly less balding scalp in real time.  What do you say in such situations?  ”oh yes..yes..i can see it’s really working…” I’m eating my fucking dinner you slimey dildo, if you sit any closer to me you’ll be on my lap. “promise you’ll email me? promise?” me: “yes i promise i will email you” I laughed as i watched him walk away in his wanky prada suit and cufflinks and thought what an odd exchange that had been.  Sorry guy, desperate, unattractive, balding,  middle-aged millionaires just don’t do it for me.

That day i also gave an interview to NME magazine about my thoughts on The White Stripes – not sure any of the words were publishable and i had a lone man on a bicycle yell “hey pussy puss *kisses teeth* wanna suck on my *something inaudible*” i think i can guess what it was along the lines of.  Uh.  Men!

Worst vegetarian place ever, it’s just chips and lettuce.

Jag har försökt ragga någon som vill följa mig och se Pablo Francisco typ hela dagen, men ingen har nappat hittills.

Mało polskich kabaretów mnie śmieszy. Któryś z bardziej prominentnych satyryków polskich, powiedział kiedyś, że kabaret jest funta kłaków warty, gdy zaczyna poruszać tematy polityczne. Łatwo jest pośmiać się z Kaczyńskich, łatwo jest -na zabawnie- komentować bieżące wydarzenia w kraju. Ciężej jest wymyślić coś, co faktycznie pachnie świeżością. Polskie kabarety są dla mnie podobnie atrakcyjne, jak brandowane przez TVN komedie romantyczne, firmowane nazwiskami zawsze tych samych aktorów.  Raczę się więc kanonem zaoceanicznym – “ś.p.” G. Carlin, Dane Cook, Pablo Francisco czy J. Dunham, pokazali, że można. Jak to się ma do gier? Po-generalizujmy trochę.

Nie jest chyba stwierdzeniem kłamliwym powiedzieć, że gry wgryzły się już w popkulturę cywilizowanego świata na tyle, żeby odcisnąć piętno na -teoretycznie- nie związanych z nimi aspektach życia codziennego. Założę się o paczkę czipsów, że 3/4 osób, które odwiedza tego bloga, ma podobną jak moja, poranną marszrutę – wstaje, włącza komputer (bądź siada do nie wyłączonego od wczoraj), odpala czytnik RSS, komunikator, przeglądarkę. Później jest sprawdzenie poczty, odpisywanie na maile, posty na forach (“trzeba coś komuś wytłumaczyć”). Zestaw czynności wyżej uzupełnia kontakt z konsolą (dużą, handheldem, bądź obiema). Nie sądzę o sobie żebym był jakoś szczególnie nienormalny, ale powyższe czynności wykonuję tak machinalnie, jak poranne mycie zębów.

Dobry kabaret poznawałem zawsze po humorystycznym odnoszeniu się do takich, zabetonowanych w naszej codzienności, rzeczy. Przykładowo, wszyscy chyba znają skecz o “Szczypiorku”?

Kto nigdy nie krzyczał “mamo” do okna, niech pierwszy rzuci kamieniem . Podobnie działają Demotywatory.pl – częstokroć znajduję tam moją codzienność, oddaną tak, żeby wywołała na twarzy uśmiech. Gdzie się w tym wszystkim podziały polskie kabarety/scena komediowa? Czy tylko ja odnoszę wrażenie, że ci, którzy mają moc żeby coś zrobić, z rzadkimi wyjątkami, kurczowo trzymają się misiów/PRLu, polityków – z PiSem na czele? I teraz sedno – co z żartami o nas dla nas?

Nie jestem geekiem sensu stricte, nigdy nie nosiłem ołówków w kieszonce na piersi, ale z racji iż gry zdominowały znaczną część mojego życia, chciałbym usłyszeć odniesienia i do nich.

Kolejny przykład to sposób w jaki Cook wspomina o xbox’ie. Zwróćcie uwagę jak naturalnie i logicznie jest to wplecione w kontekst całego skeczu. O czym to świadczy chyba mówić nie muszę.

Wniosków z tego wszystkiego może być kilka. Polacy nie są wystarczająco “społecznie” na tego typu odniesienia przygotowani. Zastanawiam się ile osób, dajmy, w Opolu zrozumiałoby ten typ dowcipu. Gdyby Tripod miał przyjechać do Polski jest raczej wątpliwe, aby rozbawili “klasyczną” widownie przynajmniej w połowie tak mocno, jak ludzi na prezentowanych przeze mnie filmikach. Może dlatego, gdy swego czasu rozmawiałem z Yonem via myspace, powiedział mi, że “może kiedyś”, ale w najbliższym czasie Polski nie odwiedzą.

Którego kabareciarza rozśmieszył by Pure Pwnage?

Jak o wszystkim, aby żartować o grach, trzeba mieć o nich pojęcie. Prezydent nie gra, w Playboyu robią na okładce “Tomb Rider’a”, a klasyczny Polak uważa, że gry są dla dzieci, a sama rozrywka to marnowanie czasu. Czy wymagam aż tak dużo? Kiedy doczekamy się polskiego Tripoda? Oby jak najprędzej. Póki co, niestety, zostaje nam towar importowany.

Ps. Jeśli minąłem jakiś dobry, polski, skecz o grach to wyprowadźcie mnie z błędu.

Have you ever been to a stand up bar before? Here in Cagayan de Oro, Philippines where I lived, have one but had been closed because nobody is so fond of going there and hearing those comedy acts they perform. In some places all over the world are very much hooked in stand-up comedies and seems enjoying stuff that makes them laugh. Oh, those comedians, they sure know what they’re doing to make you laugh. It helps you forget stress in work, at home, and elsewhere.
The comedy bar is simple, a stage where the performer will perform and couches where the audience would sit there comfortably drinking and eating and laughing their heart out of the jokes that the performer would say. Most of them do green jokes to make everyone laugh and some would sing and impersonate important people you might know of. Most performers here in the Philippines are gays because they are the one who most likely has the guts to do these things and has the talent of performing. It’s very hard to make a big crowd laugh. Little joke in a conversation in a small group would be fine. Inserting little green jokes during talks would simply keep a lively conversation. On a bigger crowd and on stage, oh boy, it would take a talent to fulfil that.

A friend of mine came across Pablo Francisco at youtube.com; a Hispanic- American who was born in Tucson, Arizona. Who grew up of Chilean origin performs live on stage as a stand-up comedian (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pablo_Francisco). He loves to talk about “green stuff” (you know what I mean). He surely is good at it. He is been performing for quite a while now and has a lot of fans. He can do beat box, change his voice to a woman and a man in an instant and acts along with it. Oh yes, he is really good.

Imi place stand-up-ul romanesc,imi plac glumele inteligente si ironia fina. Imi place ca vulgaritatea  este folosita ca “baston” pentru comic si nu este esenta.
