Nicolas Zugasti

> Film repris en salles le 25 novembre 2009

For all those people who want to find out if your partner is cheating or the password to your partne

For all those people who want to find out if your partner is cheating or the password to your partner’s facebook/myspace/e-mail/msn and other. Or if you are a parent worrying about what your kid might be doing at the computer behind closed doors.

Business going bad? Time to check up on your employees surfing habits. But how to do this, without getting caught trying to get some information?

Keep reading, I have the solution for all of you people.
I chose to introduce you to a keylogging/surveillance program after finally finding the tool that will give myself some answers to questions regarding my own relationship. I have searched for quite a long time and thought that there just aren’t any effective programs out there yet. But I found out that there is, it’s called All In One Keylogger, I gave it a try and I was honestly said frightened about the information it is able to collect, it will give you the answers to all your questions and suspiciousness.

With this program everything is possible, from getting a password to any community site, e-mail or forums and seeing all chat logs or messages – to recording microphone sounds (cybersex or the chat with another person and even webcam activity! (Both the own persons and a possible strangers webcam if he/she is watching naked teenagers behind your back). And best of all: you will have PROOF of what you have seen, which you obviously wont if you just suspect something without this program.

The program fits for:

a) People in a relationship
b) Business administration, finding out what your employees do when they “work”
c) Parents who want to keep track of their kids.

From their homepage you can read about the futures of All In One Keylogger, as I find it a bit pointless to copy paste whole production info page. Don’t be scared off by the word keylogger, YOU are the master of the program, only you will ever have control of the logs, pictures and audio that it monitors. Below is a lot of information about the features and what the program does, I recommend to read it in order to get a idea about the program.

Product Website:
http://www.plimus.com/jsp/redirect.jsp?contractId=1682768&referrer=Niar

I chose to speak more about my personal experiences of the program instead of talking about all the futures, those can all be found by following the link above to the product site.

What does All In One Keylogger do?

All In One Keylogger logs all keystrokes and passwords that have been typed into crypted files on your computer, it tracks all windows and applications that have been launched, clipboard, chat conversations (sent and received), all Web sites that have been visited, e-mails sent and received.

You can set it to take screen snapshots every few seconds or on each mouse click, just like a surveillance camera. It can also record Microphone sounds and restrict the access to specified Web sites and applications if wanted. It can even be set up to send these logs to your e-mail or FTP for tracking when you are away!

Personally I hate it the times I get the feeling in my stomach that something might be going on when I’m away from my partner, this is the solution to get rid of the paranoia, or to get proof for your suspicions. It snaps up all usernames and passwords into the very easily readable log viewer supported in the All In One Keylogger program. And maybe even more importantly you can set it up to take screen snapshots every few seconds and view the pictures later. I chose to divide the potential usage areas into different categories, you might wonder what the All In One Keylogger could be good for, I’ll tell you.

Relationship:
In the survey that took place in United States in the year of 2005 which includes married couples only, 56% of the participants of the survey said that during their marriage they had at least one sexual encounter with a person that is not their spouse. Are you living in a relationship and suspect that your partner is cheating on you, or doing other stuff he/she shouldn’t be doing on your/her computer (flirting harshly on community sites, MSN messenger contacts, webcam usage, microphone usage or visiting sites that are uncomfortable in a relationship.. the list goes on.

This is where All In One Keylogger can be there to save you from wasting time on your relationship, you wonder what your partner does when he/she is on the computer and you are away or working night shift. Well there is no reason to keep wondering and being paranoid about what she might be doing, you can find it out directly by downloading the trial version straight away (it is amazingly easy to set up, and the best part is that it is totally undetectable/invisible in windows, so no one can find out it’s installed and running.. read more on product site for more detailed info).

It basically records all keystrokes, and shows in which program the text has been typed in, stores visited sites and you can set it up to take a picture of the screen for example every 10 seconds!

Employers:
In the survey that took place in Britain in the year 2006, 87% of the employees participating in the survey said that they surf on the internet during their work at least once a week. 73% of them said that they surf at least once a day. 23% of them said that they dedicate more time to surfing on the internet than to their work! In the additional survey that took place in the same year answered 36% of the employers, participants of the survey mentioned that they are afraid that secrets of the company will be sent to their competitors from the company computers by their employees. 4% announced that they fell victim to the theft of company secrets by their workers from the company computers.

Are you running a small sized company, and wonder why you aren’t getting as much work done as you should be getting. Well the solution is here, with All In One Keylogger you can make sure who are actually working and who are not. The result can be scary, you might find out that the employee is actually playing online poker half day or such, no wonder that the results aren’t so promising. There are a lot of people who don’t care as long as their getting paid, so they will just entertain themselves in some way instead of actually working.

Download trial (7 days free):
http://www.plimus.com/jsp/download_trial.jsp?contractId=1682768&referrer=Niar

Parents:
Today, almost every child has access to internet. This comes thanks to the advance in technology, but has also risks involved. Did you know that: The average age when the children encounter pornography in the internet is 11? The age of the largest pornography consumer group in the internet is between 12 to 17? 85% of children between the ages 6-16 encountered pornographic content intentionally or unintentionally (most of them while preparing their homework). 25% of children between ages 9-17 will freely disclose their home address in the internet? 60% of children who committed suicide, declared their intentions online directly or indirectly? One in five children who use the computer chat rooms has been approached over the internet by pedophiles? Only 25% of youth who received sexual solicitation told a parent.

The children today are very sophisticated and most of us parents don’t have the knowledge to know what they are doing behind their closed doors in front of the computer. Are they browsing to inappropriate websites, are they downloading illegal content using P2P programs that will in the future result in lawsuits of thousands of dollars? What personal information they disclose about themselves, are they talking to adults, or maybe they meet them?

All In One Keylogger has many features:

No activity on your computer will be able to evade this high quality Keylogger. Does your kid make secret chat conversations with adult strangers? Maybe even with a pedophile that searches for his next victim? Does he surf to pornographic sites? Maybe he even exposes his personal details where he is not supposed to? Does he use P2P programs, sharing copyrighted materials which could constitute a pretext to a lawsuit of tens thousands of dollars? Have you ever wondered why does your husband “work” on his computer so late at the night? Does he have a secret online lover?Have you ever wondered who is your wife’s “partner” she talks with all the time? Do your employees surf on the internet instead of doing their work which you pay them for? Do they sell company secretes to your competitors? A high quality Keylogger should give you the answers to all these questions. No activity will be able to evade from it. No undesirable activity will be able to evade from you! As said, a high quality Keylogger is an “All In One Keylogger”, so just press this link to download “All In One Keylogger”:

Download trial (7 days free):
http://www.plimus.com/jsp/download_trial.jsp?contractId=1682768&referrer=Niar

With this program everything is possible, from getting a password to any community site, e-mail or forums and seeing all chat logs or messages – to recording microphone sounds (cybersex or the chat with another person and even webcam activity!
I tried to bring up the most important things in this article, but there sure is more to read if you still aren’t sure, simply visit the links provided and read more about people who have bought the product or view the awards that the product has received. Everyone has different use or needs of the program, and it sure was a relief to my head after finally getting answer to my questions using this brilliant program.

I happened to be in a Coffee Beanery (yes, caffeine is also a close friend of mine. I will blog about just how deep that love goes, later) with a friend this morning. We were speaking with another customer (who happens to be a white guy) about live entertainment which used to take place at that location on certain weekends. The guy was describing another guy who would come up there frequently to sing while playing the keyboard. He seemed familiar, so I asked, ” white guy?”

At which point, my friend nudges me. I was not only confused but a little embarrassed because it wasn’t like the guy whom we were talking to, missed that. He totally saw the whole thing and tried to blow it off as if he didn’t. After he walked away (he was not white but black, by the way. Wrong man), I turned to my friend and just waited…but she didn’t say anything.

So I decided to start it off, “umm. Ouch? That hurt (not at all, but…still). Care to explain what that was all about?”

It boiled down to her feeling as if it was RUDE of me to say….white? WTF? Why are we so hung up on those type of things these days? Racism has screwed us up so much that we are afraid to describe one another. I completely get it when it comes to mistaking a Japanese man for a Chinese man!! Come on!! Have we gotten that paranoid that we can not say black or white? In public, for goodness sake?!!?! Someone is sharing a story with you which involves another person. The whole time, you’re trying to get a full picture. This means that you’re wondering what that person looks like. You want a DESCRIPTION!!! Tall vs. short? Thin vs. heavier? Male vs. female? Hell, are they white or black?! Geez!!!

Right now, I could care less what you are claiming to be in regards to race. Have you ever had a conversation with ANYONE in public and you happened to be in a place that was very diverse? Did this person go to describe someone and bring their voice all the way down to a whisper when they said the word white, black, Mexican, Arab, Jewish…..? Mouthing the word, lmao!!

How about YOU, reader? Are you guilty of this as well?

I once had a white, political science professor who would get nervous (seems to me) whenever he had to say black people or white people. Especially, black people. He would say, “white p-p-pe’-ople” and then, b-b-b-b-black p-p-pe’ople.” This guy does NOT have a stuttering problem!! Okay?

Back to my friend: She claimed that she would have preferred if I had utilized the word Caucasian. GET THE (BONKKK!) OUTTA HERE!!!

Whatever….

I prefer to be called black/Black, African American (although I don’t feel that there is a such thing as AFRO American. Afro is a hairstyle. Remember?), AMERICAN, or even “of color.” As long as I’m not called the N-word, which I have been a couple of times– by an older white woman, and also a younger white woman. As long as I am not called coon, monkey, tar baby, colored gal, fat girl (oops. This does not really bother me either)— or any other slur that was meant to degrade my race.

Oh, my friend is African American, by the way.

Complete with exhaustive footnotes: Some sort of advisory group recently recommended that women begi

Complete with exhaustive footnotes:

Some sort of advisory group recently recommended that women begin mammography screening for breast cancer at age 50, up from the previous recommendation of beginning at age 40. This has generated a fair amount of debate along two lines. The first line of comment is, “I want my mammograms, I don’t care how much it costs, it it saves even one life it’s worth it, and anyway I was diagnosed with breast cancer at age 42.” The second point of controversy is whether this heralds an era of rationed care associated with government controlled health care.

It would be effortlessly clever and irrefutable to point out that if you support government controlled health care reform, get ready for a lot more changes like this as the government seeks to control costs. Any government big enough to give you everything you want is big enough to take away everything you have. But I won’t make that point because anyone who thinks that rationing isn’t part of all (*) health care right now is an ostrich.

The reality is that every procedure costs money, every treatment costs money, every test costs money, every time you touch the health care system it costs money. If this were anything but health care, we would be a bunch of steely-eyes skinflints and demand value for our dollar. Yet because this is health care, we ignore reality to justify what we “want” … an unlimited helping of the best health care that medicine has to offer.

Mammography of women in their 40’s finds 2 cancers per 1,000 women (#) examined. It also finds 98 false positives per 1,000 women examined. A woman is 49 times more likely to be the victim of a false positive than a cancer diagnosis. And 900 of 1,000 are simply negative. So 998 women are subjected to radiation, worry and pain, and cost in order to diagnose the other 2 who have cancer.

Dr. Sanjay Gupta said that 75%-90% of women who are diagnosed with breast cancer have no “risk factors”. The lady (PhD & nurse practitioner) he was interviewing told him that the one good risk factor is age. If Gupta is unable to correlate a risk factor to such a large group of the affected population, then the scientific method (as opposed to TV puffery) would recommend looking for other risk factors because clearly the ones he’s looking at don’t correlate. Fortunately, the lady he was interviewing presented the meaningful risk factor, but Gupta (apparently continuing to practisc issue/advocacy journalism) was unable to make the intellectual shift.

No matter how much we test, there are going to be those who slip through undetected. And in the end, all patients die. There is testing that makes good sense, and there is testing that is based on paranoia and greed (@). The time has arrived for everyone involved, myself included, to understand that providing health care to the population must be based on rational decisions that respect the first half of this paragraph.

(*) Rich people and their families get better health care than you ever will. If you want that kind of health care, you have to be able to write a check for the services you want. If you aren’t writing the check, then whoever is writing the check does and will continue to decide what you get.

(#) Although men get and die from breast cancer, men are not screened at all. http://www.cancer.gov/cancertopics/types/breast The ratio of female to male breast cancer is about the same as the ratio of under-50 women who have breast cancer, yet there is zero advocacy for screening equally at risk men.

(@) Mammography is easy money, losing that business is not going to help anyone’s bottom line. The lady who runs one clinic complained that in the wake of the revised guidance, their business dropped from 25 patients to 17 patients per morning. They won’t meet their profit goals if that continues.

woke up from a pretty vivid dream. Almost a nightmare, not quite sure of what it is. But it is kind of funny, if only to me. In my dreams I always have realizations that shake me from ever doing anything that I am afraid of. In this case it was something simple. It was something that I used to enjoy, Something I would do listening to music, and something that made my life alot more exciting, yet a little too exciting for even me.

My nightmares are like Kandinsky paintings

This might have been a product of a nicotine patch, but it can’t be because I took it off before I went to bed. So here it is.

I am offered a little something green. I feel fine. I am hanging out with people from work, and some of mine and Lisa’s friends. Then all of a sudden I start….thinking. I tell this one overdramatic girl, that I usually don’t partake because I have a condition called thought broadcasting. She doesn’t believe me. So I say. watch this. This is so vivid, that I had to write it down. Yes, thats right it is 5:20 and I have just woken up from a stoner dream.

Alright back to the dream. So there I am, and there she is. And she doesn’t believe me that I can thought broadcast or whatever. I am still laughing in my head, when I think of some of the things here. O.K, So I let out a thought, and like a shot gun, it goes right into her head. And she starts immediately crying. Not a bullet, just a thought. She looks at me like I am some kind of freak, and runs off.

At this point, I realize that I can’t partake in this american past time around people, so I get back to my little place. By myself, I sit down, and turn on the radio, I hear some lousy local radio station playing some shit hip-hop. I feel the beat, and I start to begin to free style. At this point I begin my free style, and the DJ tells me “to shut the fuck up”. I say outloud to him, “just play the music little monkey man” He starts talking on the radio, and begins to threaten me. It’s almost like the Warriors, when they are accused of killing the “can you dig it guy”, and that lipsticked woman, keeps giving clues to where the Warriors live, and how to find them, and to take care of them. So the DJ says he is going to find me, or other people will hunt me down, like a goddamn witch hunt. So like my head tends to do, like a nervous tick, in my head, I start yelling my street address, and where to find me. All of a sudden, I am back to where I was when that girl caught a thought broadcast. She and everyone of my friends ditches me leaving only, a bullet proof vest, and my bag. And I say “hey can I atleast get a ride?” I begin to walk, and I see, a friend of mine, and another girl, with a tennis racket and a headband on. And they are out for blood. So, my friends start chasing me to this like hotel pool area, and we begin fighting. This one mercenary guy comes after me, someone who is after me, and I begin to do all this weird martial arts stuff on him. I nearly drown him in the water, and break his hand. He asks “wow, what is that move, that really hurts” and I say “I don’t know, I just know how to do it.” We both contemplate on how awesome these moves are for a second then after I break his hand… I am back at my little place.
My place is a room that reoccurs in my dreams, it looks like an office, with a pool table. Everything is wood, there is that cold feeling when I get in this room. Anyway, I walk into the room, and put the TV on, and there is a town meeting on. Or more like a live news address. I start talking to the TV. Everyone flips out. All of a sudden, everyone starts panicking screaming “he’s back, he’s back”. And I say out loud to the TV, something to the effect of “what the f? chill out”, or something to this one guy who points in the air like he is seeing Godzilla. In my dreams I am amazed at how idiotic all these people are. All of a sudden, this ridiculous dooms day bell starts ringing, syncopated like on the news. Anyway this bell is ringing, and its on every local news channel, and people start selling anything I have ever owned, or burning it i like it is cursed.
And all because I took a toke. I had a few tokes. and all of a sudden, people are afraid of me, DJ’s are after me, sending mercenaries after me that I fight off with sweet incredible kung fu skills, people are afraid of me and the dooms day bell starts ringing. So basically my brain is telling me if I smoke ever again, I will bring about a doomsday like scenario, where I do have sweet free styles, and sweet moves, yet also bring about the destruction of the planet, according to the home shopping network and channel 5.

that ladies and gentleman is why I don’t smoke weed. I woke up exactly at 5:20 and had to laugh. I guess, it is because I am over everything 4:20…and if you don’t understand this dream, and it sounds a little crazy, remember I dreamed it, and tried to recall everything as best as I could so (middle finger in the air) I am going back to bed.

However in real life, an update about me, I am healthier and more sound then I have ever been…My dreams are just a little effed up.

Greed is Terrorism Our modern society got whipped into an impossible to escape corner,

Greed is Terrorism

Our modern society got whipped into an impossible to escape corner, where everyone is a victim to greed, even and especially the greedy themselves.

Politicians, oil company owners, religious leaders, any nation great or poor, and even crime and justice; every good aspect of life got polluted with the paranoia of those who would sue, those who would take actions in repercussions, and this overall feeling of on empowerment to take control of major situations and crisis in this world.

Starvation, health care bills, reform, gas prices, any war that is going on, the actual terrorist and any extremist out there. We lost value. We lost a lot of major codes and ethics to be following. We lost our sense of mannerisms and the importance of being a working functioning community. We lost our ability to forgive sins and know that life will always go on.

Everything I wrote so far, which probably is a bit confusing to digest and understand, is the accumulation of the nonsense plaguing some of my immediate friends and this country, as well as myself.

We allowed debt and creditors to be a control factor. We allowed everyone to be this pay to fix service and no guarantee that anyone can earn or have the money for any of these services. A throw away and break down society. A society that only hired people in part time droves and refuse to deal with benefits and health coverage. A society that guns and feeds on other peoples lack of well being, education, and understanding. A society that suffers from the ignorance of others, nonstop and constantly. A society endangering itself to be annihilated.

All in the name of pain, suffering, and material possession and obsession.

All that is useless once you enter your grave.

So I continue to wonder what wake up call is needed to humble those whom stepped so far out of line that they need to remember why it is important to preserve humanity in masses. Why should we rely on blood shed and sacrifice to make points? What point in time do we consider the attacks on modern living a crisis?

Greed has destroyed this country in so many ways it isn’t funny. I would end up writing encyclopedias of pages just to point out specific details. Our over information world where there is no heads and tails anymore and everything is one giant greedy agenda after another is a formula for disaster.

The best way to resolve this problem is to enforce a unity and let all the self proclaim powers to be that the nonsense ends now. Show force though non violent means. Force the conscious of right decisions to be made. The rest should fall into place.

I’m definitely tired of the nonsense of job lost, hearing how hard work ends up meaningless and without proper results, how past sins can never be forgiven but we still just let people sit in rot mode without any answers or results to their needs.

I’m also extremely tired of people’s rights to life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness being violated in the mass droves that it has been. Let’s work together united to end this plight of unemployment, under employment, better education, better banking and investing decisions, lowering the cost of living or making more people earn that cost of living, making laws to protect the masses, give reasons to never commit crimes rather than this ideal that deterrent is enough, protect peoples rights and ability to be self reliant, and stop with the constant inhibitions, oppressions, fears, paranoia’s, worries, concerns, and everything else under the sun, moon, and stars that creates this self perpetual spinning mass of disaster.

It’s also time to stop cowering behind all the vocabulary terms in distain to keep these ignorant agenda’s alive. I don’t care what you call yourself. I care what you are doing to help those upon the mass droves so everyone can live a better, happier life.

This is just a portion of the emotions I go through, when one friend fights to find employment, another friend is piss that more jobs are part time rather than full time, I’m fighting to make my bank account good and tired of the major lack of cooperation in just getting people to do anything with other people these days. Let alone the possible passing of some health care reform bill where people will be fine $700 or $800 for not having health insurance, or how f’n high the cost of living became and every possible expectancy that exist out there but there is no guarantee or even a proper bone to begin a better growth process so these problems can be fixed and resolved.

Consider society a hand basket, and guess where everyone on earth will be going if we don’t start allowing common sense, will power, logic, a better forgiving game plan, and a united force to making this world better and more prosperous. At this rate, we may as well make constitutional laws that protects a citizen’s right to an income source (one that will allow them to prosper and budget), and make it very clear that all people are equal and no one is exempt from whatever penalties place onto others, just because they aren’t upon some idiotic status of ignorance and greed.

Basically people; greed is terrorism. It will be the death of this country and the death of this planet if we don’t start putting those who stepped out of line back in their place. Place in this case isn’t a specific noun position in life, but a position in life where your job is to make sure you help others prosper as well.

Chapter 3: All There Is

To see it, to know… we burn when that is inside of us.

Trying to open his eyes, oddly because it meant he would be blinded to what was before him.

We guess at our origin, you guess at yours, and I’m sure what made us will guess at its own. What would such pointless answers ever yield? Why ever ask such stupid questions?

He was watching it all begin, yet he already knew how this would end.

When it all falls into place, there is too much chance, too much chaos… you will bind it, bring it to a head, and smash it!

There was a woman, middle aged, and boring. She was talking on the phone and seemed in the middle of a very amusing conversation. It was gossip about someone she worked with, and as the conversation carried on, she got some bland microwave dinner out of the freezer ready to eat.

Absolutely nothing remarkable, and then out of the corner of his mind’s eye, he saw them standing in the shadows, smiling with dead eyes.

Where they went, darkness spread like a virus, making mold and fungus spread over the walls. Their eyes were wide and bright, but dead and plastic. Their mouths were forced into smiles, and closed with large zippers. Their skin was made of cheap fabric, meant to mimic fur, like their bladed hands were meant to mimic claws. He saw them scrambling over each other in what might be considered a comical fashion, but for some reason, he could feel their intent, and knew that they were very wrong things.

The woman stirred her not-so-appetizing meal with a fork to see if the middle was still frozen and cold, and all the while she carried on her conversation, ignorant of the strange teddy bear looking creatures that were fluttering around her.

The woman laughed, and bid farewell to whoever she was talking to. At this moment, he saw one of the creatures lift a hand in the air, and then make some sort of signal. One of the others took this to heart, and stood on top of the kitchen island that the woman was eating her food over, and unzipped its mouth to reveal some awful configuration of fangs and teeth underneath the face.

“Hey guys!” it shouted, raising its claws into the air. Its voice was like that of an ignorant child, but as it spoke, the woman finally saw it standing before her.

She had only one moment to gasp at the thing and become transfixed in terror… then the bear plunged its claws deep into her eye sockets. As she began to scream, another instantly leapt from the floor, and began to tear away at her neck. Within seconds, her desperate cry was turned into a soft gurgling sound, and was then muted entirely.

She tried to fight, but very pointlessly, and not very effectively. She was quickly losing a lot of blood, and now the strange bears were dragging her in a strange manner towards her living room, weaving an odd trail of her own blood as she tried to grab at her neck, before they tore her hands away.

He wanted desperately to be pulled away from what he was seeing. He could offer no cries of warning for her, he couldn’t help now, and his form still felt frozen, as though this was something he needed to see.

They ripped her clothing off, to better begin clawing and dissecting her. Her gaze was already dead looking, made worse by her torn and bloodied eyes, but still the monsters paraded about as though proclaiming their victory over her. They took turns tearing at her skin, ripping her organs out as she still desperately tried to breathe, biting and hacking; they were doing their best to turn her into nothing but a bloody pile.

“I do good,” one yelled proudly, as it stood on top of her, slashing at her breasts, “I make good for everyone! All is joy!”

The one that seemed to have handed out the order to kill the woman stood in the corner of the room, his foul festering presence now lessened, it seemed like he was looking intently for something in the room.

More of the small monsters began to join the one standing atop the woman, now they were united in a victory chant, as they paraded about her fingers, limbs, organs, whatever they could get their grubby little paws on.

“Finish!” the one in the corner screamed, halting the festivities. The others quickly took on a look of defeat.

The scene started to fade from him, and already he felt haunted, the words that began his dream started to return to him.

There is no fate, but what tireless minds set their selves to.

He wanted desperately to wake up.

We can not only alter our lives, our minds… let us set out, to alter heaven.

Duncan screamed at the top of his lungs to make it end.

It did end, and he found himself gasping in his own bed. He quickly sat upright, brushing off the brief wave of dizziness that followed, and rubbed his eyes, making sure it was really his own room he was looking at. He tried to follow into some kind of wakeful routine, but kept coming back to his dream. It seemed too life like, even the abstract and strange parts. He looked towards his window, and all he could picture was the strange devilish smiles from whatever those things were.

Looking at his clock, he saw that it was still four in the morning. He studied his darkened room, and turned the lamp on, figuring that getting back to sleep in such a rattled state would be impossible. He was still half hung over, and now with little sleep, and work in four hours, he anticipated the day being spectacularly shitty.

Making his way downstairs, Duncan decided to try some aspirin and orange juice to calm his head. He’d spent a lot of his night out drinking with some of his co-workers, but he left early considering he needed to go to work today. Still got drunk enough for a hangover though, it seemed.

His limbs felt stiff, his eyes couldn’t focus on anything, and drinking the orange juice was like swallowing acid.

Duncan decided he would call in sick today once he threw up the orange juice. He felt it burned more on the way out than it did going in.

Once he felt slightly composed around five thirty in the morning, he remembered that he had his phone off the whole night, and he made his way back to his room to check his in box of messages. Two were from other people he barely knew, continuing conversations that weren’t very interesting, and one message from Amelia dated just last evening, around an hour or so after he left the house. He opened it.

“I’m sorry. Please call me,” was all it said.

Fuck her, he thought bitterly, if I ever see her again, it’ll be too soon.

His bitterness would obviously subside later, because he also thought that he would never drink any alcohol after last night’s escapades. There was an entire mountain of shit Duncan wanted to never concern himself with ever again at this moment, but once he would stop puking and shake his foggy dream out from his throbbing head, he would likely reconsider things.

When his alarm clock went off and woke him up for normal work hours, he instead just called his supervisor and told him he had been throwing up all morning. He wasn’t lying at the very least, a somewhat comforting thought as he drifted back into a shallow sleep. He spent most of his morning thinking how much being alive was an awful thing at the moment, and remaining perfectly still.

Returning to the world of the living was a slow process, but once he was able to keep breakfast in his stomach, he figured the worst had past, and drank as much water as possible to try and ease the transition.

He spent most of his day in somber reflection of events past, trying to constantly steer himself away from how vivid his nightmare was. The downside to this, was he now felt very guilty and awful. Constantly looking at his phone, he was determined not to give in and call her, considering walking next door and seeing her face to face would be an easier and more proper thing to do. The idea of a face to face conversation also seemed entirely tiresome as well though.

At around one in the afternoon, when it felt most of the annoyances of his hangover were gone, Duncan went out to procure lunch for him and his mother, and then decided to take a walk a few blocks away to visit his friend Theo after he finished eating.

While he strolled through his neighborhood, he took in deep breathes of the cold and damp air and felt somewhat relieved. While the sun was an annoyance, getting out and moving again felt somewhat refreshing. His head still ached a little, but now that he was hydrated and moving, he felt the stiffness in his limbs ease, and began to reflect a little more positively on his choices.

Duncan knocked twice on the door and quickly decided to just waltz in of his own accord. Theo never had the place locked, and Duncan visited often enough and knew both Theo and his roommate well enough to make it no trouble or bother. He saw Theo sitting in the living room playing a video game, and greeted him.

“Ducky man,” Theo exclaimed, “You look like a bag of ass!”

“Got a little too confident last night,” was his hint as to why he was in such a frazzled state.

Theo paused his game and turned his wheel chair to address Duncan better, but he had already made his way into the kitchen to see what kind of soda Theo and his roommate had stocked.

“You just come here to steal my shit, Reynolds?”

Ducky’s response was to walk back into the living room sipping his drink.

“So what brings you here, Duck-Duck?”

“Bored. I called in sick from work today. What’re you playing?”

“Vantica II.”

“Ah, explains why I had no idea what the hell it was at first glance.”

Duncan sat on the couch and made himself at home as Theo wheeled himself back to resume his game, quickly moving to conversation, as foreign role playing games weren’t very appealing to Ducky as they were to Theo. Oddly enough though, it was Theo that soon shifted the conversation into real focus.

“Oh yeah,” he spoke during a lull in their talking, “Ami called me last night to talk. Sounded really upset, you know why?”

Duncan just sunk his head for a moment, trying to think of a kind reply to offer.

“She’s had some stuff she’s been worrying about lately. Trying to pin a lot of it onto me.”

“Why, because you won’t put out?”

“Man, fuck you, Theodore.” Despite goading him with his full name into argument, Theo just laughed hysterically.

“So what, you pal around with her since you were like, six right? Do you really not have any interest in her, or are you just trying to play a straight face?”

“I don’t know. I’ve got better shit to worry about.”

“Not getting any younger though, Ducky.” Theo kept talking as he moved into the kitchen to get himself a drink. “Were I a man in your position, I’d be shitting myself over how wonderful life is treating me, not scoffing and trying to focus on the negative.”

“You say that about anyone that can walk, Theo. Without bothering to take into account how different people’s lives are.”

“Well, consider this then,” Theo ignored the insult, “how would you feel if she stopped hanging out with you, and started dating some stuffy wealthy actor type guy?”

“Relieved. She wouldn’t be so clingy anymore.”

“You’re rich, Duck-Duck,” Theo laughed again, taking some sort of pain medication that Ducky likely couldn’t guess the name of. “But I think that’s what you need to consider. You say I’m jealous of people that can walk? You’re fucking right I am! You need to be the same way with Ami, I think. Don’t really understand what you have, and how good it is, until it’s gone.”

Duncan didn’t say anything, so Theo drove the knife deeper.

“At least I figure you’d know what that frame of mind is like with your mom slowly dying and all. But I guess you won’t get there until she’s actually dead.”

It was cutting, but considering the person speaking, Ducky didn’t bother to counter it with any bitter words of his own. He sat sullen and looked at the TV, as it displayed a static screen of a menu overlapping heroes on some grand journey.

“Listen, Ducky, I don’t mean to be a dick, but you and Ami are both friends of mine, and honestly? This game between the two of you is kind of old. The reason you’re so quiet right now is because your mind is perfectly made up and you know what you want. She’s just better at articulating it than you are… or you’re just too proud to admit you’re wrong, or… whatever the hell, I don’t care. So can the two of you just fuck already?”

“So eloquently put, Theo.”

“Don’t you think it’s just a little funny though, that your gimpy friend gets more action than you?”

“You can play the sympathy card,” Duncan retorted, with a sly smile.

“And it works! That’s what’s important.” Quickly turning away from idle amusement though, Theo quickly got back to the topic at hand.

“Seriously though, why the hell do you just run away from anything that bothers you?”

“I avoid it because it bothers me in that it annoys the shit out of me. When things calm down with me, then everyone can start bitching and yelling at me again.”

“What, something about your job or your mom bothering you again?” Theo looked him up and down, unsure of what it was that was on Ducky’s mind, but he knew it was beyond Ami now.

“I’m not sure, might be a bit of both?”

“What?”

“Last few nights…” he realized what he going to say would make him look foolish, so he spoke the rest wearing a worried smile. “Last few nights I’ve been having some bad dreams. The one I had before I woke up today was particularly bad.”

“Huh…” Theo looked puzzled for a second, “You drop any Red M while out partying last night?”

“What? God, no! I’m not into any of that shit. I rarely even go out drinking like I did last night.”

Theo seemed relieved at the answer, and Duncan knew why. Red M was a popular street drug that screwed with brain waves, making the user feel like reality was some hazy dream. For most, it was a good way to get high, but it was also known for disrupting the brain’s ability to tell the waking and sleeping states apart. Most addicts rarely sleep well, and are always plagued by nightmares, or worse. Duncan wasn’t the type to delve into even the most recreational drug, much less the hard and crazy stuff.

“Well, in that case Duck-Duck, what was the dream about?”

“Some woman… I didn’t know her but I could see her clear as day. Just kind of… living her boring life I guess, and then these weird animals mauled her, killed her.”

Recalling the details made the images flash though his mind again. Duncan felt sick again, but not because of his hangover.

“They enjoyed it though, I understood that. They acted like killing her was some kind of game.”

“Well…” Theo seemed stumped, “that’s odd.”

“I know. I’m not ever really bothered by shit like that but… it was so vivid.”

Theo remained silent, thinking deeply about some kind of reply. Despite his seemingly constant jovial nature, Duncan knew Theo well enough to understand that he was actually a very profoundly deep person. After being diagnosed with his condition, Theo seemed to leave the whole world behind for more than a year, never speaking a word to those close to him. When he came back into everyone’s life, he’d confessed that he spent time going to churches and temples for various religions, and spent lots of time reading about philosophy. He wasn’t overtly spiritual or philosophical, at least not that Duncan thought, but he was a far more involved and interested in meaningful conversation. Among their circle of friends, Theo now often acted like something between a parent, a priest, and a therapist.

“Between this and other shit,” Ducky continued, “Like my mom’s been sick the last couple of days, but still keeps trying to push her luck, and yesterday was my first day off in two weeks… just mounts up, you know?”

Now Theo offered his voice.

“You need a vacation, man.”

“I don’t really want to just get some rest and relaxation to cure what ails me.”

“Why the hell not?”

“I wanted to save that time for when my mom dies. I’ll get a leave of absence, sure, but after that I was going to use my paid vacation time to… I don’t know, sort shit out, or get some time to myself? Something…”

“Ah, I see,” now Theo was contemplating something else. “That does put you in a bit of a bind I guess. I can’t really argue with your plan, but at the same time that doesn’t leave much else…”

Duncan kind of sat still, not willing to say anything. He figured if Theo didn’t have an answer for him, than he was in real trouble. Theo always had the answers.

Theo rolled to the front of his television, and turned off his TV and computer, to better focus on the conversation at hand, it seemed.

“Maybe what you need is a change of ideas, Ducky?”

“Like what, just pretend every day is better than the one before it? Something lame like that.”

“No, you confuse my meaning,” Theo looked odd for a moment, as though he lost the intention of his words as well. “I mean a shift, not a change from good to bad or vice-versa, just, a new direction, you know?”

“Like what,” he chuckled at the notion, “saying that I should take some time off to find God?”

“Maybe,” despite Duncan’s jesting, Theo remained serious.

“If you feel like you’re in a rut now, and you don’t like it, then you need to consider something drastic, Duck-Duck. But the thing is, climbing out of a hole isn’t easy. I think that could be your problem, you’re looking for an easy way out. There never is one. So you can either face what’s bugging you, or find the long way to get around it. Either way you’ll have your problems behind you. Use that thought on the long term to stay focused now, something like that… get it?”

“I guess…” he looked away from Theo, stuck far in reflection now his self. He was trying to be far less melodramatic about it like he was earlier in the day though.

Theo seemed content to let Duncan stew in his own reflection for a bit, before interjecting with a slight sense of urgency.

“Anyways, good talking to you, Ducky… but my girlfriend’s coming over in a bit, so…”

“Ah, right,” he snapped himself out of his thoughts, suddenly feeling like he was being entirely too rude to Theo. “Sorry man, didn’t mean to come over and drag you down.”

“Nah,” Theo remarked, “I like that people come to me to talk about stuff like this. Makes me feel like I’m actually good for something, you know?”

Despite the fact that his handicap was often the butt of many jokes, it always tore Duncan up inside to see his friend say something like that. He’d only been confined to a wheelchair for a few years now, and seemed to be adjusting, but Ducky could always see a trace of an everlasting resentment and sorrow from Theo regarding his condition. Theo was always the strong member of the group, not physically, but if there was anything that anyone needed, Theo would be the first they called. It always seemed to Duncan that Theo felt people looked down on him now, as though losing his ability to walk somehow made him a terrible person. Everyone would always say otherwise, and Duncan respected Theo more than any other human being around, but he could see that Theo would never fully allow himself to understand that.

As he walked back home, he felt sorry for Theo, not because of his handicap, but because he was always the one helping, he always knew the right thing to say… yet it seemed no one else could find the right thing to tell Theo in return.

A sudden turn in thought, and Duncan back tracked a bit, and walked to a park he lived close to. He walked around the shade and the trees along the many paths that crossed through the place, before deciding to sit on a bench that overlooked the water fountain that was the main centerpiece of the park. He wasn’t one to really sit an admire anything, but for whatever reason, he was compelled to rest here all alone, compiling his thoughts into something manageable.

It amazed him that in spite of mostly being very secure and having such a comfortable lifestyle, Ducky felt completely out of control and felt every event he dealt with, was some form of fate conspiring against him. Tomorrow he would go to work, and come home, and all would be well, and as normal as normal could be for him. Yet he still felt like he was on the brink of disaster. Worse, he felt that if disaster came, it would somehow be his fault.

Another thing that was bothering him greatly, was even with his comfortable suburban lifestyle, and how he was so in control of his finances and future at such a young age, Duncan felt that he was missing something.

It wasn’t that he felt he needed a relationship, or greater success to be happy, Duncan felt that there was an entire part of his life that was missing. That it was something he should have had at one point, but didn’t. There was longing involved with such thoughts, but he had no idea what he was longing for, or why. It was as though someone had erased a part of himself, and while he knew it wasn’t there, he wasn’t allowed to know or understand what it was in the first place.

Duncan felt empty, because of this… because of many things.

With such lovely scenery around him, and so many people walking around enjoying the sights, or jogging, or whatever, Duncan felt out of place, so he finally left and returned him. As he opened the door, he noticed the TV was on, and his mother was asleep on the couch again. He turned the TV off, and went to get a blanket to throw over her. He couldn’t really be upset, rest was good for her, and he knew that some days, merely climbing the stairs in their home to sleep in her own bed was simply far too challenging a task.

Leaving her to sleep for now, he thought it would be better to see if she had the energy later to eat something for dinner, and he returned to his own room to brood.

He saw that he left his phone on his dresser while he was out, and the flashing red light to show that he had a new text message was flashing. He checked it, and of course it was from Amelia.

“Can you call me soon, please?” was all it said.

He sat it back on his dresser, and fell into his desk chair, looking apathetically at the roof. He knew this time that he couldn’t just blind himself to what was bothering him, but he was still highly hesitant to do anything about it. It was a strange and foreboding sense of trepidation that kept him at the brink, ever looking down as the world spun around him. Duncan recalled his last conversation with Amelia, how she didn’t want to leave next year to university, how she didn’t want to give up her old life, and he realized now he related to that feeling greatly.

It was impossible to see the future as some grand and wonderful thing when his social circle was shrinking, his mother was going to die soon, and realizing that all his hopes were pinned on his career, as he had no other family to fall back on once his mother was gone. Now, the future looked like overtime on a weekend, bills, boring and overly critical conversations with his supervisor, and returning to a home that would likely feel more like a mausoleum. It wasn’t anything drastically horrible to think about, but the bleakness of it just seemed to suck all of the motivation out of him to do anything. Even when he got out of the house to partake of activities he usually enjoyed, now it felt rote, like he was just going through the motions to say that he had done something even remotely productive before the day was finished.

It wasn’t that he hated his life now, he just wished so dearly the last year or two hadn’t come to pass, as though he could steer his life down a different course. Such a strange sense of lost optimism seemed to permeate everything, as though a different direction for him would even cure his mother’s cancer.

He picked up his phone again, read over the messages again and again, and let out a moan of displeasure as he set it back down and looked at the roof in both boredom and annoyance.

What Duncan didn’t like to consider more than anything, was the sinking feeling in his stomach, that things were only going to get worse for him from here on out.

And everything is barely mist, blood relations and bricks.
My expression, my confession, add it up, extract a lesson more than this
Once again, like a bullet as a friend, tell me: can that be all there is?

- Caixotes do lixo;

- Frigideiras;

- Rebarbadoras (sim, até tivemos a oportunidade de ver os “pseudo-mestres” com as rebarbadoras a funcionar) – um espectáculo de luz e, mais uma vez, ritmos/sincronismo fabulosos;

- Cachimbos de água;

- Barbatanas;

- Etc…

Final do concerto, publico de pé, aplaudindo;

(Both the own persons and a possible strangers webcam if he/she is watching naked teenagers behind your back). And best of all: you will have PROOF of what you have seen, which you obviously wont if you just suspect something without this program.

Well, this post is long long overdue. I had intended to update this site more often than once a deca

Well, this post is long long overdue. I had intended to update this site more often than once a decade, but kept putting this particular post off and off. But finally, here it is…all about me…who I am, why I am and some of the things that go on inside my head. I’ve never put this down in black and white before so it may not be totally coherent, but let’s see what happens.

Well, my name (more of an initial really) is G. I’m a photographer and I live and work mainly in Central Scotland. I get to photograph some amazingly beautiful, interesting and cool ladies and I can’t imagine a better or more enjoyable job to do.

However, for a long time, I’ve had a few issues and they’re the main thing this post will be about…an explanation of my body and mind.

So, I suffer from a condition called Social Phobia, aka Social Anxiety Disorder. What this means is that any situation where other people are involved – from a party to a simple wander round the supermarket – are a total nightmare for me. I get very stressed, paranoid, agitated and irritated to the point of frequently shaking and sweating. In fact, if it wasn’t for my MP3 player and headphones, I would probably go on a rampage or run screaming from the situation.

Obviously public speaking, performing or team activity is out of the question for me. But I have to interact with people as a photograper – models, makeup artists, chaperones, etc. – and I have to make a strong, concerted effort in those situations not to become a stressed out gibbering wreck.

It has become worse over the past few years. I always used to be told I was just shy and the best way to get over it was to confront it and just get on with it – what is known as the “Snap out of it!” suggestion – but that just made it harder and harder to cope. It has got to the point where I rarely go out, never to parties or other gatherings. The only places that I feel safe and comfortable are in my car and my flat – with the windows closed and doors locked, keeping the outside world, and other people, at bay. I have to make a conscious and major effort to go into the outside world and sometimes I just don’t manage it.

It even contributed in a very large part to the end of my marriage – my ex-wife is a very friendly, gregarious person. She loved going out with friends, visiting parks, simply being in the outside. However, for me that was a nightmare. I’d get depressed, angry, agitated and it was directed at her because she wanted me to do things that I just couldn’t face. At the time, neither of us realised that there was a mental illness involved as I hadn’t been diagnosed then.

When I went to college to learn photography properly a few years ago – I had to drive every day because I couldn’t cope with all the other people on the train. I managed to get through a 1 year NQ course because I was totally focussed on what I was learning.

However, I then tried to do a 2 year HND course – this was much more stressful. Constant scrutiny from tutors and lecturers, standing in front of the class for presentations, everything that panics and stresses me. As a result I missed a lot of classes and dropped out before the end of the first year – the noise, closeness and constant contact with so many other people was just too much.

As a further symptom of this condition, I suffer bouts of depression from the constant solitude and stress. So, my remedy for this has been to compulsively eat or spend. As a result, I’m almost 40kg overweight and was declared bankrupt a few years ago after amassing quite a substantial debt in loans and on credit cards.

Financially, my life is getting back on track. I now have no debts to anyone but my family for rescuing me and helping me so much. If not for my parents…well, I don’t know where I’d be now.

Physically, I’m finally making an effort to sort that out too. I’ve joined a gym – one of Duncan Bannatyne’s health clubs – and I’m trying to go every day, though sometimes I don’t make it. Because of the proximity of so many people in the changing rooms or gym, I get stressed and can feel the panic starting to rise, before I even leave home to go there or sometimes sitting in the car outside the gym preparing to go in. But I still try and more often than not, I manage. Although yet again, if not for my headphones and MP3 player, I probably wouldn’t even get out of bed, never mind go for a workout.

So, I think that’ll do for now. That’s part one of this post…what’s going on in my brain. I have a few body issues too, but I’ll leave them for another time.

A guy is suffering from Paranoia and has closed himself up in a dark room, has shut off all the light coming into the room)

“The sun goes down, I feel the light betray me……..”- Papercut by Linkin Park

Keep the lights off. I like darkness. Light brings along with it all the betrayals and deceives I have always faced. They frighten me. No one is true to me. My trust in mankind has shattered. Even in the darkness I feel the walls closing in. The room is getting smaller and smaller. It’s like I am in hell and the devil has made me sit on this rock of life to watch every incident, every face, every experience, every shame, every failure, my whole life in a flashback. These faces are everywhere in this room. I shut my eyes and try to fade them away but they re-appear in my mind. They shout at me, laugh at me and are breaking me into millions of tiniest pieces of glass which are as sharp as a sword and it feels like these glass pieces are all over my heart, covering every inch, going slowly deeper into the heart with every passing second and bleeding out every single drop of blood out of my body. I am decaying gradually to death, these voices are killing me.

Please stop shouting at me. I cannot bear this. You are killing me. Get out of my head. PLEASE! PLEASE!

I didn’t sleep since months. My eyes are numb now. I can’t tell anymore if my eyes are open or shut. These faces stay in front of me no matter what. I have decided to lock myself down in this dark room. I don’t want to go out. I don’t want to face this world again. Everyone looks at me as if I have committed the worst crime ever known to mankind. They don’t like me. It’s better to stay inside than to watch those eyes of the whole world stabbing every spot of my body with their eyes.

I will tear myself down! Stop calling my name! No! Go away!

Keep the lights off. I like darkness. Light scares me. Dark is lonely, SAFE

Conspiracy Theory versus Revelation The theory of communism was built on a faulty premise and, thus,

Conspiracy Theory versus Revelation

The theory of communism was built on a faulty premise and, thus, was doomed to not work in practice. Christians who believe in the Bible should be able to quickly apprehend that Conspiracy Theory is faulty at its core. Thus we should not be surprised at its failure in practice.

Somebody Forgot To Check Their Scriptures...

Fundamental to Conspiracy Theory is a basic view of the world. This view is defined by its adherents as the “Conspiratorial View” of history. This explanation of the course of history is pitted against the “Linear View” of history (or somesuch). These, we are told, are the only options! (This smacks of Marx’s false dichotomy that only two classes existed.)

But it is just not true.

Dare we mention it, at least one other possible explanation of why things happen is the “Biblical View.”

Amos 3:7 – Surely the Sovereign Lord does nothing without revealing his plan to his servants the prophets.

And Scripture never mentions anything anywhere even approaching the scope of Conspiracy Theory.

In general, The Bible neither denies real human conspiracies nor suggests that they are a major factor in history. Scripture puts conspiracies where they belong: as an occasional and hard to maintain sideshow.

2 Samuel 15:12- … And so the conspiracy gained strength, and Absalom’s following kept on increasing.

Acts 23:21 – The next morning the Jews formed a conspiracy and bound themselves with an oath not to eat or drink until they had killed Paul.

But never in the Bible are we encouraged to imagine that conspiracy is the grand explanation of history or the overarching issue of causality in human affairs. In fact, just the opposite is commanded.

Isaiah 8:12-13 - “Do not call conspiracy everything that these people call conspiracy; do not fear what they fear, and do not dread it. The Lord Almighty is the one you are to regard as holy, he is the one you are to fear, he is the one you are to dread.”

The lesson seems to be that there are certain times that the temptation to blame what is happening on conspiracy or evil alliances should be distinctly avoided, by direct command of the Lord.

Beyond skewering the fundamental thesis of the “Conspiratorial View” (unless we are willing to accuse God of “missing it”), Scripture makes it plain that if we are near the “end of the age,” which Christian Conspiracy Theorists generally assert, it is then in particular that we are clearly admonished NOT to be deceived into thinking that conspiracy is behind it.

Anyone familiar with prophetic Scripture knows that God is very keen on letting us know that He is behind the events surrounding the first and second coming of Christ.

Psalms 2:1-2 – Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord, and against his anointed….

Why indeed? Some answer this according to “the Gospel of Conspiracy Theory”: that this is due to a human conspiracy. Some claim “ministries” spreading this distracting paranoia. But God, while lambasting many a real conspiracy throughout history, says it is not so.

The following is representative of dozens of end-times passages:

Psalms 33:10 - The Lord foils the plans of the nations; he thwarts the purposes of the peoples.

Is it not amazing that Scripture completely misses what Conspiracy Theory made popular? Boy did God blow this one! If He only knew what was “really going on.” If He were only more “informed!”

So it is God versus the conspiracy buffs. Tough one, eh?

Who ya gonna believe nowadays?

Isaiah 8:12 - “Do not call conspiracy everything that these people call conspiracy; do not fear what they fear, and do not dread it.”

Conspiracy” in the Heavenlies?

The only grand “conspiracy” spoken of in Scripture is a SPIRITUAL one led by Satan. And it is no secret: it has been REVEALED to those with ears to hear. Thus, it is no “conspiracy” to Christians, but an open war against the gospel of Christ and His life in the kingdom of God on this earth.

Our Lord Jesus has defeated the enemy of our souls at the cross. While we have yet to see the fullness of this victory play out in time, we will. The ultimate defeat of Satan is as sure as the Word of God. For our enemy’s time is short.

Are we showing discernment and good judgment by recognizing who the real enemy is and where we are being attacked spiritually? What is history really about, and what battle is really going on in God’s world? Is eternal judgment real? What, then, should our approach and overarching strategy to life be? How, then, should we live? If we are members of the “Kingdom of God”, just what should we be focusing on? Are we looking up, or down–and getting that all wrong? How would Jesus rate our sense of apprehending the reality of things? Are we wiser then He? Wiser than all of the holy prophets of old?

This section may be the most difficult for Conspiratist oriented Christians to accept, but may well be the explanation to the perverted attraction of Conspiracy Theories in the church, and why we think we need them.

Where this gets nasty is where it becomes more than just a temporary meditation to relieve our consciences, and gets blown into a full-tilt philosophy. And this is what Conspiracy Theory is. “They” are pulling back-room strings with an unseen hand that makes it futile to even try. Why, we might even play into “their” hands, “they” are so clever. The only thing to do is to hunker down and protect our friends and family against the inevitable siege, or by laying so low that nobody takes notice of us, retreating further from being salt and light. None of the options coming from this fatalistic view are very good, frankly, and when the results in our society get inevitably worse, we go right back to blaming “them” instead of ourselves. And so it goes.

James 4:17 – Anyone, then, who knows the good he ought to do and doesn’t do it, sins.

Spiritual Wimps

Our spiritual enemy is winning a terrific battle against us if he can short circuit our zeal and eliminate our influence via the fatalism of Conspiracy Theories. Rather that being salt and light in spreading the Gospel of peace, we hide our lamps under a table so that “they” will not notice us.

The utility of Conspiracy Theory thus comes into focus. It shifts blame. It is a sophisticated excuse machine. This is how Hitler used it; this is how Nero used it; this is how we are using it. Has there even been a Conspiracy Theory concocted short of this purpose?

What could be a more obvious ploy by our spiritual enemy to thwart the life of Christ in us?

The tragic thing is that this attack comes not from without, but principally from within the church. And our itching ears and guilty consciences cannot seem to get enough of it.

Have we fallen so far from being “conquerors in Christ” that we need a systematic philosophy of paranoia? Is the life of Christ in us content to lay curled in fetal position in the corner reading another Conspiracy Theory book? Are we content to be losers quaking in the fear of men–in direct disobedience to our Lord?

Slandering Our Enemies
Leviticus 19:16 (NIV) “Do not go about spreading slander among your people. Do not do anything that endangers your neighbor’s life. I am the Lord.”

Exodus 23:1 (NIV) “Do not spread false reports. Do not help a wicked man by being a malicious witness.”

Instead of realizing the pragmatic, even convicting reasons why we have failed in so many ways to effect our culture, we accuse our enemies of cheating via conspiracy. The motive for this was discussed previously.

Fruit Inspection

Proverbs 18:8 – The words of a gossip are like choice morsels; they go down to a man’s inmost parts.

The Scripture describes a “gossip” as one who connives and dreams up a “twist” that is compelling and winsome. There is a perverted sweetness to this deception that is the principal lure of committing this sin. “Yeah, THAT is it! So and so is doing such and such.”

The more divorced from the truth this is, the more outlandish the slander, the better…

Matthew 15:19 - “For out of the heart come evil thoughts… false testimony, slander. These are what make a man ‘unclean’….”

Proverbs 18:8 – The words of a talebearer are like tasty trifles….

Like all sin, slander and gossip can be fun in the moment. But like all sin, there is a price to be paid later. The price here is in defamation of character to the real-life people and organizations, and in self-delusion and inability to discern the truth for those who continue in it.

1 Peter 2:1 – Therefore, rid yourselves of all malice and all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and slander of every kind.

Ephesians 4:31 – Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice.

We are told in some detail by God how to think and deal with rulers and government in Scripture. And consider that these Scriptures were written during a time when leaders and government were much worse than now.

Titus 3:1-2 - Remind the people to be subject to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready to do whatever is good, to SLANDER no one, to be peaceable and considerate, and to show true humility towards all men.

Do the wild accusations and projected phobias and fears of Conspiracy Theories pass this test? You be the judge.

The bottom line is that “Christian” Conspiracy Theories make about as much sense as “Christian Racism.”

Both are forbidden in Scripture.

1 Peter 2:17 – Show proper respect to everyone: Love the brotherhood of believers, fear God, honour the king.

Making Idols of Mere Men

Conspiracy Theory practitioners are miles away from “honoring the king,” or showing “proper respect” for leaders. To fill this natural void, there is a backlash into worship and fear of imaginary leaders instead.

The Gods Must Be Crazy…

It used to be that leaders promoted a facade of divinity and idolatry–erecting idols of themselves, demanding worship, and the like–and they still do so in some parts of the world. Though this is rare in public life in the US, the reflex seems so ingrained in us that we must create make-believe “conspiracy leaders” to worship when social conventions change and we see our public or elected leaders so obviously groping. “It must be an act to lull us. They really are in control. They really are gods!”

Nowadays, “we the people” prop up the idols. Certain carnal instincts die hard. But these Conspiracy Theory idols, like all others, will be toppled and shattered.

At a local and experiential level, we all know the problems of position and responsibility. The higher the position, the more impossible to process all the information, to take everything into account, to please everyone, etc. That is why it is nice to dream of being in charge, but harder to sleep when you are.

There is hardly a profession where human limitations are more stark than in leadership. This is why “manager jokes” strike a chord in us. These barbs point out the hopeless situation most managers are in, diffusing with humor our exasperation at their inability to “get it,” listen, solve ALL the problems, or whatever.

Our ability to laugh at these jokes demonstrates that–at least intuitively–we know the “problem” that our leaders face with their limitations as humans. This being the case, we are enjoined to pray for them and show them proper respect for the responsibilities they bear.

But for the Conspiratist, there is a different set of rules for world leaders. These are a different breed, somehow. To listen to the Conspiracy buffs, it becomes clear that you must believe that certain people or groups possess superhuman powers of intelligence, time management, persuasion, influence, stealth, etc. These “puppeteers” have powers that would make Superman look like a weakling.

It might be countered that Conspiracy Theory believers are not gripped with the fear of real or imaginary human leaders, but demonic spirits–even Satan–who animate these people. But this is even worse! Instead of fearing God or honoring the temporal king, we now find ourselves emotionally and spiritually prostrated before demons and Satan, trembling for them!

Isaiah 57:11 - “And of whom have you been afraid, or feared, that you have lied and not remembered Me, nor taken it to your heart? Is it not because I have held My peace from of old that you do not fear Me?”

Shall we dance around the golden calf of Conspiracy Theory and its constructors, or attend to the Word of the Lord and His Kingdom among us?

Matthew 6:33 – But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness…

Resonating to Conspiracy Theories is a clear indication that we are carnally minded, and not even to the “real world” (which would be bad enough) but to an idolatrous fantasy world of delusion and paranoia.

Luke 17:20-21 - “The kingdom of God is not coming with signs to be observed; nor will they say, ‘Look, here it is!’ or, ‘There it is!’ For behold, the kingdom of God is in your midst.”

Philippians 3:20 – For our citizenship is in heaven…

Brothers and sisters, let us repent.

Let us turn our minds from these dark meditations to the Word of God, and begin now to work and pray in accordance with His eternal and permanent kingdom.

Which kingdom do our private thoughts and feelings reveal we are vested in?

Ideas Have Consequences

There were pervasive rumors running rampant before WW2 concerning the Jews. One of note was that Jews were purportedly using Gentile blood in the making of the Passover Matzos. These and other rumors were so outlandish and ignorant that they did not seem worthy of serious response. They were so ridiculous and divorced from reality that no one bothered to dispute them. So they became “common knowledge.”

2 Peter 2:12 – But these… speak evil of the things they do not understand, and will utterly perish in their own corruption.

We often wonder what went so wrong in Germany that an entire segment of the population (many professing to be Christians!) would willfully and enthusiastically participate in the day to day executions of the holocaust.

We are not going to suggest here that the ONLY reason this happened were the rumors and slander running rampant in Germany unchecked for decades beforehand, but certainly these were a major factor in creating the climate that would allow, and even justify, the mayhem and shame that resulted.

We, of course, are superior to the Germans, and immune to the effects of outrageous stories and lies coursing through our minds unchallenged.

The one thing we learn from history, it appears, is that we can never learn from history.

Credulity and Witness

Proverbs 14:15 - A simple man believes anything, but a prudent man gives thought to his steps.

1 Thessalonians 5:21 - Test everything. Hold on to the good.

A casual survey of rumors coursing through the Christian community is not encouraging evidence that we are “testing all things.”

From, Acts 17-11: Christians & Conspiracy Theories – A CALL TO REPENTANCE

Wowee zowee, who’da thunk it could go so well? I was more worried than usual and I had this profound dread that — I dunno — somehow disapproval and dislike and even hatred of me would reign overall. Worse, that all those shrinks would find my poetry either cold and incredible (but who are they to say?) or somehow incomprehensible at least in part….This is not just self-loathing baring its usual fangs, but my deep fear that a repeat of my encounter with Dr Z in Machester Hospital in October would occur, writ large, or with so many others over these past 35 years. Truth is, I am terribly frightened of most doctors, of all sorts, and this despite the fact that I am all too aware, intimately so, of how human, how terribly flawed they can be and how despicably they can sometimes behave. Even so I am aware that I “give” them — give most people — way too much power over me (I have never understood that “give” but it must be true, though it feels like they take it, forcibly), power to dominate and judge and make me feel like shit. Moreover, I am so afraid of them and their power, that I become completely paranoid about — well, any doctor, really any health care professional, from technician to nurse to doctor, I need to see these days! and my mind conjures up scenarios about how they intend to harm me, complete with delusions and hallucinations that corroborate every such feeling.

Just this past week, for instance, when my migraine, along with vomiting up what looked like coffee grounds, put me at the emergency room of Machester Hospital again, paranoia completely took over. I still believe that they knew everything I felt and perceived, indeed were doing precisely what I “knew” they were doing …. Why I even call it paranoia I do not know, when I believe it was real. Why? Because, because, because…I have to hope and pray it was paranoia. Otherwise life would be unbearable…unbearable! I would at this point much rather be told, reassured, that nothing happened there, at the ER, and that it was “only” my paranoia, than to find out that indeed I was right all along! No, I hope to god I was wrong! And if I need to be labeled paranoid in order to be wrong, then fine, so be it. Better than to be right and find out that what I was so terrified by really was happening there all along…

But where was I? I was speaking of Wednesday night’s reading. I started out — well, the problem began — I was fine up until that point mind you! — when we entered the building because unlike the hotel, it was vast and echoing which produced an immediate physical disorientation on my part, I felt off balance and dizzied, as if under attack and anxious…I wanted to get out from under those echoes and that vastness…So I was scared simply upon entering the building and wanted to get away from it…This did not abate, and being scared almost to muteness beforehand, it only got worse, esp when Mary left me alone in a big room just off the hall where the reception was taking place. I felt then as if I were going to disappear, to implode, to die, to be killed, if she didn’t come back quickly…I didn’t know how to escape and I knew that I would have to, that I would not survive otherwise and immediately. I slunk to the wall near the door, carrying all my things, my coat and bag and my poetry. Adrenalin shot into my chest and poured down my arms and legs, preparing me for flight, when suddenly Mary returned.

I think she realized what a state I was in then, and felt bad. Which only made me feel worse, and I couldn’t talk for a few minutes. But I made myself pull myself together and I did calm down, and made it clear that to enter the room where the reading would take plaee once full would be much harder than to do so when it was still in the process of filling. So we went in, Mary going first and fending people off (so I felt) and when I finally had a chair beneath me, I could breathe again. Just knowing I could keep my head down and stop anyone from talking to me, even if they recognized me allowed me to relax, which was what I needed.

In this room, which had some sort of insulation that baffled the echo in the halls and open space downstairs, the disorientation passed almost at once, and the adrenalin seeped away, until it was only at the level of keeping me alert, not so much alarmed and ready to flee. I no longer felt dizzied or on the verge of hyperventilation or even, as I had, such imbalance as to the possiblity of falling. It was weird to the max but as soon as I left that room after the event was over, I had trouble immediately, having to negotiate the space with great care, using the banister to take the stairs and even so, feeling my feet and legs uncertainly take the steps downward and feeling the alarmed feeling build up and up the longer we remained. I felt even so that I could not hear properly, though all had left and there were scarcely more than 5 or 6 of us left in the building. I was so glad when we finally got outside I barely registered that noisiness by comparison!

But I am ahead of myself! First the “event” took place.

Barbara from the Foundation that sponsors and indeed is the originator of these humanism and medicine events did a brief introduction about the Foundation itself, then my publisher got up in her striking bright red coat, and spoke, wildly enthusiastic, about my book. In bombastic terms she praised me endlessly, until I cringed and felt no one, least of J herself could possibly believe such drivel….. I can only hope she tones it down tonight as it was way over the top…upsetting me because I felt certain she was lying to herself and making everyone laugh at me as well. Finally, she was through and gave me the signal to do my thing. Luckily I had more than cut my teeth on public speaking with our book tour for Divided Minds, so I was fine, once I got started. Of course beginning with, How to Read a Poem: Beginner’s Manual, and a few words of explanation, put most people at ease. So you better believe I start with that almost without fail. What else? And after that my spiel and that poem, I had them…as they say — in my hand. But really, they had me! You see, I was no longer terrified, nor intimidated. Instead I was having fun and wanted only to please.

The rest of the reading went swimmingly, with Mary providing a short intro to each chronological section of the book, and me reading about 3 poems from each, That way, I could let her do some of the organizing of the reading and taking some of the pressure off me, and it eased my tension a bit, even though I guess I could have done it myself, seeing as I had done so at Mystic (though I admit, there I had also started weeping near the end, thinking about Joe as I read a poem about him. In fact, it was probably my crying during that poem there that led Marjorie to suggest I stop at the so-called forgiveness poem, rather than continue through till four o’clock as I was scheduled to.)

In fact, I do not mind crying, it is mostly others who seek to save me from my own tears who mind…They are the ones who cannot take it, who think they have to save me from embarrassing myself, them, and the world. when in fact I don’t mind crying in public, any more than I could care less where I sleep! (I have slept in some pretty weird places, including right in the middle of a labyrinth in a public garden….Could simply not walk a foot farther but collapsed into a heap and slept for a couple of hours, oblivious to the fact of people staring or otherwise wondering what I was doing there, and my family having in disgust moved on…) But at the Academy, I was prevented from crying or at least it never became an issue which at moment, is a source of relief though I do not believe it would ever truly have proved a problem to me.

The following night, I was less articulate, possibly more tired, though I hadn’t felt so, just more tongue-tied, and less quick to think or respond…Nevertheless , the audience was very kind and laughed right on cue, which is more than I can say for the shrinks, kind though they were. and which this audience was not made of particularly. They even responded better, in terms of audible laughter to In Memoriam Memoriae. Laughing at the ending, and esp at the pauses where laughter was most welcome.

Oh, I am such a ham…But in truth this is only on stage, and nowhere else. And only in terms of the truth, not as a true actor, which I cannot be for beans…I dunno how to “act act” and wouldn’t want to. What I think I like to do is be myself, but be a goofy me, or a funny me, which others call, Play acting, but is really just being goofy, and me too. Can I not be goofy sometimes, or might i not achieve that state of innocence where one can play and be irresponsible occasionally? Why must one be staid and unimaginative and awkward and nothing always…

Well, I fear I must stop here, finished or no, as my face is coming off and I simply cannot stay awake longer. I have to go to bed because I am fading and losing touch with whatever i am writing.. When the fingers threaten to fall asleep on the keyboard and the keyboard becomes invisible because you are closing your eyes against your will, you know it’s time to sleep…And so I will, myself, take this body off to bed. Sleep well and good night.
