Parfum adalah campuran minyak esensial dan senyawa aroma (aroma compound), fiksatif, dan pelarut yang digunakan untuk memberikan bau wangi untuk tubuh manusia, obyek, atau ruangan. Jumlah dan tipe pelarut yang bercampur dengan minyak wangi menentukan jenis parfum tersebut apakah parfum tersebut dianggap sebagai : Pure parfum, SOIE de Perfume, Eau de parfum, Eau de toilette, Eau de Cologne, After Shave, Eau Fraiche

- Pure Perfume sendiri sebenarnya adalah sebuah extract wewangian dengan konsentrasi antara 15%-30% berupa minyak fragrance (campuran lainnya bisa berupa air atau alkohol) dan dapat bertahan lebih dari 6 jam jika dipakai. Beberapa merek menawarkan produknya dengan jenis ini, tapi biasanya sangat langka dan mahal. Lihat juga Parfum Eau dan Original Eau.

-SOIE de Perfume adalah jenis yang tidak biasa beredar di pasaran komersial sama seperti pure perfume, dengan konsentrasi 15%-18% minyak perfume, dapat bertahan kurang lebih 3-6 jam jika digunakan.

-Eau de Perfume (Parfume Eau) adalah jenis yang sedikit umum di pasaran dengan konsentrasi minyak antara 8%-15% dan bertahan kurang lebih 3-5 jam jika dipakai, harganya sedikit lebih mahal dari pada concentrated fragrance, tergantung dari merk dan jenisnya.

-Eau de Toilette adalah jenis yang sangat umum di pasaran industri wewangian, konsentrasi minyak perfume yang dikandung kurang lebih antara 4%-10% dan bertahan antara 3-4 jam jika digunakan. Jenis ini biasanya jenis terkuat yang disediakan untuk parfume pria.

-Eau de Cologne adalah jenis dengan konsentrasi minyak 2%-5% dan dapat bertahan sampai dengan 3 jam. Jenis ini dulu sempat sangat populer, tapi saat ini sudah tidak sebanyak dulu. Umumnya untuk perfume wanita, masih sedikit umum dijumpai untuk perfume pria.

-After Shave (A/S) adalah jenis dengan campuran dengan konsentrasi minyak 3% atau kurang dan dapat bertahan kurang lebih 2-3 jam dan cukup umum dijumpai pada berbagai merk perfume. Biasanya pada after shave mengandung balm atau aloe (lidah buaya) yang digunakan untuk menenangkan pori-pori setelah bercukur bagi para pria. Kandungan alkoholnya juga berfungsi untuk menutup kembali pori-pori.

-Eau Fraiche adalah jenis yang tidak umum untuk industri besar dengan campuran kurang dari 3% dan bertahan hanya sekitar 1 jam saja. Biasa pula disebut dengan nama Perfume Mist atau Splash.

Sementara istilah ‘Eau de’ (Parfume Eau) yang digunakan untuk beberapa istilah diatas dalam Bahasa Inggris berarti ‘water of’. Selain itu juga sering dijumpai tulisan ‘pour homme’ (Bahasa Perancis) yang berarti ‘untuk pria’ atau dalam Bahasa Inggris berarti ‘for men’ sedangkan lawannya adalah ‘pour femme’ atau ‘untuk wanita’.

Bwakakakak….seumur-umur baru kali ini dah beli yang namanya Eau de Toilete ato Eau de Parfume….dari jaman ABG ampe sekarang (jaman apa ya??????) sehari-hari ya merasa cukup wangi hanya dengan seciprat 2 ciprat splash cologne…ehehehe kecuali kalo aer di rumah lagi ngadat ya bisa abis setengah botol kali ya.

Parfume….yang terlintas di kepala pertama kali siy…..berat (berat dikantong maksutnye )….kalo jaman ABG memang ga mampu beli kalo jaman ABG part 2 sekarang…halah..kekekeke….merasa bukan prioritas jadi mending dialokasikan untuk hal lain.

Biasanya kalo ada acara special seperti kondangan, sejak dulu si aku selalu minta parfume-nya emak dengan atau tanpa konfirmasi terlebih dahulu (seringnya sih ga bilang-bilang…pssstttt).

Tapi berhubung rasio kesadaran diri sedang meningkat (untuk tidak ngembatin parfume emak terus) plus tu varian parfume lagi diskon (sebenernya ada seorang temennya si aku a.k.a. Teeka yang berbaik hati untuk melepas parfume tersebut dengan hanya setengah harga…horeyyyyyy), akhirnya si aku memantapkan hati untuk membelinya.

Jadi inti utamanya Amethyst Fatale menjadi pilhan pertamaku karena tergiur diskon…hahaha CEWE DISKON BANGET dah. Secara si aku kan ga ngerti parfume yang bagus tu yang kek gimana, ya jadinya pertimbangannya hanya sekadar wanginya lumayan cuco plus diskonnya itu loh XD.

Hmmm…..tapi tetep ach buat sehari-hari mah cukup dengan cologne kebangsaan si aku…SHOWER 2 SHOWER biru….kekeke selain sayang ntar cepet abis plus terlalu berat juga wanginya, so dipakenya occasional sajah kalo ada acara special.

Ngomong-ngomong soal parfume…jadi ke inget ama film yang nyeritain tentang pembuat parfume yang psycho.
Film ntu judulnya “The Parfume: The Story of A Murderer“. Bercerita tentang seseorang bernama Jean-Baptiste Grenouille di abad 18 yang terobsesi membuat sebuah parfume yang dibuat dari pheromone perawan. Dia harus membunuh 25 gadis perawan untuk mendapatkan ekstrak wangi yang sempurna dengan metoda maserasi dan enflurage…

wew ada yah orang psycho kek gitu…

Anak-anak yang berlatarbelakang pendidikan Farmasi pasti tau dunk teknik ekstraksi minyak atsiri seperti maserasi n enflurage. Yup si korban seluruh tubuhnya di baluri dengan vaselin lalu di bulen (halah….bahasa Indonya apanya…hmmm di lilit deh!!! sepertinya) dengan kain, lalu vaselin tersebut di kerok dan di ekstraksi sehingga didapatkan minyak atsiri pheromon. Sangat sadistik….serem..

HARAJUKU LOVERS PARFUME – IT GETS SCRAMBLED

I have to say that the packaging of this product has an overly done cuteness about it or dare I say, “A Fatal Attraction to Cuteness”. That in itself is probably enough to make Gwen Stefani fans swoon and purchase while in a  daze of harajuku lovers bliss. You are paying for the package here not the quality of the of the fragrance.

But, it’s a marketing move anyway for the momentum of the product roll out surrounding the all things harajuku line that is being demanded and sold. The fragrance is a fruity floral jumble and is heavily made up of alchohol~so there’s not much bang for your buck and its going to be a little harsh for sensitive skin types as well. Maybe it will do well for a younger consumer segment.

試了Rose Tea Latte﹐ 一沖﹐ 有好多泡沫﹐ good ar~! 沖唔到泡沫的instant coffee, 我會好失望~! 確是聞到小小Rose 清香﹐ 但一D咖啡味都無~! 飲落似飲奶水lor~!

只是一滴的Miss Dior Cherrie﹐已令我整個下午都心不在玄﹐不時望著那晃動的銀白ribbon 。 這感覺很美妙~!

剛好作天塗了指甲油﹐這個pink 是不是很match 粉紅絲帶 ? (我塗的是Revlon no. 911 Pink Chiffon, 2 layers painted)

One my main reasons for opening Natural E GREEN was to help consumers make safe decisions – easily. The research went into the products to ensure that what was available for sale was honestly SAFE for the consumer and chemical-free.

What did I find today?

I finally made a visit to our new Mall out here and it was a great walk through. I came across a store claiming their products were “natural” and “safe”. Always on the lookout I flipped the bottle over to read the ingredients (as I always do.)

The first item I looked at was a body lotion. Great packaging, nice neutral colors giving the image of “natural” and making me feel calm as I picked it up. The advertisements on the display claimed some form of bio-degradable and plant-derived ingredients (yada yada).

Alongside the “natural” ingredients such as shea butter, apricot kernel oil and so forth were the  following:

• 2 different PARABENS
• 2 different variations of SODIUM LAURYL SULFATE (SLS)
• Disodium EDTA
• Fragrance(Parfum)

That really got my goat. I see many NATURAL products out there and usually their only fault is some Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS) or other variation of, and maybe some fragrance. To see this product today which has some other very nasty chemicals and of all things is located in a store that claims to be all natural and safe – REALLY upset me!

Why Do I get so upset?

I would say it’s different if people are shopping in their local stores or other “perfume-y” type stores where it’s obvious they don’t much care (know) about chemicals and are only concerned with nice smelly stuff.

Here, I see people: Moms, Dads, Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles etc. – who really care about the products and really WANT to find the safest alternatives for themselves & children. These people care about what touches their skin and have made the 1st step in safe choices: looking for alternatives.

So it really pees me off when I see a place making those claims, luring people in and talking out their rear ends about why there products are so great and safe (when, if someone knew what to look for and read the ingredients, it’s obvious these products are NOT your safe choice.)

What store was It?

Anyone with a bit of common sense knows there is no WAY I can mention the store or even describe it in any fashion lest I be charged with Libel! I was safe enough to say what I did only because there are quite a few stores in that mall that have “Natural” products to some extent and therefore – it could be any one of them.

How to Avoid be Scammed

Go ahead and shop these stores and just keep a few things in mind – WHAT TO LOOK FOR!

Forget the advertisments and forget what the sales clerks tell  you (they only know what they’ve been fed.) Forget the brand names, media and look & feel of the store. Forget how many other people you see buying the product.

READ THE LABELS…..READ, READ, READ!

Take a pen with you, or if you have memo capabilities on your phone – write down the names of some of the ingredients. Ingredients like Essentials oils will have long weird looking names but most will have the common name in brackets:

eg. Butyrospermum parkii (Shea Butter)

For the other ingredients look for:

• SODIUM (anything) SULFATE (SLS)
• anything PARABEN
• anything EDTA
• FRAGRANCE (if it’s essential oil only you are ok)
• PROPYLYNE GLYCOL
• SYNTHETIC COLORS (FD&C)

And pay attention to these that the EWG warns to specifically avoid – especially with children as their absorption rates are greater than adults:

• 2-BROMO-2-NITROPROPANE-1,3 DIOL
• BHA
• BORIC ACID AND SODIUM BORATE
  
• DIBUTYL PHTHALATE & TOLUENE
  
• DMDM HYDANTOIN
• OXYBENZONE
• TRICLOSAN
• FORMALDEHYDE

What to do if you find a dishonest store?

Not much you can do! If you found a store claiming all products were “Organic” or completley free of harmful chemicals – and they aren’t: you could report them to the Better Business Bureau and they possibly could get in trouble for false and misleading advertising.

In truth – it is up to us to research our products and help educate our younger generation so they can make safer choices. Tell you friends & family and share the knowledge with the younger groups.We can’t believe commercial companies and anyone selling for profit could have hidden agendas.

Natural E GREEN’s concept is to offer a product mix where you can feel safe with your purchases. While some of our products (primarily a few soaps) do have Synthetic Fragrance – it states it in very large text on the product description.  Why do we carry these products: a few customers have specifically requested them and while they know synthetic fragrance is not the best for them, they feel they are at least making a safe choice by avoiding the other harmful chemicals.

Fair Enough.

So I carry a few products with synthetic fragrance and will put it in large text so the consumer is very well aware of what they are looking at. I do not, will not, carry ANYTHING with the other harmful chemicals (Sulfates, parabens, propylene glycol etc. etc.).

Don’t take my word for it!

Just because I say the products are safe doesn’t mean you should automatically believe me! Learn those harmful chemical names and read the ingredients – make sure for yourself and your own peace of mind.

Yes, when you are done you will see you can trust my store and my word but I have a goal in mind and it’s not to make lots of money running my business! My goal is to help educate the public and help expose the corporations. Health & Wellness of our future generations is so important and it starts with us – it starts now.

Too many people I know have suffered from many diseases (neurological, cancer) and many I believe are linked to choices that weren’t available 20 or 30 years ago. They are available now and a healthier future is more likely if we can make safer and simpler choices!

Og det er altså ikke duften af sangria eller paella Men parfumer fra den spanske designer Roberto Verino.
Den grønne, Roberto Verino VV er min “sommerduft” med en snert af citrus, og den lyserøde, Roberto Verino VV Rose er så min “vinterduft” med en dejlig sødme uden det bliver kvalmende. Desværre er jeg pt. løbet tør for begge så jeg skal på jagt! Jeg frygter dog det ikke er til at få fat på Rose udegaven, for det var vist en “limited edition”. Jeg har ledt efter den online på europæiske websites, men indtil videre, har jeg kun fundet den på sider der ikke ser helt troværdige ud.

Absolute happy to have this Biotherm Eau d’Energie, it awakens me in these rainy days~~!

超愛這個gift box, 那個飛鷹的圖案是出自法國著名插畫師 Mademoiselle Bulle 的手筆﹐ 名為「Magic Bird」的靈巧飛鳥圖案。 當我收到gift box時﹐ 本來心情是麻麻的﹐ 但這個清新閃亮的禮盒喚發起一種愉悅的感覺。 I felt happy~!
