It’s been a weird couple of days with disappointing news; Oprah Winfrey announced the retirement of her show, Paris Hilton’s mom announced that Paris once upon a time had plans for breast enlargements, and pretty much everyone seemed to agree that The Twilight Saga: New Moon sucked. And if that wasn’t enough, it has come to my attention that pizza isn’t considered a low carb meal.

It’s hard to keep track of what to eat, but it seems bread is out of the question. Johnny the Intern has taken it upon himself to add it to his list of what’s forbidden to eat here at the office; which means bread is right up there with fruit and vegetables, because as you know; he is convinced those two are what makes you overweight.

If you think that’s weird you should be aware that he also is convinced that the new John Cusack movie 2012 is in fact a Documentary sent to us from the future.

He is currently putting together a boat, purchased at IKEA.

LA cops have issued a final warning to Paris Hilton and her beau Doug Reinhardt after repeated complaints of disturbance and noise, it has emerged.

Neighbours have often called the LAPD, the LA City Attorney and the LA City Council over the pair’s wild nigh party habits.

Residents are so fed up with the duo that one even called Paris “a monster”.

According to TMZ.com, police have often been called to the couple’s home over complaints of disruption and have now threatened Paris and Doug with “tickets and arrests,” reports the Sun.

I think the end of the world is near.  It makes me sad, but I think this is it.  What else could explain the absolute shit that is on TV these days.  Celebrity Rehab, Sex Rehab, Paris Hilton’s BFF, Tila Tequila and fuck, even P. Diddy, or whatever the fuck his name is, has a “reality” show.  It’s all friggin crap.  Hogan know’s best, the Hills, people with 8 kids, 16 kids, 32 kids, geez.  What makes this Tv?  It’s like being at the circus watching the freak-shows. 

Right now on showcase there are 2 men in thongs tied together by a harness in the 69 position and they are pounding the shit out of each other’s ass cheeks.  UGH.  Then the guy drools on the other guys leg.  UGH.  It’s as bad as watching poker on TV.  (turned off after 20 more seconds).

It’s no wonder I just stick to sports, Grey’s Anatomy, Ugly Betty, and a ton of cooking shoes and news.

Please, someone come up with something original!!!

Paris and Doug were defiant when asked about the cops arriving at their house on a “drunk neighbors arguing” call. Paris’ neighbor is equally insistent that it was Paris and Doug. Unless of course it was someone who looks exactly like Paris at her house, arguing with her boyfriend. Could be.

At 12:40am, police pulled Alexandra Forbes Kerry (36) over for driving erratically. How do i know you shoulda voted for Kerry like i did in 2004? His daughter wasn’t smart enough to pass a field sobriety test but she was smart enough to refuse a breathalyzer. How many times do i gotta tell you guys? ALWAYS refuse a breathalyzer. Alex (can i call her ‘Alex’?) was taken downtown and given the regulation blood alcohol exam and tested 0.06%. The entire US considers 0.08% to be over the top so, while the law could still go after her for driving erratically because of the booze, the District Attorney has let it be known he’ll pass on this one. Maybe if Stephanie Pratt wore see through dresses at French film festivals she coulda got away with her slight infraction.

i love a parade. Especially one where Santa shows up. And really especially when he drives drunk in the parade. A 51-year-old Santa in Cambridge, Ontario was pulled over for drunk driving. As Santa. In a parade. And you thought Canadians didn’t party.

Gerald Gibson (51) is a cop in Ohio. C’mon, any state that sounds like a yawn is bound to be boring as hall. Trying to shake things up a little, Gerry was pulled over after crossing the middle line. He refused a field breathalyzer as well (see, if a cop knows to refuse the test in the field, so should you) and was taken to the pokey. So what? So he was an off duty State Trooper who was honored as Trooper of the Year in 2002 and was honored by Mothers Against Drunk Drivers in 1997 for his madd skills of arresting the most drunk drivers in Lima (Ohio, not the bean) that year. Saving the best for last… This 22-year-old Russian guy doesn’t take to well to vodka—or marriage. After drinking three fifths of Moscow Holy Water, Alexei Roskov stood up, walked over to his fifth floor window, opened it and jumped out. Then survived. So he walked back to his apartment, where his wife had called an ambulance and started yelling at him for his action. She was nagging so much that he went and did it again. And survived again, with nothing more than a couple scratches. He says he’s gone totally T, but i’m guessing the wife will push him to drink again in no time.

Barbie is not hot. Believe me, she’s just another Paris Hilton hosting all those white trash parties. If you love melting plastic materials, then you must love killing Barbie (and hopefully Hilton). Don’t mind Ken, he’s a no good guy. If you have been playing Barbie dolls when you were younger, then this too along with the other normal little girls, is your revenge. And if you are one of those brothers of the little girls who used to pull off Barbie’s arms and legs, cut her blonde hair and burned her body in the camp fire, then you deserve a little reward.

It was reported that Barbie dolls have lead content that can cause brain damage. As Jay Leno said if your little girl is playing Barbie dolls, then most probably your kid is going to end up like Barbie. Now I won’t make Jay Leno shut up, I must admit, he has a point. While old folks said that farm bells are said to rekindle the spirit of old times, I am actually protesting against old times. Bringing back old times with Barbie dolls? Well, they just rekindle stupid memories when you once wished you were pretty like Barbie but you can’t be pretty because you have pimples and you’re not skinny.

So why get your revenge against Barbie? Here are your motivations:

1. Barbie influences the little girls with these wrong ideas about being a woman. 1. That women are only considered beautiful when they’re skinny, blonde, long haired and long legged; 2. That beautiful women must wear skirts and fabulous dresses to be loved by boys. Indeed, Barbie set the standard of what is a beautiful woman.

2. Barbie pushes the girls to reach their puberty at an early stage – wear make up and get more boys. Barbie steals their childhood experiences. Daddy’s little girl is off wondering in the streets for boys. And when the dinner bell rings, she won’t be eating dinner because she’s on a diet.

3. Barbie influences the girls that the girls are just created by God to put on some make up, some nice gowns, skimpy skirts, halter tops and low neckline dresses everyday of their lives and their worries only include cosmetics and hair salons. And the worries about the world of politics and economics? Barbie should have clearly pointed out to leave it to the male species.

If you’re still not completely motivated, then you need some bells to awaken your senses. And if you’re wondering if I ever played with Barbie way back when I was a sweet little girl, the answer is yes, every girl does. Every girl is Barbie’s victim so don’t ask me why I am so pissed off with Barbie.

I just happened to pop in this new store on Robertson. I’m so glad I did. What lured me in were the amazing vintage/antique sewing machines lining the the front window from ground to ceiling.

What kept me at the English store (for about 1/2 an hour) were the amazing clothes—and the design of the store.  Allsaints was so inspiring.  I love the attention to detail on all the pieces. The clothes are so artistic (like some of the better designs on Project Runway).  I wanted all of the dresses. They aren’t nearly as expensive as some of the clothes on Robertson.

For $200, you can get a beautiful Allsaints dress that looks like it costs $1200—seriously.

Of course All Saints is European..you can tell the second you set foot in the shop. The heavy use of industrial design (like the sewing machines, gears and old hanging lights) compliments the new take on industrial-aged clothing.

I’m hoping people will take to the store. It’s right near Kitson, Chanel, Ralph Lauren, and the infamous Ivy restaurant.  Allsaints is a great edgy addition to the street where Paris Hilton, and other (psedo) celebrities spend time posing for paparazzi while shopping. For some reason I can’t really see Paris shopping at Allsaints. I can see Karen O there, though—for sure.

We all know celebrities get to try the latest and greatest gadgets before the rest of us do. The marketing companies thrive on their input. So I can just see Paris and Nicky and Nichole and Lindsay gathering to try the latest cosmetic facial boosting wonder. This week’s toy: The Lip-ft and Hold prototype. Well, the prototype apparently needs some work, because Paris is leaving the party one swollen heiress.

We recently told you that Paris‘ neighbors claimed police were called to Paris’ Hollywood Hills home after a fight with Doug the other day.  Now, the LAPD say they have no record of police being at Paris’ home.

“We have no knowledge of officers stopping by her or Doug’s last night or early this morning,” an LAPD spokesman tells E! News.

Still, Paris‘ sister and mom are having none of it.  Even if police weren’t called this time, Nicky says “this isn’t the first second third or fourth time that police have been called there; it’s not good.”

The fact that Nicky is airing her sister’s dirty laundry to the world is significant.  Nicky is the sister who doesn’t crave the spotlight, so her concern must be a genuine one for her to express it to the media.

Their mom, Kathy, echoes the sentiment and feared Paris wouldn’t show up for the Lupus LA Bag Hollywood Ladies Luncheon event she was supposed to be at.  “She was supposed to be here today so we’ll see.  It seems that every time she is hosting or launching something we have an issue like this.”

The family has expressed concerns that Doug is a user since the beginning of this courtship.

She is going down! In the polls, that is. Despite the recent worldwide release of her mostly fictional memoir titled, Going Rogue, Sarah Palin’s poll numbers are falling faster than Levi Johnston’s trousers. This Monday, a CNN/ Opinion Research Corporation poll revealed that more than 7 out of 10 Americans do not believe that the former ex-quitting governor of Alaska is qualified to be President of the United States. The poll was conducted between November 13th and 15th and the sampling error is plus or minus 3 percentage points. Consequently, if Palin would like to be optimistic, it is possible that only 68% percent believe that she is unfit for the position.

It appears that Sarah Palin has now become just the type of vacuous tabloid celebrity that she and John McCain once attempted to brand Barack Obama. She is wildly popular at book signings amongst a fan base that resembles the groupies that blindly follow the Jonas Brothers (that is a teen-aged boy-band for those not in the know) from town to town. Like the Jonas Brothers however, she is not  popular with any large segment of the population when they consider her (or them) as a potential political leader. It now seems that the Britney Spears/Paris Hilton comparisons from the presidential campaign have come back to roost in Palin’s backyard. What goes around, comes around.

Paris Hilton’s mom Kathy has said that her famous daughter had once almost gave into the temptation of getting breast implants.

However, Kathy confessed that she was really glad when Paris decided otherwise.

“At one point she was like ‘I wanna do this and that, I’m so flat!’ but then all of a sudden she was like ‘I love it. I don’t care. I love it’,” Fox News quoted Kathy as saying at the launch of Paris’s new all-in-one hair tool the Celebrity Styler and the Ultimate Brush at the Thompson Hotel in Beverly Hills on Tuesday night.

“I’m proud of that; I think that’s really nice,” she added.

However, she herself never got too excited at the thought of boosting her assets.

“I’m way too scared, I hate needles and I hate blood. I’m a really big fan of the show ‘Nip/Tuck’ so I see how it happens. I’m just too scared. I’m happy with the way I am,” said Kathy.

If a genie magically granted me three wishes, one of them would be to erase any knowledge in my brain of Miley Cyrus. I know way too much about this teeny popper than I should. The sad part is that I purposely avoid her, but, much like those stalker Jo Bros, she’s everywhere, spouting absurdities to anyone who will listen. This week, she invaded my realm again inciting a media frenzy when she told Q92 that she hated all things Twilight. So, why does this teeny popper hate the single thing that girls her age around the globe are drooling over 24 hours a day? Well, she claims that she doesn’t believe in it, leading people to think that Cyrus isn’t a fan of mythological creatures, but that can’t be true. She signed on to play a teen fairy in an upcoming film. I suspect there are other reasons behind her weekly outburst. Hmmm, could it be that her arch nemesis Thom Yorke, whom she threatened to destroy because he didn’t want to do a meet and greet with her, is on the New Moon soundtrack? Or could it be that New Moon is all any one can talk about this week and the trailer for Cyrus’s new movie Last Song has been virtually ignored? Who knows the real answer. Remember, this a girl who gave an interview in a locker room dressed like Pocahontas and said she doesn’t like pop music. And there was also that time she posted that picture of her and her little friends making slant eyes and being all derogatory towards Asians. And that other time she said she hated Twitter, which she uses all the time. Seeing a pattern? As Paris Hilton breathes a sigh of relief, Cyrus is turning into the media’s favorite new joke. There is too much going on behind the music for her to be taken seriously. Why can’t the music industry push the serious artists into the mainstream and leave the teeny poppers in the land of indie obscurity? It’s because intelligence is not so easily manipulated nor exploited, duh.

I just discovered this super-sweet, Swedish trio. Just one listen and I was hooked. Their sound is very nostalgic yet fresh and new. I love the fusion of 60s reverb, poppy beats, and funk. They released their self titled album earlier this year. You must check out the disco worthy “Animal” and the poppy track “Song for No One.” If you’re looking for something a little slower, check out “Faker.” This band is gaining a following in Europe and we are so lucky they will be touring the states in the spring. Don’t miss them on their small club tour. It’s sure to sell out. And you don’t want to miss their fabulous mustaches in person.
