On Saturday we visited Tattershall Castle in Lincolnshire, next to the castle there is an amazing church, it is recognised as one of the finest examples of English Perpendicular Architecture in the country, not only that, but it has one of the highest pulpits I have ever seen. 40 more words

St Alban in a lovely stained glass window in St Peter’s Church in Wisbech Church, Cambridgeshire (Called St Peters by the locals) A good one for the St Alban Series, now the grand total of three, St Alban is somewhat rarer than Saints’ Michael & George, so its always nice to come across one.
In All Saints Church in Thornham, Norfolk there remains part an amazing rood screen. The church has been greatly altered, but what remains of the screen, although it was greatly damaged in the 17th century, leaving only the dado with the faces scratched out on the figures, has not been over restored in recent years. 125 more words
