I have an overactive imagination and a penchant for post-apocalyptic scenarios. This means I think about zombies a lot. I used to muse that the little town where we lived in Kansas was an excellent place to ride out zombies because of the spring-fed creek north of town, pretty much NOTHING for miles around but cows and crops, and several warehouses in town owned by hoarders that were full of farm equipment suitable for decapitating the undead. 549 more words

Up at 5:30 this morning before anyone else, I took an early morning quiet walk around the meadows of Curry Camp. I watched the sun come up behind Half Dome (the iPhone doesn’t do it justice) and then happened to notice the moon hanging out above the granite wall behind our camp! 167 more words
When I think of the Rocky Mountains, the soaring, jagged peaks are what I picture.
We pulled in to our cozy cabin in the Coulter Bay region of the Grand Tetons a little late in the evening to do any exploring so when I woke up early the next morning, I took a walk around the area and discovered this view just yards from our cabin! 276 more words
