What does it all mean Kanye!!!

Kanye West continues to elude us, his website PAST.TELL.MUSEUM which is obviously gearing up to sell his Pastelle clothes range has a cryptic front page with this set of extremely vague clues on it. I havent a fucking clue what it means but hopefully you less retarted people could work a little out.
There are a few cheeky pics out with a few of him wearing some things with pastelle emblazoned on them but apparently the gay fish has since changed his clothing style and it will in the future be more clean cut.

Speaking of FASHION, this just ain’t Kanye’s year.  Kanye’s proposed line, Pastelle, was just recently given the boot, and will not be unveiled anytime soon… or if ever.

First Taylor, then the Lady Gaga tour shut down, and now this. In addition to that, he was given ZERO nominations for the American Music Awards.  Yikes, who knew how much one little outburst (though totally uncalled for) on a nationally televised awards show could come back as, as karma, and we know it must be hurtin’ him TENFOLD. Poor Yeezy… he needs to get it together like NOW.

Ever since the “Heartless” one interrupted teen queen Taylor Swift’s moment of VMA glory he’s really caught a bad one. First, his highly anticipated (if hard to imagine going off without a hitch) tour with Lady Gaga got canceled.

Then, after some erratic behavior had been reported here and there (and on, um… TMZ), Kanye skipped out on the BET Awards. The show, which was taped this past weekend, would’ve seemed like a logical place to find West, who was nominated for nine awards, but he was a no-show.

Now, in the wake of rumors that Yeezy has jetted off to India to find himself, dude’s clothing line has been discontinued. His Pastelle line will apparently never see the light of day. (Or, it’ll just haunt some dusty TJ Maxx racks.) Here’s hoping for happier days for the dude. Despite what you might think of his personality/public displays of speech-making, he’s still a much-needed voice out there in pop.

Yesterday Kanye had everyones hopes up by leaking pictures from the 2009 Pastelle Lookbook, and two hours later he released a statement to HighSnobiety confirming that Pastelle will never be released and he will be releasing a another line under his name. In my opinion this is a bad move, I personally will not wear a brand labeled Kanye West but that’s just me. But a few minutes ago I saw a post of complex showing the history of Pastelle. It was creative but I decided to make my own version and tell our viewers my opinion on the whole Pastelle evolution.

Pastelle had a nice subtle logo. It was really a love or hate thing because some people liked it and some hated it. But when he released the second logo, I felt like that one was more on the creative side. And that’s when there were rumors saying that Kanye changed the name from Pastelle to Past-Tell Museum, which is a better name in my opinion.

The next phase for Pastelle was when Kanye was spotted at the Dior fashion show in July 2008. This piece was ill to me especially how he accented the sleeves and the tip of the hood with grey leather.

About a month later Kanye released a four page spread for Pastelle in VMAN Magazine. This is when I really thought Pastelle would be releasing in the near future, but again I was wrong.

Around October of last year, when Kanye debuted the mullet, he also gave the public eye a recent piece from the Pastelle Collection. Again I was dumb hype when I saw this and I started putting money aside just to cop that jacket when it released lol. I can’t front though I still look on ebay from time to time to find this jacket.

Around November of last year about the time 808’s dropped, Kanye released the illest piece from the whole collection. During a press conference where he was seen wearing the jacket, he said that he had designed the jacket only three weeks ago. I would pay good money for this varsity jacket lol! He killed this pic with the Aquas btw.

Exactly a month after he released the second varsity, he leaked out two more pieces to the public eye. They were the Tiger jacket and the Pastelle logo crewneck. I wasn’t really a fan of the tiger joint , but the crewneck was classic. It could be worn by people of any age. Only if I could get my hands on some of my favorite Pastelle pieces. But overall these two design complimented the brand nicely especially the crewneck.

After those back to back Pastelle sightings, Kanye was last seen with a Pastelle varsity on at the March 2009 YSL fashion show.This was a nice simple jacket, but it definitely wasn’t  my favorite piece that Kanye has designed. But he did compliment it nicely with the classic YSL logo tee.

And lastly to end this post off Kanye released pictures from the look book yesterday, but quickly announced that Pastelle would never be releasing. I hope he changes his mind about this. I was looking forward to that Pastelle varsity and crewneck. But to those who haven’t seen the look book pictures here is one of them. Now who’s with me to start a “Bring back Pastelle” online Petition lol?

There is a god!

I have just heard the news that the above catastrophes from Kanye West’s Pastelle line will not be put into production. In fact the entire line is cancelled! Huzzah!

Damn, Kanye West’s Pastelle had just dropped a “look book,” of sorts, yesterday. It was was over before it started. Seems like the only rap cats left with a feasible—and purposefully misspelled—clothing line are Clipse with Play Cloths.

Nope, I’m not counting Roc-a-Wear or anything hawked by any other rappers with questionable at best taste in clothing.

Yesterday it was confirmed by HighSnobiety that the long-rumoured and highly-anticipated (before the Taylor Swift incident) Pastelle by Kanye West clothing line was never releasing.  However, they did say that Kanye West will be releasing a collection under his own name in the near future.

Kanye West’s highly anticipated line “Pastelle”  will not be released. Ever. Representatives for Kanye say it is a venture in which Kanye does not want to continue, but he will be releasing a line under his name in the near future.

I have to admit I’m a bit sad about this, the collection looks like it would have been pretty good, I probably would have bought a few pieces for everyday wear, but ok, heres to hoping the “Kanye West” line will be just as good, as I havent really been checking for Kanye style wise since his last album.

A vrai dire, tout le monde s’en fout un peu. Annoncée depuis des années, écartée à cause des collabs avec Nike et Louis Vuitton, la ligne de vêtements Pastelle créée par Kanye West serait bientôt commercialisée si l’on en croit les photos promo qui commence à tourner sur le net. Sauf que les modèles sont ceux portés par Kanye il y a des mois, que les prix (forcément astronomiques) n’ont pas encore été annoncés et qu’entre temps, Yeezy a eu quelques petits soucis d’image.

Reste que les fans inconditionnels vont recommencer à transpirer et à faire la queue trois jours avant la sortie officielle en boutique, dans l’espoir de se procurer une veste teddy dégueulasse. Et moi, je trouve ça bien triste.

UPDATE: un communiqué officiel vient d’annoncer que Pastelle ne verra jamais le jour, et que Kanye sortira éventuellement une ligne de vêtements plus tard, mais portant son nom. Merde, je ne pensais pas que mon avis comptait autant pour lui.

As soon as we got official pictures of the dopest brand you wanted to will never wear, we get word that kanYe has indeed cancelled the brand he had started called Pastelle. This comes as some sad news, but really it was a shock to no one. I mean it has been delayed forever, and I don’t think anyone really thought it would see the light of day. You can take a look at the lookbook pictures that appeared today, but do not get your hopes up on ever wearing any of the pieces shown. On related news though, word is that kanYe will still be releasing some pieces under his own name. This will either not comes out either, or will be the cheap stuff he already sells in his online store.

Kanye West’s involvement in the design and fashion world has become almost as prominent as his music. Despite all the controversy surrounding the whiz kid, his contributions to the fashion scene with collaborations with Louis Vuitton and Nike makes him undeniably one of the emerging strong players in the industry. Also, with that said, it seemed only like a matter of time before Kanye West starts his own clothing line, and sure enough, news of Pastelle had been released a while ago. It’s only till yesterday that some lookbook shots of Pastelle surfaced on the web. Check out the preview shots which points at an energetic and vibrant collection with lots of colors and interesting tribal/Asian inspired graphics. Fans of Kanye have yet another reason to rejoice and welcome the man’s comeback from his Swift descend into controversy during the MTV VMAs. See this is why I hate it when singers or actors try and branch into fashion. It makes fashion look like a fall back and like it’s cheap. Please please please can celebrities leave fashion to the people who know what they are doing!

Fresh off the VMA controversy and a cancelled tour with Lady Gaga, Kanye or his people have leaked a few images from his long awaited clothing line Pastelle. Hopefully the line will be in stores soon, possibly around the time of his next album (hint hint). Who doesn’t like a good ‘ol comeback story?
