Jason Bourneシリーズの主演＆監督コンビが組んだ新作「Green Zone」が観たいぞ。ボーンとのキャラの棲み分けができているかちょっと不安ｗｗ　ボーンの続編もこのコンビらしいので期待してますよ！

Matt Damon and Paul Greengrass. You may recognise this combination of actor and director from a few films involving a character known as Jason Bourne. Oh wait but is this yet another Bourne film? I mean there’s espionage, interrogation, chase scenes and fast camera shots, how could it NOT be?

Well its not. The film known as the Green Zone stars Matt Damon as a U.S. Army officer hunting down some good old weapons of mass destruction. I’m sure Damon’s doing this for the kicks.

I can’t resist linking to this provocative list of ’the best movies’ of the Noughties. There will be thousands of such lists over the next seven weeks as we see the decade out, but anyone who knows me just a little bit will know that I would rather argue about films than most other things.

It’s great to see first place taken by Austrian auteur Michael Haneke (for Hidden), and second place by Paul Greengrass (for his two populist Bourne thrillers) – as if to say that both Hollywood and the arthouse can achieve cinematic greatness.

But it’s hard to take the list seriously when one of the worst films of the decade – Bond’s relaunch in Casino Royale – comes in at number eight…

Em tese, este corpo político – ou sombra política seria melhor expressão – são a retaguarda última de defesa e soberania da pátria. Não importa muito os meios para cada um atingir o seu fim.

Tudo bem, o panorama que sustenta a máquina do governo contra o indivíduo não é muito destacado pelo filme de Paul Greengrass. Entretanto, as consequências catastróficas que incidem sobre que é, afinal de contas, um ser humano comum não podem ser evitadas. O troco da cobaia humana, Bourne, não poderia ser muito menos cruel. Novamente, menos do que por uma decisão refletida vemos o espasmo da natureza humana exigindo a sua restituição.

No resgate de Jason Bourne de sua identidade o agente tem que se confrontar com o passado em que ele fora parte do sistema. Não o inimigo. E precisa começar a missão final na qual, no papel de agente-secreto, acaba por ter que desvendar o mistério de sua própria natureza: a natureza Bourne.

Green Zone reúne a Paul Greengrass y Matt Damon después de su exitosa colaboración en la saga Bourne. Ambos planean retomar la franquicia del espía en los próximos meses, pero antes presentarán esta cinta, cuya título hace referencia a la zona verde de la convulsa Bagdad. El thriller tiene como protagonista a un soldado encargado de buscar armas convencionales en territorio iraquí en plena contienda. Desatendiendo las confusas órdenes de sus superiores, el militar pondrá el país patas arriba tras la pista de un criminal que está introduciendo una gran cantidad de armas en el territorio, con la aparente complicidad de algunos grandes hombres del país de las barras y estrellas. Su investigación le convertirá en objetivo de un grupo terrorista local y de su propio ejército. Amy Ryan, Brendan Gleeson, Jason Isaacs y Greg Kinnear participan también en la película, que se estrena el 12 de Marzo.

On March 12, 2010, Matt Damon and director Paul Greengrass (The Bourne Supremacy, The Bourne Ultimatum, United 93) re-team for the electrifying thriller Green Zone. In the film, Damon stars as Chief Warrant Officer Roy Miller, a rogue U.S. Army officer who must hunt through covert and faulty intelligence hidden on foreign soil before war escalates in an unstable region.

A scant five days after the best movies of 2009 are crowned at the Academy Awards, a movie will be released that could have been among those.  ”Green Zone” was slated for release this year, but the decision was made to push it back to 2010.  This was probably for financial reasons as so many great movies get lost in the heap during the month of December, and this year has taught us that a movie can make a nice chunk of change in the early months of the year.

“Green Zone” reunites the versatile Matt Damon, who at the time of release could be fresh off an Oscar win or nomination for either “The Informant!” or “Invictus,” with Paul Greengrass, director of the final two installments of the Bourne trilogy.  But Greengrass is capable of making something other than an epic action movie; he was nominated for Best Director at the Academy awards in 2006 for his work on “United 93.”  Damon’s character Roy Miller is a U.S. Army officer in the volatile Green Zone region, the center of international presence in Baghdad, who discovers that the CIA is working directly in opposition to his efforts to remove terrorist leaders.  In order to do what he feels is the greater good, he goes rogue.  Featuring an ensemble cast including Brendan Gleeson, Jason Isaacs, and Oscar nominees Greg Kinnear and Amy Ryan, “Green Zone” can hopefully provide awards-level entertainment in the fairly barren winter months.

However, the movie being set in Iraq could hamper the film’s receipts.  There has yet to be any bonanza made off a movie set in the Middle East, and only recently has their been a movie, “The Hurt Locker,” that has opened to widespread critical acclaim (although I loved “The Kingdom” … never have I felt so patriotic).  That movie focused more on characters and not on action, and if the same applies to “Green Zone,” it should do fine.  Universal put out two trailers for the movie this week.  The domestic trailer makes it look more like the “Bourne” movies with plenty of action, while the international trailer focuses more on the plot.  I embedded the international trailer here because if you have read this blog at all, you know my main concern is story.  A side note/quick pondering, does this mean that Universal thinks that Americans only want action and no plot?  Whatever the case may be for “Green Zone,” I’m sold.

Seine Jagd führt ihn nach London, wo er sich mit einem Journalisten Simon Ross treffen will, der Artikel über den geheimnisvollen Jason Bourne veröffentlicht – und scheinbar über brisantes Detailwissen verfügt. Die CIA hält Bourne für Ross’ Informanten und lässt Order ausgeben, den Mann ohne Gedächtnis endgültig aus dem Verkehr zu ziehen …

Bourne is back. Der erste Teil der Reihe gilt für mich als moderner Klassiker, ist einfach das Musterbeispiel eines packenden Thrillers, dessen spannende Story selbst eine vollkommen sinnlose Lovestory zwischendrin mühelos kompensiert (eben wie “Collateral”, nur ohne den Störfaktor Tom Cruise). Und oh Wunder, die Fortsetzung von “The Bourne Identity”, “The Bourne Supremacy”, kam an das Original beinahe heran, ließ die abwegige Romanze beiseite und konzentrierte sich auf die gelungen düstere Atmosphäre – gerade der Showdown in Moskau hatte einfach was für sich, auch wenn der Film etwas mehr Thrill und etwas weniger Action vertragen hätte. Tolle Reihe bis dahin, und trotz der Epilepsie-Warnungen einiger Reviews war ein Kinobesuch seinerzeit natürlich Pflicht. Seltsamerweise habe ich über zwei Jahre gebraucht, um den Film ein zweites Mal zu schauen.

Normalerweise nicht gerade ein Zeichen für einen wirklich guten Film – fragt mich bitte nicht, woran es gelegen haben mag. Jedenfalls nicht an den viel beschrieenen wackeligen Kameras. Zugegeben, etwas anstregend sind die schon, gerade bei Bournes Abstecher nach Madrid, wo er nach Ross’ Informanten sucht, dem nun auch die CIA auf der Spur ist. Dabei kommt ihm die ehemalige Treadstone-Mitarbeiterin Nicky Parssons zuhilfe, mit der Bourne bereits im vorigen Film unter etwas hektischen Bedingungen Bekanntschaft geschlossen hat. Natürlich ist beiden ein Killer auf den Fersen – in Sachen Vorhersehbarkeit übertrifft “The Bourne Ultimatum” seine Vorgänger auf jeden Fall. Das ändert aber nichts daran, dass Bournes Flucht über die Dächer Madrids wirklich spektakulär ist.

Nun, das allein reicht für einen wirklich guten Film natürlich nicht aus. Die beklemmende Atmosphäre des ersten Teils ist in “The Bourne Supremacy” wohl auf der Strecke gelieben und spätestens im dritten Teil der Reihe unwiederbringlich verloren – woraufhin sie natürlich durch ein Übermaß an Action, Krawall und Autoverfolgungsjagdten kompensiert wird, wie man das aus Hollywood-Reihen eben kennt (Matrix anyone?). Das gelingt natürlich nur, wenn man sein Gehirn auf Durchzug schaltet, denn Bourne macht in seinem dritten Ensatz gerne mal einen auf Bruce Willis in “Unbreakable”, lässt sich in Autos von Dächern stürzen oder übersteht fünffache Überschläge mal eben unverletzt. Den Airbag will ich haben. Ma abgesehen davon, dass es ihm ohne Probleme gelingt, mal kurz in einen CIA-Komplex reinzumarschieren, sich ein paar hochgeheime Dokumente zu “borgen”, einen coolen Spruch abzulassen und wieder zu verschwinden. Joah.

Jedweder Sinn für die Realität ist also futsch. Die Macher der Reihe nutzen diesen Umstand allerdings geschickt, um stattdessen auf die Hysterie vor einem beinahe allmächtigen Geheimdienst zu setzen, der die ganze Welt überwacht und mir nichts, dir nichts in aller Öffentlichkeit Menschen umbringt, nur weil die ihm gerade nicht in den Kram passen. Ein Anliegen, dass ich als Piraten-Sympatisant (und überhaupt freiheitsliebender Mensch) eigentlich nur toll finden kann, so plump es auch gemacht sein mag. Hollywood-Lektion Nummero Uno: Wenn schon unrealistisch, dann bitte gleich das Komplettprogramm. Wobei, wer weiß eigentlich, wie nahe “The Bourne Ultimatum” an der Realität liegt?

Im Großen und Ganzen reicht der dritte Film der Reihe um Jason Bourne nicht mehr an seine Vorgänger heran, dafür wird einfach zu sehr auf Krawall und Getöse gesetzt. Dennoch bleibt Bourne immer noch der bessere Bond, was natürlich auch an Matt Damon liegt, der einfach nur eine coole Sau ist (okay, “Dogma” bleibt unübertroffen) und auch Daniel Craig locker den Rang abläuft. Für einen reinen Actionfilm ist “The Bourne Ultimatum” letzten Endes gut gelungen, auch wenn es gerade nach dem eher lahmen Ende wirklich keinen vierten Teil bräuchte. Der ist natürlich schon beschlossene Sache.

Matt Damon is on a roll! How many movies has he had this year? 2? 3?

Another one that is coming out soon is Green Zone directed by Paul Greengrass (The Bourne Ultimatun and The Bourne Supremacy). Another action packed movie with Greg Kinnear in a supporting role, this will be released on March 2010.

Filmin konusu Irak savaşında kaosun hüküm sürdüğü, hiç kimsenin birbirine güvenmediği, alınan her kararın beklenmedik sonuçlara yol açabileceği ilk günlerde geçiyor. Tebligat Çavuşu Roy Miller (Damon) bu tehlikeli yerde en zor bulunan silahın gerçeğin kendisi olduğunu keşfediyor. Film bir değişiklik olmazsa ülkemizde 30 Nisan 2010 tarihinde gösterime girecek.

On March 12th, Matt Damon stars in The Green Zone, also known as The Bourne Operation Iraqi Freedom. In any case, it’s proof that you don’t need Marlon Wayans to make a good G.I. Joe movie.

Director Paul Greengrass’s latest endeavor appears to be quite akin to his most renowned works, The Bourne Supremacy and The Bourne Ultimatum. His decision to even cast Matt Damon in the lead puts the film in a supiciously familiar haven, and I’m not sure what to get out of it.

On one hand, I love The Bourne Trilogy. However, I want to see artistic development in Greengrass’ next projects . The trailer shows how entertaining this film will most likely be, and Greengrass’ repertoire proves how talented he is. Yet, seeing him become formulaic is a setback.

Of course, I could be completely wrong about the movie. The studios could’ve demanded that the trailer be cut to encapsulate the Bourne mentality, which would easily garner moviegoers.

Whether Greengrass is becoming passe or the studios are being far too cheap and manipulative, I am left disappointed with this preview.

Here’s an odd one.  This is a movie about an elite, rogue soldier fighting against his own government and uncovering multi-layered conspiracies.  It stars Matt Damon and is directed by Paul Greengrass.  I won’t be the first person to say that this is essentially a Bourne prequel.  It most definitely isn’t but it might as well be.  That’s not to say that it isn’t worth watching, I absolutely loved the Bourne movies, and especially the last two (the ones Mr. Greengrass directed).

This movie is something about W.M.D.s and Baghdad, I don’t really know, I have no interest in war stuff.  It also starts Amy Ryan, Greg Kinnear and Brendan Gleeson.  I kinda wish Amy Ryan wasn’t a successful film star, but Only because I want her to go back on The Office.  Brendan Gleeson appears to be playing an American in this movie.  That should be interesting.  I love the guy, especially his accent, but without the accent I’m afraid he might just come off as extremely effeminate.  We shall see.

Sieht genau nachdem aus was ich erwarte. Freue mich drauf, meine Kinokarte ist schon so gut wie gekauft.

Mr. Damon  esta de actualidad por partida doble, ya que ayer salieron los primeros avances de sus dos próximos proyectos, “Invictus” de Clint Eastwood y “Green Zone” de Paul Greengrass, y que curiosamente son adaptaciones de libros, seguramente alguna con mas acierto que la otra.

Clint Eastwood nos presenta su adaptación de la novela “The Human Factor: Nelson Mandela and the Game That Changed the World” de John Carlin. La película, en resumidas cuentas, nos narra la historia de como Nelson Mandela aprovecho la Copa del Mundo de Rugby de 1995 que se disputo en Sudáfrica para luchar contra el Apartheid, y unir al país. En esta película Damon encarna a la estrella de rugby sudafricana Francois Pienaar, mientras que Morgan Freeman hace lo mismo con el mencionado Mandela. Ya hay rumores con este avance sobre futuras nominaciones en la próxima ceremonia de los Oscars.

La segunda película que nos muestra a Damon en pantalla es “Green Zone” una libre adaptación de “Imperial Life in the Emerald City: Inside Iraq’s Green Zone” que publicó Rajiv Chandrasekaran en el año 2007. La zona verde a la que hace referencia el titulo de la película se refiere a la zona más segura de Bagdad después de la invasión de Irak de 2003 encabezada por los Estados Unidos. En esta ocasión Damon interpreta a un agente de la CIA que busca pruebas de armas de destrucción masiva. La adaptación viene de la mano de Paul Greengrass que ya trabajo como director con Matt en la saga Bourne y que viendo el trailer tiene muchas similitudes visuales con la citada saga.

El estreno en España de “Invictus” esta fijado para el 29 de Enero del año que viene, más de un mes después de su estreno norteamericano. “Green Zone” nos llega un poco mas tarde, el 19 de Marzo.

Prueba número 2. Matt Damon es un crack porque a ver quién es el guapo (literalmente) de Hollywood que saca en una misma semana (casi en un mismo día) dos pedazo de trailers de dos pedazo de películas (en este caso la calidad se presume, como el valor en la mili) con dos pedazo de directores. En Invictus, que está justo debajo, es Clint Eastwood y en Green Zone es Paul Greengrass, con quien ya trabajó y trabajará Damon en la saga Bourne. Green Zone, que hace verde a la Zona Verde o Ciudad Esmeralda de Bagdad, es un thriller que mezcla acción y política y en el que Damon interpreta a un militar enviado a Irak en busca de armas de destrucción masiva. Esta misión podría ser la broma pesada del año (al menos por lo encontrado hasta ahora en ese convulso territorio) de no ser porque el soldado se juega el cuello en cada esquina para desmantelar una red de armas convencionales y una conspiración política que, al parecer, surge del bando de los buenos. Greg Kinnear, Amy Ryan, Brendan Gleeson, Jason Isaacs y Khalid Abdalla acompañan a Damon y Greengrass en uno de los trailers / película más intensos del año. El estreno para el 12 de Marzo.
