The accident occurred at approximately 9:45p.m. on the 7700 block of Linda Vista Road.  Ms. Vang was struck by a white Chevy Impala traveling southbound on Linda Vista.  She was leaving a family party and was crossing the street to fetch her car parked on the other side of the road.  Emergency medical personnel transported Ms. Vang to Sharp Memorial Hospital where she was pronounced dead shortly after her arrival.

Ms. Vang was married and had several children.  The name of the driver has yet to be released, but he is said to be a male in his 20′s.  Police did not cite or arrest the man, nor do they believe that alcohol or drugs were factors in the accident.
