* If you find any one of the files above , Run the command attrib -h -r -s -a *.* and Hit Enter.
* Now Delete each File using the following Command del filename ( E.g del autorun.inf ) .
* That’s it . Now just scan your USB drive with the anti virus you have to ensure that you made your Pen Drive free of Virus.

No Ubuntu (não sei em qual versão começou a aparecer) tem um programa em Sistema – Administração, chamado de “Criador de disco USB inicializável”, que serve pra usar um pen drive como se fosse um “live cd”, só com a diferença de que no pen drive, o sistema pode ser customizado e deixar guardado as alterações, mesmo que reinicialize, desde que tenha selecionado a opção “Armazenado no espaço adicional reservado” .

Só uma observação, para que o sistema seja inicializado corretamente, o pen drive deverá estar formatado como fat 16, tentei com ext3 e fat32 e não inicializou, ao invés de inicializar, aparece uma mensagem de erro dizendo que não encontra a imagem.

O botão formatar do “Criador de disco USB inicializável”, não funcionou pra mim, então pode ser usado o Gparted ( no modo gráfico) ou o fdisk e o mkdosfs no terminal (meu preferido).

Para formatar, tem que estar como root no terminal:

Obs: Se não souber o nome do dispositivo, é só digitar no terminal fdisk -l, que vai aparecer algo parecido com isso:

Disco /dev/sdb: 1022 MB, 1022623744 bytes
32 heads, 61 sectors/track, 1023 cylinders
Unidades = cilindros de 1952 * 512 = 999424 bytes
Identificador do disco: 0×0005f957

-F16 formata em Fat16;

-v é para aparecer as mensagens do comando;

-n “KINGSTON” é para dar o nome KINGSTON para o pen drive;

/dev/sdb1 é o como o pen drive foi identificado

Fdisk:

# fdisk /dev/sdb   (nome do dispositivo que o pen drive foi nomeado)

Se já houver uma partição, tecle a letra d (para excluir) e aperte enter

Comando (m para ajuda): d

E segue:

1. Comando (m para ajuda): n
2. Comando (m para ajuda): p
3. Número da partição (1-4): 1  (Aperte Enter para as duas próximas perguntas.)

The method is very simple and you can use without any hassles. Needless to say that your motherboard should support USB Boot feature to make use of the bootable USB drive.

Requirements:

*USB Flash Drive (Minimum 4GB)

*Windows 7 or Vista installation files.

Follow the below steps to create bootable Windows 7/Vista USB drive using which you can install Windows 7/Vista easily.

1. Plug-in your USB flash drive to USB port and move all the contents from USB drive to a safe location on your system.

2. Open Command Prompt with admin rights. Use any of the below methods to open Command Prompt with admin rights.

*Type cmd in Start menu search box and hit Ctrl+ Shift+ Enter.

Or

*Go to Start menu > All programs > Accessories, right click on Command Prompt and select Run as administrator.

3. You need to know about the USB drive a little bit. Type in the following commands in the command prompt:

First type DISKPART and hit enter to see the below message.

Next type LIST DISK command and note down the Disk number (ex: Disk 1) of your USB flash drive. In the below screenshot my Flash Drive Disk no is Disk 1.

4. Next type all the below commands one by one. Here I assume that your disk drive no is “Disk 1”.If you have Disk 2 as your USB flash drive then use Disk 2.Refer the above step to confirm it.

So below are the commands you need to type and execute one by one:

SELECT DISK 1

CLEAN

CREATE PARTITION PRIMARY

SELECT PARTITION 1

ACTIVE

FORMAT FS=NTFS

(Format process may take few seconds)

ASSIGN

EXIT

Don’t close the command prompt as we need to execute one more command at the next step. Just minimize it.

5. Next insert your Windows7/Vista DVD into the optical drive and check the drive letter of the DVD drive. In this guide I will assume that your DVD drive letter is “D” and USB drive letter is “H” (open my computer to know about it).

6. Maximize the minimized Command Prompt in the 4th step.Type  the following command now:

D: CD BOOT and hit enter.Where “D” is your DVD drive letter.

CD BOOT and hit enter to see the below message.

7. Type another command given below to update the USB drive with BOOTMGR compatible code.

8. Copy your Windows 7/Vista DVD contents to the USB flash drive.

9. Your USB drive is ready to boot and install Windows 7/Vista. Only thing you need to change the boot priority at the BIOS to USB from the HDD or CD ROM drive. I won’t explain it as it’s just the matter the changing the boot priority or enabling the USB boot option in the BIOS.

Estou trazendo um post sobre Vírus de Pen-drive, espero que gostem.

Um rapaz fez um comentário no post sobre “Segurança para Pen-drive” e me fez uma pergunta “Se o meu pen-drive estiver infectado não vai mudar a configuração dos programas nele?”

Na verdade é difícil pois hoje em dia os Crackers estão mais preocupados em roubar arquivos e informações do que apagá-los. E para que isso fosse possível o Cracker tem que saber a falha na programação do programa que quer modificar, então se o objetivo dele fosse fazer algo com os arquivos contidos no pen-drive ele simplesmente faria um vírus que apagasse todo o seu conteúdo.

Mas como eu disse, os Crackers de hoje fazem vírus do tipo “Roubo de informações”, como Trojans e etc.

Uma coisa que muitos não sabem é que qualquer tipo vírus é inofensivo se você não executá-lo. Mas você deve estar se perguntando “Eu não acionei nada e meu computador foi infectado”, não é verdade, o que acontece é que os Crackers fazem você executar o vírus sem que você perceba. Um exemplo está no Autorun que pode ser encontrado em pen-drives, CDs e DVDs.

Ao infectar o Autorun de um pen-drive por exemplo, quando você o coloca no computador ele é automaticamente executado e consequentemente o vírus vai junto, pois o vírus foi configurado para iniciar junto com o Autorun. Pronto o seu computador foi infectado. Como se defender disso? Clique AQUI!

Another week before I can fully enjoy myself. With 3 important exams…maybe four if you think Moral is important, History, Accounts and Math, I will have to crack my head for seven more days.

Presumably, next Monday, my pen drive will arrive and just a second ago, the seller of the headphone said I can only receive it on Tuesday. T_T

Next month, my schedule will be brimming full with a day without the Net. I will be joining the Rakan Muda’s one and a half day camp in well…some where I don’t know. Two of my lovely friends will be joining me along with other Form 4 students. On the 15th as well, I will be going to Genting Highlands with my family and my cousin’s. It is a three days two nights trip. We went there every year so I don’t feel any excitement there but maybe my cousins joining me and my sister’s friends will change things a little more positive. And the feeling that I contributed RM400 to the trip and so, we will be enjoying better food is exhilarating. Sis will be treating suppers, I will be lunch, mom will be breakfast and dad will be dinner. I am thinking of asking sis to put in cappuccino into her menu.

Internet marketing is really hard, because either the bloggers didn’t put their email on the blog or they don’t reply to emails. Some with such low Page Rank demand price that are ridiculously high. I have another advertiser at hand who wants blogs which is based on autos as he would like to advertise about the auto insurance he is managing. Therefore, auto blogs are what I seek for now. In our third in-class session we talked about the digital school bag (“digitale Schultasche”). The digital school bag is a collection of open source software that is installed on a flash pen drive that can also contain all the required personal data of the user. The use of the digital school bag offers a highly flexible and consistent working environment since you can work with it at home and in school and basically on any computer with a Windows operating system. Besides the fact that you have all the data and programs you need on a small portable device this method offers many additional advantages. The digital school bag is free of charge and since no additional software has to be installed, there are no problems concerning the incompatibility of documents and programs and no additional disk space on the operating computer is required. However the digital software is only available for windows and depending on the speed of the pen drive used, the programs may work slower then usually.

The digital school bag can be downloaded from the German website of the Medienzentrum Kassel. The only requirement is a flash pen drive (at least 20 MB/s reading and 10 MB/s writing) with a capacity of at least one Gigabyte (however a two Gigabyte pen drive is recommended) that should be used only for this purpose.
