Two things before I forget. The first one is what I alluded to yesterday, that we needed more room for, which I will get to next. The second item of business is a bit on the political side, which we will address now. (Yes, the first thing second and the second thing first, shut up, I’m dyslexic. And SPECIAL!)

We don’t usually go all topically newsy and shit in JulieLand, because it’s damn obvious how far left I am, but WITH all of these law enforcement influences (not to mention how I was raised by a Marine Corps Drill Sergeant, with guns around every freaking corner and under all the beds), so it’s best to just leave these types of discussions for other places. Except for right now.

Two years ago my son started a blog, because he had a point to make, and he wanted to exercise his freedom to speak it here on the interwebz. Last night he wrote his second post. I encourage you to read both of them. Just don’t forget that where his mother writes is a Hate Free Zone. (Now I have to go change the title under Important Family.) J.D.’s TWO post blog.

As I mentioned, my seasonal managerial career has come to an end. My income now depends on how many readings I can drum up and how many bad words I can cross stitch for like-minded readers. Except when I find money, then it’s just free and festive.

That was what I saw in the street on yesterday’s (extra) wander around the neighborhood. The finding began before we left for our Seattle adventures, just after I started to really accept the fact that my kiosk was NOT coming back. When we got on the train there was some assorted change in my assigned seat. As we stepped off on our Portland stop-over, there was a nickel on the ground. After our bus ride, and while we were marching up the hill to Han and Adam’s new home, I noticed a penny by the curb.

This continued nearly every time we went out over the weekend (sometimes twice in one outing). And it’s not let up since we’ve been home. What I interpreted from these (overwhelming) signs was that I don’t need to work in the mall anymore, I’m going to do just fine with my independent income from now on. That money will just continue to show up.

Not everyone agrees with me about what these coins from above mean right now. And in fact, SOME people are saying that if I am going to try and live on (or just even try to contribute) this found money, it should be paper dollars, not random coinage. My feeling is, well … who’s the <del>witch</del> wise old crone around here?!

(This is another type of omen than when ONLY dimes show up, that’s about cycles. And yeah, in a way this is too, but its over-all feeling is slightly different.)

My lost list was apparently more than one, because when I found a scribbled-on scrap of paper earlier today, it only had a few Foreign License Plates on it, and I know I wrote down more than these three: Illinois, Massachusetts, and Wyomeeeee. I’ll keep searching, they usually show up within a week.

Turns out (ROBIN!) that it was most fortuitous of me to grab a bonus trudge on my “day off” because this afternoon turned into gawdamn night-time practically by three o’clock, and we ran out of light. I dressed for erranding, but with the thought that we’d do some walking while we were out. Yeah, except I didn’t count on the sideways freaking rain. That blew my umbrella inside out.

Daniel and I have made an executive decision for Moonday Marches from this point forward, until the sun starts going the other direction anyway. Our last stop is going to be someone else’s neighborhood and we’re going to lock up the car, then head out exploring, where there are street lamps and parking lot lighting. We’ll keep you posted on how this goes. Tonight we ended up at a donut shop. So far, not so great. Except ya know, yum: donuts.

And, some Chinese food. We ordered ONE dinner each, and a side of broccoli beef. We ate when we got home. And ate a lot. That picture above represents our left-overs! Go here when you’re in town. I think they still have a prime rib special one day a week too.

Here’s our crystal message for the daily draw, I love this deck so much.

”Prehnite ~ profound spiritual love, protection, prophetic vision.

You are about to gain a profound spiritual insight in the form of a prophetic vision which appears to you in your dreams or at a time in which you least expect it. Through this you realise that, at the heart of the matter, only love exists and that our perceptions of good and evil are simply a human illusion.

A deep inner knowing will swell from within you and you will realise that all is literally bathed in love; nothing can ever harm you or have a negative effect on you, apart from your own fears.

Through this experience you will have no doubt that a higher force does exist, and that through this higher force, all is possible. As you begin to trust in the universal power of love to guide you, your life will take on a greater meaning and purpose.”

Last night I smelled something, that wasn’t really here, or rather, wasn’t really NOW. If you’ve followed along for a while with me (or been through the History Quilt) you’ll know that this is hugely significant. Also, we need to maybe ignore the use of “literally” in this definition. Just a thought. Otherwise though, WAY cool!
