Now, what I will tell you is that the only thing more beautiful than Leonardo DiCaprio in soaking wet white suit in that movie was Carey Mulligan’s wardrobe. Stop my beating heart, some of those dresses were….were…oh goodness, I can’t even talk about it, they were so beautiful! Scratch that, let’s talk about them!

Firstly, I think I have a girl crush on Carey Mulligan, I always slightly adored her but now it’s full on love. She just reminds me of an adorable little nymph and sweet goodness I wish I could wear a pixie cut like her.

Look at that dress. I lost track of the movie when she was wearing this one because my eyes were so focused on the details of this.

I’m sorry, why can’t we dress like this everyday?

Prada was behind these costumes so duh that they were nothing short of heavenly.

I can’t seem to find my favorite dress from this movie which Daisy wears when we are first introduced to her character. It took my breath away, I just could not take my eyes off of it.My only wish is that I could steal Gatsby and Daisy’s wardrobe for Jon and I…just not their fate. *le sigh*

My sister is small but she is a grown up in her own self , emotions that even lead one to death have certainly crept her inside for she has taken up the responsibility of the three of us ,I ,mother and father. At this stage of my life where i stand today and when i sometimes ponder about the past I smile and wonder that how does God beautifully bless people with family.How fortunate are the children who get so much love from two unknown people apparently their parents.Life is an IRONICAL statement itself.

So ,our family which is still struggling to get a worth life,where we strive for a better life each day .Eyes are there for people to dream,to make castles not only in day but also in reality.Fortunate are those not born with a silver spoon for they know the hidden reality of life.I personally dont think that king and queen of the town would have been able to answer the ‘what’s’ of life,for they just know the number of hotels they own leaving behind the reality of life who owns just his own life.

Today while returning from my championship meet, I had the most incredible view. The sky was pink, the mountains were perfect, and to add to the glorious beauty, there was an airplane in the frame.

I auditioned back in April, and I found out today that I’ve been chosen as one of only 14 performers from my audition date (where there were about 500 people trying out). I’ve been selected to be a live character, which means that I’ll get to dress up like a princess and walk around the park meeting little kids! Also, according to the letter I got in the mail today, I have “the singing abilities of a true Disney princess”, and they actually want me to perform and sing!

I’m not 100% sure what princess I will be portraying. They told me that I could either be Belle, Cinderella, or Snow White (since my skin is so white… I guess it payed off!). The letter said that I will most likely be Belle, since she is the one who sings the most classically and the most opera-ish songs (which is what I specialize in!).

This has been my dream since– I can’t even remember when. Every little girl wants to be a princess when they grow up, and now I actually have that chance. I’ll be working at Disney World all summer, so if you take a trip down there soon, make sure you look for Belle! It could be me!

I’ll post more details as I get them. This is such an incredible opportunity and I’m so thankful! DREAM BIG everyone! In the spirit of a true Disney princess, “Dreams really do come true!”

Okay okay okay… Where were we? Let us take the time machine back to January 23rd, when the weather was freezing and my apartment was steaming.

*poof!*

Here we are. January 23rd, 2013.

Just kidding. Lets go back ever farther to the planning stages of this shoot. Reeeewind!

After being invited to be an affiliated photographer for Deadly Dessert Magazine, the first issue I would have work in was going to be the February issue. I knew this was a great excuse to shoot a Valentine’s Day themed shoot that I’ve been dying to do. Anyone who has seen my body of work knows that I love to shoot barely-clothed beautiful women with bright colored hair. I’m sure you can guess where this is going.

My apartment in the city is tiny and I don’t have a studio but I knew this shoot had to be indoors. It seems like I’ve shot every inch of my apartment a million times. I knew I had to make my apartment NOT look like my apartment. So I while doing a round between the dollar store, craft store, fabric store, and thrift store for photoshoot goodies, I stumbled upon this awesome fabric on sale at G Street Fabrics in Maryland. Initially I thought about wrapping my models in the pink fabric, but then I had the idea to make curtains behind them with the fabric. Since the fabric was on sale and dirt cheap, I bought all of it and brought it home for a little experimenting.

My big sis was in town visiting and she also just so happens to be the craft queen. It was nice to have an extra set of hands!

After a night of trying different ways of hanging the curtains, I decided that it could definitely be done.

Okay… Fast forward to January 23rd.

After finding two beautiful models and a super talented makeup artist, the transformation of my apartment and my girls began.

Allison Amend is out with her third book. It’s a novel called “A Nearly Perfect Copy.” It features richly detailed characters, including an art dealer gone bad, and it’s set in both Paris and New York. Our review Alan Cheuse found it all quite delectable.

ALAN CHEUSE, BYLINE: Elmira, known as Elm Howells, works her expertise mainly about European drawings and paintings at a family art auction house in Manhattan. A great success at what she does, she’s got what Allison Amend describes for us as the eye – a way of seeing through a painting or drawing, of gathering in an instant its myriad qualities, good or bad. So, Elm Howells knows how to tell a real work of art from a forgery. But all her expertise can’t shield her from the pain of losing her young son in a natural disaster. In fact, it becomes her reason for going against everything she believes in as a professional and descending into the world of forgeries and copies of real art. Amend draws sharp characters: a couple in New York who hope to clone their dear-departed dog, a near-middle-age Spanish painter living in self-imposed exile in Paris, his scheming girlfriend, an unscrupulous art dealer. She creates a nicely evolving plot with New York and Paris as the settings. And what unfolds is acutely appealing: various characters struggling to overcome defeat and failure in their private and public lives against a backdrop filled with the particulars of middle-class family life and the art world here and abroad. I got caught up in their problems, their struggles. I loved the lore about the art business. Really, I found this to be a terrifically entertaining novel that never lost its hold on the hearts of its characters or mine. When I turn my eye on this, I see something quite real.
