La gala se celebró en la discoteca Pachá de Madrid y hasta ella se acercaron un buen número de famosos.

Se fallaba la tercera edición de los premios que concede, desde 2007, la Academia del Perfume, una institución que, poco a poco, se ha ido consolidando no sólo como aglutinadora de la industria perfumística de nuestro país, sino también como una magnífica plataforma para dar a conocer el siempre seductor mundo de las fragancias. El escenario escogido para dar a conocer a los premiados de este año fue la discoteca Pachá de Madrid y por ella desfilaron un buen número de famosos que no quisieron perderse el acontecimiento: Carla Royo-Villanova, la modelo Carla Pereira, Concha García Campoy, Luis Medina (que anoche actuaba como relaciones públicas del local), Anne Igartiburu, el diseñador Juan Duyos, Pedro Trapote y Begoña García Vaquero o la actriz Manuela Velasco que actuó como presentadora de la gala.

A menudo vemos anuncios de perfumes de marcas conocidas en la televisión, no obstante, cuando llegan las navidades la cantidad de ese tipo de anuncio aumenta considerablemente.

Sabemos que la creatividad de los anuncios son siempre realizadas para su público objetivo, al que irá utilizar el producto o servicio, pero no podemos olvidar que los anuncios también son hechos para quien va a comprar, que ni siempre es la misma persona que lo utilizará.

Por ejemplo, los anuncios de juguetes son para llegar a su público objetivo, los niños, pero quien los compra, son los padres.

En el caso de los perfumes masculinos, en mi opinión, son hechos para las mujeres. Sí, para las mujeres, para que nosotras compremos los perfumes para nuestras parejas. Vamos, quien no vio el anuncio del perfume “Hombre” de Victorio y Luchino con Miguel Ángel Silvestre y no paró lo que estaba haciendo para echar un vistazo, el tío está buenísimo, y el de Dolce & Gabbana del perfume “The One” con el guapísimo Matt McConaughey. Fijate en los anuncios son todos, todos, de hombres guapos, atractivos y muy, muy seductores. Ya ves, compramos una imagen, compramos una idea, la idea de tener “ese tío guapo” en casa.

Que sigan haciendo esos anuncios, a mi, me encantan…

Los dos botes, tienen forma de manzana y con las hojas, lo único que cambia es el color (el de Twilight es de un rojo sangre).
Los creadores del perfume de la película pensaron en la manzana como símbolo de la fruta prohibida pero fue Nina Ricci quien sacó antes este diseño. Ahora la famosa diseñadora se plantea tomar acciones legales contra los creadores del perfume Twilight…
En la actualidad el perfume Twilight se encuentra descatalogado.

El sábado 21 de noviembre, día de la puesta en marcha del sorteo, el valor de la Cesta de Navidad era de 4.302 euros, cifra que esperan aumentar en las próximas semanas. Las responsables del programa nos entrevistaron el mismo sábado, poco antes de las dos de la tarde, para agradecer nuestra participación, cosa que nos hizo mucha ilusión, ya que hablar de belleza es una de las cosas que más nos gusta. En total, su valor supera los 800 €.

Existen plantas que están íntimamente vinculadas al desarrollo de una región o incluso de un país y otras que teniendo potencialidad de utilidad no han sido aprovechadas al máximo, restando a la nación de entradas económicas apreciables. Tal es el caso de la Sarrapia, el árbol emblemático del estado Bolívar, árbol que si bien ha favorecido, en parte, la zona sur del país donde crece en forma espontánea, ha podido ser fuente de gran riqueza para toda Venezuela mediante plantaciones artificiales.

El valor económico y comercial de este bellísimo árbol reside en la semilla de la cual se extrae la “cumarina”, sustancia con sabor a vainilla que se utiliza para aromatizar ciertos tabacos, rapés, perfumes, jabones, licores y productos de panadería.

Aunque la mayor parte de la sarrapia se obtiene de árboles que crecen en forma silvestre, actualmente a nivel mundial el número de árboles cultivados está en aumento.

En Venezuela tuvimos un ensayo de cultivo con esa finalidad en las cercanías de Puerto Cabello pero no hubo continuidad en el proyecto. Aún, hoy en día, pueden observarse algunos bellos y frondosos ejemplares en la zona de Patanemo. Igualmente hemos observado corpulentos ejemplares cerca de La Guaira (Tanaguarena), donde crecen en forma de cultivo.

Entre todas las especies de sarrapias existentes en Venezuela, la más cotizada y de la cual se extrae mayor cantidad de “cumarina” es la Sarrapia Real o Yape, conocida científicamente con el nombre de Diphysa punctata (Blake) Amsh.

Científicamente ha sido denominada, durante mucho tiempo, con el nombre de Coumarouna punctata Blake. El nombre de la sustancia “cumarina” hace alusión al vició nombre científico.

Este árbol crece en forma silvestre entre el sur de Venezuela, norte de Brasil y la zona de las Guayanas. En Venezuela abunda principalmente en las cabeceras de los afluentes de la margen derecha del Orinoco donde forma manchas extensas o sarrapiales.

La explotación de su cultivo se ha venido haciendo por Ciudad Bolívar. Actualmente los principales países productores de sarrapia son Brasil, Venezuela, Trinidad y Tobago.

El árbol de la sarrapia se desarrolla bien en una gran diversidad de suelos, pero generalmente prefiere las orillas de los ríos, con tierra formada como resultado de inundaciones, con textura suelta, algo arenosa o con mucha grava y rica en humus. Puede desarrollarse en general en todo tipo de suelos, siempre que éstos tengan buen drenaje.

Aunque la sarrapia puede resistir cortos períodos de sequía, requiere de precipitaciones pluviales entre 150 y 250 cm cúbicos y temperatura anual de 21 a 26ºC.

La Sarrapia Real, leguminosa de la familia de las Papilonáceas, se propaga mediante semillas, las cuales pueden sembrarse en un semillero o en su lugar definitivo. En su etapa juvenil requiere sombra moderada o parcial hasta que logre alcanzar alturas de 1 a 2 m. En algunos países, cuando hacen plantaciones artificiales, suelen sembrar maíz o cambur entre los arbolitos para que les proporcionen sombra.

En Trinidad, donde existen plantaciones de sarrapia, suelen recoger los frutos entre los meses de marzo a mayo. Durante varios días los tienen secando al sol para que logren madurarse completamente lo cual se reconoce porque la cáscara principia a arrugarse y toma color caoba oscuro. Luego golpean el fruto con una piedra o un martillo para que se desprenda la cáscara o vaina, quedando libres las semillas. Durante unos dos días éstas siguen un proceso de secamiento en lugares sombreados. Después de este proceso de secado las semillas que suelen medir de 3 a 4 cm de largo, se introducen en barriles para curarlas, remojándolas en ron durante varios días.

Al considerar que las semillas están curadas las extraen de los barriles. Cuando se secan se cubren con una capa blanca y cristalina que es la forma que adopta la “cumarina”, la sustancia comercial más importante que poseen; quedan de esta forma las semillas listas para la exportación.

Aunque se tienen informes de que un solo árbol ha producido hasta 23 kg. de semillas en un solo año, un rendimiento promedio de 1 a 1, 5 kg puede considerarse como un promedio normal en un año.

CARACTERISTICAS BOTANICAS

Árbol de 8 hasta 30 m de alto. Hojas compuestas, con 4 a 6 folíolos aovados a oblongos, brevemente acuminados en el ápice, coriáceos, glabros, con puntos traslucidos, de 6 a 15 cm de largo por 3 a 6 cm de ancho.

Flores en panículas cortas, rufo-tomentosas. Brácteas y bratéolas aovadas, hasta de 7 mm de largo. Cáliz rufo-tomentoso externamente, acampanado, bilabiado, con el tubo de unos 4 mm de largo; los dos segmentos superiores aovado-obiongos, algo pubescentes hasta de 9 mm de largo; labio inferior brevemente tridentado. Pétalos de unos 9 mm de largo, muy desiguales. Estandarte aovado u orbicular y profundamente emarginado en el ápice. Alas oblicuo-oblongas o aovadas, emarginadas. Quilla angosto-oblonga. Estambres, 10.

Legumbre ovoidea, drupácea, indehiscente, de unos 5 cm de largo por 3 cm de ancho, con una sola semilla.

La madera es dura, de color moreno, grano fino, poros grandes y llenos de resina blanca y olorosa.

USOS:

De las semillas se extrae la “cumarina” que se utiliza para aromatizar tabacos, perfumes, jabones, etc.

El uso de las semillas, como talismanes fue común entre los indios del Amazonas, quienes confeccionaban collares y brazaletes con ellas.

La “cumarina”, contenida en las semillas, tiene reputación como antiespasmódica, diaforética y cardiaca; retarda los movimientos respiratorios y circulatorios.

Como árbol ornamental se puede utilizar en las zonas cálidas del país y sería muy valioso debido a la frondosidad de su copa y a su tronco recto.

The traditional classification which emerged around 1900 comprised the following catego ries:

•Single Floral: Fragrances that are dominated by a scent from one particular flower; in French called a soliflore. (e.g. Serge Lutens’ Sa Majeste La Rose, which is dominated by rose.)

•Floral Bouquet:, incense resin
, Containing the combination of several flowers in a scent.

•Ambry: A large fragrance class featuring the scents of vanilla and animal scents together with flowers and woods. Can be enhanced by camphorous oils and incense resins, which bring to mind Victorian era imagery of the Middle East and Far East.

, Fragrances that are dominated by woody scents, typically of sandalwood and cedar. Patchouli, with its camphoraceous smell, is commonly found in these perfumes.

Since 1945, due to great advances in the technology of perfume creation (i.e., compound design and synthesis) as well as the natural development of styles and tastes; new categories have emerged to describe modern scents:

•Bright, incense resin

•Green: a lighter and more modern interpretation of the Chypre type.

•Oceanic/Ozone: the newest category in perfume history, appearing, incense resin
