You don’t have the time or the resources to evaluate every applicant who strolls in. to guide your work, you should develop a profile of your “ideal” candidate. You may never find your ideal, but you will establish a basic framework that outlines the person you are looking for.

Developing an ideal candidate profile is similar to viewing a lineup of suspects after you’ve witnessed a bank robbery. The individual you pick out may not be the actual bank robber, but chances are the real criminal is strongly similar. Often, a lineup helps police establish the silhouette or basic framework of the person being sought. The police is clear even if the details are not. Likewise, your ideal candidate profile will give you a sharper idea of what you are really looking for, so that you can increase your odds of finding him or her.

Use the following outline to develop of profile of your ideal candidate:

Be specific when you draft your outline. If you want someone with strong follow-up skills, say so. If you want an assertive person who can handle high stress, say so. To create a good match between job and candidate, you need to define the person as closely as you define the job.

If your department is highly structured, you want someone who works well in a structured situation. Describe the qualities that your company values so that you can find compatible candidates.

Just remember that defining the candidate is a lot like shopping for groceries: the more you toss into your shopping cart, the more you’ll pay. The cost of filling a job is influenced by two factors: how long it takes to find the candidate, and the supply of qualified candidates. The greater the number of must have items on your list, the longer it’s going to take to find that person. The greater the experience, skills, or education requirements, the smaller the supply of candidates and the larger the compensation package required to hire the person.

Jag anser att jag själv är en riktigt mörk person, men mörkret har många namn. Det finns FAKTISKT människor som läser vad en liten stackare som jag skriver och publicerar och som närmast kan bli sjukligt fanatiska. I dag insåg jag till slut att Mörkret har många namn.

En skum figur, dold av skuggor och motljus, hjärntvättade mitt hem när jag kom från dagens möten. Denna kufiska typ betraktade och analyserade böcker jag läst och ignorerade att jag överhuvudtaget kommit innanför dörren.  Jag kunde inte få kontakt med denne obehaglige man. Visste således inte vart jag skulle ta vägen.

Till slut satte sig mannen ifråga i köket och jag följde efter. Han berättade att han hade rymt från sin vårdinstans. Han var totalt galen i (nästan) allt jag skrivit och publicerat och hade gått in i min lägenhet för att försöka ikläda sig rollen av min person, genom att bruka mina kläder osv. Och han ser ju onekligen faktiskt ut att vara riktigt lik undertecknad.

Nu ska jag ta mr Hund ut i regnet på en sista promenix för idag. Känns ju inte direkt lockande måste jag säga, men skönt när det är gjort. That’s what Charlotte would have had to spin on her little web had she met Miss Piggy, a force so inimitable and awe-inspiring that she doesn’t even have a first name and makes the world address her by title.  “Some Fucking Pig.”  I would like to have seen this meeting happen, between two exceptional ladies from the annals of my childhood’s artistic education, though it seems a foregone conclusion that Miss Piggy would have pretended to be afraid, scream, then eaten the over-articulate arachnid.

Well, Charlotte is dead, but thankfully Miss Piggy lives on.  She is currently starring in a video that comes from who knows where (YouTube, birth mother to all things worth wasting life watching) but landed and splattered all over my Facebook homepage.  Yes, she only shows up at the end, but steals the entire fucking show from those other pussy Muppets.  They need to get their headshots in order and polish up their audition routines in the hopes of getting some work way off the Strip, since Miss Piggy is Muppet enough for five universes.

She is also the author of one of my favorite books from childhood/now, Miss Piggy’s Guide to Life.  I guess it was meant to be funny-haha, but I took that shit seriously.  I learned the ways of sporting feather boas and broad-brimmed hats, a habit I will reacquire as soon as I figure out where my family buried them to keep me from bringing shame upon my kin.  She wrote nothing but sense—given the choice between a pastry and an artichoke, for example, she shrewdly advises to opt for the pastry.  It weighs less.  There is no arguing with such impenetrable logic.

Here’s the thing that is so goddamn inspiring about this talking porcine lady.  Her self-assurance goes against all odds—fat (by magazine standards, not Midwestern street fair standards) with oversized nostrils, she has resisted the pressures of her show business environs to own the fuck out of what she has.  As opposed to some.  You know those two pink Mahna Mahna background bitches had work done.  No one has lips like those without the help of a syringe filled with hyaluronic acid.

But enough about those fraudulent hos.  Miss Piggy, in all her zaftig glory, snorting up pastries through her snout then karate-chopping scrawny, emotionally-unavailable frogs into next Wednesday, is a role model for women everywhere.  She’s crazy affected, delusional in her self-confidence, and obliterates the French language like it’s the Parisians who have it wrong.  Yet there is a serenity to her that is enviable and admirable—the zen of self-love and acceptance.  Never do you see her caught up in the tangles of existential angst or driven by the need to validate her being.  Get over yourself, Kermit. It’s not easy being yellow, either (just ask Scooter, diligent and near-sighted, the most Asian of all Muppets).  She glides into a room like the gift to mankind that she is, tossing her flaxen weave, fluttering her fake eyelashes and pronouncing her presence in a singsong voice.  Attention must be paid!  Take THAT, Sam the Eagle!  She has more charisma in one of her eight fingers than you do in your entire bald head!  Try running for office against her and your thinly-veiled Republican ticket will be effing ANNIHILATED in swing states by the margin of the number of closeted trannies who live there!

There is no better source of wisdom than Miss Piggy.  You need a guide to life?  Look no further than to the only Muppet who looks like it could teach you a thing or two in bed.  Bitch is fierce.

Vad gör man när man blir bortglömd? Ska man bli arg, ledsen eller helt enkelt inte bry sig?
Idag har jag både blivit arg och ledsen för att nu inte längre veta vad jag ska tro tycka eller tänka om saken.
Hur skulle du känna om någon glömde bort dig? Vart går gränsen för att det är okej att glömma bort eller bara vara nonchalant?
Min kille lovade mig en dag att han skulle väcka mig på morgonen men glömde bort det. Det är ingen stor sak men jag blev ändå ledsen. Senare kunde jag ju naturligtvis tänka att det är ju inte hela världen för det är ju en sådan liten sak. Men idag kunde jag inte det.
Har varit på sjukhuset för en gastroskopi undersökning. Har varit så otroligt nervös inför den och verkligen behövt mycket stöd. Eftersom killen skulle ner till sin skola och lägenhet 60 mil bort och mina föräldrar är i Stockholm fick lillsyrran följa med och hålla mig i handen. Dock har mina föräldrar pratat och stöttat mig både före och efter.
Men inte den person jag helst av allt ville ha stöd från. Pratade med honom igår om dittan och dattan men imorse när jag vaknade var jag urnervös och ringde till honom. Inget svar. Jag ringde till mina föräldrar och pratade av mig lite istället. Tänkte att han troligtvis hade ett möte och skulle vara anträffbar senare. Klockan är nu över sex på kvällen och jag har fortfarande inte hört något av honom. Jag försökte i tre timmar innan undersökningen att få tag i honom, för han vet alltid det rätta att säga, men utan resultat. Jag gav upp och skickade ett sms istället där jag förklarade att jag var ledsen över att jag inte fått tag i honom trots att han visste vilken dag det var.

Ställer jag för höga krav eller är jag för känslig? Jag vet faktiskt inte men jag känner mig ändå grymt sviken.
