As with most things this year, this first installment of my favourite albums of 2009 is a few days late. Last year, I posted one of these every Friday until the last week of the year. Of course I was also basically unemployed. I will try my hardest to post the remaining four installments on time. I only recently realized that it was also the end of the decade, and after having a mini panic attack, I’ve decided that I will only do a top albums of the decade list if I feel like it.

If you were with me for this last year, you’ll recall I tried to run down the main album releases throughout the year while writing a blurb on each of eight albums for each post in the countdown. By the time I hit my top eight records, the blurbs are a bit larger and I’m usually kicking myself about missing something out or wanting to change the order slightly. And probably the most difficult installments to create are the first couple – my very favourite albums seldom change, but I tend to shuffle around the lesser ones as my mood shifts its fickle little feet. I also include one runner-up to the list in each installment, so make sure you scroll right to the bottom. Feel free to criticize or let me know what your favourite albums of 2009 are.

The last year of the noughties began with a few notable releases in January, including albums from John Frusciante, Bruce Springsteen, Franz Ferdinand, White Lies, Stuck in the Sound, Andrew Bird, and It Hugs Back along with a slew of ampersand bands like Matt & Kim, Antony & the Johnsons and Ruby Jean & the Thoughtful Bees. Animal Collective’s critically acclaimed Merriweather Post Pavilion also released to the slavering jaws of indie hipsters everywhere. February saw the return of the Mozfather and the less exciting return of Lily Allen. It also featured releases from Jessie Evans, The Joy Formidable, David Shane Smith, Yuksek, Gentleman Reg, and another solo turn by Robyn Hitchcock. The unfortunate dog vomit that is the sophomore record from The Fray was balanced out by the raved-about-C86-throwback The Pains of Being Pure at Heart.

40. Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix – Phoenix
It’s a tad ambitious inserting your band’s name where Mozart’s should be, but high on their increasing visibility through 2006’s It’s Never Been Like That and its accompanying hit Marie Antoinette-assoicated single Consolation Prizes, Phoenix went right ahead. Judging by the opening two tracks, Lisztomania and 1901, you’d think the French band was going to continue squarely on the path of Consolation Prizes, eschewing the loungier end of their retro pop for frothy powder wigs of song; then something rather more interesting happens by track four, Love Like a Sunset Pt. 1. It is also unfortunately where some critics seemed to fall out of love with the record as the music builds through buzzing and bubbling electronic textures to some vocals by the time you hit the considerably shorter Love Like a Sunset Pt. 2. And perhaps the record seems a bit disjointed in spots because Thomas Mars and Co decided to use Eno’s Oblique Strategies. Even if I don’t love every track on this album, it does prove that Phoenix is at least thinking about different ways of being pop.

39. Through Fire – Twiggy Frostbite
Last year, I included Swedish band, The Deer Tracks, in my Top 40, and this year, it’s Twiggy Frostbite, which shares both sound and members with The Deer Tracks. That same vocal which defined the whispering tenderness of The Deer Tracks is present here, as ephemeral as a light puff of throat-warmed breath melting frost on the windowpane. The music itself descends like a feathery snowfall, sending droplets of purified sound into your ears; it is both spare and expansive, filling emptiness you never knew was there.

38. The Empyrean – John Frusciante
The Red Hot Chili Peppers have always just been incidental in my life – I’ve heard them on the radio since I was a child and never really gave them much more thought, let alone any solo projects which ensued. I now realize how mistaken I was to dismiss former guitarist/songwriter John Frusciante, especially since I’m only just taking notice at solo album number ten. The album title itself can be defined as “highest heaven” and “the pure element of fire,” and there is something definitely ethereal about the strains of mournful virtuoso guitar, bouncing and wavering like dying stars gasping their last celestial, dusty breath. At the same time, there’s a steady burn of psychedelic jamming, and Frusciante’s vocals hover around the edges of sound like a satellite broadcast or as though sung through a cellophane envelope of ozone. A couple of the tracks on the record even feature Johnny Marr. One of my favourite songs on this record is the opening track, Before the Beginning, which is epic and anthemic just by using electric guitar and slow, minimal drums. His version of Tim Buckley’s Song to the Siren is also androgynously beautiful, strong and fragile. Like the soundtrack to the birth of the cosmos, this album surprised me in wonderful ways.

37. Travels With Myself and Another – Future of the Left
Rising from the angry ashes of Welsh band Mclusky, Future of the Left has crept in and out of my music playlists for the last couple of years. With the release of this second album, I’ve taken far more notice, and felt comforted after the unfortunate dissipation of Mclusky. This sophomore album is full of snarling, punk jabs and augmented by rather expansive banks of melodic guitar. The relentless melody grinds against the raw vocals and short bursts of Gang of Four-like minimalism, creating a less predictable sort of noise rock. Bloodied screams punch through lyrics about existential angst, religion, economic realities, drunkeness, and the random meaninglessness of events, scattering myths and mores in its wake. This album is like punk music for the dramatic, but with a pitch-perfect sense of satirical humour.

36. Nonsense in the Dark – The Filthy Dukes
This London-based synthpop band pretty much came out of nowhere for me earlier this year, eventually even going on to mix their own FabricLive record. Nonsense in the Dark then went on to entrap me in some of the sweetest electro melodies and beats that I’ve heard this year. The track This Rhythm is one of my favourite songs of the year, and the rest of the album keeps the momentum going with Tron-like precision. There is definitely a whiff of the 80s about this record in its often New Romantic-like vocals and robot disco sound, but it isn’t forced; these songs were expertly handcrafted for dance. Even the slower numbers like the title track retain a pop sensibility as alluring as a sweep of ultraviolet mascara. And one of my favourite artists, frYars, makes a guest vocal appearance on Poison the Ivy.

35. Yes – Pet Shop Boys
It was a happy technicolour day (with ironic cloud cover) when Tennant and Lowe came back with their tenth studio album after three years (read my review here). While it could be argued that the duo had lost some of their spark over the past few albums, Yes showed that they have kept their ascerbic, urbane commentary as memorable as their music. Whether observing the trainwreck that was Pete Doherty and Kate Moss (Pandemonium) or dissecting fame and wealth more generally (Love Etc., Beautiful People), they proved that they could still create music with icy distance and gloriously brilliant flourishes while questioning how a concept like love fits into our wireless new world. Testing the shiny surfaces of this decade, they hit their targets time after time, their bows as arched as an eyebrow.

34. xx - The xx
I admittedly came late to the xx party, not bothering with listening to the album until this month. As much as their cryptic name suggests, they lurked about my periphery for several months, topping the Hype Machine for days at a time. I then discovered that this low key, dreamy record was poignant in its chiming guitars, clipped xylophone and prominent kicks of bass. The vocals from Romy Madley Croft and Oliver Sims are aloof yet soulful, a duet of hushed pains and pleasures. It’s a subdued record, but all the more powerful in its compressed containment. In Shelter, there’s a heartbreaking simplicity to the lines: “Maybe I had said, something that was wrong/can I make it better with the lights turned on?” xx is an album alive with subtext, begging to be uncovered.

33. Temporary Pleasure – Simian Mobile Disco
I’ve been a fan of Simian Mobile Disco for a few years now, and this sophomore album has reinforced my love for them. This time they’ve utilized a plethora of guest vocalists, including Gruff Rhys, Beth Ditto, Jamie Liddell, Alexis Taylor, and Yeasayer’s Chris Keating. All of these singers lend more than just their voices; there is a distinct shift in feel and genre despite the consistency of SMD’s electro backdrop complementing them. For example, Rhys’s song generates a psychedelic sheen, Ditto’s song turns into a soul disco number, Taylor’s track becomes an exotic sort of electro, inheriting some of Hot Chip’s flavour, and Keating’s Audacity of Huge takes a laundry list of materialism to a skittery arcade sound. The possible schizophrenia holds together brilliantly with the glassy beats rolling into one another like a silvery necklace shot through with lasers.

This installment’s honourable mention is God Help the Girl’s self-titled album. It’s an interesting release in that it’s basically an offshoot of Belle & Sebastian and that it’s a soundtrack to a musical film yet to be released. The 1960s French pop sound that Scottish bands like Belle & Sebastian and Camera Obscura have embraced is all over this album like a warm mustard-tinted sweater while focusing on a distinctly feminine set of vocals, including Catherine Ireton, Celia Garcia, Dina Bankole, Brittany Stallings, Asya, and Anna Miles. While Stuart Murdoch makes an appearance himself and also incorporates a guest vocal from Neil Hannon, this is a female-focused narrative as evident from the title itself. Filled with the off-kilter wit and retro tweeness that defines his regular band, Murdoch’s foray into musical films is off to a good start with this soundtrack.

En diciembre saldrá a la venta el disco “Christmas”, el mismo es un EP de cinco cortes.

Según informa el grupo británico en su página en internet, el álbum incluye una adaptación de “All over the world”, canción incluida en Yes, el último álbum del grupo.

El disco recoge dos versiones diferentes del clásico de Madness, “My girl”, y un tema que mezcla el “Viva la vida”, de Coldplay, con el “Domino Dancing”, de Pet Shop Boys.

Ha tardado un poquito porque venía desde Brasil vía Suiza, pero ya lo tengo, “Party” es un recopilatorio de Pet Shop Boys que se ha lanzado solo en Brasil para promocionar el Pandemonium Tour en su paso por allí. No trae nada que ya no tenga, pero mi capricho de coleccionista no ha podido resistirse a añadir un nuevo objeto a mi colección.

Así que ahora toca escucharlo de cabo a rabo como me gusta hacer con los discos que compro en cuanto los tengo y ponerlo en su estantería con el resto de mi colección. Ya solo me queda esperar la llegada de “Christmas” el EP que saldrá a la venta en Europa continental el 11 de Diciembre.

Wimbledon

Wimbledon es famosa por ser la sede de los prestigiosos campeonatos de tenis, pero con o sin tenis es un destino fantástico todo el año.

Greenwich

Edificios majestuosos, mercados atestados de gente, encantadores pubs a la vieja usanza y un incomparable ambiente náutico son los elementos que hacen de Greenwich uno de los lugares preferentes tanto de los londinenses como de los turistas. Haga una llegada espectacular en barca desde Westminster Pier para admirar el impresionante paisaje que se despliega ante el Old Royal Observatory, justo en el lugar por donde pasa el meridiano de Greenwich.

La atracción principal de Kew, sin duda alguna, son las 122 hectáreas de arbustos, árboles y flores de los Kew Gardens, los jardines públicos más completos del mundo. Kew, uno de los pueblos que integran el Gran Londres, dispone además de un campo de críquet en medio de una enorme extensión de hierba, algunos pubs excelentes y muchos restaurantes elegantes recién inaugurados.

South Bank

La orilla sur (South Bank) del río Támesis es una visita obligada. En ella se encuentran algunas de las atracciones más populares de Londres, como por ejemplo el BA London Eye (la noria gigante) y la Tate Modern, sin olvidarnos de South Bank, el complejo artístico más grande de Europa.

Notting Hill

Si estamos de acuerdo en que Londres es una ciudad a la última, Notting Hill es en buena parte la responsable de este mérito. La zona está llena a rebosar de tiendas ultramodernas, sofisticados restaurantes y bares elegantes. Además es el lugar de… ¡la película que protagonizan Hugh Grant y Julia Roberts!

Richmond-upon-Thames, uno de los vecindarios más atractivos de Londres, ha sido durante siglos el lugar de descanso preferente de la realeza, los ricos y los famosos.

The West End

El West End, vibrante y bullicioso, rebosante de vida… Londres es una de las ciudades más estimulantes del mundo, y el West End es su auténtico corazón. Éste es el sitio donde salir de compras, ir a comer o disfrutar de un buen espectáculo. Aquí encontrará todo lo que necesita, ya sean clubes nocturnos o restaurantes de cinco tenedores. Existe una canción de los conocidos Pet Shop Boys que lleva este nombre.

Ποτέ δεν ήμουν οπαδός, αλλά έχουν μερικά πολύ δυνατά κομμάτια, και στην τελική τους προτιμώ από τους New Order. Συνεκτιμώντας ότι είναι πάνω από 20 χρόνια στην πιάτσα, ότι έχουν καλό budget, ότι έχουν πολλά τραγούδια για καλό setlist, και ότι τι διάολο, θα ξέρουν να κάνουν συναυλίες όπως όλα τα μεγάλα συγκροτήματα, αποφάσισα χωρίς να το πολυψάξω να σκάσω το 45άρι και να πάω.
Τι περίμενα; Άψογο ήχο (πλέον είναι εφικτό αυτό και στην Ελλάδα, βλ AC/DC, ZZ Top), καλό θέαμα όσον αφορά τη σκηνοθεσία κτλ και το βασικότερο μια πιο beat-άτη, χορευτική, up-tempo, σκληρή, ανεβαστική εκτέλεση των κομματιών. Καμία απαίτηση για πραγματικό live με πειραματισμούς κτλ δεν είχα.
Τι είδα; Άψογο show πάνω στην σκηνή, αλλά με χάλια ήχο χωρίς ένταση και με πολύ ηχώ στο μπάσο και το χειρότερο, τελείως ψόφιες εκτελέσεις των τραγουδιών, λες και ακούς το CD. Περίμενα κάτι καλύτερο. Μάπα το καρπούζι. Απογοήτευση. Ο κόσμος βέβαια έδειχνε να περνάει καλά, αλλά δεν γνωρίζω τι βιώματα και πόσο πρόσφατα είχαν οι περισσότεροι από τους θεατές από συναυλίες ώστε να έχουν μέτρο σύγκρισης.
Στο καπάκι λοιπόν βουρ για Wailers στο Fuzz, μπας και σώσουμε τη βραδιά. Απαράδεκτες οι τιμές των ποτών στο Fuzz (6 χούρος η μικρή μπύρα!!) αλλά τουλάχιστον η συναυλία ήταν αξιοπρεπέστατη. Το μετάνιωσα που πήγα Pet Shop Boys και όχι από την αρχή στους Easy Stars/Wailers. ΝΑΙ
Από την άλλη όμως, τι Αθήνα, τι Νέα Υόρκη. Την ίδια μέρα 2 live από συγκροτήματα αυτού του βεληνεκούς! Γαμώκ!

Επίσης ένα μεγάλο «Είστε Καραγκιόζηδες» στο avopolis. Το ότι σπονσοράριζε τη συναυλία των PSB ήταν προφανές και όχι απαραίτητα κακό. Αλλά να μην αναφέρει ΠΟΥΘΕΝΑ για τη συναυλία των Wailers/Easy Star All Star που γινόταν την ίδια μέρα, είναι απαράδεκτο, αντιεπαγγελματικό και άκρως ελληνικό. Μη και χάσουν κανά πελάτη; Κάπως έτσι. Πολύ φτηνό όμως….

Υ.Γ. ΦΕΡΤΕ ΤΟΥΣ LYNYRD SKYNYRD ΣΤΗΝ ΕΛΛΑΔΑ

Μπράβο στο NewsIt.gr (το νέο portal του Ευαγγελάτου) που βρέθηκε στην συναυλία των Pet Shop Boys και “μετέδωσε” ότι συνέβαινε εκεί με φωτογραφίες και videos… πριν και κατά τη διάρκεια της συναυλίας.

Απορίες:

1. τα videos ήταν 15″ λόγο νομικών θεμάτων ή λόγο τεχνικών θεμάτων;
2. γιατί δεν αναφέρει το “άρθρο” τον συντάκτη;

Diciembre es el último mes del año, llegan las navidades y todos estamos de celebración. Celebramos una despedida, la del año que muere para dar paso a un nuevo periodo de esperanzas e ilusiones. Sin embargo, igual que unos mueren, otros nacen y este mes no solo vamos a despedirnos de grandes cosas, sino que vamos a dar la bienvenida a muchos proyectos que vuelven a casa por Navidad.

Comencemos con el repaso por la música que se lanzarán en Diciembre (probablemente, alguno encuentre un lugar en los zapatos del día 6 de Enero).

1. Rolling Stones. Conmemorando el 40 aniversario de los conciertos que el grupo ofreció en noviembre de 1969 en el Madison Square Garden de Nueva York, Abkco y Universal publican “Get Yer Ya-Ya’s Out! The Rolling Stones In Concert  – 40 Aniversario Deluxe Box Set” y “Super Deluxe Box Set” el 1 de diciembre.

2. Alicia Keys. Con 12 Grammys en su vientre, “The element of Freedom” llega el 15 de diciembre. Un disco que se lanza con dos semanas de retraso ya que la artista ha querido incluir nuevas canciones que estaba terminando de componer.

3. Thalía. Tras una mala época para la artista, llega“Primera Fila” (“Front Row”). Un disco compuesto por 13 canciones que tiene previsto ver la luz el 10 de Diciembre. Ya conoces algunas canciones de este nuevo trabajo como “Equivocada”.

4. Julian Casablanca. El 18 de diciembre, el cantante de los Strokes lanzará una edición de lujo de su disco debut, “Phrazes for the Young”, una caja de diseño antiguo que contiene un CD con el álbum, otro con maquetas y caras B, un DVD con interpretaciones en acústico. Además, lanza el 21 de Diciembre una edición limitada de un single navideño que contendrá una versión de ‘SNL’ (un villancico cómico del programa televisivo “Saturday Night Live”).

5. Nino Bravo. Cerca de cumplirse los 40 años del fallecimiento del cantante, los mejores artistas del pop español se reúnen para hacerle un homenaje en “El homenaje definitivo” que saldrá a la venta el 1 de Diciembre.

6. George Michael. El próximo 13 de diciembre lanzará al mercado su canción navideña “December Song” (la que el año pasado era gratis en la red, ahora se prepara para soporte físico). Además, lanza su primer DVD en vivo el 7 de diciembre “Live In London” que tendrá 23 canciones grabadas durante conciertos en el Earls Court Arena de Londres.

7. Neil Young. “Dreamin’ Man’ – Live ‘92” debió salir en Noviembre, pero el lanzamiento se ha visto retrasado al 8 de Diciembre. Este trabajo es la nueva entrega de los  “Archives Performance Series” de Neil Young y  fue un álbum grabado en 1992 durante la gira de presentación de “Harvest Moon”.

8. Fangoria. “Completamente” es la reedición de “Absolutamente” en el que encontraremos colaboraciones como la de Sara Montiel en la canción que lleva el mismo nombre del álbum anterior.

9. Los Beatles. Por fin llegan en formato digital para PC y Mac. El 7 de diciembre se podrá adquirir una memoria USB de 16 GB con la edición remasterizada de su discografía. En él encontrarás las versiones estéreo de los álbumes, 13 minidocumentales (incluidos también en la edición CD), los diseños de cubiertas originales, textos y fotografías.

10. Pet Shop Boys. Cinco canciones saldrán el próximo día 14 de diciembre en un EP que se llamará “Christmas”. Incluye nuevas versiones de “It Doesn’t Often Snow At Christmas”, “All Over The World” y “My Girl”. Estará disponible en formato físico y en descarga digital.

Although the news of the gruesome murder of a Jorge Steven Lopez Mercado, a cross-dressing Puerto Rican teenager — seen as a test of new hate-crimes laws in the United States — received extensive attention in both the Latino/a and gay media, the Latin American press gave more coverage to the upcoming nuptuals of José María De Bello and Alex Freyre, scheduled for the first of December in Buenos Aires.

De Bello and Freyre will be the first legally married same-sex couple in SOUTH America, although not in Latin America.  Coahuila state in northern Mexico has had same-sex marriages since Civil Registar Civil Registrar Alberto Villareal of Saltillo issued a marriage license to Karla López and Karina Almaguer on the first of Februrary, 2007.

It appears that marriages in Coahuila are legal anywhere in Mexico, making de facto same-sex marriages legal, and there haven’t been any problems or really any news about this since then.  If the Federal District — which had already passed a bill granting limited rights to same-gender couples (Sociedades de convivencia) came into effect the month after Coahuila’s marriage law — also, as expected, passes a full marriage law, there will probably be a push-back by the Federal legislature, as there has been in the Dominican Republic, which changed its constitution to read like that in some U.S. states, defining marriage as between “one man and one woman”.

The Dominican Republic, of course, has always taken its cues from the Colossus of the North, and Puerto Rico is under the United States flag.  Mexico’s was the first to change its constitution to specifically mention rights for sexual minorities, and as constitutions have been amended throughout Latin America, rights are slowly being given legal recognition.

An  article in the February 2009 Foreign Policy argues that Latin American gays — being in nations not traditionally Protestant (as is the United States) nor Islamic (Guyana, which is 12 percent Muslim, being the only place in the Americas where Islamic tradition plays any role in political discourse), are more likely to achieve social equality than elsewhere:

What explains the great Latin American awakening? Among the obvious answers is regime change: It helps that the region is no longer authoritarian, because gay rights rarely expand under such conditions. It also helps that the region is solidly urbanized and that Latin American cities are becoming more globalized and richer; gay life thrives in wealthy, cosmopolitan cities. It helps that the region is not Muslim or predominantly Protestant, because countries where these religions dominate — for example Arab or Anglo-Caribbean countries — tend to have the least gay-friendly legislation.

It also helps that gays and lesbians — being de facto outsiders — were prominent in human rights and democratic change movements in Latin America, and in the countries where there were recent organized struggles to achieve change — Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Brazil, Ecuador, Venezuela — those now in control of government “dance with thems that brung ‘em” as the late Molly Ivins would say.

What’s considered “gay culture” is largely an urban phenomenon, though of course, gays and lesbians are everywhere.  Still, urbanization and gay rights seem to go hand in hand, and the more urban the population, the more likely governments are to legally recognize gay rights.  Within Mexico, it’s the Federal District (Mexico City) where gays have the most political clout (the first openly lesbian deputy was Patricia Jimenez, a PRD suppliente, appointed to her seat basically as a gesture for the organized gay and lesbian support of Cuauhtemoc Cardenas’ campaign for District Governor in 1992), and PRD controlled states (except Coahuila) where equal rights legislation has advanced the furthest.

One oddball statistic used to measure the growing political and social clout (and tolerance) for gays and lesbians is a count of the number of businesses which openly solicit business from sexual minorities per thousand inhabitants.  By that measure, Quito and Montevideo are more “gay friendly” than New York City!

Though, “He’s a Montevideo Boy” just doesn’t scan right.

По едно време Аспарух се опитваше да участва в едни мемета – верижни игри въпросници, които блогърите си разменят най-вече със SEO цел и за повишаване на Гугъл пейдж ранка им, но в които понякога има и полезен или забавен елемент.

На два пъти се опита да включи и мен, обаче… Аз като получа някаква такава игра запитване и сядам да мисля… което трае около 3 месеца, а резултатът от него е, че отговорът губи всякакъв смисъл. Така де, стресът трябва да се унищожава, както казваше една друга легенда, която също има блог, но е толкова ъндърграунд, че сигурно и той сам не му знае URL-то. Радо, Шарапанов, Емзеперикс, обади се, бе!

Но да се върнем на въпроса. Ей сега ще изненадам Аспарух като му отговоря на нещо, за което не ме е питал:)

Тези дни Аспарух пусна един такъв постинг, след който на човек му остава единствено да се самоубие. Но нали не са минали 3 месеца, още мисля по въпроса как да му помогна (ъъъ, не да се самоубие, а обратното… тоест, разбирате ме… всъщност разберете ме правилно, де… добре, добре).

Днес, гледам, пуснал друг – в който пък доказва безспорно по научен метод невъзможността да има любов, особено истинска такава.

Какво да кажа? С науката не се спори. Освен ако не си Симеон Дянков, разбира се. Щом няма – значи няма (истинска любов). Всичко е логически правилно, перфектно мотивирано и аргументирано – няма любов и това е.

Така да е.

Ама аз като феодален старец, изкушен от нАуката, се сещам за една дребен проблем. Чували ли сте мита за Ахил и костенурката?

Древногръцкият философ Зенон се обзаложил, че може да докаже, че Ахил, който е 10 пъти по-бърз от костенурката, никога няма да може да я настигне, ако й дадем примерно 100 метра преднина. И го доказал!

В оригинал историята е малко по-различна, но към днешна дата се разпространява предимно в този си вид:

Костенурката има 100 метра преднина. Давате старт и Ахил пробягва тези 100 метра. Добре, обаче за това време костенурката се е придвижила с още 10 метра. Ахил пробягва и тези 10 метра. Но за това време костенурката се е придвижила  с още 1 метър. Ахил минава и него. Но за това време костенурката отново се е придвижила напред! От математическа гледна точка Ахил никога няма да може да настигне тази костенурка – докато той измине дистанцията, която ги разделя, тя вече е взела нова, макар и все по-малка преднина. Математически (научно) погледнато, Ахил ще я гони вечно, без да я стигне никога.

В живота обаче Ахил настига въпросната костенурка и то за няма 15-20 секунди. Той просто е войн, а не учен. Съответно е учен (ето че пак се обърках, мамка му!) да настига, задминава и побеждава костенурки и други воини, а не да доказва математически, че това е невъзможно.

Та и на Аспарух работата му е такава. Вместо да доказваме, че истинска любов не съществува, по-добре да я потърсим – пък макар и не дотам истинска. Ние сме мъже, сурово възпитани – на нас често и един гол секс ни стига, простете!

Аз, разбира се, не мога да докажа, че истинска любов съществува. Но ми стига тази награда, че в момента й се радвам. И да ви кажа – е ебати кефа! Без майтап – много е яко:)

Както казваше един друг мой идол – Курт Хаунещайн – “stop talking about love, love is the one thing you have to do”!

И тъй като исках да помогна, но подозирам, че след този ми опит за помощ Аспарух все пак окончателно, макар и погрешно може да осъзнае предимствата на самоубийството, то искам да завърша оптимистично. Исках да е с Before (заради текста, потърсете го), ама тя е забранена за БГ в Тубата, има я само във Vbox-а. Затова ще е с тази горе.

Αρχιζω και ανησυχω. Οι συναυλιες-απωθημενα αρχιζουν και στερευουν. Και μετα ΤΙ?

Την πρωτη φορα τους εχασα και δεν σκοπευω να κανω το ιδιο λαθος.

Και αυτη την φορα απαρτια με τους BLT και ολα τα παρελκομενα.. ας ελπιζουμε δεν θα αρρωστησει ο Neil η δεν θα βρεχει καρεκλοποδαρα (ακους μαυρη γατα?).

Der oben beigefügte Song heißt “Beautiful People”, ist die aktuelle Singe der Pet Shop Boys und hier eigentlich nur der Vollständigkeit halber aufgeführt; ich bin kein großer Fan der Band und kann auch mit dem Song nicht viel anfangen. Auf die Nachricht, dass die Pet Shop Boys am 14. Dezember eine 5-Track-EP mit dem (sehr einfallsreichen) Titel “Christmas” veröffentlichen, bin ich eigentlich nur durch folgendes Video gekommen, das ein fabelhaftes Live-Medley aus “Domino Dancing” und dem Coldplay-Song “Viva La Vida” zeigt, das auch auf der EP enthalten sein wird. Schöne Sache!

Μην μου πείτε ότι δεν αντιπροσωπεύει όλους μας αυτό κομμάτι!!!! Και με αφορμή την συναυλία τους στην Αθήνα σε δύο μερούλες και στην Σαλονίκη σε τρεις, είπα να σας θυμίσω ότι όλοι έχουμε την αμαρτία στο αίμα μας! ; ) Α, και όταν δείτε τους στίχους και ξανακούσετε για χιλιοεκατομμυριοστή φορά το τραγούδι, πείτε μου μετά τι στο καλό είναι αμαρτία…???

Nu ska ni få höra en av dom finaste låtarna jag vet, just nu, och en alldeles särskild video som är speciell på alla möjliga sätt.

Los Pet Shop Boys no paran, no solo porque continúa el Pandemonium Tour que se reanuda en Grecia y culminará el 21 de Diciembre en el O2 arena de Londres si no porque salen a la luz mas proyectos.

El primero es la nueva apariencia de la web del grupo, desde el principio han confiado en internet como medio para difundir su música y siempre han cuidado su presencia en la red. La página anterior me gustaba, pero es verdad que con la nueva está todo mas a la vista e invita mas a cacharrear y explorar que la anterior. De un modo u otro sigue siendo una de mis favoritas claro está.

La que llega después y mas importante porque de música se trata es la salida el 14 de Diciembre de “Christmas” un EP con cinco canciones que me parecen interesantes aunque sean basicamente nuevas versiones de canciones ya conocidas del grupo mas la versión del “Viva la vida” de Coldplay mezclado con “Domino dancing” que está presente en el repertorio de su última gira.
