สาวงามสุดเซ็กซี่ ที่กำลังมีผลงานอันสบายตา Alice in Wonderland ที่สร้างมาจากการ์ตูน ชื่อว่า แอนน์ ฮาธาเวย์ ที่ได้ลือมาวันนี้ ว่าเธอจะมีบทบาทในหนัง Spider-Man 4 แล้วเธอจะเล่นเป็นใครล่ะ? โดย จูเลีย สไตล์ส นั้น ที่ได้ลือมาเมื่อวาน ก็ลือกันว่าจะเป็น Black Cat ซึ่งตัวแทนของ Deadline Hollywood นิคกี้ ฟิงค์ ได้ปล่อยบทความพิเศษของ แอนน์ ฮาธาเวย์ เธอนั้น ได้บอกว่า

“เธอเป็นที่ต้องการสำหรับบทบาทนี้ และเธอไม่ได้มาแทนที่ เคิร์สเทน ดันสต์“

แน่นอนอยู่แล้วครับ ว่าเธอคงไม่มาแทนที่นางเอกคนเดิมอยู่แล้ว แต่จะเป็นไปได้หรือไม่ ที่เธอจะเล่นเป็นแมวเหมียว Black Cat ถึงแม้ว่า จะลือถึงจูเลีย ไปแล้ว แต่ก็ยังไม่มีการยืนยันอย่างแน่ชัด ซึ่งผมว่า หน้าตาของ แอนน์ นั้น ก็เข้าเค้ากับแมวพันธุ์มวลขนดำอยู่เยอะ ผมลองจินตนาการดู ก็พบว่า “มันใช่!”

ตัวละคร Black Cat เป็นตัวละครสำคัญตัวหนึ่ง ที่เปลี่ยนแปลงชีวิตของ ปีเตอร์ ปาร์คเกอร์ หรือ Spider-Man (โทบี้ แม็คไกวร์)ไปอย่างมากทีเดียว เพราะเธอเป็น “เมียน้อย!” แต่ยังไม่แน่หรอกครับ ถ้ามีจริงๆ ตัวหนังอาจลดความรุนแรงทางเพศลง! หรืออาจเปลี่ยนเนื้อเรื่องให้ผิดเพี้ยนไปอยู่เยอะ ก็เพื่อให้คนดูนั้น ดูได้หลายวัยน่ะครับ

ถึงแม้ว่ายังไม่มีการยืนยันมา แต่แหล่งข่าวนี้ เป็นแหล่งที่เชื่อถือได้มาก เราอาจจะได้พบความจริง หรือจุดไคลแมกซ์ของข่าวคราว Black Cat นี้ อีกไม่นาน ถ้าทางค่ายโซนี่ เห็นใจแฟนๆ สไปดี้ ประเด็นก็เริ่มเข้าสู่ความจริง เธอจะเป็น Black Cat ที่สุดยอดใช่มั้ย!?

Spider-Man 4 กำหนดฉาย (สหรัฐ) 5 พฤษภาคม 2011 ครับ

No hace mucho les comente sobre el rumor de la gata negra como villana en Spiderman 4 lo cual parece ser cierto aúnque no sera con la actriz Rachel Mcadams, pues hoy ha salido un nuevo rumor por parte de spoilertv, ellos comentan que se esta realizando un casting para encontrar un niño el cual sera utilizado en la trama de la pelicula.

“niño de 2 o 3 años para interpretar a un niño de 2 años, caucasiano y pelirrojo, con personalidad cautivadora. Preferiblemente experiencia en rodajes. Solo gemelos identicos”.

Hay tienen el ultimo rumor de esta pelicula, como sabran ya se están haciendo muchos comentarios entre los fans del hombre araña, como por ejemplo si Peter tendra un hijo, si dicho niño tendra parte importante en la saga. Solo puedo decir que esperen a que salga la pelicula y dejen de deducir tanto!!!

Ya que todavía no había tocado el tema y ha surgido mucho material sobre ello, vamos hacer un remix de las noticias salidas hasta la fecha sobre el futuro de la saga arácnida. Sabemos que Sam Raimi, Tobey Maguire, Kristen Dunst, J.K. Simons y  Dylan Baker están de vuelta para reinterpretar sus respectivos roles. Se sabe también que el mítico Bruce Campbell, que ya protagonizo diversos cameos en las tres películas anteriores, tendrá un papel con mayor protagonismo en esta nueva película sobre Spider-man. Sabemos también, por las recientes declaraciones de Raimi, primero que esperan comenzar con el rodaje en Marzo del 2010, y segundo, que el personaje volverá a los orígenes de las primeras entregas en las que solo había un villano.

Hasta aquí todo oficial. Ahora bien, un tema que siempre da mucho juego en este tipo de películas es especular sobre el/los villano/s que hará/n frente al protagonista. Con las declaraciones de Bruce Campbell hablando sobre un rol más importante en “Spider-man 4″, la gente comenta que podría encarnar a Mysterio, puesto que ya se generó una gran rumorología con este tema cuando “Spider-man 3” se encontraba en pleno desarrollo.

Otro villano que toma fuerza es el Lagarto. Personalmente creo que esta seria la opción mas lógica tras habernos presentado al Dr. Curt Connors en los dos últimos títulos y dejándonos pistas sobre sus investigaciones y conociendo todos como terminará el manco Doctor.

Pero ahora nos llegan nuevos rumores sobre un posible cast para interpretar a Felicia Hardy, es decir, a la Gata Negra. Dos actrices han saltado a la palestra como posibles candidatas para encarnar al personaje, Rachel McAdams y Romola Garai. La primera ya ha desmentido la noticia, y de la segunda no sabemos nada.

Y para cerrar el post, un anuncio oficial sobre un casting para el que se requieren gemelos exactos, de 2 o 3 años para interpretar a un niño de 2, y que sean pelirrojos. Muchos ya oyen los gritos del Carnage de Cletus Kasady en un posible flashbacks del personaje y otros se echan las manos a la cabeza al haber posibilidades de que Peter Parker tenga un hijo en la cuarta, que no ultima, entrega de El Hombre Araña.

O Spoiler TV teve acesso a uma lista de convocação de personagens para o elenco de Homem Aranha 4. O que chamou atenção nessa lista, é que Sam Raimi está procurando por um bebê na faixa de 2 anos, caucasiano, personalidade cativante e ruivo!

Claro que com essa novidade a primeira e mais óbvia conclusão é que Mary Jane (Kirsten Dunst) e Peter Parker (Tobey Maguire) terão um filho no filme. Agora como a criança vai ser colocada na trama já é alvo de muitas especulações.

O mais provável e que teria mais sentido, é que a criança aparecesse talvez em uma visão do futuro com o casal tendo o tal filho ruivo. Realmente não teria lógica nenhuma colocar uma criança no meio da história nesse momento. Depois do fraco terceiro filme, Sam Raimi tem que se preocupar em fazer um filme atrativo e que consiga atrair o público, não em tornar a franquia em um filme para família.

Homem Aranha 4 começa a ser filmado em março do ano que vem e chega aos cinemas em 6 de maio de 2011.

I never expected to be reviewing–much less BUYING–an issue of this title given the current status quo. I’m one of those who has zero interest in the current Spider-Man post-One-More-Day. That I bought this issue at all is high praise to the draw of Deadpool. And, as I’d hoped…this felt more like a Deadpool title than Spider-Man.

The issue opens with Deadpool amidst a bunch of mostly recognizeable Marvel Women taking a phone call about a new job. Of course, this plays out in typical Deadpool-fashion and manages to reference/poke fun at a couple notable points of Spider-Man comics the last couple years. Even the “Previously Page” is given some hokiness, breaking the “fourth wall” having the Marvel EIC and other editors give the situation-so-far. We then quickly move into seeing Spider-Man in action against Lady Stilt-Man and all the ridiculousness one can imagine. Deadpool steps in and he and Spidey fight (though the fight devolves to juvenile “yo mamma” trade-offs). Finally, Deadpool attains his goal, and the scene shifts to show us the real purpose of Deadpool taking on Spidey, with a fairly major character now lying dead, as this title heads into something called “The Gauntlet.”

I’m not familiar with the artist…and honestly, this issue did absolute zero to make me want to get familiar. The style is rather stylistic…but really does not at all fit what I’d expect of something with Deadpool (or Spider-Man, for that matter). If I wasn’t 1. so stoked about Deadpool as written by Joe Kelly and/or 2. never bothered to look inside the issue before purchase, due to knowledge of Deadpool’s presence and the “regular” cover being the one I wanted*…I’d recommend against this for anyone but those already following and enjoying the title.

(* see how I’ll use the asterisk to note something? Sort like Deadpool and his “voices.” I specifically avoided a recent issue of Hulk that had Deadpool in it, due to the fact that the cover I wanted turned out to be a 1:200 or so ratioed-variant. I’d've avoided this issue had it been the same set-up.)

Where this issue succeeds is in feeling like a Deadpool story guest-starring Spider-Man. As I have zero interest in Spidey’s current status quo, this issue worked very well by not dealing with it in any focal manner. I recognize background characters–Madame Web, and Mattie in particular–and see how they provide a sort of “framing sequence” that marks this as a sort of “prologue” to The Gauntlet.

Where this issue fails is in establishing anything to bring me back next issue. This felt like a one-off, and though I’m mildly intrigued by what was set up here…I’m still not at all interested in actually investing in the next arc.

Deadpool fan? This is well worth picking up, if you don’t mind the art. Regular reader of The Amazing Spider-Man? This’ll probably be right up your alley and have more significance for you than me (not having touched a Spider-Man comic in close to two years).

Final thought: The cover is great. And yet realy has nothing to do with the issue. This is the sort of image that would make a great ad in that regard…and I daresay I’d buy a poster if they made one of this image.

Rocker Reeve Carney da vida a um dos protagonistas da Marvel Comics, o famoso Homem Aranha. Com 26 anos, o ator é vocalista de uma banda de Rock.

O musical conta a história do adolescente Peter Parker que acaba tendo sua vida virada de ponta-cabeça quando é mordido por uma aranha geneticamente modificada. No dia seguinte ele acorda com teias em seu corpo no teto de seu quarto. O estudante nerd descobre que tem poderes estranhos. Muito poder vem com muita responsabilidade, ele decide ajudar aqueles que não foram abençoados com esses poderes, enfrentando vilões a favor da sociedade.

Opinião pessoal: Sou super a favor de novos musicais na Broadway, mas já estou prevendo que esse será mais uma edição dos musicais baseados na tecnologia do que no talento dos atores (vide o musical O Senhor Dos Anéis). Sou fã do Fantasma, Miss Saigon, South Pacific, entre outros que surgiram numa época que a Broadway era realmente um teatro, e não uma casa de shows.

Es jueves, son las 6 de la madrugada y me encuentro en medio de la Galaxia  sentado con Leia Organa en un parquecito, en frente de su casa. La calle reposa tranquila y prácticamente reina el silencio. Esta zona cierra a las tres y media, pero hoy la poli hizo la vista gorda y permanecimos en Limonada Dream hasta las 5, así que llevamos una hora hablando de banalidades y riendo a gusto.
Ha sido el  día de los disfraces.  Esta noche llevo la segunda piel de Peter Parker alias trepamuros.
Quiero unir de alguna manera el universo de George Lucas y la Marvel, pero necesito la colaboración de la princesa. Insisto claramente sobre este punto, le sugiero que lo piense, pero ella tiene razón, de que serviría que lanzara telarañas a las Tropas de Asalto, sería ridículo. Con un beso en la mejilla me dice adiós y hace un gesto con el pulgar y el meñique, el clásico te llamaré.
Bueno, encaja perfectamente, elegí mal el disfraz. Amigo Peter, siempre fuiste demasiado humano, el superhéroe más vulnerable de todos.
A las chicas les vuelve loco Superman, pero el traje no me quedaba bien.

Tuesday we reported that rumors were circling the Internet about the possibility of the villain Black Cat appearing in Spiderman 4 as the new thorn in Peter Parker’s side. According to the reports, Rachel McAdams was eyeing a spot on the Spiderman 4 cast, and seemed a likely candidate.

Fantastic Four #1 is a comic I will likely never own unless I win the lottery, but its classic status ensures many a reprint, essential, omnibus, collection, digital download or trade. That’s the trouble with comics these days – it’s all too easy. But that’s another story and I digress. I first came into contact with this fantastic family back in 1972 in the pages of UK reprint comic The Mighty World of Marvel. That’s over ten years and four thousand miles it took to get from Stan and Jack’s original to me personally but it was worth the wait. What I am talking about? I was hardly waiting! I wasn’t even born when this comic came out – the following year the world became my oyster, but I’ll never know what 1961 felt like – whether it was particularly fantastic or not!

Within the pages of The Mighty World of Marvel I came across the Incredible Hulk, the Amazing Spider-man and the Fantastic Four. I liked all three for sure but it was the Fantastic foursome that tugged at my heartstrings most of all. I wonder why? The Hulk was kinda obvious (and the nature of his power seemed to change every five minutes too), Peter Parker made me feel manipulated (the put-down kid becomes the hero – not in my lifetime – I was almost completely cynical by the age of five), but the Fantastic Four had two massive attractions: A) they were a family and B) they WERE fantastic! I suppose the family thing was a bit of a security blanket myself being the timid sort, but the fate of Ben Grimm seemed much more sensible to me. The idea that you could somehow get great power – be a hero – and yet still have a heavy price to pay seemed somehow right – plausible – realistic. Spider-man might have had all the teenage angst but Ben had real tragedy. He remains my favourite character to date. Ben’s fate was also tied into the relationship with ‘the family’ – I suppose he was the grouchy but well-loved uncle. He had a ways wid da words too.

The individual powers didn’t really matter that much to be honest. Invisibility -mleh! Stretchy bendy shenanigans – okay! Flaming flim-flamery – not cool (at least not until we got the classic Torch look – you know, with the LINES!) No, Benjamin J Grimm was the one. And he was the ugly one. And yet he still had family. Aw! Shucks.

You can see the cover above and you’ll notice that the Thing looks like the brick guy we all know and love – inside he was still lumpy – I don’t know whether Marvel really gave a damn as long as they were selling comics, but it was confusing for us British kids until we discovered the genuine article! I might actually have seen the previous Marvel reprints in Pow, Smash or Terrific but I honestly can’t remember. At any rate this was the first time the Marvel universe came together to make sense to British kids. That, after all, would be the enduring legacy of everything that followed on to readers around the world – the fact that everything and everybody was somehow connected – and by extension that YOU were connected to something bigger …

Anyhow – the point of this blog? To say everything I ever wanted to say of course – while distracting you by filtering it all through the fabulous foursome. Where do we start? At the beginning. Next: Fantastic Four #1

Yes, True Believers (the few of you that remain), I am, despite erroneous and exaggerated rumors to the contrary, very much alive. Some of you have forgotten my secret identity (through no fault of mine) and have opted to believe in the demise of Superhero Throwdown—done and buried, abandoned to a blog wasteland—but that is not the case! Fear not, devoted ones, we are back and still standing.

Now, I could give you a long-winded and long winding explanation compiled of half truths and lies, but why bother? Would you really care? I think not! So, without further adieu, I post my latest offering, in the hopes of A Brand New Day.

P.S. If you are wondering what happened in the weeks following our last post on July 19, I say don’t ask and don’t tell—it is afterall, just One More Day. Plus, most of us, would prefer not to be visited by Mephisto.

Spidey is the Marvel iconic equivalent to DC’s Man of Steel and, therefore, you have to capture his ’spidey’-ness if you will. There must be grace, fluidity, power and an inhuman flexibility to his poses. These are just characteristics that any avid, self-respecting Superhero Throwdown combatant must bring to the arena.

So why was it a challenge? Well, much like my Superman, it has to do with environment and perspective. In theory, I understand perspective very well—it suits my logical half. In practice, however, there are unforeseen secrets that I have not uncovered in any guide. You are, afterall, limited to the page, and the vanishing points often exist beyond these boundaries. So how do you draw lines on the page to points that you need to place off the page?

What are vanishing points? They are the points that all linear building lines converge toward and disappear to off in the distance. Now, without getting into a detailed perspective tutorial (there are many web resources, here’s one),  here are the points you need to know as it relates to this sketch: lines vanish off to a right vanishing point and a left one as well. You, the viewer, are above and can see the rooftops of shorter buildings. My perspective isn’t perfect and though it adds to the overall drawing, it also isn’t completely right (I’ll leave you to figure that out for yourself).

Spidey not only has villans like the Green Goblin that plague him, but he has J. Jonah Jameson, the current mayor of New York City. If Jameson is a thorn in Spidey’s side then the Goblin is obviously the stake—or is it a H.A.M.M.E.R.? Eitherway, a typical day in the life of Peter Parker wouldn’t be complete without multiple problems. I chose to depict not only Spidey dodging pumpkin bombs, but having the ever present Mayor Jameson shown on a billboard.

The handdrawn Jameson type is a bit tricky. Admittedly not being a typographer, it looks off to me. Even though I tried to draw it in perspective, it seems to come forward and off the billboard as The Commish rightly pointed out. This could have been due to the dark outlines surrounding the letterforms, but probably has more to do with the letter shapes themselves. In today’s modern world, this would be cleaner if this was typeset on the computer. Additionally, much of the shading that I’ve done here to help with the overall composition would be separated better with digital color.

Overall, I like the way the composition works—the lights and dark values that permeate throughout the image. A good colorist would solve the problem area around Spidey’s head, where I’ve drawn his spidersense and it blends with the background a bit. I do like how Jameson’s billboard is flat on the building, but he seems to be glaring over at Spidey, saying: “You’re a menace to this city.”

Now for the man of the hour…Spider-man! Not having drawn Spidey in ages, I am quite pleased that I’ve captured him well in motion. I wanted to exaggerate the bend in his back a bit and actually had him leaning far more forward with his rib cage impossibly jutting out. Thanks to our other Superhero Throwdown combatant, Jay, for pointing out that it looked a bit strange. He was right! I took the rib cage in a bit more and simplified the shading so it didn’t look so unnatural.

Pobre Peter Parker despues de volverse famoso y casarse con Mary “Juana” comio como nunca y ya no era amenza . . . pero Mary “Juana” no lo aguanto y lo dejo. Peter dio un bajon de peso, y hasta fumador cronico se volvio. Hoy en dia, pasa sus ultimos dias cuidando autos, ya saben la crisis.

…pour savoir si le Dr Connors va enfin se tranformer en Lézard et si Mystério va balancer ses nuages du fumée sur grand écran, on peut toujours rigoler sur le trailer du téléfilm Spider-Man sorti dans les années 70, et sur le générique d’intro de la série japonaise consacrée au monte en l’air (qui nous apprend au passage que Peter Parker avait une moto, des accessoires high tech et un robot géant type Bioman). Ce qui me donne d’ailleurs envie de revoir les téléfilms Hulk avec Lou Ferrigno, et ses combats épiques avec Thor ou Daredevil. Allez c’est décidé, ce weekend c’est Marvel vintage, Tiger.

I was sitting in the common room to my pod today (4 rooms connect to one common room – making a pod), and the door to the common room for the next pod over opens.  In walks this little boy, whom I’m guessing was about three years old.  He was clearly related to one of the girls in the next pod – I knew they had family in town for Homecoming.

He walks in with his hand held out like Spider-man, so we asked him if he was Spider-man.  He told us he was, and then proceeded to explore the rooms in the pod.  Not knowing who he belonged to or what to do, one of the girls in my pod asked him his name.  “Peter”, he tells us.  (Shannon thought he said “Hayden”, but we determined he really said “Peter”). So, we have a conversation with Peter, and give him some candy.

Very shortly after this, we hear a call from the other room, “Mason!”.  And Peter turns in response.  A woman, clearly his mother walks in, and begins to speak to “Mason” about not wandering off.

“Wait”, we say. “He told us his name was Peter.”

“Yeah”, his mother responds. “Peter Parker. He thinks he’s Spider-man.”

Mason totally introduced himself to a group of strangers as a Superhero.

Not only did this kid pretend he was Spider-man,
or think he was Spider-man,
he introduced himself matter-of-factly
as the character who turns into Spider-man.

Awesome.

What happened to our childhood heart’s desire to be a superhero?

I hate to be cliche, but I really do think that God created each of us for great things. And I want to rekindle in my heart the desire to be a superhero, in the sort of way that rescues people from whatever is holding them down, suffocating them, overwhelming them, frightening them, drowning them.  I want to cultivate a servant heart and reach people at their deepest needs. It’s so easy to get caught up in myself that I lose sight of that beautiful longing to serve others.

While I want to be a superhero, I don’t need big stunts or flashy tricks.  Perhaps, the real superheros in our world are the people who love with all that they are from the depths of God’s love for them.  I want to be one of those people, and I want to change the world, starting right now with the people right here.
