French giant Peugeot is set to axe its trademark hard-top on a new cabriolet. An insider has revealed that a convertible version of the stunning RC Z is on the way – but it will shun a removable metal lid in favour of a lighter fabric roof. This is not going to be the next Peugeot 206. Dorset and every other county will see a New Peugeot.

At launch in early 2011, this petrol model will appear alongside a 163bhp 2.0 HDi diesel, giving 52.3mpg fuel economy and 139g/km emissions.

All versions will get a six-speed manual gearbox, with a six-ratio auto optional. I am very excited and might make this soft top my next car when it finally comes out.

RECLAMAÇÃO

VARIOS DEFEITOS – PESSIMOS SERVIÇOS E REPAROS – DESCASO

Realizei a compra em 02/09/2009 de um Peugeot 207 XR Sport HB na concessionária Aquitaine (Mooca) no valor de R$ 36.500,00, realizando depósito de R$ 19.500,00 e entregando um veículo semi-novo no valor de R$ 17.000,00.
No dia 25/09/2009 compareci a concessionária para retirada do veículo. No momento da entrega relatei o problema estético (DESALINHAMENTO DA TAMPA DO PORTA-MALAS, LADO ESQUERDO) à vendedora Roberta, que solicitou um esclarecimento do responsável da Oficina. O mesmo nos informou que tratava de simples reparo, agendando para a data de 30/09/2009 ás 10h00 o referido reparo.
No dia 30/09/2009 compareci a concessionária conforme combinado para que o tal reparo fosse realizado. Após muitas reclamações referente a demora no reparo ao Sr. Ari, responsável pela Oficina da concessionária, o veículo foi ser verificado pelo engenheiro da montadora presente no local apenas às 16h00 e ainda assim o veículo não teve o reparo realizado. Fui informado pelo Sr. Ari que retornasse na semana seguinte, dia 05/10/2009, pois o reparo necessitava ser feito com a duração de 1 dia e meio.
No dia 05/10/2009 compareci novamente a concessionária entregando o veículo com a promessa de que o veículo seria reparado, além de barulhos no interior do veículo também constatado pelo piloto de teste Sr. Roberto. No dia 06/10/2009 recebi ligação da Sra. Thays me informando que o reparo necessitaria de mais um dia. Compreendendo a situação e tentando ajudar a concessionária para que minha satisfação fosse garantida, concedi um dia a mais para os reparos.
No dia 07/10/2009 recebi nova ligação da Sra. Thays me informando que necessitaria de mais um dia, quando fui contrário a tal pedido uma vez que não concordava com tal demora e que necessitaria do veículo pra necessidades pessoais e profissionais. Após muita reclamação a concessionária me concedeu a caráter de substituição um veículo da mesma, porém em modelo inferior ao adquirido com promessa de entrega do veículo no dia seguinte. Novamente entrei em acordo com a concessionária, visando a manutenção do bom relacionamento entre as partes.
No dia 08/10/2009 compareci a concessionária e fui informado que o reparo não havia sido feito e que o veículo necessitaria de um dia mais na oficina para término, desta forma solicitei o cancelamento da compra do veículo, notificação assinada pelo Sr. Osvaldo Sales, Gerente Pós-Vendas da concessionária, e entreguei o carro emprestado pela concessionária.
No dia 09/10/2009 liguei na concessionária para me informar se o veículo havia sido reparado. Fui informado pelo Sr. Ari que sim e que poderia retirar o veículo. Imaginando que o veículo estaria em perfeita condições retirei-o, porém o serviço não foi realizado de forma satisfatória.
No dia 14/10/2009 deixei o veículo na concessionária para reparo na PINTURA DO AEROFÓLIO FOI DANIFICADA DENTRO DA OFICINA, solução de BARULHO NA PARTE TRASEIRA DO VEÍCULO e TROCA DO FAROL ESQUERDO que queimou. O aerofólio foi retirado e entregue uma semana depois com o serviço em más condições de execução. O farol foi trocado porém instalado de péssima forma, uma vez que há um grande vão entre o farol e o pára-lama, o que não havia antes. Quanto ao barulho o veículo permaneceu na oficina por 2 dias e nada foi solucionado.
No dia 26/10/2009 retornei a concessionária para que o problema do BARULHO NA PARTE TRASEIRA DO VEÍCULO fosse resolvido, o veículo permaneceu novamente dois dias e quanto retirei o veículo o problema persistia.
No dia 29/10/2009 entreguei o veículo na concessionária para solução do problema de barulho. No fim do dia retirei o veículo, ainda com barulho.
RESUMINDO: estou hoje com um veículo que apresenta diversos defeitos: – FAROL ESQUERDO MAL ENCAIXADO, – PORTA DIANTEIRA ESQUERDA COM LEVE AMASSADO NA PARTE SUPERIOR, – TAMPA TRASEIRA DESALINHADA (E AMASSADA NO LOCAL DA TENTATIVA DE REPARO) E – BARULHO NA PARTE TRASEIRA DO VEÍCULO.

Gostaria de saber o posicionamento da montadora, uma vez que não posso esperar mais nada da concessionária, uma vez que tentei agenda hoje a entrega do veículo, porém de princípio fui informado que caso agendasse poderia ficar com um veículo “reserva” da concessionária, mas hoje se negaram quanto a esta informação.

Dentro de 2 meses que adquiri o veículo possuo diversos problemas insatisfações e já fiquei sem o mesmo mais de 11 dias sem o veículo que utilizo para trabalho.
Já avaliei a concessionária em diversas pesquisa com um serviço insatisfatório, mas nada parece ser resolvido. Meu irmão está trocando de veículo e cogitou adquirir um 207 Passion. Vocês acham que deveria recomendar o veículo a ele? E o serviço pós-venda, caso ele precise como eu?

Estou encaminhando esta carta ao site RECLAMEAQUI.com.br e caso não consiga uma solução até o final do mês, darei entrada no PROCON ou no Juizado de Pequenas Causas, por danos morais, materiais e lucro cessante.

Peugeot não resolve problema de veículo em nove meses

Tenho um Peugeot 206 Moonlight com 15 mil km. Tem um teto solar lindo que fui um belo argumento para que eu comprasse o carro. O Teto quebrou. Acho que abri e fechei aquele Teto umas 100 vezes só. Fui numa concessionária Peugeot e me cobraram SÓ 160 reais pra dizer qual era o problema. Isso mesmo!! Se falarem que o problema é o parafuso X e eu nao quiser arrumar, mesmo assim pago 160 reais. Grande Peugeot!! E não para por aí: Ao chegar lá, fui informado que o conserto poderia ficar entre 1.500 e 1.800 reais. Qto custa um peugeot hoje ?36 mil ? Pois é gente….se o teto solar quebrar, você vai gastar SÓ 5% do valor do CARRO TODO pra arrumar. Teto de bosta!!! Achei alguns depoimentos no Reclame Aqui só sobre o teto. Confiram para não comprarem essa bosta. Ahhh…só mais uma coisa…. a mulher lá disse que deve ter quebrado pq não posso abrir com o carro andando. Só pode ser piada né ??

Pensei em colocar o assunto da Reclamação como Desrespeito ao Consumidor mas mudei pra PRopaganda Enganosa, que tambem não deixa de ser um desrespeito.
Meu Peugeot 206 moonlight tb quebrou o Teto Solar com 16 mil km de uso. Devo ter aberto e fechado umas 100 vezes no máximo e já quebrou.
Cheguei na Internet e vi centenas de reclamações iguais.
Pq a PEugeot não chama o pessoal pra um Recall ?? Será que é pq só 0,5% reclamam ?Será que é pq nao saiu nada na mídia ?
Pois bem…. graças a deus sou diretor de uma agência de publicidade que trabalha com Redes Sociais e farei questão de espalhar que o meu teto, junto com outros milhares de consumidores, foi pro beleléu. Parabéns Peugeot.
Procurei a Concessionária da Peugeot e eles me cobraram 160 reais só pra dizer o que está quebrado. INACREDITÁVEL!
Vou tentar levar em outra oficina que me faça um orçamento sem compromisso.

Teto Solar Peugeot 206 Moonlight – projeto muito ruim, pouco robusto…quebra quase sem uso
Comprei um 206 Moonlight e o teto solar deu problema com 12000 km rodados aproximadamente, me informaram que estava fora da garantia, mas a Peugeot deveria ter vergonha de cobrar R$ 800,00 na troca do mecanismo do teto que praticamente não foi usado…que vergonha…pretendo levar isso a todos or jornais, para que a peugeot não venda mais esse teto sem qualidade para Ninguém!

Pessoal, igual a todos vocês eu também comprar o 206 Moonlight porque gostei do teto e etc… mas o teto é uma porcaria, falha de projeto primário … foram vendidos um pouco mais de 7.000 unidades no Brasil e todas tiveram problemas. O meu quebrou 02 vezes, uma durante a garantia a concessionária Pavilon de Santana SP falou que trocou o teto inteiro e foi mentira não trocaram nada e uando quebrou pela segunda vez estava fora da garantia e a concessionária simplesmente falou que não poderia fazer nada e que eu deveria procurar os meus direitos.
Levei para trocar o mecanismo por um modelo novo e após a desmontagem verifiquei várias peças quebradas, amarradas com “enforca gato”.
Paguei R$ 750,00 pela troca do mecanismo completo e vou entrar no Procon de SP.
Tive que fazer 02 higienizações no carro porque entrou água e pela manutenção da peça nova.
Fora o problema do teto o marcador de combustível também não funciona, o de vocês também ?

Tenho um 206 1.4 Moonlight 2008 e tive problema com o teto solar com 35.000 km. Resolvi registrar após ler os vários comentários realizados sobre o mesmo problema. Alguém conhece alguma oficina que conserte em Porto Alegre? A revenda quer trocar o sistema inteiro e cobrar por tudo isso, é claro.

Com 6000 KM peguei a primeira chuva, liguei o limpador de para brisa, um barulho de borracha seca raspando no vidro invadiu o meu peugeot 206 moonlight… assim começa o meu drama… rs… Tive o mesmo problema com o teto solar com aproximadamente 25000 km…. uma pena, é um carro muito bonito, adoro ele… mas não recomendo. Muitos detalhes que incomodam no dia-a-dia. Meu teto ainda esta quebrado…. absss

EU comprei um 206 moolight e desde que comprei só tive problemas, atualmente estou com o teto solar quebrado ( por sinal, se alguém conhece onde posso arrumar , que seja bem em conta e que não seja na Pegeuot) e com água entrando no carro na parte traseira , ficando enxarcado os tapetes traseiros. Alguém me dá uma ajuda, me indiquem onde posso arrumar esses prolemas em um lugar confiável no vale do paraíba?

Comprei o Moonlight 0 km, e o teto apresentou problemas durante a garantia, foi arrumado, porém o problema voltou.
A concessionaria não quer cobrir o concerto e tomarei as medidas cabíveis.

Eu sei que não serve de consolo, mas serve para alertar a todos os consumidores e mostrar a Peugeot a insatisfação, mas aonde eu trabalho tem duas pessoas que tem o 206 e no prédio aonde eu moro tem um vizinho, e os 3 tem o teto solar, todos eles tiveram e estão com problemas no teto solar, parece brincadeira, o projeto ruim, depois reclamam da crise, o 206 ja esta no mercado a muito tempo e mesmo assim eles não corrigiram este defeito…

Peugeot’s designation of cars was doomed from the get-go. The 504 was followed by the 505. The 205 by the 206 and 207. The 605 by the 607. The 309 by the 306. It’s messy, hard to distinguish, and worst of all, limited. The number-zero-number may be snazzy and unique, but it’s confusing and will only last as long as Peugeot are willing to dexterously play with the combinations. But we can safely say they’ve utterly botched it when the 305 was succeeded by the 309 and now their current 308 model has no possible successor number vacant in the present format. So they’ve shot themselves in the foot and added an extra nought. 1007 and today’s car, are examples. It’s doomed to failure but who cares? Peugeots tend to be so bland and forgettable they could call a model the Pi-0-Pi or 123Brilliant and no-one would look up.

One of Peugeot’s latest brainfarts is to make a car, in Autocar’s words:

part SUV, part estate car, part hatchback, part MPV.

Wow, talk about a fudge, But the underlying logic is as thus:

As Nissan has done with the Qashqai, Peugeot seeks to appeal to buyers’ fantasies by offering a taste of SUV without the weight, expense and social opprobrium of the real thing.

And from the response of the public, who have flocked to Peugeot dealers, this has worked. So you could say “Well, if lots of people liked it, it must be good!” But let’s not forget, majorities freed Barabbas, elected George W. Bush, and made Coldplay successful. Ergo, large numbers of people adhering to something doesn’t automatically make it brilliant.

Now I have no idea how it drives, how spacious it is or if it goes 1000 miles on half a tank. This isn’t de facto car journalism so objectiveness doesn’t count unless it suits me. So let’s get to what matters: the 3008 is unbelievably ugly.

Because it’s made to be high (to appease the ego of short people, methinks) and roomy, the proportions are dismally out of balance. And then it’s a Peugeot. And as all current Peugeots, it has the aesthetic appeal of a run-over badger. The ridiculously large grill looks even more ridiculous with that square pattern, a sure sign that the designer simply couldn’t be bothered to give the matter a second thought. The result is a gaping maw with the space between the ugly grill struts so large it looks like it can suck in small children unwary enough to wander too close while the car’s idling at the traffic lights.

The 308, though still hideous and nightmare-inspiring, at least has some interesting tail lights, a simple dash of sanity in an otherwise disastrously horrendous car. The 3008 has no such redeeming feature, with its tail lights having the appearance of symmetrical tomato stains someone carelessly dolloped on the back.

It’s an atrociously designed car, yet it has won over many people. To me, it epitomises the downward spiral in aesthetics Peugeot has been suffering from for quite some time. I’ve praised the 308 RC Z, despite its ugly face and silly wing mirrors, but your heart sinks just looking at this 3008 monstrosity. Will things get worse? Perhaps not. As I’ll comment in upcoming posts, Peugeot know how to make not completely crap cars every now and then.

Na época do lançamento da família 207, já era prevista a aposentadoria dos modelos 206. Agora, a Peugeot confirmou a descontinuidade da produção do 206 no Brasil. Com as vendas em baixa, o compacto mais barato da marca deixa o posto nas mãos da versão X-Line do 207. Produzido em Porto Real (RJ), o hatchback 207 é uma reestilização do 206 com algumas mudanças mecânicas.

Sad news to end quite a quiet day. Peugeot has announced that it will be axing the GTI badge, and the hot hatches that go with it.

Many great cars have beared the GTI badge, including the gorgeous 206 and the nippy little 106.  This move is part of the “new” Peugeot. Peugeot will now be focusing more on sleek, sporty coupes like the RCZ. There will be no more hot hatches, even without the GTI badge.

Besides this sad news, Peugeot will be preparing a special edition of the 207 to celebrate Kris Meeke’s win in the Intercontinental Rally Challenge. This isn’t anything to be excited about though. It will be based on a low-powered 207, the 74bhp 1.4L model, though the 1.6 model may be used instead, but it’s still not a very quick car. This is because the car is being aimed at young drivers, so it needs to be affordable. I suppose they couldn’t use the GTI version not only because of the market they’re aiming at,  but also because they’re killing off the GTI badge.

A 18 anni fu una 205 tutta scassata ad insegnarmi a guidare. Poi la scasssai definitivamente e passai ad una Clio usata. Dopo 6 anni fu il momento di ottenre la mia prima auto nuova, l’auto più cool per i giovani di quel tempo la mitica 206 appena restylizzata. Auto nuova, poco budget, modello base, nessun optional e tante rate da pagare.

La pur minima dignità di automobilista che possiedo mi impedisce comunque di postare una foto della situazione in cui ho appena riportato l’auto in concessionaria Nissan, in attesa di ritirare la nuova Qashqai che mi auguro mi darà tante soddisfazioni. La 206 appena riconsegnata piena di bolli, con le pezze al baule, senza climatizzatore e con 90.000 km è stata valutata la bellezza di 800,00 euro, forse perchè gli ho lasciato anche la radio (mio acqusito extra) che legge mp3 e chiavette USB.

Questa mattina, durante un tentativo di pulizia dell’auto, quello che mi ha stupito maggiormente è la quantità di sabbia, ghiaia e terra che si nascondeva sotto gli zerbini (si chiamano così?) del guidatore e dei sedili posteriori. Probabilmente l’auto pesava una decina di kili in più. Ho deciso di lasicarla lì, come regalo per il prossimo proprietario dell’auto. Sono curioso di sapere come, la concessionaria, riuscirà a ripulire, rimettere a nuovo e rivendere la peugeot 206 che ha appena acquistato per potermi vendere una nuova Nissan Qashqai. Prima o poi la riincontrerò ? Mi avrà tradito con un altro autista ( giovane e squattrinato, probabilmente straniero) e proverò un sentimento di gelosia feroce. In relatà il traditore sono io. L’ho laciata lì, nelle mani del destino. Ciao Cina ! 8 anni senza problemi nonostante una manutenzione inesistente non si spazzano via con un colpo di spugna

Let’s be honest – men love to impress the opposite sex. They love the thrill and excitement of turning heads in a flashy, loud and fast car; it all comes down to testosterone.

If you’re a 22 year old chav driving a dented Peugeot 206 and decide to rev the arse out of it in Sainsbury’s car park because there are 2 girls you know standing at the cash point. What are you doing that for? You’re showing off. The testosterone inside you when you act all bad boy escalates at a profound rate… you know it! The racier – darker- sexier the car you know the more attention you will attract.

Honestly does the thought of women come into the equation at all? – Even if you’re married – do you still look at getting the sexier number to make you feel macho? To prove you are still a desirable male and wear the trousers???

Evidence was found by researchers at Concordia University’s John Molson School of Business in Montreal who took 39 willing young men and let them cruise a Porsche 911 Carrera cabriolet. Then they were asked to drive a 16-year old Toyota Camry. They drove each vehicle once on a busy street where they could be seen by women and then again on a quiet road. After one hour the men’s saliva was tested for testosterone.

The researchers found evidence of low testosterone in the Sedan but high levels in the sports car with or without an audience. The study was evidence of ‘sexual signalling’ similar to animals in the wild, where males try to prove to females they’re the best breeding stock.

So whether you are driving your Porsche 911 turbo around Knightsbridge or your Ford Fiesta around Prescot, it is unlikely the car would have any long-term impact on a man’s libidinal drive. But what it can do is serve as an honest signal of your social status.

Rubbish piling up in the capital

THE BIN strike in Edinburgh is turning ugly with claims contractors brought in to deal with the mess have been the target of aggression.

Workers for Shanks, who cleaned up the city ahead of the Gathering at the weekend, have complained about a driver shouting “scabs” at them from a passing car and bosses being abused by text.

As the industrial action enters its second month and workers threatening to strike right through the festival, it is feared the situation could get worse.

One worker at the company’s headquarters in Milton Keynes called the police after being abused about strike breaking, with officers still investigating.

A report released yesterday also accused bin men of sending abusive messages to their bosses and deliberately ignoring rubbish hot spots.

Yesterday councillors were told of claims that disgruntled cleansing staff are doing everything they can to make the situation worse.

The report said: “Some crews, especially in trade waste collection, have deliberately refused to follow instructions and there have been allegations of crews behaving irresponsibly.”

One council source added: “I have heard of one or two isolated incidents of intimidation by staff towards superiors.”

Rubbish has been piling up around Edinburgh with many businesses changing to other contractors to avoid their waste piling up outside their door.

And the council is now worried about the long term financial effect of the work-to-rule and potential strike action.

Bin workers have said that they are suffering abuse themselves from angry householders whose rubbish hasn’t been picked up in as much as four weeks.

But it is the behaviour of the council workers that has raised eyebrows.

Police confirmed that they are investigating complaints made by Shanks staff working in the Cowgate on Saturday.

They are appealing for witnesses to the incident, where a car stopped and the driver hurled abuse at the staff at around 12.15pm.

A spokesman for Lothian and Borders Police said: “Inquiries are ongoing following an incident in the Cowgate.

“A man driving a Peugeot 206 or similar vehicle stopped next to the workmen and shouted abuse at them. He is described as white, in his 30s, stocky build, with close shaven dark hair, and wearing a light coloured sleeveless vest.

“He also had a large tribal tattoo on his upper left arm.”
