Hip-Hop producer Pharrell Williams is collaborating with italian based brand Moncler for a special-edition line of black mens jackets which will come under the name ”Moncler V”.

Moncler is known for their technology based clothing, they recycle bottles and turn it in yarns and fabric.

This jacket is inspired by a traditional bullet-proof vest, reversible; the lining of the jacket has a print designed by Japanese artist Keita Sugiura who is known for his nature inspired creations.

After just announcing their partnership with Japanese brand Visvim for a line called Moncler V, the classic outerwear label now brings news of a collection by Grammy-winning musician Pharrell Williams. The collection features an assortment of all-black jackets, and includes a “pacifist” version of the bulletproof jacket (pictured) with Velcro-ed side slits, reversible matte/shiny down vests and elongated puffers.

Each jacket is built with textiles from Bionic Yarn, a Pharrell controlled company that produces fabric from recycled plastic bottles. Furthermore, printed linings feature images of lush forests, shot at dusk by Japanese artist Keita Sugiura. Prices and distribution details are yet to be finalized.

I just spotted this incredible vest designed by Pharrell over at highsnobiety.com. This jacket is DOPE, I don’t know if I could pull it off but I’d love to try. What do you think?

Having announced a partnership with Visvim earlier this year, Italian down company Moncler continues their good form having just released details of another collaboration, this time with Pharrell Williams and his textile company, Bionic.  Using his company’s technology, which recycles bottles and turns it in to yarns and fabric, Pharrell has designed a reversible puffer vest – inspired by a traditional bullet-proof vest.  The lining of the jacket has a print designed by Japanese artist, Keita Sugiura, who is known for his nature inspired creations.

The Visvim and Pharrell collaborations will be part of a new collection from the Italian based company called, Moncler V.  This collection will have the company work on numerous projects with various artists around the world.  Stockist information and release dates to come.

Me and Sebastian Ingrosso, Basement Jaxx and NERD. One of the best tours I’ve ever done.

It was insane. And I met Pharrell Williams there and we’ve worked together across the year.

Miami. That’s all I need to say…Miami!!! From drama with Paris Hilton to playing Ultra with Swedish House Mafia and then we got Essential New Tune with Leave The World Behind, what a conference!

APRIL:

Spent it at home in LA. Love it

I came to Europe and toured Size. Gigs with AN21 and Kim Fai

Size is really going to gear up now…

JUNE:

Quick spin around America… then back to Europe for Swedish House Mafia at Pacha’s Launch.

The Dark Forest was a brave move for us and I’m so glad we did it and that we did it together

It’s like being with family.

JULY & AUGUST:

All just nuts. Played Monday for the first time at Pacha, Flonko made Essential new tune…my first track with my brother AN21!

Highlights were Poland, Cavo Paradiso and Peter Pan… big love to those venues!!

SEPTEMBER:

Back to America for one weekend. Set in Miami… and going back for Mansion on New Years Eve. Love those guys. Electric Zoo in New York was incredible…

Closing Ibiza was tear jerking, Size at Ministry of Sound… Warehouse Project opening with Sebastian Ingrosso… and then… on my knees… home to LA!!!

OCTOBER:

Studio, Studio, Studio. Finished Monday, Valodja makes Essential New Tune Top 3, handed in La Candela and Alpha Baguera…then back to Brazil!! End up in New York for Halloween

NOVEMBER:

Brixton with the boys. Such an achievement for us… Studio with Ingrosso in LA for 2 weeks…

Back in October, Myspace and itunes launched a digital download of a Pharrell and Neptunes produced track of an japanese artist, Manami. I honestly didn’t know about it.. until today.

Looks like Toysfactory of Japan is now promoting Manami in Japan now. If you look at her myspace page, you can see Manami is from Okinawa and she won a contest the Star BAPE Search audition held by NIGO from the Teriyaki Boyz and Pharrell Williams. The song is definately an R&B track, but I like it quite a bit. You should give it a listen! Watch it below and if you like it download it from itunes!

New Clipse track, “Back by Popular Demand” featuring Cam’ron and Pharrell.

Pretty good track, Clipse comes through with something solid, like they usually do and Pharrell lights it up with that signature Neptunes beat and the chorus.  I hear you Pharrell, but I don’t see you!  What’s up with that?  The video is pretty raw, just eatin’ some Popeye’s and fries on the streets of New York.  And Killa Cam is starting to look kind of…old, right?  Click on the picture above to link to the video over at Kanye’s Blog.

This is by far one of my favorite tracks from the dynamic duo coming outta Virginia.  This song features Killa Cam and the beat is crazy.. the visuals is crazy too.. and to top it all off, you have these guys eating chicken and fries for the camera… what more could you ask for???  Im getting hungry just watching this.
