} Hoje tem a estréia da festa WHOA @ D-EDGE!

A junção de duas festas bombásticas (Crew e Bang) resultou em uma festa que não poderia ter outro nome a não ser WHOA. Os dois núcleos mais efervescentes da cena eletrônica atual irão se juntar duas terças-feiras por mês no D-Edge para fazerem juntos uma nova festa.

WHOA! Promete ser uma impressionante surpresa musical. A Crew, organizada por Lalai e Phillip, já tem aí dois anos de estrada, rola uma vez por mês no clube Glória e já são velhos conhecidos dos freqüentadores do D-Edge, pois residiam em uma terça por mês no clube da Barra Funda até outubro passado. Já a Bang!, é uma festa que surgiu em fevereiro de 2008 e acontece mensalmente no porão do Vegas Club, organizada por Marcos Efe e Bruno HG, que nasceu descaradamente inspirada na nova cena eletrônica francesa e suas ramificações. Tanto os DJs da Crew já tocaram na Bang!, como vice-versa, então a sincronia promete ser perfeita.

Como a Crew já tem vários DJs residentes e a Bang! possui atualmente 5 membros, a grande sacada da Whoa! será revezar os projetos em uma noite quinzenal, unindo a bagagem musical dos dois e proporcionando uma salada de estilos, que transitam entre si, variando entre 5 e 6 DJs por noite.

A primeira edição desse laboratório sonoro acontece na próxima terça-feira, dia 24/11 e traz as apresentações de Blood Shake e Nasty Bass da Bang! e Fabilipo, Roots Rock Revolution e Fabrizio Martinelli da CREW.

Even the most pathetically far gone soul that scours the internet knows not to start ranting to the neighbors. This is real life—we live with rules of etiquette, and it’s not polite to recount your latest depraved web ventures, entertaining as they might be, to just anyone who will listen. No one wants to hear about that sweet jailbait thread you found last night on Something Awful. Epic stories about animal porn and feces only get you weird looks and restraining orders. The result is a buffer of silence that envelopes these purveyors of internet insanity when they step out of their homes.

That’s why I get excited when I spot a fellow net crawler like myself. They don’t try to make their presence known but there are subtle signs one can pick up on. Often it will be a simple little slip of the tongue, an insertion of what could be random nonsense to the uninitiated ear.

A few days ago, somebody in my class made an off-hand comment about playing the game. He probably meant something like the game of life or The Game by Neil Strauss but upon hearing that comment, a guy in an army jacket sitting in front of me quietly murmured to himself, “You just lost.” (For those who don’t know what the hell I’m talking about, look here) Once you pick up on a signal like that, it’s easy to make friends. Knowing the lingo automatically creates a strong link. All it takes from there to coax out their true wild side is to name-drop some familiar memes with a nice helping of friendly banter. Soon enough that dude in the army jacket, who had barely said a word all semester, was raving about drugs and zombies to me and everyone else in earshot.

Saying “ITTY BITTY BABY, ITTY BITTY BOAT” and then waiting for the ubiquitous “I don’t believe it!” used to be a good way of flushing out the /b/tards from a forum, classroom or crowded elevator.

People can be like hermit crabs—they’ll come out when they feel safe and accepted. And that’s exactly why /b/tards (regular posters in 4chan’s “random” section) and other denizens of the seedier places of the internet like to stay under the radar. They trade pornography, they are capable of committing horrible acts of cruelty, they can gang up and destroy somebody’s life, and yet they feel like exposing their questionable net lives to the real world is a serious breach in security that will result in being ostracized by their peers. Admitting to a regular diet of 4chan and Mucho Sucko is like admitting to meeting up every Tuesday with a few sweaty guys and going dungeon crawling with your level 43 half-elf druid. Embarrassment is only the beginning.

Despite the clear obstacles to meeting my internet brethren, I’ve still got a scattered handful of confirmed web subversives that I know. What I find most interesting is the sheer range and variety of these people. There’s no true stereotype to follow. Contrary to popular belief, 4chan is not primarily comprised of 14 year old boys. I won’t name names but I can tell you, we’re men, women, metal heads, bookworms, bros, hoes, and in some cases just normal looking people you pass by without notice every day. We are indistinguishable from the rest of you, but let me assure you, we are there. There’s probably some sitting amongst you right now, picking up on some kind of unspoken frequency, laughing at dead babies while you continue with your daily grind.

Remember the good old days when random celebrity PSAs on television were the norm? Even if you don’t, do yourself a favor and check out these two gems.

Paul Reubens never disappoints when it comes to being creepy, especially when talking about crack. My mother always told me that every time Pee Wee Herman stares into your soul through the TV screen, an angel gets its wings.

As for Mr. T’s PSA, who decided to dress him up in glasses and a polka dot bow-tie? We all know the man is big teddy bear at heart, there’s no need to make him look like a dork.

Seriously though, kids: always remember to drink your school, stay in drugs, and don’t do milk.

What an awesome fight!  In the beginning rounds of the fight, it looked like Pacquiao was losing, but he was just observing his opponent, how Cotto fights.  After round 3, Pacman got him, so the following round, round 4 was the start of the falling of Cotto, since Pac made Cotto see the floor for a min.  In the end, what an awesome fight!

Now, let us see, the match that we have been waiting for…

On the day the movie came out, I went with some friends to watch, “2012″.  The hype didn’t really disappoint me though.  Although the beginning of the movie was somewhat boring for me, but in the middle of it, it picked up.  It is very epic, and was exciting from the middle and then on.

I just got back from a girly shopping trip to London this past sunday. Stayed there from nov.4 to nov.8 with my friend Ingunn.

We spent the first day running around crazy trying to find our favourite England stores. We didn’t find New Look until around 6 pm, and we were both exhaused at that time. Meaning, we went back to New Look the following morning, and spent at least a couple of hours there. My recent buys will be portrayed here in photos as soon as I get my camera to work and as soon as I can find the time to sit down and post them

On the thursday we met up with my friend Phillip, whom I “served with” when we were in the Newcastle Uni. Int.Soc committee together.  he is the first person I have seen from my Newcastle days since I left. It was really great seeing him again. It made me realize just how much I miss Newcastle and all the people I met there those three years. I’ll really try to make an effort now to keep in touch with all of them. That’s one thing facebook is good for

Most of the long-weekend was all about the shopping, all though we did take a few hours out of thwe saturday to go aboard a tour bus to see the sights of London. I have personally been on two tour bus rides there before, but I really like it, and its a great way to see all the sights. Also, I wanted Ingunn to get to see all those things she’s only ever seen on tv before. It was nice to chill out a bit and take a shopping break.

Sunday was a rather stressfull day as Ryanair’s CRAZY rules had our hearts racing. the # 1 issue was our luggage as we were afraid we might have gone a little too crazy and exceeded the 15 kg weight limit. They had scales at the airport to wegih luggage so you didn’t have to go through the whole check in line and then emberassed go back out of the line to repack. turns out the stress was for nothing, and we both wished  that we had done even more shopping. Cause we had a few kilos to go on still.

# 2 is the new rule ryanain has come up with: your one piece of handluggage has strickt measurement demands, as well as weight demands. But now, you also have to fit EVERYYTHING into that one piece of hand luggage.  meaning I nearly had a panick attack after shopping at the tax free to then find out that I had to fit it all into my handluggage. Because they wont let you have anything else in your hands. no additional handbags, shopping bags etc.!!!! LAME rule. anywho, I guess the flight wasn’t full cause they let me through even though i had a bag of chocolate in my hand and my backpack was HUGE !!!
PHEW!!!

So, at the end of the trip i have 4 conclusions:

1. I <3 LONDON

2. I <3 New Look

3.Seeing Phillip again after all this time was AWESOME!!!!

We at the Yetiblog love Japan. We have so much to be thankful for from this tiny island, such as Nintendo and bukkake. My first reaction was to treat this video was like Telemundo, much funnier when left untranslated.

However, the title “My Boyfriend Is The President” suggests a whole new world of amazing and hilarious possibilities. Enjoy the Pope’s Pikachu voice, a bizarro Hillary Clinton, and some Putin-on-Kim Jong-il gay action. [Ed. 4chan has melted my brain. It wasn’t something I noticed immediately. But when I had to write something that was both reasonable and not for class, I discovered I couldn’t do it without sounding like Dennis Hopper in Blue Velvet (insane and on drugs). I knew I had a problem. I’ve heard people call 4chan “The Most Evil Place On The Internet,” among other equally flattering titles. But to me, it’s the most fun place the web has to offer. It is the epitome of what makes this new frontier (the Internets) great.

There is no censorship on 4chan, and barely any kind of regulations. There are no board executives that decide what kind of programming you consume—all content is user-generated. There is only the general collective, the ebb and flow of opinions and trends, propelled by the untold legions of daily users.

And most importantly, submissions are completely anonymous. On 4chan, you’re free to let the id take over and spew out whatever repressed, depraved nonsense you can stand to type. At any given time, the front page of the ‘random’ section of 4chan (also known by its equally random abbreviation of “/b/”) can display various subjects ranging from clown porn, to gory pictures of dead people, to funny Photoshop experiments. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve called my roommates over in a fit of laughter to make them see the hilarity of /b/ for themselves.

All of this free porn and entertainment does come at a price. One gets drawn into the site’s language and customs. In 4chan, all men are [REDACTED - offensive term for homosexuals], all women are [REDACTED - crudely described repositories for human reproductive protein fluids], and all minorities are [REDACTED - series of analogous racial slurs]. These days I can’t just look at a puppy and say, “Aw, what a cute little dog.” Instead, I see that same puppy and can’t help but imagine what it would look like if it were raped by some nightmarish hentai sex-octopus while staring right at me, telling me to shake babies for exercise.

Once you get acclimated to the intensity of 4chan, it’s impossible to go back to tamer forms of entertainment like TV or sports. How can I be reasonable and rational when I’ve seen what human beings are really capable of when they’re in an environment where they never have to take responsibilities for their actions? Even worse, I loved every bit of it.

What lies next for me is unknown. What has been seen, cannot be unseen.

Prince Edward has caused controversy after commenting on the death of a teenage hiker in Australia this week. After being asked for a comment, rather than just stating his sympathy and sending his wishes to the family, the royal decided that he should go one step further and make a comment that would make his father shed a tear in pride.

Prince Edward stated that the risk of death is appealing to teenagers and young people when it comes to hiking and other activities. Though in my experience teenagers with an interest in death don’t usually spend their time hiking mountains or white water-rafting.

However when it comes to gaffes there is one man, nay hero, in the UK that is somehow able to get away with flagrantly absurd comments without raising much more than a chuckle from the public. Prince Phillip is this man; somehow he has been able to get away with more gaffes than a Big Brother contestant. Everyone has their own favourite Prince Phillip quotes; I myself am quite fond of: “If it doesn’t fart or eat, she isn’t interested.” A comment on his own daughter Anne, which tells you pretty much all you need to know about the Queen’s hubby.

However, there are a few differences between Prince Phillip and a Big Brother contestant. A Big Brother is only in the spotlight until we get bored of them or their sex tape has poor production values; Prince Phillip is there for life. And bizarrely enough some of these comments do spark controversy and even anger from certain groups; for the most part his eccentric, almost fantastical views on the world are embraced by the people of the UK.

Why is this though, for what reason do we love these streams of consciousness emanating from what can only be called a true member of the aristocracy? (Mainly because it’s more polite than saying ‘a complete nutter’) For those against the aristocracy it seems to be an affirmation that people born with blue blood are so completely separated from reality that they are unable to fathom that anything they say could be anything other than completely right and utterly hilarious. And not what those on the receiving end of these statements probably believe i.e. a complete berk.

Those for the aristocracy seem to believe that it’s right for someone with such status to be able to say what he feels, and not be restricted by so called ‘political correctness’. However it should be said that there is a definite difference between being politically correct and having common sense.

However as the years pass and this pillar of respect and solidarity grows older, who will take his place when the unfortunate day comes and he is laid to rest? Who can take the place of the man who once gave his wisdom to several visitors to the orient warning them of the risk that their faces may transform to fit into the society they were now staying: “If you stay here much longer you’ll all be slitty-eyed.”

There can be only one man who can take his place, and that is Prince Edward his son. A man who said that the British media “hates anyone who succeeds”, and spent most of his time trying to create television shows that frankly nobody wanted. This is the man to be the pride of Britain, and our representative to the world, though hopefully not to any country that has an army which is more than five men with a spear. But why do we need someone who can say these things?

Why do we need someone who acts as though he has been pulled straight out of the 1920’s, given a suit and pushed in front of a bunch of foreign dignitaries and given free reign? Well in my opinion, it’s just a bit of a laugh really.

Estreiou na terça-feira (03/11), na Mostra Internacional de Cinema de São Paulo, na Fundação Armando Álvares Penteado (FAAP), o filme “I Love You Phillip Morris”, que conta com a participação do ator brasileiro Rodrigo Santoro.

O filme é baseado no livro homônimo, de Steve McVicker, que conta a história de Steve Russel (papel interpretado por Jim Carrey), que se apaixona na cadeia por Phillip Morris (Ewan McGregor). Quando Morris é libertado, Russel foge quatro vezes só para encontrá-lo.

Rodrigo Santoro interpreta o primeiro namorado de Morris, que morre de AIDS. A cena onde os atores Rodrigo Santoro e Jim Carrey se beijavam na boca foi cortada, deixando o público frustado. Segundo argumentações do diretor Glenn Ficarra, a cena estará presente nos extras do DVD, e foi cortada devido ao fato da química sexual entre Rodrigo Santoro e Jim Carrey estar muito grande, sobressaindo-se da história principal.

Santoro recebeu a notícia do corte como um elogio dos diretores, entendendo que o personagem estava chamando atenção demais e não deveria ter todo esse espaço na trama.

Apesar do papel interpretado por Santoro ser importante, o tempo de sua aparição na telona não foi muito diferente das suas participações nos filmes “As Panteras 2″, “300″ ou “Che”.

Depois desse filme, Santoro vai interpretar o protagonista do filme “Heleno”, sobre o jogador Heleno de Freitas, que será dirigido por José Henrique Fonseca e coproduzido por ele. “Vamos começar a rodar no primeiro semestre de 2010”.

O longa, que estréia em circuito comercial em fevereiro de 2010, ainda pode ser visto na Mostra (hoje, no HSBC Belas Artes). As informações são do Jornal da Tarde.

Phillip Garrido kidnapped Jaycee Dugard and went virtually unnoticed while parole officers and police checked on him regularly. Anthony Sowell raped and murdered at least 11 women while meeting the requirements of a registered sex offender. Both men were convicted rapists, both men committed heinous crimes after their release, and both men went virtually unnoticed.
Phillip Garrido lived with Jaycee Dugard and the two children he fathered with her under the authoritative radar that should have detected his crime. Even when neighbors called 911 to report that young girls were living in his backyard in tents, authorities failed. They did not respond, did not search, and did not get involved.
Anthony Sowell was released in 2005 and met all of the requirements of a registered sex offender in Cleveland, Ohio. Apparently, police have no authority to investigate the home of a registered sex offender when the smell of decaying flesh permeates into the neighborhood, reports of naked women falling from second story windows are made to the police, and one victim states that she was taken into his home, strangled, and raped.

Thirty-nine days transpired from the escapee victim’s report to the time police arrived at Sowell’s home to check up on him. They had been there the day of the alleged rape as well, just several hours prior. Apparently, these parole officers and police cannot detect the smell of human decaying flesh.
Police say they did not have the authority to search Anthony Sowell’s home.  That’s not what the law says!

When there is probable cause an officer may search a home. Especially if the suspect is a registered sex offender, especially if his home reeks of decaying flesh, especially when reports of naked women falling out of windows surface, and most definitely when a woman claims that a convicted rapist, sexual offender has raped her.
Phillip Garrido and Anthony Sowell are symptomatic of a growing trend in violent predators permeating across the nation. Unfortunately, they are also evidence of another trend: failure of authorities to adequately monitor and follow up on sex offenders.

On Oct. 23, 2009, a 15 year old girl was gang-raped by more than 5 men in a 2 hour time span outside her Richmond High School which was her homecoming dance.  There was even people who watched the girl getting raped, and even joined in.  This was reported by a student who heard from other people about the rape…

WTF?!?  The people who were watching didn’t stop or call the police, but someone else had too, and it was from a person who heard from others?  In my opinion, the people who participated in this act should suffer, but that would not gain anything.  I think they should get sentence to prison for 20 years or more for what they have committed.  One of the men were captured though, for a bail of $800,000.  As for the audience who watched what was going on, even though all they did was watch, should probably get community service or something.  All of these people who was associated with the gang-rape from the looking at it, to actually doing it are all b*tches.

-It’s like…ENTERTAINMENT WHEN I’M WATCHING!… -.-

On October 23, 2009, I watched the hyped up movie, Paranormal Activity.  I expected more from it, but the only thing that made me really scared was at the ending of the movie.  Although, on the way back from the movies to my house, I started trippin for a bit because I kept on thinking about the events in the movie.  I even slept early for a couple of days.  So, if you have 10 bucks to kill, go ahead and watch it, it’s not all that scary, but perhaps if you keep on thinking about it after, you might get paranoid.

Apple has once again stunned us with their latest products and the Apple iPhone and the iPod Touch have exceeded their expectations. This is great news, IN YOUR FACE MICROSOFT I remember the CEO of Microsoft first laughing at the iPhone, thinking it was too expensive and etc, but he was wrong. I happen to have an iPhone myself
“Apple said it sold 3.05 million Macs in the quarter, up about 17 percent from the 2.6 million it sold in the same quarter last year”, which is astounding.
