If you haven’t noticed before from one of our previous posts, we love Vera Wang!  And the fact that Kim Kardashian chose that for her wedding dress just thrills us here at His and Her Phoenix Wedding!    Also, if you go to the Vera Wang website HERE then you can see sketches of her dress before it was even made!  All three of her gowns (yes, she had 3!!!) were from Vera Wang.  The elegant yet detailed design show off Vera Wang’s uniqueness.

 
If you are a Vera Wang fan, let us know!  Even though it’s a bit expensive, you can always find great deals on used ones.  And seriously, these dresses are used ONCE so I don’t see a big deal…for Vera Wang that is! :-)

]]> <![CDATA[Wedding Planning Advice]]> http://hisandherphoenixwedding.wordpress.com/2011/09/07/wedding-planning-advice/ Wed, 07 Sep 2011 22:59:54 +0000 His and Her Phoenix Wedding http://hisandherphoenixwedding.wordpress.com/2011/09/07/wedding-planning-advice/ We understand completely how frustrating planning a wedding can be.  Been there, done that, and have helped others to succeed in this process.  The main piece of advice I give to everyone is, THIS IS YOUR WEDDING!  Please remember this.  It doesn’t matter what anyone else says.  This is your wedding day, so you plan it the way YOU want to!  It doesn’t matter if your bridesmaids don’t like the bridesmaid dresses, or your soon-to-be mother-in-law doesn’t like the venue or your grandma feels it should be a plated meal versus buffett.  This isn’t their big day, it’s yours.  It’s your big day, the one day when it’s all about you.  All that matters is that you are happy.  And your soon-to-be husband should definitely be on your side with this.

I had a lovely couple who planned a pretty inexpensive wedding for the most part.  However, the bride’s bridesmaids complained that the bridesmaids dresses were too much $ and some of them complained they would look fat in the dresses.  Let’s just say that the dresses were just over $100.  Not bad for a bridesmaid dress!  This of course devastated the bride because this became so out of hand that she ended up paying for the dresses herself and also chose a different dress, one that she didn’t really want.

Again, just remember, this is YOUR wedding, so do what you want!  Of course, take into consideration others financial situations and to avoid stress you can ask the opinion of others, but ultimately it is your decision.  Make it and stick with it!
