They put out the Xmas decorations at work today. I very much liked this vase of festive willows reflection the mirror corners, but decided I’d have a little black and white fun with it.

Since we missed yesterday and will probably not post tomorrow, we’re giving you our own “pre-Thanksgiving” sale — Three photos of the day for the price of one. Cheating? We know. These photos are from the backlot tour at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. A neat behind-the-scenes tour of various artifacts from the movies. Here you see the VW Beetle from The Love Bug and a snow vehicle from one of the Star Wars movies.

The day was actually really bright, the sun peeking through the cloud caused the under-exposure on my iPhone.

Lately, I’ve taken a special interest in some rather common birds.

I’ve found Cormorants to be a particularly photogenic species.  In fact, they are rather beautiful once you get over their rather odd shape.  I’ve been photographing them quite frequently lately.  Here are a few of my favorites.  I have yet to get a portrait that I really like, but watch out, it’s coming!

It’s D-day minus 1 for me now. Again, me and my class are having our  graduation exhibit starting tomorrow and lasting three days (until November 28th) at the Gallery Gora (it’s actually in their second showroom, one floor above, called Creative Boost), here in Montreal. Opening hours are: Thursday: 6PM to 11PM, Friday and Saturday 10AM to 5PM. entrance is free. I will be showing one large print and my new portfolio (and there are surprises in there!)  as well as meeting everyone. Believe me, there’s some really interesting stuff to see. I’m proudly part of an especially talented group. So come if you can, it’ll be rad.

Yesterday, coming back from a busy day preceded by very little sleep, I was happily surprised to check my sales at my stock agencies and discover I’ve had my best day EVER with over 30 sales in one day.  I’m glad to see interest is still growing despite the fact that I haven’t produced as much in the past two months, due to all of the college assignments and responsibilities. This sudden surge is largely due to my new Fog Series, which I shot last week. It sold madly yesterday, with 6 different shots getting multiple sales in their first day in the search engine at Shutterstock. This makes it my fastest selling series ever at that agency. I find it funny that success would come to a landscapes series since they are notably slow to sell usually (and hard to get passed inspection – Fotolia accepted only half of the 4 I submitted).  I guess I did my job well on these. I do love them, and will actually put three of them on walls at home.  So here’s a second photo from the series. The first of my trees in fog stock photo is here.

I was surprised to find these candies.  It really tastes like O-Sake !  (Rice wine)

Tuesday 21.10.2008 – P!nk at The Metro Theatre in Sydney – Secret Gig – feels like it was so long ago now!!  Met up with some amazing people, had such a great time….I wanna go back, lol!!

It’s not only fun to play with the photo manipulation apps that you can download onto your iPhone -like Polarize which makes the photo resemble the old Polaroid photos -  but the iPhone camera has one major advantage over my rebel, or even a point-and-shoot. The discreetness of the camera makes for great candid street photos.

I splurged today because it was one of those rare occassions I felt like shopping. I got these hot boots and a lovely jacket in Arbor Lakes, and I can’t wait to wear them. I’m gonna try for a quick run and maybe some work time before heading over to Molly’s later tonite.

This group of baby minnows really was one of my favorite moments.  It is incredible to watch so many individuals move as a unit with suce grace and beauty.
