I have been practicing ever since.  Many injuries have been sustained from my circus based escapes.  I can assure you that attempting to tightrope walk across the back of the sofa or practice trapeze skills from the chandeliers is generally not a good idea.

In homage to my circus family (with some old school, photo taking, printing, cutting, sticking, faffing and scanning lomo stylee – why use photoshop when you can create mess?) here is a self-portrait of me in one of my many realities as a tattooed lady.

I was documenting the the set-up of ArtSpark in downtown Raleigh.

I love the preparation , the behind the scene before the craziness!

The artist came and got their pods ready, the staff was drawing the squares with chalk and numbering them .

The news were there, the art was up on the second level of the coffee shop on Hargett road , the stage was empty, the tent were up, and the fun was about to start!

I had a blast!

I will be there on Sunday again to document the end result!

When I am not pretending to be a bus driver, I might instead avidly be watching the world go by and on the odd occasion capture a fleeting moment with my trusty iphone (my SLR is just a touch conspicuous and won’t fit in any of my pretty handbags!).

I really love this shot of a lone bicyclist battling with the snarling London traffic somewhere on Park Lane.

Antics so far this week include: providing very, very early alarm calls by running up the walls of the bedroom and then flinging himself into the curtains to catch springy worm/white mouse/ball/hairgrip/imaginary monsters, developing a new habit of drinking water from any glass that I leave unattended for more than 20 seconds and optionally knocking them over afterwards to watch the water trickle like a stream, bringing in the lovely gift of a baby wood pigeon and developing an interest in watching Olympic BMX biking.  It is a busy life.

What a fabulous summer I am having so far.  There may be a little too much tempestuous weather but I am British, wouldn’t expect anything less! I like to think that there is something rather romantic about sitting in the back garden on a beanbag, reading a book under an umbrella.
