Pi

The Road, is a movie that started as a novel in 2006 by an American writer Cormac McCarthy. The novel won the 2007 Pulitzer Prize award for Fiction. The film by the same name The Road was directed by John Hillcoat and written by Joe Penhall. The film stars Viggo Mortensen as the Man \ father and Kodi Smit-McPhee as the Boy \ son, a father and son surviving in a post-apocalyptic 2012 doomsday wasteland. Along the way, they encounter grave struggles and hardships avoiding bands of cannibals along the road. The 2012 doomsday apocalyptic event is showing the beginning of the next ice age and destruction of the northern grain belts outlined in the H2onE2 and H3onE3 books.

Within the movie common themes can be drawn between “The Road” and many other 2012 doomsday type movies, like the Pandorum movie. To truly understand this film and its deep suggestive 2012 doomsday material an understanding of the Greek Gods and Hesiod’s Theogony is a must. It is suggested that you read my write up on the Pandorum movie review first and better yet the H3onE3 book posted free online.

The first suggestive material worth mentioning is the earth quakes. The earth quakes are a verbal representation of thunder, noting the presence and work of Zeus. From Theogony Zeus the high god holds the understanding of earth’s environment and is empowered for one reason, he controls earth’s most powerful energy source, lightning and thunder. Because Zeus could control lightning he has conquered all the lesser gods in heaven. Also in Theogony it is documented that Zeus plans on destroying the current age of this population, “the Iron Age” like he destroyed all the previous ages of humanity. In the Road Cormac McCarthy is both describing, perpetuating and foretelling the destruction of earth’s current population; utilizing movie media to continue the biblical prophecy.

The biblical prophecy is important to understanding the movie the Road, it actually has a lineage that started with classical Greek mythology, and was modernized by the later Greeks with the creation of the Old Testament. This gave the classical Greek gods a more modern earthly presence. The Romans, seeing what the dyeing Greek Empire had crafted, created and promoted the works of the New Testament, designed to sacrifice the future king, Oedipus prophecy and riddle hidden in the Old Testament. The War of Religion was not over yet, because the last Greek cultural strong hold had one last card to play. John of Patmos fashioned Revelations as the final capstone of all the previous works and prophecies, which in short dooms mankind at the death of future Prometheus also known as Oedipus. Humanity is required by the prophecy to find and empower this none mythical character or they will become cannibals and on the Road of their own destruction.

When the suggestive thunder appears in the movie it is followed by an interaction with cannibals, future man. Here the movie director John Hillcoat is suggesting that Zeus has forced the environmental disaster and here the thunder / earth quake is confirming his work.  One of the thunder scenes, one that includes cannibals occurs when the young mother and child are killed by the large gang of hungry cannibals. This event is soon followed by a church scene where a painting of the Holy Grail at a Last Supper is shown. Here the movie director and writer is hinting that the Greek gods and their 2012 doomsday prophecy has been evolved into Linear Western Religion, both the Old and New Testaments. And, that the last supper and the offering of a body and blood sacrifice is in fact a cannibalistic act. This scene is telling the aware and educated members of the audience that the prophecy of the Greeks is the same prophecies in Christianity and they both end on the same road, The Road.

The second most important element in the movie pertains to the reference of Fire. In the mention of fire, here the movie takes on elements of the classical Greek story of Prometheus, who stool fire for the betterment of mankind. The boy turns out to represent a modern variation of Prometheus when his father epitomizes all of the Greek God Pathogen, in many different scenes. In the movie scene where the Man \ father swims through frigid rough water to search a partially sunken fishing boat offshore, he takes on the powers of Poseidon. The scenes where the two characters take refuge in caves the father takes on the reference of the god Hade; god of hell and the underworld. When the father picks his son up and runs from the cannibals he represents the Greek God Nike and when he is armed with an axe he represents Hephaestus, the Greek god of the Forge. Many scenes reflect back to the Man’s wife who is a representation of Aphrodite, the Greek Goddess of Love.  His wife’s death is never shown for one reason alone, because you cannot kill a god, at least not in the realm of myth and science fiction.

The story well outlines the two primary characters from the H3onE3 book; H3one3 Universal Facilitator, Universal Sacrifice and Holy Pi. The two hidden and prophesied characters in all media aka (music, literature, plays and movies) are both shown as Homeric Heroes and sometimes Sacrifices. It could be said that there is no Zeus or UF without a Prometheus a US, as in the understanding that a classical comedy plays against and with the understanding of a tragedy and vice versa. The two primary characters uncovered in the H3onE3 work are divine figures, mixed and blended in all Homeric media as a mechanism of population control. In the Road the Man represents the Universal Facilitator and the boy the Universal Sacrifice.

The Road references to fire as being in the hart, maybe the hart of humanity and being human and humane, when in contrast the opposing group, the cannibals are suggested as more animal; solely thinking of themselves. The mission of the boy and man turns out to be a mission of humanity, to carry the fire to the coast, symbolized in the Statue of Liberty in New York Harbor.

An interesting character appears in the movie called Eli or Ely played by, I believe an artificially aged Robert Duvall. Eli is a Hebrew name, which means High Priest and last of the Judges. (1 Samuel chapters 1-4) Eli served as the judge and high priest of Israel when The Ark Of The Covenant, contained the Ten Commandments. Although Eli was a good and righteous servant of God, he was unwilling to remove his “two” (UF and US) corrupt sons from the priesthood and this brought about his doom.

When the US and UF meet Eli an interesting geological formation is shown in the background. Clearly this geological rock formation demonstrates three erosional layers showing natures ability to end civilization but also the ages of man already ended by Zeus. Eli calls the US an angel and then later on, even more interesting a god.  Here the writer is playing both sides of the coin with an angel reference catering to Christianity and as a god respecting the original, evolved Greek pathogen. It is when Eli refuses to talk about his own child where his real identity is uncovered. Eli turns out to represent of a high god either Coronus or Zeus himself. Eli’s refusal to talk about his own child, this is the key to uncovering him as the high god, both Coronus and Zeus in Theogony are noted for eating their children. It is possible here the writer is suggesting that Eli representing Zeus destroys himself when he ends the Iron Age.

The Man the UF carries binoculars near his hart, this is because he has the ability to see the future and at his death the binoculars are taken or even passed on to his son the US. The binoculars are a metaphor to the ROAD humanity is on and being able to seeing the future, the end of the Iron Age. The prophecy will be forced upon humanity as a Revelation. Many references in the movie regurgitate a need to stay off the road, meaning that humanity survives by not continuing down the road, the same road, the road humanity is on.

Som de av dere som kan noe om musikk vet fra før, er det noe som heter taktarter. De står skrevet som brøker, det vil si et forhold mellom to hele tall. Noen vanlige taktarter er 4 / 4, 6 / 8 og 3 / 4. Noen litt mer uvanlige taktarter er 5 / 4 og 11 / 8.

Irrasjonelle tall er tall som ikke kan skrives som et forhold mellom to hele tall. Jeg synes folk burde begynne å skrive sanger i irrasjonelle taktarter, som for eksempel π / 4, e / ϕ eller √2 / √5. Det vil by på visse utfordringer når man skal telle med musikken, men det er irrelevant når vi skal være så kule som dette,

Voilà, ce qui était prévisible vient de se confirmer : la Cour suprême du Canada (CSC), tribunal de dernière instance de la nation étrangère canadian, juge encore une fois inconstitutionnelle une de nos lois servant à défendre notre langue et notre identité nationales. Les sages canadians de la CSC ont déterminé que la Loi 104 pourtant adoptée démocratiquement à notre Assemblée nationale en 2002 pour colmater une brèche dans la Loi 101 violait le droit fondamental des enfants d’immigrants et des enfants de Québécois de poursuivre leurs études à l’école publique anglaise après avoir fréquenté l’école privée anglaise non subventionnée durant une année. Ce faisant, la CSC consacre le retour du libre choix de la langue d’enseignement publique au Québec pour ceux qui ont suffisamment d’argent pour violer la Charte de la langue française.

La CSC ordonne au gouvernement du Québec d’adopter d’ici un an une politique d’accommodement qui soulagera financièrement les parents qui désirent que leurs enfants reçoivent une éducation primaire et secondaire anglaise. Après une année au privé non subventionné, ces derniers pourront poursuivre leurs études en anglais aux frais de l’État et sur le bras des contribuables québécois. Ce droit à l’école publique anglaise vaudra aussi pour leurs frères et sœurs, ainsi que leurs descendants. Le tribunal de dernière instance de la nation étrangère canadian somme donc l’État québécois, notre État national, de mettre en place un autre dispositif légal afin d’assurer l’auto-assimilation de notre Nation.

Aux yeux des juges canadians de la CSC, exiger que les enfants d’immigrants et de Québécois fréquentent l’école publique française afin d’assurer la survie de notre Nation en terre d’Amérique est injustifiable dans une société libre et démocratique comme le Canada. Encore une fois, la CSC nous protège contre nous-mêmes. C’est pour notre bien que la Loi 104 doit être abrogée. Le gouvernement des juges d’Ottawa nous protège contre les dérives totalitaires de l’État québécois. Notre Nation doit réprimer ses pulsions racistes, xénophobes et intolérantes qui parfois se traduisent par l’adoption de lois fascistes, comme la Charte de la langue française, qui violent les droits individuels fondamentaux de tous les Canadians d’un océan à l’autre garantis par la Charte canadian des droits et libertés enchâssée dans la Constitution canadian de 1982. Que le gouvernement du Québec ait toujours refusé de signer cette constitution rapatriée unilatéralement par Ottawa n’y change rien. Le Québec est une province canadian. En bonne province, il doit donc se soumettre à la Charte canadian et à l’autorité de la CSC. Au Canada, la démocratie canadian a toujours préséance sur la démocratie québécoise. Voilà le destin d’une nation minoritaire comme la nôtre dont l’État a été conquis et annexé de force par une puissance étrangère. Voilà ce que produisent 250 ans de domination politique canadian.

26 November 2009. 2hari setelah rapat ricuh itu ada rapat lagi. Kali ini rapatnya bareng orang dari EO, yang bakal bantuin para panitia pensi.

Tau tidak yang hadir pada rapat kali itu hanya gustian as ketua panitia pensi, BIRD diwakili saya – kukuh – iffaan & Firda (Donny sedang rapat rokris), dan PI. LEAF gak dateng, dengan alas an mereka sedang remedial. Memang mereka pikir saya bodoh, dari segitu banyaknya pengurus LEAF gak ada satupun yang datang?

Rapat berlangsung, Ketua LEAF sempat masuk, namun pasif, tak bicara sedikitpun, lalu ditengah rapat tiba-tiba ia keluar.

Rapat kali itu sebenernya saya gak begitu ngerti, yang ngerti Yao sama PI, soalnya ngebahas dekor, dana, gueststar,dll. Pokoknya apa yang saya bisa bantu akan saya bantu, tinggal berikan saya komando maka saya akan langsung mengomando anak buah saya.

Saat penghujung rapat, Donny baru dateng, abis rapat Natal dia. Rapat pun selesai, dan orang EO pun pergi. Tinggal kami ngomongin apa apa yang harus dilakukan, dan kami minta gustian as panitia pensi untuk tegas, karena waktu rapat sebelumnya yang panas panas panas, gustian as ketua panitia seperti tidak dihargai oleh LEAF.

Tiba – tiba teman sebangku saya masuk ke ruang rapat. As we know, dia yang baru balik dari tugasnya langsung termakan omongan teman-temannya yang belum tentu benar.

Saat itu dia benar –benar bela organisasinya, dan jatuhin BIRD gitu aja. Saya ingin protes, saya ingin bicara, saya gak terima BIRD dibilang seperti itu. Tapi Donny bilang,  “Lo diem aja jas, biar gue yang ngomong”. Memang benar sih, Donny takut saya kenapa –kenapa soalnya saya masih duduk sebangku dengan wakil ketua LEAF SETENGAH TAHUN LAGI ! Oke saya diam.

Jadi teman sebangku saya berfikir seperti ini : Para pengurus LEAF terbentuk dengan adanya pelantikan, pelatihan, dsb. (Di sekolah saya pencarian bibit LEAF itu pake kekerasan, macam push up, guling2 di lapangan dll) Sedangkan BIRD terbentuk begitu saja, tanpa ada pelantikan dan pelatihan. Jadi hak –hak BIRD di sekolah saya berbeda dengan hak BIRD di sekolah lain, dan menurut teman sebangku saya, selama ini BIRD diajak kerja bareng aja udah lebih dari cukup. Istilahnya dikasih hati minta jantung.

Well, menurut saya as ketua BIRD : Memang mau kami seperti ini? Kami juga maunya BIRD ada pelantikan, pelatihan dll, dsn. Tapi itu kan sekolah yang ngatur. Kami bisa apa? Dan satu lagi, anggota BIRD adalah ketua kelas as perwakilan dari tiap – tiap kelas, so apa butuh pelatihan fisik macam LEAF? Ya enggak lah.

Sungguh saat itu hati saya sakit, karena selama ini menomor satukan sikap menghormati teman sebangku saya dari pada membela BIRD, tapi ternyata dia tidak menghargai saya, dia menomor  satukan organisasinya. Dan setelah itu, saya berubah haluan, saya akan terus bersama teman – teman BIRD, tanpa menghiraukan perasaan saya.

Karena tugas BIRD adalah mengontrol LEAF agar tidak bertindak sewenang – wenang, dan ini adalah salah satu cara mengontrol mereka. Cara mereka salah, terlalu superior. Bukannya menyatukan diri dengan BIRD dan PI, tapi mereka malah memisahkan diri, dan mau mereka BIRD dan pihak Indepen kerja dibawah komando mereka. Padahal itu salah. Yang berhak mengomando adalah gustian as ketua panitia pensi, bukan LEAF. Disitulah salahnya.

Setelah saat itu, status LEAF di facebook makin menjadi – jadi. Didalam tubuh LEAF sendiri pun ada konflik, konflik antar sesama LEAF. Dan dari status- status mereka sih sejauh ini, mereka nyalahin BIRD  atas perpecahan yang mereka alami.

Aib mereka umbar, komentar di status, note, dll.

Saya bilang ke seluruh BIRD, jangan ada yang komentar di status mereka.

Cara yang konyol menurut saya, seperti anak TK. Sangat konyol. Mereka saling membuka aib. Menjijikan guys.

Tapi ada salah satu komentar yang dibuat teman sebangku saya di status temen LEAFnya.

Dia bilang, “Cukup perdebatan kita sampai disini, karena ada yang tertawa diluar sana”.

Well, ngertikan maksudnya ?

Sakit hati saya readers.

Segitu buruknya kah prasangka buruk teman sebangku saya terhadap saya dan BIRD. Dia pikir saya tertawa ?

Boro – boro saya bisa tertawa, tiap saya memikirkan masalah ini, yang ada air mata saya yang jatuh. Saya menghormati teman – teman saya di LEAF, pure sebagai teman. Tapi begini balasannya…

25 November 2009. Hari itu hari Rabu. Setelah perayaan hari guru akan ada rapat pensi di lantai 3, ruang seni  budaya.

Pengurus LEAF, kami pengurus BIRD, dan pihak indepen berkumpul.  Ya, akan ada voting ulang tema. 2 Tema. Yaitu Tema dari LEAF, dan Tema dari PI.

Tapi ada yang aneh, sangat aneh. LEAF membawa seluruh pengurus kelas 10 untuk mengikuti voting. Padahal saat rapat I dan rapat II kelas 10 tidak kelihatan batang hidungnya sama sekali, tiba – tiba mereka ikut voting kali ini !

Apa bloggers bisa baca pikiran saya waktu itu?

Ya, LEAF membawa pasukan supaya tema mereka menang !

Liciknya…

Disitulah penyebab keributan. Kami BIRD, dan PI tidak setuju dengan kehadiran kelas 10 disitu. Adu mulut pun terjadi. Jelas BIRD dan PI mencekal tindakan LEAF tersebut.

Sumpah deh, kepala saya mau pecah saat itu. Saya tutup telinga, mereka saling teriak, saling bentak, saling sindir, panas panas panas.

Tiba – tiba sampai suatu ketika saya disuruh maju sama xxxxxdari LEAF. Dia membentak saya, menyuruh saya membeberkan semua yang yang terjadi saat 2 hari lalu. Saat saya di ruang LEAF sendirian, saat saya ditekan kala itu, saya disalahakan sendirian. 1 vs 7.

Saya takut, saya pusing, saya blank. Apa yang harus saya katakana. Saya lihat gustian as ketua pensi benar – benar tidak dihargai kala itu.Kalo begini terus gak akan selesai rapat ini.

Akhirnya dengan terbata – bata saya katakana 20% apa yang terjadi saat peristiwa 1 vs 7. Mengapa 20%? Karena saya sadar, jika saya beberkan semuanya, rapat ini tidak akan selesai, yang ada malah perang  perang dan perang.

Teman – teman BIRD saya sempat kecewa, mereka bilang “kenapa lo ga bilang semuanya aja sih mumpung di depan kelas 10, biar mereka tau jahatnya LEAF”.

Tapi akhirnya mereka mau mengerti setelah mendengar penjelasan saya. Adu mulut pun dilanjutkan.

Perlawanan dari BIRD diwakilkan oleh Donny dan Kukuh. Dari PI ada Yao dan Nana.

FYI Donny itu keren sekali kalo bicara, orang ngomong 3 kata, dia balas 10 kata sedangkan Kukuh jago ngeles. Lalu Iffan memanfaatkan keributan dengan mendatangi kelas 10 dan berkampanye kemudian anggota BIRD yang lain saya suruh mencatat setiap detil rapat yang terjadi dan juga pilih tema yang benar-benar bagus, paling tidak kalo LEAF bisa bawa anak kelas 10 belom tentu tema mereka menang.

Finally, Gustian as ketia pensi turun tangan. Diputuskan kelas 10 tetap ikut rapat, namun hanya perwakilannya saja, 5 orang. Oke kami setuju. Lalu PI diwakili Yao mulai mempresentasikan Tema mereka, dilanjutkan tema dari LEAF. Selanjutnya pemungutan suara.

Hasilnya, Tema dari PI menang telak 29 – 11 dari pada tema LEAF. Rapat diakhiri, saat itu air muka LEAF sangat tidak enak untuk dilihat.

Setelah kejadian tersebut, terjadi berbagai perpecahan di dalam tubuh LEAF, sebagian ada yang memihak keluar, sebagian ada yang tetap dengan prinsip superior mereka. Padahal yang namanya panitia pensi, mau dari Rohis, Rokris, LEAF, BIRD, atau dari luar semuanya setara, karena pada dasarnya Pensi itu adalah acara sekolah bukan acara LEAF. Tapi beberapa dari mereka masih mikir pensi itu LEAF yang ngatur.

Waktu itu, tiap saya buka homepage fb yang ada malah status – status para LEAF yang malah terkesan buka aib di fb.

Udah gitu, mau saya masalah ini diselesaikan secara internal aja gitu kek. Tapi ini malah engga, merek malah berkoar – koar sengaja mempublikasikan ke khalayak ramai.

Baru saja saya turun ke lantai satu, tiba – tiba ada orang nanya, “Jas, tadi rapat BIRD ama LEAF berantem ya?”

Oh Gosh, jelas saja gossip beredar begitu cepat. Jika adik kelas atau kakak kelas bertanya ke saya tentang BIRD vs LEAF , saya Cuma bisa jawab “Engga berantem kok, BIRD sama LEAF kerja sama, Cuma beda pendapat aja”. Tapi mereka, para LEAF malah bikin status terus terusan di fb.

2 hari setelah itu. Teman sebangku saya balik dari tugasnya, teman sebangku saya yang jadi wakil ketua LEAF. Teman sebangku saya mendengarkan semua perkataan teman – teman LEAF-nya, Teman sebangku saya termakan omongan teman-teman LEAF-nya, Teman sebangku saya tidak lagi ingat dengan saya, Teman sebangku saya tidak lagi menghomati perasaan saya. Padahal saya selalu menghormati perasaan dia. Dia sebagai sahabat saya, dia sebagai teman sebangku saya, bukan dia sebagai LEAF. Tapi inilah yang saya dapatkan, perakuan seperti ini yang saya dapatkan.

Sakit hati saya.

Indiozinho da Tv Tupi ao lado de uma das câmeras da emissora.

E pelas mãos do já comentado Assis Chateaubriand que a TV Tupi tornou-se a primeira emissora do país.

Na primeira transmissão do dia 18 de setembro, Chatô estava dando um jantar para os seus amigos ricos em virtude da inauguração da sua emissora. Começou a demorar de mais para acontecer a transmissão…

Como as coisas no Brasil quase nunca saem perfeitas, não podia ter sido diferente.

Uma das câmeras que seria utilizada ness transmissão pifou. Prefiro acreditar que de 3 câmeras ficaram duas, porém outras fontes dizem que de 2 câmeras ficou apenas 1.

Vocês conseguem imaginar que loucura que foi? Se hoje em dias nos estúdios que tem mais de 5 câmeras 1 da problema e faz um transtorno na gravação, imagina essa situação!

O que vamos passar amanhã?

Ninguém fazia idéia. Começaram a correr contra o tempo para produzir a atração do dia seguinte e uma delas foi o IMAGENS DO DIA.

O telejornal consistia em passar as principais notícias, em imagens estáticas e uma voz narrando os fatos. Como no começo a televisão mais parecia um rádio televisionado, a maior enfase desse telejornal não era para as imagens e sim para o locutor.

A título de curiosidade quem conhece essa musiquinha?

Antes de se tornar jingle de cobertores, ela fora encomendada por Assis Chateaubriand. Ele não exitava em mandar metdade da sua audiencia ir dormir. O indizinho da TV Tupi era acompanhado pela musiquinha enquanto deitava em sua rede.

Nâo encontrei a versão com o indiozinho, então além de trazer a musiquinha, vem de brinde um comercial da época.

Hey guys, just thought I’d give you a little bit of an update, you know, I gotta keep up on these blog posts.  So what this is going to be is just a quick little overview of what I’ve been up to lately

- I’ve almost finished reading the book “Lovely Bones” by Alice Sebold.  It’s a good book- but I’m hesitant you say that.  You know what I mean, right?  You read a book and really enjoy it, then you suggest it to someone, and when they read it they just associate all of its contents with you.  That’s what I am afraid of here (there is a creepy pedofile in this book- not something I want to be associated with!) But, if you are mature enough to not read too much into the fact that I am suggesting this book, I would really encourage you to read it.

By the way, one thing that really sparked my interest in finishing it (I sort of gave up for a bit) was going to see New Moon (ick) and before hand seeing the preview for “Lovely Bones” which is being turned into a movie.  I am excited to see how that goes over.

- Someone told me a cheesy “i 8 sum pi” joke as well, which I thought was hilarious.  Here for more information. Thank-you to Apathetic Thursday

- I had a terrible movie theater experience!  Maybe that’s why I didn’t really enjoy New Moon…?  During the movie, which I went to see a few days ago with my sister, this girl was CONSTANTLY walking past me, getting in the way of the movie.  Like, at least once every 10 minutes!  My theories are she either she had really bad diarrhea but still wanted to watch the movie, so kept running to the washroom OR she was on two dates at once, so she had to run from theater to theater, making an appearance with both boyfriends.  For vengeance sake, lets hope she had diarrhea.  But seriously, she was ridiculous.  She was booting peoples popcorn over and knocking over drinks in this movie.  Luckily I did not have any popcorn at this movie.  At one point she even tripped over my legs and fell on me.  At least she was apologetic.  But still, all I can say is: Next time get an isle seat.  For everyones sake.

Anyways, that’s all of my interesting/uninteresting news.  Until next time,

Essa reunião do grupo foi substituida para a realização da entrevista com o senhor Armando F. Cavadinha. Extremamente simpático, talvez um pouco tenha haver com a sua profissão que ele diz nunca ter tido vontade de mudar.

-Alguém adivinha a profissão desse senhor? Dole uma, dole duas, dole três.

-Palhaço.

Ele não exita em dizer e nem gosta de se denominar artista, palhaço e pronto!

Chovia e como todos sabem, quando uma gota de água cai no estado de São Paulo, tudo para! E claro que não podiamos estar fora dessa, pegamos um transito durante o percurso de pegar os integrantes do grupo num ponto estratégico e chegar a residencia do nosso entrevistado.

Uma casa pequena e simples, porém, extremamente aconchegante e podemos dizer que sentimos a recepção calorosa no momento em que tocamos a campainha.

Entramos e começamos a conversar com o nosso entrevistado, perguntamos coisas sobre a vida dele e ele nos contou muitas histórias do seus anos de experiencia, antes mesmo de começar a entrevista..

Cavadinha e os ídolos inspiradores.

Como podem ver, o nosso entrevistado é apaixonado pela arte que chama de profissão, prática inclusive que é passada de pai para filho dentro da família e por conta disso ja foi matéria de revista da região.

Adorador de uma boa conversa, Cavadinha nos contou inúmeras histórias e respondeu as nossas perguntas de forma detalhada, ficando surpreso inclusive quando o ajudavamos a lembrar de pontos que ele mesmo não lembrava.

Ficamos sabendo que ele era parceiro do famoso Arrelia e fez teste para fazer parte do elenco da TV Tupi.

Cavadinha relembrando os bons momentos.

Após terminarmos a entrevista, reorganizarmos os móveis que haviamos mechido, nos despedimos do nosso entrevistado.

Quando estavamos indo embora, ele diz:

-Espera ai, fica ai!

Olhamos um para a cara do outro e obedecemos!

Minutos depois volta o nosso entrevistado e diz:

-Olha essa caixinha, não tem nada aqui! Agora eu faço uma mágica e…

De dentro da caixinha sai um coelhinho!

Falando por todos da equipe, foi uma experiencia extremamente gratificante.

A recent post from Raymond Chen reminded me of the time when I was in university and I wrote a friend a cheque for Π Shekels.

Wanting to see if it would accepted, we placed it in a deposit box (to nullify the effect of facing the cashier).

I put the Greek letter Π in the numerical field and “פאי” (“Pi”) in the textual field.

Several days later my account was debited by 3.14 NIS (~1$), I was a bit peeved that they rounded Pi to only two decimal points but decided it’s as good as I could have expected.

I called the bank and asked for a photocopy of the offending cheque (this was before you could see cheques online), the person taking my call was rather surprised since the fee for ordering a photocopy cheque to be sent was higher than the cheque’s amount.

My friend suggested that our next experiment would be with א_o Shekels but I declined.

All this was before I heard of Knuth’s custom of writing cheques for hex-dollars.

This story has a sad story since I lost the photocopy of this cheque one of the times I moved…
