It is still a work in progress, but is accessable for many states currently developed. Check back soon if you dont see your states lottery numbers available and I will make sure to get them listed.

But in a nutshell, here’s what it is.

1. What 3 independently owned businesses would you miss if they were gone?

• Buy something that makes you smile.
• Remember that your purchases are what keep those businesses around.

• If half the employed population spent $50 each month in locally owned independent businesses, it would generate more than $42.6 billion in revenue.

• for every $100 spent in locally owned independent stores, $68 returns to the community through taxes, payroll and other expenditures.  If you spend that in a national chain, only $43 stays here. Buy online and nothing comes home.

• it takes only 1 person to start the trend.

First, you have to understand the odds of what you’re trying to accomplish.  And those odds are different for each game, so maybe we should go over them one by one so you know what you’re talking about going ahead.  Let’s start with a simple one, the Pick 3.

A standard ticket means you have to pick all three numbers in the correct order.  It’s an open pool of 10 numbers (0-9), so that means that all numbers are used for each draw.  So, your odds of picking the correct number on the first draw are 1 in 10, or 10%.  The same goes for your next two numbers.  10% and 10%.

However, since you have to pick them in the right order, your odds of picking the correct first and second number are actually 1/10 * 1/10, or .01.  Add a third number in there and you’re at .001, or 1 out of 1000, which are actually phenomenal odds in the lottery world!

Other Notes:

Races on BC day at Hastings also look pretty sweet. Big race is the BC Cup Classic which will feature Texas Wildcatter who raced in Kentucky against a couple Triple Crown Ponies. Very rare to see a horse like this in Van City. But you know what, who really cares, as a bet in low level claiming race and a bet on a big stakes race has the same impact on what I eat and whether or not I’ll be able to pay rent
