Fick ett mail av Mary och hon ville ha en veckorapport av mig.  Om jag skulle ge henne en veckorapport när jag samtidigt jämför med hennes nuvarande veckorapport så kommer jag nog kasta sten i mitt eget öga! Jag fick en tår och skulle ta mig samman och koka kaffe. Då sprutar vattnet i handfatet så hårt så jag blev blöt från midjan och ner och jag började skratta igen.  De e stabilt ,  Stabilt som fan.

Last time in the Redfern Legacy: Has Patrick found true love? Will Patricia fulfill her LTW?

Trying out another mini game; saw it on the Sims 3 Legacy group: Whenever the message comes up that a sim is getting gold and might die soon, the playable friend will visit the death-bed sim (so to speak). Nice move EA for killing the friend off just as Patricia entered the house.

Shelley proves to be quite the astronomer. Another mini game from EA – I’ll see if I want to pursue it. An extra nice touch would have been that you would be able to track the found stars in the sky – but that’s too much Spore reference right. )

I feel guilty but Patricia’s life is pretty boring. She spends most of her time gardening, painting or playing guitar. Growing flame fruit – Yay! Now just for the money tree, death flower, life fruit and the omni plant!

Before we get excited, this text bubble is misleading – the bottom one: ‘What will her next goal be… ?’ Sims only get 1 LTW per lifetime in Sims 3; compared to Sims 2 where they rolled another LTW when completeing the original one. Hurrah! Patricia has completed her LTW! She had mastered the Painting and Guitar skills!

And she learnt all the songs in the book, now she gets to jam out a special Master Track. Not anything worth tweeting about though. Friendly warning that here will now follow some engagement spam. No words needed for the pics. Patrick lured Shelly to the beach for a picnic, and surprise surprise – he popped the question. But first he had to warm to her by doing an obnoxious amount of romantic gestures.

Rachael Yamagata – I Want You

Her vocals when she does this soft growly thing sound a little like Fiona Apple, but I don’t want to draw too many comparisons to current artists because I think that is a jacked up thing to do. I will say that a lot of the backing instrumentals on her album are done by the Klezmatics, who work in the klezmer tradition of music. (And I am going to be googling the Klezmatics and seeing what’s what with their solo stuff, promise.)

This klezmer business is a genre about which I knew absolutely zero until I gave it a test drive on the wiki, but I will totally be on the lookout for it showing up thematically in pop from now on. It’s celebration music, mainly for Jewish religious ceremonies and rites of passage. It has definitive characteristics. You know, like, the wedding scene in Fiddler on the Roof, that awesome kickass bottle dance scene? Like that.

I think you can hear it in here, in the strong clarinet, trombone, and trumpet. I mean, obviously the song is not composed to be a deliberate inclusion in the genre, it’s just informed by it, and it’s done really well. okay now this is a game you will never forget. it is a very crazy game. the places you can race are unbelievable!some of them are in space and some are in the desert. i got this game from Game Stop. it was used but it still works. one of the tracks in this game is called rainbow road. the track is in space. and there is one called Coopa cape. you go in a giant tunnel. some of the characters in this are of course the one and only Mario & Luigi!!!!!!! there is also some other characters like princess peach,daisy(princess peaches daughter), bowser, king boo( a ghost), yoshi( a little dinosaur), koopa troopa,(a small dinosaur like yoshi)

you can also go worldwide and play with other people.

Went to a party with low expectations so that we could expect the worst. Night turned out to be pretty fuckin awesome.

At dinner tonight, Sophia held up her cheese, touched it to her chest and said, “Mine. Mine. Mine…. Mine… Mine…” over and over and over again.  Yes.  She has learned the word “mine.”  Last week she learned the word “no” and thoughtlessly answers “no” to everything.  If I had the patience to count how many times she said no in a day, I’d reach a number I haven’t personally counted to in a LOOOONG time!  Sophia is 18 months-old today.  I really wanted to celebrate today as a half birthday, but things didn’t go as planned.  It began with an early morning of crying and a swollen, achey mommy.  After a complete meltdown over a poopy diaper change, the day got off to a terribly start.  18-months old and I think I will say that the “terrible twos” have begun.  Her tantrum fits are taking on hitting and thrashing around, screaming and yelling “no,” running away, hiding and throwing herself on the floor.  Could we ask for a better time for this?  Really?  I actually wouldn’t be so upset about this stage happening now if it weren’t for the running away. She’s not listening to me when I ask her to do something, and on the way inside the house today she ran toward the street, laughing and thinking she was playing a game with me.  A car was coming but thankfully saw her and stopped.  She never made it off the curb, but I’ve never been more scared in my life.  I chased after her as quick as I could, snatched her up, and scolded her real good.  Something’s gotta change.  She can no longer be trusted to follow me indoors.  The hold my hand when we’re outside rule is officially in place.  Argh.  And, right before I have another one to hang on to…  Pray for me.

Parenting.  Yup.  We have definitely begun to discipline and punish.  I’m afraid I’m going to have a lot of adjusting to do as we really buckle down on Sophia’s behavior.  I want to discipline well, not out of anger and frustration but out of a heart that wants to guide her to good and safe behavior and her heart to one full of love.
