Magill testified that George Zimmerman had $197,567.00 at the time of his first bond hearing, but has to admit that was only at the time that O’Meara comes on as attorney.   Any amounts received prior to that time have not been accounted for to the courts directly however they can be traced through testimony.

The numbers spoken about in the jailhouse transcripts far exceed the amount that is disclosed to O’Meara. In addition, Magill testified that $49,486.96 was kept in cash by George Zimmerman.  The family is claiming it currently has $13,000 in cash on hand.

Magill testified that Zimmerman paid credit card bills, including American Express (which reopens access to those funds) and paid off a loan to George Zimmerman’s mom which would also theoretically make that cash available again.

After making a series of transfers on April 12th there was a balance of $79,000 in George Zimmerman’s main account. A transfer was also made to Shellie Zimmerman on the same day of $10,000.

On April 14th money was deposited into a safety deposit box and 4 additional transfers of $9,900 ($39,600 total) each were made.  According to O’Meara, in an attempt to accomodate the paypal rule of transfers being under $10,000.

After transfers, Magill testified that the balances in George Zimmerman’s and Shellie Zimmerman’s accounts respectively were $82,000 and $50,000 on April 16th for a total of $132,000.

On April 17th 5 transfers of (3) 9,900 (1) 7500 (1) 8000 which totaled $45,200.00

On April 20th cash was also given from Shellie Zimmerman’s account to his sister.  Expenses Paid on behalf of George Zimmerman on April 20th total $24,386.00.

O’Meara made a point to show that in 11 days, over $200,000 had come from supporters who felt Zimmerman was innocent.  He also presented a “mini-trial” but failed to point out that Zimmerman would have been aware that someone may have heard Trayvon Martin screaming “help” so his testimony is self-serving.

The judge in George Zimmerman‘s second-degree murder case said Tuesday that he expects to rule Thursday on whether to release the defendant or keep him locked up in the Seminole County Jail.

Circuit Judge Kenneth Lester Jr. made the announcement at the close of his afternoon court session.
