<title><![CDATA[Periods, Hate 'Em - 215.5]]></title>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class='snap_preview'><p>I won&#8217;t be the first and I certainly won&#8217;t be the last girl to say this.  I HATE MY PERIOD!  On one end I guess it somewhat says that I&#8217;m still of childbearing age and, should my body ever choose to have one, I could still have a kid.  On the other, it causes bloating, weight gain, CRAMPS, lack of energy and a complete and utter disregard for the fact that I&#8217;m trying to lose weight.  I haven&#8217;t been on my Wii Fit or exercised for two days now.  On the food front, lets just say that if it looks good, I&#8217;ve eaten it with no regard for calorie count. </p>
<p>Yesterday, I woke up very very late, around 1:30 p.m.  I just had no energy.  I ate a bowl of Cheerios and that was it until about 6.  That&#8217;s where we promptly went to Friday&#8217;s and I downed not one but two margaritas.  (Hey, they were $5)  I also had a big fat burger and some sweet potato fries.  Yesterday, I estimated that I downed 1,800 cals in a meal.  Add the cereal and I was over 2,000 yesterday.  So not good. </p>
<p>On the other hand, my hubby and I did rearrange the living room.  Unpleasant side effect, my back hurts this morning.</p>
<p>There&#8217;s a Cowboys game today, so we&#8217;ll be doing our usual and going to Yankee Doodles.  I&#8217;ll try not to eat or drink too much.  Of course, with the period monster, who knows what I&#8217;ll do.</p>

We are talking full throttle, Niagra falls style!  <a href="http://www.budgetsaresexy.com/2009/11/savings-rubber-band-balls.html?utm_source=feedburner&#38;utm_medium=feed&#38;utm_campaign=Feed%3A+budgetsaresexy+%28Budgets+are+Sexy.%29">J. Money&#8217;s blog</a> this morning compared savings to a ball of rubber bands and I can tell you, mine keeps falling apart! </p>
<p><strong>Breaking It Down For You</strong><br />
To illustrate my point about the money flowing out faster than it will ever flow back in, let me give you a few details. </p>
<p>1)  Today is payday! (That’s always awesome.)  So as of this morning I had $968.27 deposited into my account.<br />
2)  Immediately my loan payment was taken out which reduced it by $75.33.<br />
3)  My department store credit card payment was automatically taken out  $20.<br />
4)  I had to take money from the ATM this morning for school/kid costs of $10.<br />
5)  I bought groceries totaling $32.01.<br />
6)  Gas in the vehicle cost me $29.53.<br />
7)  Lastly, repayment of a loan from a friend was $50. </p>
<p>Okay, so to recap, this morning I had $968.27 to the good.  Then through the course of events I laid out, I am now $216.18 dollars poorer for a total of $752.09 remaining less than 12 hours later! <strong>OUCH! </strong> Considering I have yet to pay the big bills for the month, maybe I will be able to afford to eat the rest of the month, maybe I won’t.  Good thing rice is still cheap!  Lol.  </p>
<p><strong>My Master Plan</strong><br />
My master plan is to do what all the truly good personal finance bloggers suggest: </p>
<p>a)  <strong>Plan ahead. </strong>Scan the local paper, find the grocery sale items, plan my next week or two of meals around the sale items, scan the internet for applicable coupons to coincide with the sale items.  Try to avoid temptation from the non sale items that will be calling my name (Oreos, Chocolate, Twinkies, etc.) – easier said than done!</p>
<p>b)  <strong>Fix my budget.</strong> I currently don’t have a real budget. It is more like a poker hand. I take what I think I do the best with and throw the rest back for the next paycheck/month. LMAO! It is not a “genius taking over the world” kind of master plan, but it has been a hard habit to break.  So, that is on the list of must do’s.</p>
<p>c)  <strong>Negotiate.</strong>  By trying to negotiate lower payments and APR’s with my creditors, I may be able to save myself some serious troubles later on.  At this point, my credit score is shot with so many bad credit bullet holes, that it won’t do anymore damage to get some help.  If need be, I may have to enlist the help of a reputable credit counselor.  But I will take this one step at a time. I prefer to negotiate for myself, rather than leaving my fate in the hands of someone else, if possible. </p>
<p>I do have some of the worst money management skills in the universe but at least I’m not in denial, right? What do they say about the first step to recovery is admitting you have a problem? I don’t know if that’s true with money matters but it sure can’t hurt. </p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class='snap_preview'><p>A día de hoy existen un porrón de desarrolladoras y distribuidoras en esto de los videojuegos tras varias décadas de auge en el sector donde resultaba tentador subirse al carro aunque complicado hacerse un hueco en la industria, pero si existe una compañía pionera en estos menesteres es sin duda Activision, que celebra este año nada menos que su trigésimo aniversario. Poco queda ya de aquel humilde estudio fundado por el visionario David Crane y otros pioneros en el arte de la programación lúdica en el 79 para desarrollar  y distribuir por su cuenta juegos de Atari VCS y modelos posteriores como el 2600, pero desde luego, si a día de hoy es tercera compañía desarrolladora software que mueve más pasta es porque han sabido montárselo fetén y amoldarse a las exigencias de cada época.</p>

<p><!--more--><strong>Fuga de cerebros:</strong></p>
<p>Y es que al principio de los tiempos era la cosa mucho más jodida que ahora. Atari VCS fue sin duda la primera consola mainstream que dio un dineral a sus creadores. Hasta entonces el desarrollo de juegos corría a cargo de empleados internos cuya mención era prácticamente nula a la hora de poner a la venta el producto original, siendo lo peor del asunto que el salario de cada uno era totalmente independiente de los beneficios por su creación. Esta política fue fruto de algunos cambios en la dirección de la compañía por mandamases con muchas aptitudes empresariales pero poco conocimiento del funcionamiento interno de una desarrolladora de videojuegos, donde tan solo primaban los beneficios netos maltratando a la cadena de desarrollo como si de una primigenia Opel se tratase.</p>
<p>Esto le tocó las narices a unos cuantos programadores de la compañía, que decidieron salir por patas ante el descontento generalizado, aunque muchos acabaron volviendo al poco tiempo como subcontratas de la propia Atari pero cobrando bastante más que antes. Cuatro de ellos le echaron pelotas al asunto y fundaron su propia desarrolladora con autonomía para poder distribuir sus productos y hacer lo que les diera la gana. David Crane, Larry Kaplan, Alan Miller y Bob Whitehead se buscaron a alguien para que ejerciera de Director ejecutivo (el productor musical Jim Levy) y pusiera la pasta… et voilá! La “band of four” se salió con la suya.</p>

<p>La nueva política de empresa tenía unos estándares de calidad más altos que lo que se solía estilar por aquel entonces, prestando bastante atención además en la presentación de la caja, añadiendo capturas del juego en la contraportada que aclararan desde un primer momento lo que estábamos comprando. Y es que ya se sabe, muchos recordaréis el mal endémico de las portadas de Azpiri que nos hacía comprar un título por el dibujazo de portada. Pues ya sucedía eso años antes.</p>
<p>Los juegos que fueron apareciendo tuvieron un considerable éxito: Cheekers, Boxing, Skiing, Kaboom!, Stampide o Ice Hockey eran vendidos con el nombre de su autor antepuesto al título, pero sin duda, el título más identificativos de la compañía y que más repercusión tuvo en la industria por aquellos años fue Pitfall. Crane, casi sin saberlo, creó con su juego un nuevo género, el de las plataformas, que ahí es nada. Y es que había que tener mucho arte para innovar dadas las limitaciones del hardware de Atari, pero se las apañaron para ir realizando innovaciones en el código de sus juegos que ni los propios programadores internos de la empresa matriarcal conocían. Y ahí radicaba su éxito y el despunte de lo que publicaban, llegando a lanzar más de medio centenar de títulos al mercado en los primeros años de la década de los 80.</p>

<p><strong>Sobreviviendo a la crisis:</strong></p>
<p>Por un tiempo fueron los reyes del mambo. Hasta el 83 se estuvo produciendo un crecimiento exponencial en la empresa, multiplicándose el número de títulos en la calle, los empleados en plantilla (más de medio centenar) y por supuesto los beneficios. Pero como hemos visto ya varias veces en la industria durante los últimos años, cuando un producto tiene calidad y genera ingresos, tiende a ser copiado y clonado hasta la saturación, y eso es lo que pasó con la famosa crisis del software de mediados de los 80.</p>
<p>Todo el mundo vio un filón en el tema de la creación de videojuegos, y de golpe y porrazo empezaron a aparecer juegos de compañías recién fundadas con una calidad que dejaba mucho que desear. Eran producciones de bajo coste que veían reflejado el valor de producción en el precio final, por lo que las tiendas se vieron atestadas de juegos chungos y baratejos que aun así no se vendían ni a la de tres. La cadena siguió, y al no haber ventas, los inversores se asustaron y dejaron a la industria un poco de lado, las compañías más grandes vieron como sus ingresos descendían estrepitosamente al estar sus productos diluidos entre tanta mierda. Y eso a Activision le afectó tanto o más que al resto, con más desazón si cabe por el hecho de que aún en el 84 seguían lanzando juegos de envergadura, como la segunda parte de Pitfall o el basado en la película de Los Cazafantasmas, cuya licencia les había costado un huevo y parte del otro.</p>

<p>En un movimiento desesperado, Activision decidió desarrollar para otras plataformas como PC, Commodore 64 o Colecovision, pero las ventas no levantaron cabeza, y la marcha de Jim Levy como director ejecutivo fue el detonante para que los miembros fundadores se quitaran de en medio, con una terrible sensación de deja vú encima, todo sea dicho.</p>
<p><strong>Se hunde el barco:</strong></p>
<p>Bruce Davis fue el elegido como el nuevo CEO de la compañía, quien no hizo muchas migas con el resto de socios fundadores al tratar el desarrollo de juegos como un producto manipulable y prescindible consistente tan solo en hacer dinero. Viendo el percal y dadas las experiencias anteriores con gente así, tanto Crane como el resto de cabezas visibles abandonaron Activision en pos de un futuro mejor. Así, Crane co-fundó en 1986 Absolute Entertainment donde su único título digno de mención fue A Boy and his Blob para Nes, que pocos recordarán a estas alturas.</p>
<p>Antes de esto, Allan Miller y Bob Whitehead fundaron Accolade en el 84, con una carrera bastante reconocida hasta su absorción por parte de Infogrames en el 99,  a su vez casualmente comprada por la actual Atari. ¿Qué de vueltas da la vida, no? Otros trabajadores de la compañía tambien resultaron ser la semilla de compañías de renombre como Electronic Arts o Acclaim. Desde luego, con una cantera así no le haría falta al Madrid fichar al chusma portugués este.</p>
<p>Poco antes de la entrada de su marcha, Levy compró la legendaria desarrolladora de aventuras conversacionales Infocom. El nuevo Director ejecutivo no estaba de acuerdo con dicha maniobra, así que durante años posteriores, las relaciones del CEO con la compañía resultaron cuanto menos, tirantes, forzando en el 89 la disolución de esta. Para ser sinceros, dicha compra no resultó muy acertada, ya que los tiempos del tipo de juegos que trataban empezaba a quedar desfasada de cara a nuevos géneros como las aventuras gráficas, y su adaptación a los nuevos tiempos no tuvo buenos resultados.</p>

<p>Junto al anterior, otro de los factores que desembocaron en el batacazo definitivo fue la apertura de Activision al desarrollo de aplicaciones software. Para englobar todas las vertientes creativas en un solo contexto, se cambió el nombre de la compañía por Mediagenic, aunque no se dejó de lado el sector del videojuego, encargándose de distribuir juegos para consolas de 8 y 16 bits, pero esta nueva inversión para abrir horizontes no resultó para nada productiva, y en el 92 Mediagenic caía en bancarrota. Vamos, que se jodió la marrana.</p>
<p><strong>El resurgimiento:</strong></p>
<p>En 1992, Mediagenic fue comprado por un grupo inversor liderado por Robert Kotick, quien decidió orientar de nuevo a la compañía exclusivamente en la distribución de videojuegos y la compra estratégica de compañías punteras, volviendo a llamar a la empresa  por el nombre que nunca debió abandonar, Activision. Una serie de acertados movimientos hicieron recuperar a la compañía gran parte las inversiones pasadas y cubrir deudas fruto de una mala administración por parte del anterior CEO. Uno de los principales motores de la recuperación fue el uso de la licencia Mechwarrior para el desarrollo de videojuegos basados en el conocido juego de rol de batallas entre mechas. Este, junto a otros juegos que aprovechaban el mismo motor gráfico como Interestate 76 o Battlezone fueron los últimos juegos desarrollados por el propio estudio interno de la compañía.</p>

<p>Por otra parte, aprovechando viejas adquisiciones, se lanzaron dos packs recopilatorios con juegos de la vieja Infocom, cuyo valor para los nostálgicos reportó también buenos beneficios durante el primer año de la nueva etapa de la compañía, aunque a estas alturas tampoco sé yo a quien podía seguir gustándole jugar al Zork o alguno de esos.</p>
<p>A partir del 97, Activision tenía suficientes fondos como para aventurarse en la compra masiva y anexión de estudios. Algunos de esos movimientos fueron la compra de Raven Software en el 97, Pandemic Studios en el 98, Neversoft en el 99, Treyarch en el 2001 o Infinity Ward en el 2002. Igualmente, se encargó de hacerse con licencias interesantes para sus estudios, como el todavía vigente contrato para el desarrollo de videojuegos de personajes de Marvel Comics, el acuerdo con Lucasarts para las secuelas del Jedi Knight o el realizado con ID Software para las venideras secuelas de las franquicias Quake o Doom.</p>
<p>Todo este entresijo corporativo no hizo sino aumentar con el paso de los años, uniéndose a la fiesta otros grandes como Vicarious Visions, Redoctane o Bizarre Creations. La última gran maniobra de la compañía tuvo lugar en 2007, anunciándose un acuerdo con una de las subdivisiones de Vivendi Games, nada menos que Blizzard Entertainment, haciéndose llamar la fusión a partir de entonces Activision Blizzard, cuyo nombre eriza más los pelos que el de un transformer poderoso, como Fortress Maximus o algo así. De todas formas, la fusión fue a nivel corporativo nada más, y el estudio que parió ese destrozavidas que es el World of Warcraft sigue trabajando como un estudio totalmente independiente.</p>

Robert Kotick, quien sacó a la compañía de la bancarrota sigue, como máximo responsable de la misma.7000 empleados, oficinas independientes en una docena de países, incluido España, y unos beneficios netos de 5000 millones de dólares en el 2009. Lo que yo os diga, esta gente han sabido montárselo muy bien. Así que ya sabéis, antes de acostaros dadle las gracias a David Crane por haber hecho del desarrollo y distribución de videojuegos lo que es hoy en día. Joder, y por haber hecho el Pitfall!</p>

<p style="text-align:left;">Estamos en una época en la que lo retro está de moda, y las compañías lo saben, bombardeándonos con recopilaciones de sus títulos más vetustos incrustados como buenamente pudieron en un DVD, con la intención de sacar beneficios a través de la ley del mínimo esfuerzo, sin añadir nada que reactive el interés de dichos juegos.</p>
<p style="text-align:left;">Esta recopilación es algo totalmente diferente. Se nota el &#8220;cariño&#8221; que Activision ha puesto en él, preocupándose de llenarlo de guiños a los jugones y detalles fantásticos para que la experiencia de jugar a títulos con más de veinte años a sus espaldas todavía nos pueda resultar interesante, más allá de conseguir superar una determinada puntuación.</p>
<p style="text-align:left;">El aspecto estético, los desbloqueables, la música&#8230;todo ha sido cuidado al máximo para ofrecernos esta maravilla que tenemos delante. Sin duda alguna, la mejor recopilación de clásicos realizada hasta la fecha. Ojalá el resto de compañías tomaran ejemplo y este &#8220;Activision anthology&#8221; fuera considerado un modelo a seguir para futuras recopilaciones.</p>

<p style="text-align:left;">Finalmente, depois de um longo e tenebroso inverno, eis que surge em casa (ontem) a primeira edição da OLD!Gamer. Como o próprio nome diz, a revista é voltada para os fãs de games antigos, assim como aqueles que são jogadores desde os primórdios do videogame. O conteúdo vai desde o LINDO Megaman 2 &#8211; nem que seja só em imagens por enquanto *_* &#8211; até Phantasmagoria, jogo extremamente gore/sangrento/nojento/doentio lançado para PCs.</p>

Tem bastante conteúdo sobre MJ, mas ainda tem muito assunto.</p>

Hiroshi também é muito conhecido por ser o primeiro Kamen Rider e ele também participou como dublador de FF VII: Crisis Core e Kindgom Hearts II.</p>

Não posso esquecer de citar também os excelentes textos sobre Chrono Trigger, Phantasmagoria, Yo!Noid, Simpsons e uma matéria super legal sobre as Donzelas dos games. Vale a pena dar uma conferida no material, está muito bom mesmo! Tem até uma matéria sobre o Jaguar!! Animal, não?</p>
<p style="text-align:left;">Agora um ponto ÓTIMO sobre a revista: NÃO TEM PROPAGANDA!!! Cem páginas sem uma propaganda sequer! <content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class='snap_preview'><p style="font:14pt Angsana New,AngsanaUPC;" align="left">จากประสบการณ์การทำงานที่ผ่าน ๆ มา งานที่ต้องพัฒนาระบบมักจะมีปัญหาใหญ่ซึ่งหลีกเลี่ยงกันไม่ได้ นั่นก็คือเรื่องของ <span style="background-color:yellow;font-weight:bold;">เวลา</span>ที่ต้องใช้ในการพัฒนาโปรแกรม ในเมื่อเวลามีน้อย ปริมาณงานมีเยอะ โปรแกรมเมอร์ก็จะกลายเป็นว่า ทำในสิ่งที่ต้องทำตามที่ระบุไว้ใน program spec.  หรือตามที่ลูกค้าให้ requirement มาเพียงเท่านั้น โดยจะไม่ค่อยคำนึงถึงสิ่งที่น่าจะต้องทำ ที่โปรแกรมเมอร์ควรจะต้องระลึกไว้ประหนึ่งละลายอยู่ในสายเลือดนั่นเชียว</p>
<p style="font:14pt Angsana New,AngsanaUPC;" align="left">ซึ่งถ้าโปรแกรมเมอร์นั้นทำงานอยู่ในองค์กรที่มีการทำ Software Development Process อย่างเข้มแข็ง จุดอ่อนที่อาจจะมีก็จะโดนจับได้และให้กลับไปแก้ไขตั้งแต่ขั้นตอนของการ Testing นั่นแล้ว (ขึ้นอยู่กับความสามารถของคนที่เป็น QA ด้วย) แต่ถ้าเป็นบริษัทเล็ก ๆ ที่คน ๆ นึงทำทุกอย่าง หรือเป็นมือปืนรับจ้างฉายเดี่ยว แอพลิเคชั่นที่นเรานำไปมอบให้กับลูกค้า ก็อาจจะเป็นสิ่งที่มีรูร่องช่องประตูให้แฮกเกอร์เข้ามาเดินเล่นเย็นอารมณ์จนกลายเป็นที่หนาวใจของลูกค้าที่เป็นเจ้าของงานก็เป็นได้</p>
<p style="font:14pt Angsana New,AngsanaUPC;" align="left">อย่างแรกที่โปรแกรมเมอร์มักไม่ค่อยจะคำนึงถึง นั่นคือเรื่องการ Validate input field หรือการตรวจสอบข้อมูลที่ได้จากการที่ user กรอกผ่านเข้ามาจาก form ต่าง ๆ บนหน้าจอนั่นเอง</p>
<h1 style="font:18pt Angsana New,AngsanaUPC;color:blue;background-color:lightblue;">แล้วทำไมต้อง validate input field ด้วยล่ะ?</h1>
<p style="font:14pt Angsana New,AngsanaUPC;" align="left">เพราะการไม่ validate ข้อมูลที่ user กรอกเข้ามาจาก form นั้น เป็นบ่อเกิดของปัญหาอีกร้อยแปดพันเก้าที่จะตามมา (ในตอนถัด ๆ ไป ที่คงจะได้เขียนสักวันหนึ่งในอนาคตกาลข้างหน้าโน้น <img src="http://hippogeek.files.wordpress.com/2009/08/samwoo1_8.jpg" alt="" /> ) ทั้งในเรื่องของ SQL Injection, Cross-site script และอื่น ๆ อีกมากมาย ซึ่งเป็นปัญหาในเรื่องของความปลอดภัยของตัวแอพลิเคชั่นเอง</p>
<p style="font:14pt Angsana New,AngsanaUPC;" align="left">อย่างน้อยที่สุด การ validate ข้อมูลนี้ทำให้เรามั่นใจได้ว่า แอพลิเคชั่นจะได้ข้อมูลอย่างที่เราต้องการจะได้จริง ๆ</p>
<h1 style="font:18pt Angsana New,AngsanaUPC;color:blue;background-color:lightblue;">แล้วต้อง validate เรื่องอะไรบ้าง??</h1>
<ol style="font:14pt Angsana New,AngsanaUPC;">
<li><strong>ความยาวของข้อมูลในแต่ละฟิลด์ ต้องไม่ยาวเกินที่กำหนดไว้</strong><br />
ในฟิลด์ทุกฟิลด์ที่เราจะต้องนำไปเก็บลงดาต้าเบส โดยส่วนใหญ่แล้วมักจะมีความยาวสูงสุดที่กำหนดได้ (เช่น ฟิลด์ที่มี datatype เป็น varchar เป็นต้น) หรือมีค่า maximum สำหรับฟิลด์ที่เป็นตัวเลข (โดยเฉพาะกับภาษาที่ไม่มีการกำหนด data type เช่น PHP)  ถ้าไม่มีการตรวจสอบ ข้อมูลที่นำไปเก็บลงดาต้าเบสก็จะไม่ตรงกับที่ user กรอกมา</li>
<li><strong>data type ของฟิลด์ ต้องเป็นในสิ่งที่ควรจะต้องเป็น</strong><br />
กรณีที่ข้อมูลเป็นตัวเลข ก็ควรจะกรอกได้แค่ตัวเลข ไม่ใช่เอาตัวอักษรมาใส่ได้  ในบางฟิลด์ที่จะต้องนำไปคำนวนอาจจะทำให้เกิด error เช่น DIVIDED BY ZERO ได้ ถ้าเอาฟิลด์นั้นไปเป็นตัวหาร โดยที่ข้อมูลนั้นเป็นตัวอักษร</li>
<li><strong>ในฟิลด์ที่ไม่ควรจะให้กรอก html, javascript หรือ vbscript ได้ ก็ไม่ควรให้กรอกได้</strong><br />
เรื่องนี้เป็นเรื่องของการโจมตีโดยใช้ cross-site script คือ การที่เขียน javascript หรือ vbscript ลงไปในฟิลด์ เมื่อมีคนมาเปิดดูหน้าจอที่นำฟิลด์นั้นไปแสดงผล ก็จะทำให้ script ที่กรอกไว้ทำงาน ซึ่งอาจจะเกิดความเสียหายกับคนที่เปิดดูได้<br />
การป้องกัน อาจจะไปทำที่จุดอื่นที่ไม่ใช่การ validate input field ก็ได้ จะไว้เล่าให้ฟังในหัวข้อ cross-site script ต่อไป</li>

<p style="font:14pt Angsana New,AngsanaUPC;" align="left">สมัยนี้ javascript ที่เอามาช่วยในการ validate ก็มีเยอะแยะมากมาย ทั้งที่แจกฟรี และขาย โดยส่วนใหญ่ก็จะมีประสิทธิภาพในการตรวจสอบข้อมูลได้ดี และง่ายต่อการใช้งาน เมื่อโปรแกรมเมอร์เอา script พวกนี้มาใช้ก็จะวางใจว่า แอพลิเคชั่นของเรามีการ validate ข้อมูลแล้ว</p>
<p style="font:14pt Angsana New,AngsanaUPC;" align="center">แต่ช้าก่อน!!!!<br />

<p style="font:14pt Angsana New,AngsanaUPC;" align="left">เพราะแฮกเกอร์สามารถที่จะข้ามการทำงานของ browser โดยการยิง http request ส่งตรงเข้า Web Server (ซึ่งสมัยนี้ทำได้อย่างง่ายดาย เพราะมี Tools แจกบนอินเตอร์เน็ตมากมาย) หรืออย่างเลวที่สุด ก็ปิดการทำงานของ javascript ไม่ให้ทำการ validate ข้อมูลนั้น ๆ</p>

<p style="font:14pt Angsana New,AngsanaUPC;" align="left">นอกจากนั้นแล้ว ค่าต่าง ๆ ที่อยู่ใน hidden field, list box และ radio button ก็ควรที่จะถูกตรวจสอบอีกครั้ง ที่ code ส่วนที่ทำงานบน Web Server ด้วย เพราะแฮกเกอร์ก็สามารถใช้วิธีเดียวกันเพื่อแก้ไขค่าเหล่านี้ให้เป็นไปตามต้องการได้ และค่าที่อยู่ในฟิลด์เหล่านี้มักจะเป็นส่วนที่โปรแกรมเมอร์มองข้ามมากที่สุดเสียด้วย</p>
<p style="font:14pt Angsana New,AngsanaUPC;" align="left">เพียงเท่านี้ แอพลิเคชั่นของเราก็ดูเหมือนว่าจะปลอดภัยขึ้นมาอีกนิดนึงแล้ว <img src="http://hippogeek.wordpress.com/files/2009/08/samwoo1_4.jpg" alt="" /> แต่อยากจะให้คำนึงถึงเรื่องนึงไว้นะครับว่า การทำให้มีความปลอดภัยมากขึ้น มันต้องแลกมากับสิ่งอื่น เช่น เวลาที่ต้องใช้ในการพัฒนา เวลาที่แอพลิเคชั่นใช้ในการทำงาน (เพราะต้องเสียเวลาไปเช็คข้อมูลหลายรอบ และหลายเรื่อง) ดังนั้น ผู้พัฒนาแอพลิเคชั่นจะต้องเป็นคนตัดสินใจเองว่า จะต้องใช้มาตรการในการตรวจสอบและป้องกันเท่าใดถึงจะเพียงพอกับงานที่แอพลิเคชั่นนั้นเกี่ยวข้องอยู่</p>

<p>Anyone who has played an <strong>Animal Crossing</strong> game knows what a pitfall is and admit it: we&#8217;ve all fallen for it (no pun intended).  At some point or another we were happily walking along, hunting for fossils or maybe searching for balloon presents, when PLOP!–we fall right into the ground.</p>
<p>But what&#8217;s the point? Sure, you can prank your neighbors and friends with them, but do you really find enjoyment from watching others fall into a hole?</p>

<p>In the most recent <strong>Animal Crossing (AC: City Folk)</strong>, pitfalls are a little more common than I want them to be.  Every time I talk to Booker about lost items, another two or three pitfalls have been added to the collection.  Just this week I&#8217;ve dug up more pitfalls than fossils!  Pitfalls have even squirmed their way into Super Smash Brothers Brawl, which I admit makes sense. Personally, I am sick of them.  But apparently someone out there loves them.</p>
<p>What&#8217;s your opinion?</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class='snap_preview'><p>Well hello to all no one who will be reading this when published, but the odd someone who may bother to read back this far when the existence of this is more widely known in the future. This is my first proper world wide open book blog. After years of resisting a personal and open to all blog I have decided to jump on the band wagon after seeing some brave celebrities  and close friends take up the blog challenge without falling prey to the horrible pitfalls that have kept me away from the medium for so many years. These could include one or more of the following:<br />
1.	Some very strange person reading your blog and getting some very strange ideas, twisting what you write, and leaving nasty comments all over it<br />
2.	Some very strange person reading and stalking as a result of reading<br />
3.	Accidentally expressing an opinion in a blog post that you would usually stop talking about if in conversation with a friend and they looked uncomfortable. Without this physical reaction you could continue to witter on about a subject online, leaving your friend to read in horror, hate you for it, and decide not to be a friend anymore.<br />
4.	Having a bad day at work, and let’s face it anyone can have a bad day at work even if you have the best job in the world, and using the blog to moan about it. Then getting fired for moaning about it online, despite loving your job.<br />
After reading several blogs over the years, and seeing friends successfully avoid such pitfalls I feel ready to write about snippets of my life without inviting this sort of trouble. Hopefully! Of course if I suspect any of the above to be in the process of occurring this blog will just disappear overnight most likely, so if you want to keep on reading my witterings then play nice! That is all for this first post.<br />

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class='snap_preview'><p>As a professional private equity manager, it continually amazes me how people put their life savings at risk on a poorly researched, poorly planned direct investment.  </p>
<p>I was recently visiting with a 60&#8242;ish business owner who had spent $100,000 of his retirement money (over half his nest egg) to open a roasted nut house where he roasted and sold all types of nuts to the public.  It was a drive-in establishment called &#8220;Goobers &#8211; To Go&#8221;.  He was complaining about how he had not seen a single customer or internet order for the past 3 days and he was losing money everyday. </p>
<p>This was an poorly planned investement from the very conception.  This man liked peanuts, and thought everyone else would buy roasted peanuts as well.  He thought he could sell $5,000 worth every month from a rented location.  Besides being nearsighted and ill planned, this investment was very poorly executed and clouded by love, the businessmans love for roasted peanuts.  </p>
<p>As a private equity manager, this would never happen to my clients.  If we do not have market support for a program, a driving need, evidenced by diligent research conducted without emotion, then we are not an investor on any level for such a program.</p>

Frio, casa, chuva. Gripe, saindo de uma leve depressão e mandando um foda-se pros problemas por uns dias. Acho que vou fazer umas torradas com os pães duros que estão guardados esquecidos em algum recôndito obscuro da cozinha.</p>
<p>As torradas foram feitas:  elas viraram pedaços de carvão. Bom, nem todas, só as que tinham patê de alho (as melhores, por sinal). Definitivamente, sábado chuvoso na cozinha é um dia que não rende.</p>
<p>Telefone toca. Ou é a minha mãe dando notícias direto de Minas Gerais, meu pai perguntando se é pra trazer algo da rua, alguma amiga me telefonando (raro). Nada: banco me propcurando para cobrar uma dívida, que já disse que não tem como pagar enquanto estiver desempregada e numa situação financeira mais caótica que a do (falecido) Michael Jackson (drama da minha parte). Receber um telefonema de setores de cobrança bem no final de semana deveria ser proibido por lei; os problemas deveriam sumir no sábado e no domingo.</p>
<p>Sábado a noite:  frio, chuva, Coca-Cola (porque o uísque acabou), com vontade de fumar um charuto bastante encorpado. Eu queria ter um Opala 1976 pra sair dirigindo pela cidade agora, parar em algum bom boteco na região da Avenida Paulista e voltar só de madrugada (<em>no mood</em> para balada).</p>
<p>Ouvindo música o dia todo. Agora a Motown inteira canta seus sentimentos no meu Winamp &#8211; Marvin Gaye no momento que escrevo este parágrafo (How Sweet It Is). O bom dessa chuva toda foi que ela me acalmou, me deixou novamente serena &#8211; as três últimas semanas foram sufocantes, agonizantes e estressantes.</p>
<p>Programa pra mais tarde: ligar a TV em algum canal, deitar na cama e curtir o final do sábado. Mas antes disso uma boa partida de Pitfall (Atari 2600) vai bem.</p>

Basicamente, é uma missão rápida, mas bem difícil, já que existem diversos buracos espalhados por todo o cenário, além de moscas e muitas outras coisas para atrapalhar o jogador. Se você já tem a expansão, é uma das melhores missões baseadas em jogos já criadas até agora!      </p>
