Le nouveau pommier ‘Belle de Booskoop’ que nous avons été cherché jusqu’en pays nîmois justement, se nomme effectivement Adrienne.
Beaucoup des arbres du jardin de l’Aspre portent un nom. Ce sont nous qui les avons choisis ou des amis de passage ou ceux qui nous les ont offerts comme cadeaux de mariage.
La corbeille de la mariée était effectivement forestière. Nous avions répertorié dans un album les arbres ou arbustes que nous souhaitions planter et chacun de nos invités a pu s’il le désirait nous offrir l’un deux en le parainant en quelque sorte. Parfois , c’est tout un groupe d’amis ou toute une famille qui ensemble a eu le coup de coeur pour l’un d’entre eux!
Le premier arbre nommé, l’a été tout à fait par hasard. Partis en vacances, nous avions confié le jardin à mon fils alors adolescent, pour qu’il réalise les indispensables arrosages journaliers du plein été. La chaleur était si forte cette année là, qu’il a décidé à fort bon escient d’arroser de nuit et à la faveur de ses déambulations , il s’est pris d’amitié pour l’un de ceux dont il étanchait la soif. Un jeune liquidambar, alors pas plus épais qu’un crayon, lui a tapé dans l’oeil en quelque sorte, et chaque soir, il prenait des nouvelles de son nouvel ami Georges (prononcer Dgeorges à l’américaine).
A notre retour, nous avons trouvé cette idée très mignonne et avons commencé à nommer nos arbres, peu à peu ou lors de soirées de délire végétal.  Le jour du mariage, nous avions organisé une sorte de jeu de reconnaissance, un parcours au milieu de tous ces arbres, très anciens ou très jeunes, mais tous nommés et étiquetés pour l’occasion.
C’était, il ya plusieurs années et c’était hier!
Georges a bien changé, certains des plus anciens sont mourrants, beaucoup d’autres ont été plantés et depuis au moins deux ans, le jardin affiche officiellement complet .
La tramontane et le soleil ont arraché les étiquettes, brulé les rubans: je refais cependant de temps en temps une étiquette ou deux mais ce n’est pas encore temps pour cette tâche , il ya toujours plus urgent.
Ce printemps verra la plantation d’un palmier, ce sera vraiment le dernier arbre du jardin, je songe à l’appeller Zéphyrin, le premier arbre que j’ai planté au jardin de l’Aspre, le poirier d’ornement ‘Chanticleer’ se nomme Adam bien sûr, l’alphabet est fini et une certaine aventure aussi. Elle aura duré dix trop courtes années.
Rien ne s’est passé comme je le pensais, le jardin m’apporte de grandes joies et d’indicibles chagrins aussi.
Il ne sera pas comme je l’espérais mais il existe, ce n’est déjà pas si mal, cela m’a beaucoup coûté. Certains projets, utopiques demandent à être révisés à la baisse, coupes sombres dans mes rêves.
L’Adrienne sera planté la semaine prochaine, je vous montrerai de temps en temps son évolution.

Demain, c’est un prunier ‘Reine Claude dorée’ et pas ‘d’Oullens’ finalement que nous allons chercher, les deux arbres sont déjà au jardin, l’un beaucoup plus fatigué que l’autre et malheureusement bien sûr, c’est celui-là qui depuis une trentaine d’années donnait les meilleurs fruits. Nous allons prendre les devants et ne pas attendre le complet déclin de  Claude, bien sûr.
Le prunier ‘d’Oullens’ s’appelle Bayard, c’est lui qui, autofertile , pollinise l’autre.

La gestion des arbres fruitiers est beaucoup plus compliquée et astreignante que celle des arbres d’alignement.
Pour l’instant, nous n’avons pas de très bons résultats au verger.
C’est une section du jardin dont je vous parlerai souvent tant, elle va nous apporter de tracas et de travail!
A ce jour, le verger ressemble à un gruyère , plein de trous qui attendent leurs nouveaux occupants!
L’un pour le pommier, l’autre pour le prunier, celui-là pour le kaki muscat que nous déplaçons et le dernier pour le nyassa, égaré là, tout près d’un vieux cerisier bigarreau qui a déjà lui, sa relève, un peu plus loin.
Adrienne était la cousine de ma grand-mère, une femme solide et bienveillante qui bichonnait son minuscule jardin de ville à Amiens. On y trouvait presque plus de ciment que de terre libre mais si jeune que j’étais, je me souviens des plate-bandes d’aromatiques, des mignons parterres, des bordures de buis. Une fois, une seule,  j’y suis allée quérir les oeufs de Pâques…. je les ai vite découverts du coin de l’oeil mais j’ai fait duré le plaisir, j’ai toujours adoré parcourir un jardin et dans celui là, j’aurais peut-être pu  apercevoir quelques lutins…il était bien à leur taille!

We have had quite a few requests to provide décor ideas to hide unsightly air conditioning units in gardens. Badec Bros Deco specializes in feature walls, such as gabion feature walls. The Topsy Turvy Tomato Planter is the most recent rage in home plant gardening. It is bound to grow plentiful tomatoes in a upside down planter. It makes it so easy to choose the tomatoes, offers less bug Problems, and nearly no chance of the plant collapsing under the heavy strain of producing tomatoes but does it really live up to the guarantees that it makes?

Pros– It hangs upside down so the weight of your growing tomatoes will not topple over your plant.

The creative team at Badec Bros Deco was recently commissioned to manufacture a stainless steel, cascading water feature for a client. Firstly, we created seven Cubedec B pots – troughs – in varying dimensions from grade 304 stainless steel.

The stainless steel sheets were folded and welded together along a single seam line, to create a flawless overall appearance. Once all of the troughs were manufactured, we installed the water feature on site, with the lowest trough being filled with black pebbles.

Well, today is the official day. I went before my congregation and told them that I was ready to take a step of faith. This step takes me into the wild world of church planting. So, here I sit with a bucket full of questions and a desire to change the world.

I will be honest, God has shown up in so many different ways. This step has caused me to understand how He works. We want Him to do something before we move, but for some reason He chooses to act only AFTER we move. It was after we made the decision that comfirmations began to come… one after another they keep rolling in.

I won’t lie… it’s scary. In fact, it’s REALLY scary. I mean, here I am the father of three with a wife and responsibilities and God asks me to take my leg and put it over the edge of a perfectly good ship. I feared people being mad at me. I feared people being disappointed in me. I feared the impact on my former church. However, I’ve learned that God is still God in the midst of our changes. And He’s still the God of my family and the God of my old church and my God. He cares about me. He loves me. And He rejoices in me living a life of faith. I can only pray that these steps will bring strength to others as they strive to live out the plans of God in their own lives.

I don’t have a guaranteed tomorrow, but I know He’s with me today. And, honestly, there’s no place I’d rather be!
