Mientras rodaba calle abajo, recordé los viejos tiempos. Años en los que podía caminar horas, incluso días, sin cambiar de forma. Por aquel entonces, el mayor de mis problemas solía ser esquivar a los niños que, con su afán por conocer, cada vez que veían un juguete nuevo, o que ya conocían, se paraban a divertirse conmigo. En aquella época, lo más probable era que terminara pasando 2 o 3 días con ellos. Una vez llegué a transformarme en una chapa, pues era con lo que jugaban entonces y tarde varias semanas en cambiar de forma y ser un avión de papel.

Aunque no lo creáis tengo 127 años y en todo este tiempo he conocido más de mil niños y he disfrutado de la forma de un millar de juguetes, PlayStation, Nintendo DS o Wii . Pero hay algo que me preocupa. Cada vez hay más juguetes y esto significa que cada vez es más difícil encontrar a la otra Luna de Cartón. La única manera de conocer mi forma real y mi nombre.

Y con este pensamiento frené. No era un pié lo que me sujetaba sino una hondonada en un parque. La noche se me echó encima y allí amanecí.

En una presentación que detalla los planes de Sony para finales de 2010, revelaron que quieren actualizar todas las consolas PlayStation 3 para tener soporte de 3D.

Esto se arreglaría con una actualización en las consolas actuales y el PlayStation 3 no solo será capaz de soportar esta tecnología sino que también habrá juegos específicos que usen esta característica de lleno.

Por supuesto que para jugar en 3D necesitas una televisión que lo soporte y si el PlayStation ha ayudado tanto con la penetración del Blu-ray en el mercado, no suena raro que Sony lo use una segunda vez como caballo de Troya para vender televisiones.

Después de ver en el pasado E3 el juego de Avatar en 3D yo si estoy decidido a comprar una tele que lo soporte.

Vía Hacker News y OS news, he visto que IBM dejará de desarrollar nuevos procesadores Cell, cancelando el proyecto del sucesor del procesador PowerXCell-8i. ¿Habrá cambiado Sony su elección de microprocesador para su siguiente videoconsola? ¿Podría estar relacionado con el cese de soporte para el Linux en las nuevas PS3? The Pentax K-x isn’t the only one getting its rainbow array on. A leaked survey for Sony’s PSPgo asked participants what colors they would potentially buy or would like to see released. Granted this is a survey, these colors may never get released.

Colors are usually used to boost sales for products. With the PSPgo not looking like much of a contender because of it’s “download only” content, Sony could use some reloads. Nintendo sure knows that, seeing as how every time they release their DS hardware in new colors, buyers go crazy.

User Review

I did not think I needed yet another remote control because I thought the six-axis had everything it needed for movie playing on the PS3 and, yet, I bought one. There were 2 initial reasons:

- my wife was missing a ‘magic wand’ shaped remote for playing movies
- Amazon had it at a great price in one of them lightning deals

I ended up using it myself and, in fact, using it for more than just movie playing – see below.

But, let’s do a quick inventory of features:

= It’s blue-tooth enabled and, therefore, it’s not taking any ports on your PS3. This is probably important for anyone who has a “2-USB ports console”.
= It’s wand-shaped, allowing the non-gamers to control their movie-watching activities while holding a familiar-shaped device in their hand.
= It maps ALL the six-axis buttons and performs everything a six-axis would do, except for the joystick features of R3 and L3 (but you do have the push-down or ‘click’ abilities for them).
= 2 AA battery powered (still with the original Sony batteries after 4 months of use)
= Includes additional buttons that the movie-only users would expect on a remote such as:
+ a number pad
+ eject
+ red, green, blue, yellow buttons
+ play, stop, pause
+ slow(step), scan(left/right), prev/next
+ display, top menu, pop up menu, return
+ subtitles, angle, audio

What is interesting about this remote is that you can use it for much more than movie-playing. Given that it has all the six-axis buttons, guess what? You can use it, and I do use it to:

- surf the web
- play music
- shop at the PSN store
- play certain games such as Sudoku
- turn the PS3 on/off when your six-axis controllers are in the charger and I am playing GT5 that is using a racing wheel

And, yes, you CAN turn the PS3 on and off with this remote. Turning it on is easy – you simply press the PlayStation button and the PS3 turns itself on. To turn it off, you either go as far to the left on the X-bar and all the way up and press Enter (the turn-off PlayStation icon will be highlighted) or you simply hold the PlayStation button pressed for a few seconds and then select ‘yes’ and press the X button a couple of times.

Overall: I am happy with this peripheral. Yes, it’s one more remote control but it’s a pretty good one, for the reasons I stated above.

Notes – Aug 29, 2009, after 16 months of use

I find that I’m using the remote more and more, not only for playing movies but for navigating the XMB and at the PSN Store, also when playing music or slideshows. Due to its very convenient arrows wheel with an ‘enter’ button in the middle, navigating the PS3 and doing just about anything other than playing games is a lot easier than using the PS3 game controller. Unlike the controller which normally requires two hands to hold, this is basically a one-hand operation where you hold the remote in one hand and operate the wheel with your thumb. And because it’s Bluetooth, not IR (Infrared), you don’t even need to point it at the PS3.

And, one word on battery life. After about 15-16 months of operation, this is probably the third set of batteries so I’d estimate battery life to be about 4-6 months. Not too bad.

I’m Not sure why I got this controller. I suppose it was an impulse buy more than anything else. It doesn’t really do anything that the regular controller doesn’t do, it just looks different. The controller is wireless, too, so it’s not like you get any extra portability. It serves it’s purpose and works great, but as long as you have a controller you really don’t need this.

I can only give the remote 3 stars overall though. The buttons should glow or have backlighting. A few of the buttons could be labeled better or located more prominently. But as far as Sony remotes go, this is pretty good. The bluetooth functionality is great. It eats batteries like crazy. Many people are incorrectly reporting that this remote does not have a power button. In a sense, that is somewhat true. Any button on the remote will turn on (wake up) the PS3. This was a bad idea, they should have limited the wake-up functionality to the “PS” button in the center of the remote. This center “PS” button is also the “off” button. Simply hold the button down for about 3 seconds and the PS3 will ask if you want to turn it off, push the OK button, it shuts down. As more and more AV components migrate to bluetooth remote control, I’m sure we will see universal remotes (like the Logitech Harmony) come forth with bluetooth capability. This remote will tide me over for a year or so until that day comes. …Hopefully before the PS3 has become obsolete.

OK, I admit I’m new to the PS3, but I’m quite knowledgeable about technology in general and I am a certified PC technician.

First of all this is an amazing piece of technology for the money. An IBM cell 8 way processor with built in Blue Ray, Wifi, graphics, bluetooth, 250GB hdd etc., for $350.00! I would have only dreamed of being able to buy this at this price point ten years ago. I had preordered this thing on Amazon and was surprised to get delivery of it the day after it was released. Bravo Amazon!

I did find the setup of this beast a little intimidating. OK, I admit, I didn’t read the directions, but knew intuitively what needed to be done. Connect the cables, power it up, then try and get it on my wireless network. First of all I have a very strong security framework on my router. I use a 64 bit random WPA key with MAC filtering. The first thing I did is have it auto detect the network. No problems here, found my network name just fine. Then it asked for my security key. Here is where the fun began. I know I could attach a USB keyboard, and in retrospect, that would have been much easier to input the key. However, I didn’t have a USB keyboard laying around anywhere. So – on I went with inputting it using the dual shock controller. This was a bit unintuitive to learn how to use. Once I got the hang of it, no problem. I then inputted the key and told it to connect. It wouldn’t connect. Then I figured out I had MAC filtering and would need to find the MAC address on the thing. That was pretty straight forward but now I found it didn’t keep the security key I had spent 20 minutes typing into it before. ARGH!!! So I went through the process again and this time it connected.

Next, I found it was using an older operating system so I had it update it online. I guess I was kind of dissapointed that Sony didn’t have the latest operating system on this thing since it was so new – but guess it missed the cutoff on that one. This took about 45 minutes sice I have a pretty slow connection out in the country. That worked fine. Now I had to input and register on the PlayStation Network. Also no problem, but time consuming.

Now, I’m just about done, but I found out I had to register the bluetooth controllers. This also was not very intuitive. You mean it doesn’t just find them and register them on their own? Nope. So I went through the procedure of registering the dual shock controller on separate channels. BTW, you also have to charge them up through the USB connectors while the PS3 is powered on.

I also bought one of the BD bluetooth remotes. I put the batteries in and went through the procedure of holding the start and enter buttons until the menu changed on the screen. Nothing happened. I held it for five minutes. Still nothing happened. I tried literally everything and it still didn’t work. I got on the forums and didn’t find much out here so I could only assume it was a bad remote. Then I pulled the batteries that came with the remote and tested them. They tested perfect. Hmmmmm….very frustrating. For grins, I thought I would change the batteries with a fresh pair of alkaline batteries. Guess what – now it registered! Go figure!!! I’m glad I tried that because otherwise I would have sent the remote back. Why would Sony put batteries in this thing that won’t drive the remote properly?

So – Hooray – now it is set up and everything works. Only took me about 2.5 hours. Granted, I have a very secure network, didn’t read the directions, and have never used a PS3 before but to be honest, I think Sony needs to do some work to make this thing easier for people to set up. I couldn’t imagine giving this thing to my parents and expect them to set it up without them screaming and throwing it through the window in frustration.

I still give it 4 stars, but for a new user, I think Sony still has some work to do on making the setup process and menus easier to use. Now that it is set up, everything works great.

The technology, graphics, and capabilities of this console are awe inspiring. You can find used games on Amazon for a song, and the blue ray player in this thing is excellent. Probably as good as any player out there. I really like the wireless controllers and also like the stealth size of the PS3. I hear virtually no noise from it that others have complained about and actually think it is very well built. I like the capability to upgrade the hard drive in the future and only wished I had a faster network where I live as downloading demos takes me forever.

All in all this is a killer device. If Sony would make the setup process a little easier I think this thing would be perfect and a solid 5 stars. To be fair, it is a very complex piece of gear and with this much functionality, there is a lot to learn.

Your mileage may vary from mine, but this was my experience with it as a brand new user. If you are looking for a gaming console and need a blue ray player anyway – this is a no brainer.

By now, the PS3 has been extensively reviewed and this latest iteration (the “slim”) has been out in the 120gb format for 2 months now (since September 1st, 2009).

To summarize the benefits:
- Slimmer, lighter, and more energy efficient than the prior “fat” PS3
- Blu-ray player built-in
- Netflix streaming (yay!)
- Free online service (vs. subscription based X-box live)

The negatives:
- No backwards compatibility with PS2 games
- Bluetooth remote only (and not included, so need to purchase a remote to use as a dvd/blu-ray player, no IR (but a number of bluetooth-to-IR solutions like Logitech Harmony Adapter or Infra-red to Bluetooth Adapter)
- No more Linux support

With Blu-ray player prices now dropping to the $100-$150 range, the PS3 makes for an expensive option as a Blu-ray player only. As a home media center player/HTPC device, it really shines and is a great deal (you can’t build a HTPC with a blu-ray player for less). It IS somewhat limited, however, as a HTPC as its browser is not up to par. Too bad Sony dropped linux support for the PS3. The addition of Netflix streaming (currently requiring a disc but supposedly becoming native in a future firmware update) just ices this cake.

Supersized Slim – consider the alternatives,

Briefly, the PS3-250 is the exact original PS3 ‘Slim’ with a twice as large hard disk.
I had the opportunity to actually see and use a PS3-250 on the Sunday prior to its launch. As I expected, the only difference between the ps3-250 and the PS3-120 is the larger disk with everything else the same.

The Slim is hitting stores September 1 in North America and Europe and will cost $299 (or for those who live in regions, 299 euros or 29,980 yen). Hirai says the device has the same features and functions as the “old” PS3 but is 33 percent smaller, 36 percent lighter, and comes with a 120GB hard drive.

Sony says that to achieve the new form factor, the internal design architecture of the new PS3 system has been completely redesigned–”from the main semiconductors and power supply unit to the cooling mechanism.”

The PS3 Slim is powered by a new 45nm version of the Cell processor, which runs at the same speed as the 60nm processor in the “old” PS3 but is smaller and more energy efficient. According to company reps, power consumption for the Slim has also been cut to two-thirds, “helping to reduce fan noise,” which is important.

MY TEST DRIVE IMPRESSIONS The good news is that you can do just about everything you did with the PS3 80/160GB models and in the exact same way. During my test ride, I was able to play all the games I brought with me without a problem, the Bluetooth remote controller was recognized immediately and so was the Playstation Eye. Both a USB-dongle full-size wireless keyboard, a USB-connected wired keyboard and Sony’s own Bluetooth mini-keyboard worked as expected. I was able to upload pictures, videos and music from a USB thumb drive and a USB-connected SATA 2.5″ hard disk and play them in the same way I do it on my own PS3. The person who allowed me the test drive suggested that I do not sign into the PSN but I have no doubt that the Slim behaves exactly like its predecessors on the PSN, running HOME or while browsing the Net. The Slim has the exact same ports in the back, the same buttons in front – albeit ‘push’ buttons instead of the ‘touch’ buttons, the same 2 USB ports, comes with the same Dualshock 3 controller, USB cable and Composite AV cable accessories. The older PS3s weren’t particularly noisy but the Slim seems to be more quiet and, after several hours of play, it didn’t get as warm as my Classic. The ONLY 2 USB ports bother me a little because I brought along the Eye, a USB-wired HDD, a USB keyboard and a dongle-based wireless keyboard. That meant that I had to do a lot of plugging and unplugging when testing. In real life, it’s not so convenient to charge a controller and access more than one USB-connected peripheral. There are third party generic USB hubs (ugly) or PS3-specific port extenders and media hubs that could be used to increase the number of USB ports and bring back the media card slots. My overall impression of the Slim is “nothing new” at least on surface. The “cooler, quieter, smaller, more energy efficient” you don’t notice while playing a game or watching a movie. The really great news about the Slim is that so many more will be able to afford it and, with a larger user base, more developers will feel more strongly motivated to publish more, better games that all of us will enjoy. THE SLIM (PS3) vs. THE ‘XBOX 360 ELITE FALL 2009′ This is not meant to be a ‘fan’ statement. I don’t own a Wii but I do own an Xbox 360 so I will be able to discuss PS3 Slim vs. Xbox 360 Elite and, hopefully, it may help a little those undecided between the two or those thinking about getting a PS3 as a second gaming console. Please be aware that, even though I own both consoles and I try to be as objective as possible, I do tend to favor the PS3. Parity —— - Storage: 120 GB on both systems - CD, DVD playback: both - Bluetooth/IR: Bluetooth included with PS3, Infrared remote for Xbox - Community: PSN/Home memberships are free, Xbox Live includes free Silver membership and one-month Gold subscription, paid thereafter Advantage PS3 Slim —————— - Blu-ray: PS3 only. Blu-ray disks aren’t used for HD movie playback but to deliver games as well. Since they store several times more data than a DVD disk, PS3 games can be ‘bigger’ and be still delivered on one disk, eliminating the need for swapping during gameplay. - WiFi: included with PS3, available as an add-on for Xbox. - HDMI 1.3a on PS3 (more vivid colors, better sound) vs. HDMI 1.2 on Xbox - Controller: wireless on both systems, rumble on both, PS3’s only is motion sensitive, rechargeable batteries built into PS3’s, Xbox rechargeable battery packs available for purchase. - Integration with a handheld device: PS3 integrates with the PSP, the Xbox offers Zune integration. I would call it ‘advantage PS3′ because the Zune integration is limited to file transfers. - Internal power supply: yes for the Slim, a large external ‘brick’ for the Xbox. - Ability to upgrade the Hard Disk: the PS3 could use any cheap 2.5″ SATA on the market (a 500GB can be had for $90 at the time of this writing and the existing PS3 disk can be recycled to upgrade a laptop or as external storage) without voiding the warranty. I am not aware Xbox HDD upgrades beyond 120GB but, judging by the 120GB upgrade HDD for the smaller models, they are likely to be proprietary, more expensive solutions. - Slim comes with USB, Ethernet and Composite cables, Xbox has only Composite in the box. Advantage Xbox 360 Elite Fall 2009 ———————————- - Headset: not included with PS3 but any Bluetooth device will work, wired headset included with Xbox Elite. - Ethernet: PS3 supports Gigabit Ethernet, Xbox is limited to 100BASET-T. - USB ports: Xbox comes with 3, Slim has only 2. It seems that a PS3 Slim can be brought to parity with the Xbox 360 Elite by purchasing a Bluetooth headset (possibly for less than $10 and that would make the PS3 a superior choice since the Xbox headset is wired to the controller. For the amount, the PS3 will match and surpass Xbox feature for feature if we don’t factor in exclusive Xbox games or unique Xbox Live features. To bring the Xbox 360 Elite to parity with the PS3 one would need: a WiFi adapter ($70) and rechargeable batteries ($10). I will not add the various cables to the list because, depending on setup, they may or may not be needed and PS3’s Gigabit Ethernet is not likely to make a difference in anyone’s gaming or movie streaming at this time. $80 would bring the Xbox closer to the PS3 but the Xbox won’t support Blu-ray, does not have a motion sensitive controller, can’t function without an external power supply and, Zune withstanding, it does not integrate with a hand-held gaming device. In addition, continuing the Xbox Live Gold beyond the initial month would be another $30-50 per year for the life of the Elite. I chose not to factor in the quality of available software because it’s impossible to be even remotely objective when it comes to judge Sony’s exclusives vs. Xbox exclusives. My guess is that, in the end, those who must have Halo will buy a Microsoft Xbox regardless of cost or other features and those who fall in love with Little Big Planet or Uncharted have no choice but a Sony PS3. The general consensus is that, at this time, the PS3 has the superior hardware (see above) while the Xbox has an advantage in exclusive titles and some exclusive content. In addition, many multiplatform games are developed on the Xbox first and then ported to the PS3. That can make the Xbox versions appear to be superior and, more importantly, the PS3 versions do not always take full advantage of PS3s superior hardware. This seems to be less the case as developers are becoming more familiar with the PS3 platform – the software gap, if there is one at this time, it is closing fast. ESSENTIAL ADD-ONS AND ACCESSORIES For those who decided that the PS3 Slim is what they wanted, the list below may help them budget for the extra purchases they may want to consider. There are surprisingly few extra a PS3 REALLY needs and I listed them in order from what I view as the more to the less important or needed. Those at the top are, in my view, more ‘essential’ than the ones at the bottom, but with the exception of the HDMI cable which is a must have for an HD TV set, you could easily do without the rest or get them later if you really feel that you want them. - HDMI CABLE – It’s a must for anyone who already has an HD TV. It’s not included in the box and I am not going to provide a link because there are dozens of vendors at Amazon, competing and that’s a good thing because one can be had for only a few dollars. Just make sure it’s HDMI 1.3. A ‘High-Speed’ rating is not necessarily a plus if the cable you need is only 3 ft. or 6 ft. long. After shelling [...] for the PS3 80GB back in 2008, I was really excited to hear that Sony not only announced a smaller version of the PS3, but also implemented a [long-overdue] $100 price cut. I immediately went out and bought the Slim as soon as possible, and am very happy with it so far. Here are my impressions: COMPARED TO PLAYSTATION 3 “FAT” A LOT SMALLER I heard that it was smaller, but seeing is believing! The photos don’t do the system justice, and it’s not really till you see and feel the difference that you are impressed with it. If you can, go into your local game store and check it out for yourself! If you’ve previously owned a Playstation console, you already know the difference the slimmer version makes when compared to the original, bulky ones. What’s really convenient is that the slimmer PS3 not only means your video gaming is more portable, but that you have a really convenient Blu-Ray player. NOT A FINGERPRINT MAGNET I love the sleek look of my PS3 Fat, but don’t like how it constantly needs to be cleaned. The glossy finish is a fingerprint magnet! The matte finish on the Slim is much easier to maintain. That being said, it doesn’t look as shiny and cool, but I think its convenience outweighs that. MORE STORAGE Storage was never an issue for me on my 80GB system, but for those who wanted more storage, you get 40GB more with this system (120GB in total). It may not seem like much, but you can hold MANY movies, pictures, and music albums with 120GB. If that’s still not enough, you can always install a 2.5″ hard drive yourself, or better yet, plug in an external hard drive in one of the USB ports. You can easily get a portable 500GB external hard drive for less than $100, or a bigger, bulkier one with around 1TB of storage for roughly the same. That being said, I think 120GB for $300 should be more than enough for most users, and is a significant improvement over the 80GB for $400 that people were paying just a few weeks ago! STILL NOT BACKWARDS COMPATIBLE This is my one major gripe with the Playstation 3. It really wouldn’t have killed Sony to include this feature, as the original Playstation 3’s did in fact include backwards compatibility with older Playstation 2 games. A lot of people counter by either saying (1) it doesn’t make sense to buy a PS3 to play PS2 games, (2) the graphics on the PS3 are better anyway so why bother with older games, and (3) including backwards compatibility would cannibalize PS3 game sales. While those arguments might have their merits, I’m still frustrated that my massive PS2 library can’t be played on the PS3, and was really hoping that Sony would include backwards compatibility on the Slim! I loved the fact the PS2 was backwards compatible with PS1 games, and really wish that Sony would reconsider this decision. COMPARED TO OTHER SYSTEMS: PS3 vs. WII I think comparing the PS3 directly to the Wii is a bit like comparing apples to oranges, since they offer such different experiences. The Wii in my opinion is more family-friendly, while the PS3 is better for more graphics-intense games geared towards different gemographics. I’m a huge fan of Nintendo, and I love their very family-oriented game offerings. I own a DS and Wii and still love Mario as much as the days back when I played the original Nintendo (NES). In addition, I think Nintendo’s motion-sensitive controllers for the Wii are very innovative and fun to play with! Unfortunately however, for most gamers, the difference in game quality is noticeable when comparing the two systems. The PS3 has AMAZING graphics. On an HD Television, you notice such crisp details while playing the PS3. The Wii features only Standard Definition output, which noticeably weakens it when compared to the other next-gen consoles such as the PS3 and Xbox 360. PS3 vs. XBOX 360 Microsoft has an impressive gaming console in their Xbox 360 and there are some amazing titles exclusive to the Xbox, but in the end you get less bang for your buck when compared to the Playstation 3: (1) Online gameplay: You can use the Playstation Network’s online features without having to pay a subscription fee like you do for the Xbox. I was never a big online gamer but now I enjoy playing against opponents online. (2) Internet connectivity: Built-in wireless internet connectivity on the PS3 is a much better bet than having to buy a wireless network adapter for the Xbox. Of course you can simply rely on a wired Ethernet connection, but this might be inconvenient depending on your set-up. (3) High-Def Video: The Playstation 3 doubles as a Blu-Ray player. Microsoft bet on the wrong horse when they were hoping that HD-DVD would come out the winner in the high-def format wars. If you want a Blu-Ray player/video game system combo, the PS3 is a great device. (4) Failure rate: The Xbox 360 has an absurdly high failure rate, with estimates ranging between 30 to 50% ([...]). I can’t verify the numbers, but know from my friends who own the Xbox 360 that they’ve had a fair share of grief with their systems. Microsoft does have a few edges, namely the upcoming Project Natal, unveiled at June’s E3. While Natal may ultimately be one of the most amazing advances in video gaming, it unfortunately is still some time off from being implemented. That being said, the Playstation 3 is much more worth the cost than the Xbox 360 – at least for now. FINAL THOUGHTS [...] system that doubles as a Blu-Ray player. Keep in mind though that the bulk of money spent on the video game system will not be in the initial down payment, but the subsequent games, extra controllers (only comes bundled with one controller), and other peripherals/accessories. Sony’s refusal to incorporate backwards-compatibility for PS2 games on the PS3, however, might make your gaming library obsolete in a few years, so if you have the money, you’re best off going for the PS3 Slim. You won’t regret it.

PES 2010 is finally released today. Seen by many as the last chance for Konami to regain ground lost to main rival FIFA, PES 2010 is a huge release. If you saw my impression pieces last week you won’t be surprised by the review – PES 2010 offers the best on-pitch videogame football experience. But will it sway you from FIFA?

Forget the lack of official licences, restricted online options and occasionally incomprehensible menu – Pro Evolution Soccer has always delivered where it matters most, on the pitch. PES 2010 continues the trend and is simply a joy to play. The action is fast, instinctive and expressive. Aerial through balls are a particular delight but cushioned first-time passes and accurately weighted crosses are all a joy. Headers feel much more realistic now too, with the players responding realistically to your timed button presses.

For the first time players can use 360 degree control when moving players. Initial discomfort soon gives way to a greater feel on the pitch, with plenty of room to improvise as you create space for a cross or shot. The action feels slightly slower than 2009 but is still much faster than main competitor FIFA. A typical PES game is more akin to the recent 4-3 Manchester derby than the continentally paced FIFA.

While the pace of the game is often unrealistic the player models are not. All the big players look the part, particularly facially.

One of the biggest improvements over 2009 is the online play. Yes, it lacks the 10vs10 and player leagues of FIFA 2010 but it is not much easier to set up games, especially 2 vs 2 games with friends. Lag is much improved too.

Offline players will spend most of their time in the Master League mode. Like the rest of the game this has seen a much-needed presentation upgrade and will entertain those looking for a longer term challenge than the Champions League.

Away from the pitch the main improvements are cosmetic. The menu screens and music are finally bought into the 21st Century. The commentary is as appalling as ever although the responsive crowd noise – quiet when you score an away goal, cheering when you make a last ditch tackle – makes up for it. The new card system, that allows you to tweak player and team tactics, is less successful though, primarily because it is hard to notice any difference on the pitch.

Many PES players have moved over to the ever improving FIFA and there’s no doubt that the more realistically paced and fully featured FIFA 2010 is an excellent football package. But performance on the pitch is where it really matters and PES 2010 wins that battle.

Sai o novo trailer do game The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks, game exclusivo para Nintendo DS, vem com novidades. Pela primeira vez, nosso querido heroi Link terá compania em sua jornada.

A Princesa tera um papel novo no game, agora, mesmo sequestrada (o que acontece em quase todos os capítulos da franquia) ela tera que ajudar Link.  Apenas o espírito dela seguirá Link, já que seu corpo foi roubado. Depois de anos de seções de jogos para sarar…

Estava eu em um belo dia quente e louco de São Paulo procurando novidades para postar a vcs sopradores, quando de subito me deparei com esta noticia: “Sairam novas imagens do filme do The King of Fighters que esta sendo rodado em Vancover no Canadá”. O filme tem como elenco  Ray Park que é (ou acha que é) o Rugal, ao lado da canadense Monique Ganderton (Mature) e da  Bernice Liu (Vice). Maggie Q (Mai), Sean Faris (Kyo), David Leitch (Terry), Will Yun Lee (Iori), Françoise Yip (Chizuru) e Sam Hargrave (Ryo) também estão na bagaça. O roteiro é da novata Rita Augustine e a direção do chinês Gordon Chan (O Medalhão).

Depos do fiasco do Legend of Chun Li, parei de esperar por filmes bons dos jogos de luta. Mas bateu um desespero vindo de longe, escondido em minha mente nerd…logo pensei “NÃO !!!!!!!!!!! VÃO DESTRUIR MINHA INFANCIA NOVAMENTE….NÃOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!”

Os jogos do The King são bons, tanto que fez muito sucesso no fliperamas (eu adoro o 97, pra mim o melhor). O novo jogo ficou graficamente tão bom quanto Street 4, claro que street é melhor, mas ambos têm seus aspectos e caracteristicas distintas, por isso me revolto, ambos os jogos devem ganhar filmes a altura e não tosqueiras. Pra quem não viu o jogo novo tai.

To até vendo  (ou talves eu quebre a cara criticando…) mas acho que vai feder tanto quanto Undefeatable de 1993 (nunca viu?!?!? Duvido ver esse video…)

Af, pra ver Undefeatable o cara tem que ser carne de pescoço viu KKKKKKKKKKKKKKK…

Para quem gosta de estourar zumbis, essa vai ser mais rapida do que bala voando no espaço aereo Brasileiro…

Left 4 Dead 2 chega com um trailer novinho em folha. Confira a carnificina que é o jogo:

Vem de cara nova com cenários, mapas, sobreviventes, armas e tipos de zumbi (Resident rsrs) novos. Vem com uma plataforma  mais avançada, com inteligência artificial aprimorada com o software AI Director 2.0. (o que isso qeur dizer tio du?!?!? Sei la rsrs mas deve ser bom rs).

Tambem foi disponibilizado no game o modo “Realismo”, a Valve revela um vídeo desse modo, desenhado para os viciados de plantão em jogo de tiro (jony X rs).

Imaginem que os Pacotes de saúde foram trocados por desfibriladores, é nescessario precisão nos tiros na cabeça para acabar com os mortos-vivos e até a proximidade entre jogadores e itens diminuiu para que eles consigam apanhar as coisas. O numero de zumbis  é maior e os  superpoderosos também. Veja!

Nem preciso falar quem ta bolando o game né….

…Ssssssssssssim meus caros sopradores nerds que assim como eu procuram novidades e velharias na net (ou não rs), a NINTENDO (já falei que a dona do bigodudo é froid?!?! rsrs) vem com o  Ghostwire, um jogo para DSi, que simplesmente  emprega o conceito da “realidade aumentada” (de acordo com o zoiomelete : “linha da ciência da computação que integra o mundo real a elementos virtuais”). O trailer do jogo ta aqui em baixo.

Os caras bolaram para que vc possa caçar os fantasmas (que nem o Egon rs) no mundo real. No game DSi vira um “portal para o plano astral”, através do qual os usuários podem ver e colecionar fantasmas que existem no nosso mundo, invisíveis para nós. Ao encontrar os fantasmas, o jogador deve interagir com eles para descobrir os motivos que os estão levando a assombrar aquele local e tentar ajudá-los a encontrar paz.

A jogabilidade exigirá o uso da câmera (com os fantasmas projetados sobre o ambiente real), microfone e a tela sensível ao toque.

E aí galera, estou um tempinho sem postar (sou um lerdão mesmo XD), bom, desta vez é uma rapidinha, mas das boas huaa huaa…Bom galerinha, este video meu irmão me mandou por e-mail e achei fantástico. É um video em Pixelation (vertente do Stop Motion) que é feito com Lego. O barato é que tanto a música quanto a animação é baseada no 8 bits do nintendinho. Bem legal. Opaaaaaaaaa tem animação boa chegando…

A animação longa-metragem de Dante’s Inferno, saindo em DVD e Blu-ray, ganhou seu primeiro trailer. veja abaixo:

Como o poema clássico de Dante Alighieri, a trama seguirá o protagonista, Dante, em sua jornada através dos nove círculos do inferno em busca de seu amor perdido, Beatriz.

Olha que bacana, para representar os nove círculos, de acordo com o  Omelete,  a EA e a produtora Film Roman chamaram varios estúdios para animar cada cenário. Joe Goyette esta na produção e Victor Cook, conhecido pelas animações de Hellboy, dirige.

No passado, Star Trek e nerd eram sinônimos (vide The Big Bang Theory). É claro que com atritos entre os fãs de Star Wars…

Bom…voltando ao assunto

Depois de sair o filme, querem ressurgir aquele espírito que existia em que cada nerd que era fã de Star treck e  queria sua própria nave (principalmente os que falam Klingon rsrs).

Para isso, a  Cryptic e a Atari mostraram um novo vídeo para deixar os fãs de Star Trek loucos. trata-se do novo MMORPGs Star Trek Online, video este dedicado a uma das raças favoritas dos fãs, os Klingons!

O game para PCs deve chegar às lojas em fevereiro de 2010.

Particularmente eu gostaria que volta-se essa febre em star Treck (mas acho difícil), os tempos são outros, mas é bacana para quem não conhece esse universo tão rico e criativo que é Star Treck. Mas tenho que admitir que eu gostava mais de Star Wars do que de Star Treck rsrs mas gostava dos dois rs.

Apesar de toscas hoje, as lutas na época eram dramáticas rs (serio pra época eram rsrs). Cara eu não esqueço a treta que teve entre Spock e o Capitão Kirk

Embalado em God of War e Dante’s Inferno, chega mais um game épico…essa é mais rapida que aérolitos no Chapolin…

Sendo produzido pelo estúdio Vigil Games, da THQ, Darksiders: Wrath of War vem com tudo, com arte dos personagens feita por Joe Madureira e graficos absurdos. Confira algumas artes conceituais do game:

Com lançamento para 8 de janeiro, o game se passa em um mundo pós-apocalíptico, onde o jogador poderá usar tanto armas modernas como mitológicas, tudo isso controlando o quarto cavaleiro do Apocalipse, ninguém menos que GUERRA. De acordo com oráculo (google), Guerra desce a terra para descobrir quem disparou o apocalipse prematuramente.

De acordo com o Omelete, que  experimentou o game, ele esta com cara de God of War misturado com os chefes de fase de Zelda . O game será lançado para Xbox 360 e PlayStation 3. Veja abaixo alguns trailers e vídeos do game:

Sei que a maioria pode não  curtir games assim, mas eu particularmente adoro esse tipo de jogo (sei que é clone de God e tal) e a história me parece interessante. Bom só jogando pra dizer, vamos aguardar sair.

Estava eu entediado fuçando no yotuba, quando me lembrei dos filmes do Jack Chan. Sou fã de carteirinha do Chinês e lembrei-me de uma homenagem que ele fez em um de seus filmes, sei que vcs ja devem ter visto, mas pra quem não viu eu lembro pra vcs.

hauhauhuahu …cara o Dalshin e o Guile são cômicos rsrsrskkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk.

Tirando alguns filmes, eu diria que as cenas de ação feitas por ele são fodasticas. Até hoje o meu filme de luta favorito é o Drunken Master 2, que foi traduzido no Brasil (ou melhor SBT) como “rei do Drunken Boxe”. Sou mega fã do estilo bêbado dele, usado em vários animes como Dragon Ball (Jack Chun) e outros.

Segue as senas de Drunken Master, o primeiro filme do Chan como protagonista de 1978 (filmes antes só como duble).

Uma das melhores cenas de luta que já vi e o que foi considerado o melhor filme que ele ja fez Drunken Master 2…
