I just found a live Corgi cam.

I have 2 dogs, so I watch them. They both are Corgi mixes, but I simply can’t get enough of watching puppies. I’m actually looking forward to their feedings and play time.

It’s been rainy today and we were disappointed that we couldn’t get to the playground. But my two youngest entertained themselves, spending most of the morning playing “dogs” in their bedrooms. It’s very cute. They crawl around on all fours, woofing and wagging their bottoms. A bit gross when they start licking things though…

Every Thursday I got to an art gallery with my good friend.  We are (were) both art majors so it gives us time to have girl time and get some art into us.  It has it’s good days, and days we’re we walked out more confused about what we had looked at then when we had walked in.  I look forward to it every Thursday.  The great thing about the gallery is it’s dog friendly and it’s bring your own beer!  Can it possibly get any better.  Living in a college area sometimes has it’s benefits, most of the time there is none though, so don’t think the grass is greener on the other side for us!

This Thursday, for Halloween, I found a little bad dog costume for Aladdin.  I thought it would be fitting to go to the ‘Bad Dog’ gallery.  Everyone loved it.  We looked at some art and I got some pictures with Aladdin attempting to look at art!  His little friend Ender even came with dressed in a skeleton (my good friends dog), and they had a great time playing with all the other dogs there!  We had an excellent time!

There was this performance tonight, it was kind of weird.  We weren’t really sure what was going, and I was also afraid that Aladdin might bark at her or something.  Part of the performance was throwing these tissue balls filled with flower at the singer.  I guess the whole piece at to do with sex.  I didn’t want Aladdin to chase one of those thinking everyone was playing with him.  But he sat right on my foot and just looked at her.  He started to shiver, Julio and I weren’t really impressed with the performance, so we said goodbye to our friends and headed on home.  He’s so tuckered out!

Tuesday, for training tuesday, we accomplished bow.  It was difficult because he just wants to lay down.  So I’m trying to slowly reward him for keeping his bottom up longer and longer.  My goal is to slowly turn it into, “Say Thank you” and he bows in response.  I think it will be cute!

Work is just more and more irritating with more and more ridiculous rules.  I love how a pencil pusher tries to tell me what is and is not safe for my job as a groomer.  I hate it when someone tells me how to do my job when they have no idea what my job is like.  They are trying to make me buy new shoes and I already have expensive groomer/nursing shoes.  It just makes me angry.  Until they officially work in my shoes, I feel they shouldn’t be able to tell me what is safe for me to work in.  I know my conditions, and trust me, I don’t want to get hurt because then I’m out of a job, and therefore I would be out of an income.  I need to seriously start thinking about opening my own grooming shop.  End of story there.

My good friend (the one I go to the art gallery with) is doing a piece on Aladdin.  She’s going to water color in his markings and it’s going to be life size.  Speaking of which, I need to measure him out!  She is then going to take words and outline him in very small print.  From far away, it looks like an outline and close up you see all the little intimate words that goes with him.  Simple nicknames like critter and my little smuggled mexican baby.  Also words that describe him and the commands he knows.  We need a lot of words because it’s going to be a life size piece!  I’m super excited to see it come out!  Don’t worry, I’ll post a picture when she’s all done.  When they take it down from her art building, I’m going to get it framed and when Julio and I finally move out and get our own place, I’m going to make sure I hang it above where his bed goes.  It will be his little area.  Toys, art, and all!

Tomorrow we have to take Aladdin back, it does make a little sad, but we have a very eventful couple of days together!  I can’t wait until I get to take him again!

I am just learning to use the video option on my camera. Of course, “my kids” are my stars.

As you can see, my brother, K, has the chuck it in his hand and Weston has just returned from running after the ball that was thrown with the chuck it. He’s a happy guy…. uh, Weston that is, though K is probably happy too. It’s pretty fun playing with our little man, he’s got tons of personality.

This is Weston’s favorite ball, at the moment. It changes, sometime daily. But more often than not, this is the one he wants us to throw. It’s the ball that came with the chuck it. He loves the chuck it.

This pretty much sums up Weston’s weekend. He had a great time. He loves weekends. Why? Because usually he gets to be with both of us all day, all the time. It makes him happy. Here he is being happy on the chaise on our front deck. We recently got an umbrella so it’s not as hot sitting out there. He loves to run and chase a ball, then bring it back up onto the chaise where he sets it down and then revels in his victory. This is him reveling.
