The LIB’s and DEM’s had to pass a RESOLUTION in a back door way of making OBAMA legal to be president. 

I contend that this is in itself not constitutional nor legal and at the very least – IT DOESN’T PASS THE ETHICAL LITMUS TEST. 

It smell and sounds like dirty pool to me.  This is not what would be called “in the intent” of the constitution.  It really doesn’t sound like it would pass any vein of Law.

Free speech is not by definition NICE speech.  The idea of free speech is so that everyones opinions can be aired. 

I am not partitial to Alex Jones.  I agree with some things and I disagree with even more, but he has a right to say whatever it is that is he can say as long as it doesn’t call for the bodily harm of others.  As far as I know, he has not done anything like that. 

The freedoms that we have come to understand as the natural state of laws and adherences are coming in to question.  What is HATE speech and why does our government and the governments of some other free world countries, with extensive “human rights” laws, looking at banning some speech?  This is in direct opposition to thier standing on HUMAN RIGHTS.  The banning of speech that is not “lude” and doesn’t ” call for bodily harm” IS NOT speech that needs regulation. 

Many of us have heard about Geert Wilders, the Dutch parliamentarian currently on trial in Holland because he criticized Islam. It’s shocking to many that you could be charged with a hate crime for expressing an opinion, but such prosecutions are not unheard of in the Western world beyond American shores. After all, most nations have nothing tantamount to our First Amendment. But could such a thing happen in the land of the (mostly) free as well?

Frightening Taste Of Internet Censorship As Major Free Speech Websites Blocked

With influential proponents recently calling for a newly regulated world wide web, we got a preview of how that might look this past weekend after both Infowars.com and Prison Planet.com were completely blocked to many Internet users in New Zealand.The block was only removed early this morning following a raft of complaints after both websites were unavailable on many ISP’s since Friday.As the New Zealand based InfoNews website reported yesterday, both of Alex Jones’ flagship websites were blocked by ISPs using Asia Netcom for their international internet traffic.It is important to stress that we receive emails on a weekly basis informing us that our websites have been blocked as “hate speech” or “offensive material” at Internet cafes, libraries, transport hubs, workplaces, and numerous other buildings not only in the United States but across the world. The censorship is being done at the ISP level, so whereas some people in a particular country will still have access, others will be blocked.As we reported in 2008, London’s St. Pancras International, which millions of people traveling across mainland Europe pass through every year, completely blocks Prison Planet, Infowars and even more mainstream political websites as a matter of course In 2007, MySpace admitted their policy to censor and filter out posts containing links to the Prison Planet.com website, adding that the MySpace server automatically blocks such information. The social networking giant, as well as others such as Facebook, periodically block links to Alex Jones material and only revoke such filters when people complain.In 2005, Time Warner subscribers from New York to California reported that their access to Infowars and Prison Planet had been blocked due to “hate speech,” before their access was restored.UK ISP Tiscali also blocked the websites following the 7/7 London bombings in 2005.Infowars’ social network was also blocked by libraries in the U.S. in 2008 using Safesquid and Google filtering software.We receive numerous reports every single week of Alex Jones’ websites being blocked by ISPs and by filtering software in public buildings.“An avid fan of Infowars.com and a 9/11 truth activist, Jeff Mitchell, reported on Saturday that he contacted his ISP, Orcon, to establish what was causing the block, and was advised by a computer technician who did a trace route, that the break in traffic to the two websites was found to be occurring at Asia Netcom’s router in Sydney,” stated the report.The websites were blocked on every ISP that relied on Asia Netcom as its upstream provider, including Woosh, Telecom, Slingshot and Orcon.According to Duncan Blair, Head of Brand and Communications at Orcon, access to content hosted on the Limelight content distribution network, including Infowars.com and Prison Planet.com, was blocked as a result of a “technical issue”.

“I’m the person who half-made this story possible by calling my ISP,” wrote Jeff Mitchell in a comment on Prison Planet. “Just want to report that infowars.com is now working for me, even though it was down all weekend! We complained to ISPs and they were “very concerned” about censorship; that, combined with this article on prisonplanet could very well have been the reason for us regaining access.”Whether the problem was down to technical issues or deliberate censorship, the fact that ISP’s can selectively block certain websites at the flick of a switch gives us a frightening preview of what a Chinese-style government regulated Internet would look like, which is exactly what influential insiders are calling for.The move to impose centralized government control and regulation of the free Internet has accelerated over the past 12 months.Last week, Time Magazine enthusiastically jumped on the bandwagon to back Microsoft executive Craig Mundie’s call for Internet licensing, as authorities push for a system even more stifling than in Communist China, where only people with government permission would be allowed to express free speech.During a recent conference at the Davos Economic Forum, Mundie, chief research and strategy officer for Microsoft, told fellow globalists at the summit that the Internet needed to be policed by means of introducing licenses similar to drivers licenses – in other words government permission to use the webInternet censorship bills currently working their way into law in the UK, Australia and the U.S. legislate for government powers to restrict and filter any website that it deems to be undesirable for public consumption. 1) Government might ban conspiracy theorizing. 2) Government might impose some kind of tax, financial or otherwise, on those who disseminate such theories 

The ominous spectacle of major free speech websites going dark in supposedly democratic countries is a shocking portend of what the establishment wants to impose on a widespread basis. Only by screaming bloody murder in defense of the last true outpost of free speech – the Internet – and threatening boycotts and aggressive public relations campaigns can we counter the insidious move to silence the only remaining open forum of lawful dissent.

Look at the CNN worm.  She is impertinent in trying to counter his statement.  Apparenlty, she doesn’t see that taking away personal liberties as offensive. Her mouth is offensive.  Communist!

The mainstream media doesn’t get it

You’d think that now that Black is the new black, Black people would have gotten over all this sensitivity to black stereotypes. But alas even with a Black president, a Black Miss America, and the fact that Black people continue to set the standard of cool in the United States and therefore the world, political correctness and oversensitivity  to stereotypes continues to rear it’s ugly head. 

In honor of black history month the cafeteria at the NBC offices offered the special menu pictured below.

Apperently people got offended at the stereotype being perpetuated by serving fried chicken in honor of Black history month, forcing the cafeteria to change the menu. To those people I say…seriously?? My only minor issue with this menu…other than the absence of sweet tea as a beverage choice…is that fried chicken is no more a black dish than green bean casserole is a white dish (okay maybe green bean casserole is white but my family insists on having it at Thanksgiving anyway). Most black people I know can’t even make good fried chicken. Of course most Black people I know are too bougie to prepare fried food in their house for fear they’ll never get the smell out of their precious fabrics, but that’s a side issue.  Fried chicken just happens to go well with collard greens, so does fried catfish. Maybe they would have gotten less flack if they would have tried to serve catfish. 

Anyway my point is, this is a stupid thing to get offended over. Had they have served chitterlings then maybe they’d have a real reason to get offended. You don’t see Asian people getting offended if they include rice on the menu for Asian Heritage appreciation month. They actually might get offended if you left the rice off.

I think this offense stems from  from a notion that anything widely associated with Black people is something to be ashamed of. Let’s just pretend for a moment that fried chicken actually was a “black” dish. Why should enjoying a dish that was prepared and perfected by your ancestors be a source of shame?? Hello, fried chicken is delicious! America loves fried chicken. It’s just wrong that if you’re Black and you happen to like a dish that’s as widely embraced as fried chicken that people try to make you feel like you’re setting your people back 100 years. So what if soul food is a throw back to slavery. If anybody should find any shame in that chapter in American history it’s white people. Isn’t  the public exploitation of white guilt supposed to be one of the perks of black history month??? (j/k…sort of)  If we were making real progress it would be okay to enjoy whatever the heck you like regardless of whether it feeds into a stereotype.

I’m so tired of Black people feeling the need to go out of their way to prove to white people that the stupid stereotypes aren’t true. Why do we still even care what they think of us? Do all Black people like soul food? Of course not. Do a lot of Black people like it? Absolutely! And I unashamedly am one of them. I have a pot of collard greens in the fridge right now  that I’m looking forward to eating later on.  I’d have fried chicken too if I knew how to consistently make it without it either coming out burnt or raw (and if I knew an easy way to get that fried grease smell out of the carpet*).

The woman who put together the menu at NBC defended her food choices saying she just wanted to prepare a menu that people would enjoy. I’m totally on the chef’s side in this. She prepared a menu that in her eyes gave honor to some of her ancestors, who happened to make food that was freaking delicious, and the blasted PC mongering TV types at NBC couldn’t even appreciate her efforts. This nonsense must stop!

*Oh snap! I just remembered that’s what Febreeze is for! I might try to get my fried chicken game up if I get snowed again in two days.

The religion of peace has fostered a great society. The society thats created ….
Well – I’m not sure what it’s created. I’m sure that it’s created something. Lets look to the middle east. What has the great religion of peace created since it’s own creation in the 7th century. Everywhere in the middle east you go, you can see what effect Muslims have in the region. No where is it more telling than in Lebanon and Israel. Lebanon, used to be a wonderful vibrant city, until Islam’s rule. Israel’s Jerusalem quarter is a great science experiment. The quarter where the muslims occupy is dirty and in disrepair. They blame the Jews. If it was not for the Jews the muslims would not have anything, not even water. They have done nothing for themselves. They are like the ticks on dogs. Thats why they call us dogs and pigs. We are their hosts. Without the host the Muslim would not exist. It’s the way that they survive. They create nothing, because it’s not possible. The family does not exist in a multi partner situation. The inner turmoil in the most elemental building block of society doesn’t allow for the construction of a foundation from which anything can grow. This is why you see muslims living in muck everywhere.

Iraq is even worse -

The American and British media should be charged with providing cover (aid and comfort) to the enemy by not giving us the truth about the cultures.  They foster a lie about these societies. 

What is peaceful about these countries. 

The crimes of these women are that they were born to that society.

These poor children- My heart cries for the girls and children. 

Islam is evil.  For a mother or father to allow a child of theirs to go through this is inhumane.  Those are not parents.  They are not even dogs.  They would elevate their condition if they just become the dogs that they say Jew and Christians are.  The Koran is EVIL.

This is why the American public was behind the WARS.  To stop this sort of thing.  This is the type of thing that gave the WARS we were fighting the ammunition.

The main stream media and the politicians have hidden our eyes from this.  This should be part of nightly broadcasts.  Calling the MUSLIM inhuman and sub animal.  They are not of warm blooded creatures if ones own parent allows this treatment of ones own children

BAGHDAD (AP) — A Shiite militant group in Iraq has posted an Internet video showing an American it says it abducted and who appears to be a contractor reported missing by the U.S. military.

The U.S. Department of Defense said Friday that American contractor Issa T. Salomi, 60, went missing Jan. 23 in Baghdad and that search and recovery efforts were under way, but it released no other details. The U.S. military in Baghdad on Saturday confirmed Salomi is missing but would not provide additional information.

In the video, the man — who did not identify himself — says his abductors from the League of the Righteous are demanding the release of militants and the prosecution of Blackwater security contractors accused of killing 17 Iraqis in 2007 in Baghdad.

“The second demand is to bring the proper justice and the proper punishment to those members of Blackwater company that have committed unjustifiable crimes against innocent Iraqi civilians,” the man said. “And to bring justice by proper compensation to the families that have been involved in great suffering because of this incident.”

Blackwater security contractors were protecting U.S. diplomats when the guards opened fire in Nisoor Square, a crowded Baghdad intersection, on Sept. 16, 2007. Seventeen people were killed, including women and children, in a shooting that inflamed anti-American sentiment in Iraq.

There was no way to verify the authenticity of the video, but a high-ranking Iraqi defense official told The Associated Press that Salomi was abducted by the militant group in the central Baghdad district of Karradah. The official said Salomi is of Iraqi origin and that his abductors lured him to Karradah under the pretense of visiting distant relatives.

The official spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to release the information.

“We obviously hope for his safe return,” Pentagon press secretary Geoff Morrell said. “We aren’t certain of the circumstances under which he disappeared.”

The Department of Defense said the missing contractor is from El Cajon, California.

Salomi’s family issued a statement, released through the FBI in San Diego, saying they were hoping for his safe return. The statement did not say whether Salomi was believed abducted.

“We are confident that everything is being done by the most capable people here and abroad to bring Issa home safely, and we all are anxiously awaiting his safe return,” the statement said.

The man in the video is seated in a chair and wearing what looks like a U.S. military uniform. Behind him is the black banner of the militant group, also known by its Arabic name, Asaib Ahl al-Haq.

He says his captors were also demanding the immediate withdrawal of the U.S. military from Iraq.

The militant group’s Web site claimed the man in the video is an American officer.

The same group was believed to be behind the kidnapping of British computer consultant Peter Moore in May 2007 along with his four British bodyguards. Moore was handed over to Iraqi authorities in late December. Three of the bodyguards were killed and the fourth is believed dead.

The British government has said no deals were struck for Moore’s release, though it coincided with the transfer of the head of the militant group from U.S. to Iraqi custody.

Qais al-Khazali, along with his brother, were accused of organizing an attack on a local government headquarters in the city of Karbala that killed five U.S. soldiers on Jan. 20, 2007.

California and Texas are the largest publishers of textbooks.  The rest of the nation follows.  The educators that write these histories  are changing text that the children of this country will be learning.  The best way to conquer opposition is to erase the history of the past failures that it fostered.  The terrorist countries want us to change these books, because they are in this WAR to win.  Sun Tzu’s war theories dictate that the way to win a war is to win the hearts of the people through empathy and sympathy, then the minds (through changing the understanding of what is right or erasing the history of the enemy to make them vulnerable to the offensive psychological subversions) and last is to foster the strength of the country (youth and criminal element)  to the side of the now mis understood enemy.  If all these are subverted, then the last and telling blow can be militarily achieved.  Basically, softening the enemy before the last fatal blow.  This is easily achieved, when the enemy has metastasized within the host.

Mathew Staver on The Huckabee Show this Weekend to Discuss Changes to Textbooks

This weekend Mathew D. Staver, Founder and Chairman of Liberty Counsel and Dean of Liberty University School of Law, will appear on Mike Huckabee’s show to discuss potentially dramatic changes to the framework of textbooks that are being discussed by the Texas State Board of Education (TSBOE). Huckabee and Staver will be revealing suggested changes, some of which are still under discussion. The show will begin at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday and 2:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, Eastern Time.

TSBOE will soon finalize the language that textbook publishers use to align their textbooks to current standards. As Texas is a leader in textbooks, most other states purchase the same educational materials. The textbook controversy in Texas affects every American because, to have a bright future, we must know our past. America has a rich past founded on Judeo-Christian values and to forget them, or worse, to distort them, will doom our future. Those who want to reshape America begin by rewriting our past. We repeat the mistakes of the past when we are ignorant of them.

Some of the suggestions that have come forward at various times include:

• Removing references to Daniel Boone, General George Patton, Nathan Hale, Columbus Day, and Christmas.
• Including the cultural impact of hip hop music, ACLU lawyer Clarence Darrow, and the Hindu holiday of Diwali.
• Replacing the term “American” with “Global Citizen”– stating that students need to be shaped “for responsible citizenship in a global society” without any mention of citizenship in American society.
• Replacing expansionism and free enterprise with imperialism and capitalism.

The Board’s next meeting is in March and the final reading and adoption of the social studies guidelines will be in May.

Islamist Lawfare Defeated in Texas

Libel suits are not normally associated with national security, but a case the Texas Supreme Court ruled on January 15 carries just such implications. The suit against internet journalist Joe Kaufman is a prime example of how libel law can be manipulated to stifle dissemination of information about terrorism and radical Islam.

It arises out of Kaufman’s September 28, 2007 FrontPage Magazine article on the Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA), which sponsored a “Muslim Family Day” at Six Flags Over Texas. Kaufman vowed to protest the event citing, among other things, ICNA’s alleged “physical ties with the Muslim Brotherhood and financial ties to Hamas.”

Within days, Kaufman was sued, but not by ICNA. Rather, seven Dallas area Islamist organizations, none of them named in the article, sued Kaufman for defamation arguing they were implicated by inference since they too sponsored the event. In June 2009, a Texas appellate court dismissed the case before it could go to trial because “a reasonable reader who was acquainted with [plaintiffs] would not view Kaufman’s statements as ‘concerning’ them.”” Undeterred, the seven Islamist groups asked the Texas Supreme Court for review.

In what Kaufman termed a “victory for freedom”, the Court rejected their petition and let the appeals court decision stand.

This result is important for two reasons. First, plaintiffs had argued that Kaufman, as an internet journalist, was not entitled to certain procedural protections afforded traditional media defendants that make it easier for them to get libel cases dismissed before they reach the costly trial phase. In a precedential ruling, the appellate court rejected this contention finding generally that “an internet communicator may qualify as a member of the media”.”

Second, the lawsuit fits a growing pattern of Islamists exploiting libel law to silence critics. They file questionable suits knowing they need not win to intimidate, demoralize, and bankrupt opponents. For example, in 2006, a Saudi banker’s mere threat to sue prompted Cambridge University Press to pulp unsold copies of a book on terror financing titled Alms for Jihad, and to request American libraries to remove their copies from circulation.

That this tactic of “lawfare” may have had a role in the Kaufman case, was suggested in a May 17, 2009 broadcast of Crescent Report hosted by Mahdi Bray, executive director of the Muslim American Legal Society Freedom Foundation. After personally castigating Kaufman, Bray explained, “we’ve got to be willing to spend our money in a court of law … and not necessarily because we’re going to look for money, but … to spend our money and make you spend your money.”

The appellate court found the plaintiffs could not even meet the basic requirements for proceeding. However, as a bid to use legal fees to bleed Kaufman into submission the suit was much more promising. In fact, Kaufman would almost certainly have been bankrupt well before the case was dismissed were it not for the legal and financial aid of those dedicated to defending journalists from the threat of lawfare, including the Legal Project of the Middle East Forum and the Horowitz Freedom Center.

Kaufman explained that the plaintiffs’ goal was to stop him from criticizing “those who wish to do harm to the United States, specifically those tied to the extremist Muslim Brotherhood.”” Last Friday’s decision has frustrated these Islamists designs.

A Texas tradition of vigorous commitment to free speech is evident in its founding documents. The 1836 Texas Independence Constitution went even further than the First Amendment by guaranteeing an affirmative “liberty to speak” rather than simply restricting governmental interference with debate. The Texas Supreme Court’s decision preserves this legacy and we should applaud it.

 This area of Brooklyn used to be predominantly Jewish- Hasidim (“Jewish Puritans”). That was not very long ago. This area is comprised of Coney Island, which was part of Brighton Beach, which was either Russian on one side or Italian on the other side. Wow! I had visited the area about 3 years ago. It’s shocking. America is not there anymore. I didn’t see much of it. People who enter become part of it, but never really part of America. I met someone who was too scared to leave the area for a vacation somewhere else in America. She would only go back to her home country and right back to Brooklyn. Amazing. It’s like they live totally outside of AMERICA. It’s really a horror story. I felt sorry for her. She seemed like a prisoner. I was relieved to leave.

Where have all the Tony Manero’s gone? 

After the disruption of a late-2009 terror plot by an Afghani Muslim, we posted on the origin of the plot – the Flushing area of Queens, N.Y. and its conversion by Afghani immigrants into   Little Kabul . 

More recently, in a Global Post article, author Matt Beynon Rees introduces readers to his latest work of fiction set in the Brooklyn, New York neighborhood of Bay Ridge.  

Thirty-some years ago, Bay Ridge was the setting of another tale many will recall, that of Tony Manero and Saturday Night Fever. Today, as Rees and others note, Bay Ridge - an area that was once a first line of defense against the Redcoats – has been transformed into “Little Palestine.”  

In “The Fourth Assassin,” Omar Yussef comes to New York for a U.N. conference. He visits the Bay Ridge neighborhood of Brooklyn, which these days is becoming known as “Little Palestine” because of the steady influx of immigrants from the West Bank. 

Little Palestine isn’t a community of Palestinian intellectual emigres of the kind that emerged in most major Western capitals during the 1970s. It’s a new wave of mostly young men who come to drive taxis and work several jobs, until they can afford to bring their families over to join them. Theirs is the typical American immigrant story, in fact. Except for the FBI investigations. 

Except also for the, not-so-typical of other American immigrants, intolerance of non-Muslims, particularly Jews. In Bay Ridge, ‘Palestinian’ Muslims protest the existence of the state of Israel, chanting “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free.” A chant shouted by Muslims that calls for the elimination of Israel to be replaced with an Islamic state.  

Except also that Muslim computer hackers deface Bay Ridge synagogue websites with Hamas propaganda, and that a majority of Bay Ridge Muslims believe, according to a lawyer for one of Little Palestine’s own convicted Islamic terrorist, that 9/11 was staged by the U.S. government. 

  

In 2006 Shahawar Matin Siraj a Bay Ridge resident, was convicted and sentenced to a minimum of 30 years in a plot to bomb the Herald Square subway station in Manhattan. 

Siraj’s defense maintained that his views that the United States government was involved in the 9-11 attacks were “community-based notions” held among many Bay Ridge muslims. 

“In fact, in that entire Muslim community in Bay Ridge, the thought that the American government was responsible for bringing down the towers on 9-11 was common,” said one of Siraj’s attorneys, Martin Stolar. (Bay Ridge man guilty in terror bomb plot)

The Islamic Center of Bay Ridge spawned a killer of a young yeshiva student in Ari Halberstam in 1994. 

“…On March 1, in 1994, Baz opened fire on a white van carrying rabbinical students, including Halberstam, onto the Brooklyn Bridge and that on March 5 Halberstam died from the shots. It was an act of terrorism that shocked the city as few events have.”

Several years before that, another Islamic terrorist, the Blind Sheikh Omar Abdel Rahman, convicted in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing, and linked to the murder of Rabbi Meir Kahane, made Bay Ridge his home: 

He first took up residence in a house in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, then settled in an apartment across the Hudson in Jersey City, New Jersey.

An anti-Semitic pamphleteer who terrorized Cobble Hill and Boerum Hill last week brought his hateful message to Bay Ridge overnight… 

The objectionable offender scrawled the words “KILL JEWS” in thick black marker on dozens of fliers and dropped the slips of paper on Third Avenue between 75th and 95th streets just two days after Yom Kippur… 

These hateful messages found in Bay Ridge…seem to have been scribbled on the backs of sheets of paper that contain printed information about taxi cab regulations, witnesses said.

Despite Rees’ sympathetic tone, the FBI has good reason to be interested in Bay Ridge, as the supremacist Islamic sentiment is obvious: 

On Memorial Day, patriotic residents of Senator Street between Fifth and Sixth avenues in Bay Ridge awoke to see the letters PLO painted on a garage, four trees, and a van. Only the houses on the block that displayed the American flag were attacked. 

Police have charged a 12-year-old boy with a Memorial Day graffiti attack in which the acronym for the Palestinian Liberation Organization was written on the homes of some Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, residents who were displaying American flags. 

A police spokesman, Detective John Sweeney, described the boy only as “male, 12-years-old, Arabic.” 

That’s just the tip of the iceberg, and it’s not limited to Bay Ridge. It’s all over Brooklyn, including a Muslim youth gang named after the PLO.

MySpace, the popular social networking Web site, is also comprised of groups of like-minded members. One group, titled “PLO,” has many New Jersey and Brooklyn members. 

“Dis is the Real PLO mafia No Fags All Green oLive Gangstas U kno how we do IF u aint Green U aint Mean,” the MySpace PLO introduction states (sic!). 

One Brooklyn member promised to devote his life “to the holy war and crushing the Zionist pigs.” 

Of course, none of these jihadi “pranks” are worthy of major media news and one has to wonder how much Hamas activity takes place in Little Palestine. But back to Rees’ fictional tale: 

These days Little Palestine is dotted with basement mosques, Arab restaurants and boutiques selling slinky headscarves for religious Muslim women who want to observe the signs of their faith while also highlighting their beauty. 

But the novel also takes Omar to Atlantic Avenue and Coney Island — iconic areas of Brooklyn we might be more accustomed to seeing in traditional thrillers, though they now have strong Arab presences. I put those locations into my novel so that readers would understand that the politics of the Middle East can’t be isolated. You can take the N train from Times Square and get off in Palestine. 

Will anyone document Saturday Night Jihad in the 2010 version of Bay Ridge? No doubt, 2001 Odyssey, the famed discotheque featured in Saturday Night Fever, would find it tough going in Little Palestine. Especially after it was turned into a gay club years later, before shutting down for good.

Initial reports said explosion took place after a bomb planted in a civilian car went off in al-Shibanat area, four kilometers east of Karbala on Friday, also leaving three Iraqi army vehicles destroyed.

Provincial governor Amalheddin al-Hir, however, said a mortar round had been launched from fields northeast of the shrine city while local Health Ministry officials put the death toll from the event at 42 people killed and 150 wounded.

The blast ripped through pilgrims who were leaving the city, home to third Shia Imam Hussein’s holy shrine, as millions of Muslims from across the world were marking the 40th day after Imam Hussein’s martyrdom anniversary.

Mourning ceremonies are being held in more than a dozen countries – including Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Pakistan and Afghanistan to mark Arbaeen, the 40th day after the martyrdom anniversary of the prophet’s grandson Imam Hussein.

The observance was held amid highly tightened security in Karbala where around 30,000 police and soldiers were on duty in the holy city, following the recent spate of attacks.

On Wednesday, a bomb planted on a parked motorcycle exploded on the outskirts of Karbala, killing at least 23 Shia pilgrims and leaving more than 147 others wounded.

The bomb exploded at about 11 a.m. (0800 GMT) in an area known as Ibrahimia, near the east entrance into Karbala, about 80 km (50 miles) south of the Iraqi capital Baghdad.

In another incident on Monday, at least 41 people were killed in northeast Baghdad when a bomb was detonated in a crowd of devout Shia pilgrims heading to Karbala.

Two bombs hit Pakistan city, 22 dead

KARACHI, Pakistan (AP) — Two bombs targeting Shiite Muslims exploded in Pakistan’s largest city Friday, one outside a hospital treating victims from the first blast hours earlier. At least 22 people were killed and more than 50 others wounded.

Police appealed for calm following the strikes in the chaotic city of 16 million people. Karachi has a history of religious violence between Shiite and Sunni Muslims, and has been tense in recent weeks due to deadly clashes between rival political parties.

In late December, a bomb in the southern port city killed 44 Shiites attending a procession to mark Ashura, the anniversary of the death of revered Shiite figure Imam Hussein, sparking deadly riots. Friday’s blasts coincided with Arbaeen, the final day of the annual 40-day mourning period for Hussein.

One of Pakistan’s many al Qaeda linked Sunni extremist groups will be suspected in the twin attacks.

The Immigration Nationality Act of 1996 prohibits access to in-state tuition benefits by undocumented students (section 8 USC 1623) It reads “…an alien who is not lawfully present in the United States shall not be eligible on the basis of residence within a State for any postsecondary education benefit unless a citizen or national of the United States is eligible for such a benefit…”

Several states have taken it upon themselves to override this provision by offering in-state tuition to illegal aliens. Conversely, three states have passed laws preventing these benefits.

Arizona

Proposition 300 is a referendum approved by Arizona voters in November 2006. Proposition 300 provides that university students who are not U.S. citizens or permanent residents, or who do not have lawful immigration status, are not eligible for in-state tuition status or financial aid that is funded or subsidized by state monies.

Arkansas

Senate Bill 799 would allow children of undocumented immigrants to attend state universities at in-state tuition rates. The bill requires students to have graduated from a high school in Arkansas with at least three years of attendance. On March 25, 2009, the bill passed conference committee and was sent to the Senate floor. Gov. Beebe opposes the measure.

California

In 2001, California passed AB 540 allowing illegal aliens access to in-state tuition rates. Requirements: Attend a California high school for three or more years, Graduate from a California high school or receive a GED from California, and Provide an affidavit stating the student will apply for legalization once he/she is eligible to do so.

Colorado

In 2006, Colorado passed HB 1023 preventing illegal aliens from accessing in-state tuition rates. In April 2009, the state Senate rejected SB 170 that would have reversed HB 1023 and allowed illegal aliens to access in-state tuition rates.

Georgia

Passed in 2008, Georgia SB492 prohibits illegal aliens from obtaining in-state tuition rates.

Illinois

Effective May 20, 2003, Illinois House Bill 60 allows illegal aliens access to in-state tuition rates. Requirements: Student has resided in Illinois with his/her parent or guardian while attending public or private high school, Student has graduated from an Illinois public or private high school or received a GED from IL, Student has attended an Illinois high school for at least three years, Student has registered to enter the university no earlier than the Fall 2003 semester, and Student provides the university with an affidavit stating he/she will file an application to become a permanent resident of the U.S. once he/she becomes eligible to do so

Kansas

Effective May 24, 2004, Kansas HB2145 allows illegal aliens access to in-state tuition rates. Requirements: Attended a Kansas high school for three or more years, Has graduated from a Kansas high school or received a GED, At the time of enrollment, the student is not eligible for resident tuition at a postsecondary school in another state, and The person needs to provide an affidavit stating he/she will apply for legal residency when he/she is eligible to do so

Nebraska

Effective July 13, 2006, Nebraska Legislative Bill 239 allows illegal aliens to access in-state tuition rates. Requirements: Reside in Nebraska for at least three years prior to high school graduation/obtaining a GED, Graduate from a Nebraska public or private high school or obtain a GED, Live with a parent or guardian while attending high school, Be registered as an entering college student not earlier than the 2006 fall semester, Provide an affidavit stating their intention to become a permanent resident at their earliest opportunity. If the parent ceases to reside in Nebraska, the student can retain resident status if the student has a bona fide intention to reside in Nebraska and the affidavit needs to be signed by a notary

New Mexico

Effective March 15, 2005, New Mexico’s SB 582 allows illegal aliens to access in-state tuition. Requirements: Attended a New Mexico high school for at least a year and Graduated from a New Mexico high school or obtained a GED in New Mexico

New York

Effective August 6, 2002, New York’s bill A9612-A allows illegal aliens access to in-state tuition rates. Requirements: Attended a New York high school for two or more years, graduated with a New York high school diploma and applied for attendance to a college or university within five years of receiving diploma, or obtained a GED from New York and has applied for attendance to a college or university within five years of receiving GED, Supply an affidavit to the college or university stating that he/she will file for an application for legalization as soon as he/she is eligible to do so

Oklahoma

Oklahoma passed HB1804 in 2008 which prohibits illegal aliens from receiving in-state tuition, but it allows the state’s Board of Regents to award in-state tuition to illegal aliens who have attended an Oklahoma high school for at least two years and graduated. They must also sign an affidavit that states that they are trying to legalize their status or will do so within one year.

Oregon

House Bill 2939, proposed in April 2009, provides that students who are not U.S. citizens or permanent residents can be considered state residents and pay state tuition if they attended a local high school for at least three years, graduated from it and have been accepted by a state university.

South Carolina

South Carolina passed HB 4400 in 2008 prohibiting illegal aliens from accessing public benefits, including in-state tuition rates.

Tennessee

House Bill 0808 by Rep. Stacey Campfield would require applicants seeking in-state tuition to be residing in the United States lawfully.

Texas

Texas allows illegal aliens to access in-state tuition rates through two different legislative actions. First, HB1403 which became effective on June 16, 2001 set guidelines for becoming a resident of Texas. Then, SB1528, effective September 1, 2005, allows all Texas residents to have access to in-state tuition rates regardless of immigration status. Requirements: Lived in Texas three years prior to high school graduation or obtaining a GED from Texas or Resided in Texas the (full) year prior to enrollment in an institution of higher education, and Provide an affidavit stating intent to apply for Permanent Residency when eligible to do so

Utah

Effective July 1, 2002, Utah’s HB144 allows illegal aliens access to in-state tuition rates. Requirements: Attended high school in the state of Utah for three or more years, Graduated from a high school in this state or received the equivalent of a high school diploma in this state, Registers as an entering student at an institution of higher education not earlier than the fall of the 2002-03 academic year, and In addition to these requirements, a student without lawful immigration status shall file an affidavit with the institution of higher education stating that the student has filed an application to legalize his immigration status, or will file an application as soon as he is eligible to do so.

Washington

Effective July 1, 2003, Washington’s HB 1079 allows illegal aliens access to in-state tuition. Requirements: Resided in Washington for at least three years and have completed a full senior year of high school in Washington and have graduated from a Washington high school or Received a GED in Washington and have lived in the state for three full years prior to receiving the GED and Continuously lived in Washington immediately after receiving diploma or GED and Provide an affidavit stating the student will apply for legalization when he/she is eligible to do so

 Wisconsin

The state legislature approved in-state tuition for illegal aliens who graduate from Wisconsin high schools as part of the state’s 2009 budget. The budget was passed on June 26, 2009.

Alexa Gonzalez was scribbling a few words on her desk Monday while waiting for her Spanish teacher to pass out homework at Junior High School 190 in Forest Hills, she said.

“I love my friends Abby and Faith,” the girl wrote, adding the phrases “Lex was here. 2/1/10″ and a smiley face.

But instead of simply cleaning off the doodles after class, Alexa landed in some adult-sized trouble for using her lime-green magic marker.

She was led out of school in cuffs and walked to the precinct across the street, where she was detained for several hours, she and her mother said.

“I started crying, like, a lot,” said Alexa. “I made two little doodles. … It could be easily erased. To put handcuffs on me is unnecessary.” Alexa, who had a stellar attendance record, hasn’t been back to school since, adding, “I just thought I’d get a detention. I thought maybe I would have to clean [the desk].”

“She’s been throwing up,” said her mom, Moraima Tamacho, 49, an accountant, who lives with her daughter in Kew Gardens. “The whole situation has been a nightmare.”

City officials acknowledged Alexa’s arrest was a mistake.

“We’re looking at the facts,” said City Education Department spokesman David Cantor. “Based on what we’ve seen so far, this shouldn’t have happened.”

“Even when we’re asked to make an arrest, common sense should prevail, and discretion used in deciding whether an arrest or handcuffs are really necessary,” said police spokesman Paul Browne.

Alexa is the latest in a string of city students who have been cuffed for minor infractions. In 2007, 13-year-old Chelsea Fraser was placed under arrest for writing “okay” on her desk at Intermediate School 201. And in 2008, 5-year-old Dennis Rivera was cuffed and sent to a psych ward after throwing a fit in his kindergarten.

A class action lawsuit was filed by the New York Civil Liberties Union last month against the city for using “excessive force” in middle school and high schools. A 12-year-old sixth-grader, identified in the lawsuit as M.M., was arrested in March 2009 for doodling on her desk at the Hunts Point School.

Alexa is still suspended from her school, her mother said. She and her mom went to family court on Tuesday, where Alexa was assigned eight hours of community service, a book report and an essay on what she learned from the experience.

“I definitely learned not to ever draw on a desk,” said Alexa. “They told me with a pencil this could still happen.”

Coma study will not give all answers to relatives

ANALYSIS: People in long-term comas may be able, after all, to communicate. What are the implications? asks MUIRIS HOUSTON 

THE PUBLICATION yesterday of a landmark paper on human consciousness by the New England Journal of Medicine has, not unexpectedly, sparked considerable interest. Persistent vegetative state is an emotive area and this research will lead to some soul searching for families of patients who have been in a coma for a prolonged period.

Doctors from specialist centres at the University of Cambridge and the University of Liège in Belgium carried out additional tests on 54 patients who had been comatose for some time. All had a severe brain injury; for some it was the result of lack of oxygen to the brain, while others had sustained severe trauma to the brain. Improvements in intensive care have led to a significant increase in the number of people surviving severe brain injury.

Researchers carried out functional magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) on the brains of those selected. A specialist form of MRI scan, the test gives “real time” feedback on activity in different parts of the brain. Those tested were asked to perform imagery tasks such as imagining they were on a tennis court and were hitting a tennis ball back and forth. Patients were also asked questions requiring a yes or no response, while the researchers watched for an MRI response in a particular part of the brain.

Some five of the 54 patients were able to wilfully modulate their brain activity. A single patient was able to answer yes or no to questions during functional MRI, something he was unable to do during regular bedside testing without the scan.

Another significant finding was that all five patients who altered their brain activity had suffered traumatic brain injury, while none of those in a coma who were brain injured following oxygen starvation to the brain were able to respond.

What is left of the human being when the brain is badly damaged has largely been a question for philosophers and theologians. But this latest research has unveiled a form of preserved cognition in people who exist in a minimally conscious or vegetative

state. And even though the phenomenon was found in just five of 54 people tested it still occurred often enough that it will now be difficult for doctors to tell families confidently that their unresponsive loved ones are not “in there somewhere”.

A clinical diagnosis of the vegetative state, using bedside testing is inaccurate some 40 per cent of the time. Indeed, in this study a careful re-examination of the five patients with a functional MRI response found that three of them actually had clinical evidence of awareness and cognition.

At the very least the results suggest that functional MRI might supplement clinical examination in the classification and prognosis of patients with coma.

But for loved ones, the new reality may not be as straightforward. Watching a relative or friend in a vegetative or minimally conscious state is distressing. Will these findings help?

An obvious use of mental signalling by means of functional MRI could be to preserve the patient’s autonomy by asking what they would like in terms of continued medical

care. At the other extreme, a lack of response to functional MRI testing may help persuade families who interpret eye movement, yawning and other reflex responses as implying mental functioning, that this is not in fact the case.

However it may be more difficult to prove a lack of cognition than to demonstrate its presence.

It would be easy to over-interpret and sensationalise this ground-breaking research on clinically undetected consciousness.

There are three fundamental findings: firstly brain activation was detected in very few patients; activation was found only in some patients with traumatic brain injury, and not at all in patients suffering brain injury as a result of widespread lack of blood and oxygen supply; and we cannot be sure that cortical activation provides evidence of “stream of thought” memory, self-awareness,and reflection.

In particular, the new technique cannot tell us whether the patient is aware of their predicament. And it would be especially dangerous to use it to judge the quality of any person’s inner life. Inevitably, however, some relatives will interpret the research to justify continued and unqualified life support in unresponsive patients. If this was to happen on a widespread scale, it could lead to unexpected pressure on intensive care beds and facilities.

While a functional imaging system will now have to be developed to classify unresponsive patients, it will still be subject to the same risks of false positive and false negative testing that bedevil all medical testing. And medicine will have to develop a new system of classifying unconsciousness. It may no longer be acceptable to have a continuum from conscious to unconscious as we have at present.

This research brings us closer to defining where brain function ends and mindfulness begins. But, as an editorial accompanying the research suggests we are a long way from being able to state: “I have brain activation, therefore I am.”

TEHRAN (APP) – Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad will soon visit Pakistan to develop a joint action plan for further boosting bilateral ties and strengthening tripartite contracts with Afghanistan on security issues, Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki has told a visiting Pakistani media delegation.

“We are in consultation through diplomatic channels to finalize dates of the visit,” Mottaki said. This will be the first-ever visit of President Ahmadinejad, since he assumed the office.Terrorism is a serious issue, but Iranian Foreign Minister stressed that it could be tackled only through a regional strategy. The leaders of Pakistan and Iran have already agreed for a trilateral conference for promoting sustainable peace, stability and security in Afghanistan. The conference is likely to take place in Islamabad in the near future.

The visit would be a bilateral event or part of trilateral conference between Pakistan, Iran and Afghanistan, Mottaki explained.

“The Islamic Revolution opened a window to liberty for the human race, which was trapped in the dead ends of materialism,” Ahmadinejad said during a cabinet meeting on Sunday.

“If the Islamic Revolution had not occurred, liberalism and Marxism would have crushed all human dignity in their power-seeking and money-grubbing claws. Nothing would have remained of human and spiritual principles,” he added.

Ahmadinejad said that in the three decades of its history, the Islamic Revolution had inspired some great developments in the world.

The Iranian president made the remarks as the 31st anniversary of the Islamic Revolution approaches.

Iranians are expected to pour into the streets on February 11 to celebrate the occasion in public rallies across the country, as they have done annually over the past three decades.

Islam is a religion that is in complete opposition to ANY western culture.  The Ban on the sacks is coming from the fact that we don’t let anyone near us that doesn’t show their face.  It’s a natural aversion to people who may wish to do us harm.  If they don’t “get that”, then they should leave.  The west is not required to change their laws and freedoms for the likes of any person or country or anything.  It’s expected that the guest comes in and is respectful, not demanding.  And anyway, a guest, is someone who is invited.  Maybe the WEST should cease to INVITE the MUSLIMS.

French citizenship denied to man with veiled wife

French Prime Minister Francois Fillon said the Moroccan man, who had married a French woman, failed to respect the “values of the [French] republic” by forcing his wife to wear a burqa.

President Nicolas Sarkozy’s administration today took another shot at the burqa, scoring populist points ahead of France’s March elections, say analysts.

France’s immigration minister said he is refusing citizenship to a Muslim man who called his wife “an inferior being,” and forced her to wear a full veil in public, an announcement that plays well with French public support for a burqa ban.

“He has no place in our country,” Prime Minister Francois Fillon told Europe 1 radio, in a decision that comes a week after a French parliamentary commission recommended a partial ban on any veils that cover the face. The ban still needs to be voted on, but it would apply in hospitals and on public transport. France already has bans for wearing headscarves in state schools.

Fillon said the Moroccan man, who had married a French woman, failed to respect the “values of the [French] republic.”

“This case is about a religious radical: he imposes the burqa, he imposes the separation of men and women in his own home, and he refuses to shake the hands of women,” Fillon said.

The recent acts reflect Sarkozy’s efforts to capitalize on anti-burqa sentiment ahead of March’s regional election, Arthur Goldhammer, chair the seminar for visiting scholars at Harvard University’s Center for European Studies, said in an interview Wednesday.

“Sarokozy is certainly agitating this issue with the upcoming regional election in mind,” says Goldhammer, who also maintains the blog French Politics and is on the editorial board of the journal French Politics, Culture, and Society. “He has lost support in the polls from people who formerly voted for him and pledged their allegiance to him because of fairly strong statements he made on illegal immigration.”

In a June 2009 address to both houses of parliament at Versailles, Sarkozy called the burqa “a sign of subservience, a sign of debasement.”

In France, the argument against the burqa is presented not as an attack on Islam but a defense of women, Goldhammer says. Politicians label it a ‘walking prison for women.’

Writing for Forbes, columnist Emre Deliveli says the burqa ban will backfire.

“According to Interior Ministry figures and expert testimonies to the parliamentary commission, 1,900, or fewer than one in a thousand, Muslim women in France wear a burqa,” Deliveli writes.

“As for curbing radical Islam, there is the risk that the law will lead to more proselytizing, not less, by stigmatizing Muslims. The converts among the burqa-wearers have already been boldly telling the French media how disappointed they are with the ban, and how they intend not to obey it.”

Where is the American MSM?  

This is a trial between the freedom of speech or Sharia.  The media is absent.  Why?

Michael Savage has been banned from Briton.  He is not a murderer or a terrorist.  He’s on a list that bans him.  Who’s next?  You?  Me?  Well, I write stuff that they don’t like so, someday I will be banned from places that don’t like what I have to say?  Due to being Jewish I am banned from some places in the Middle East.  Some people, especially in the US,  don’t understand this.  They don’t see anyone banned or have no admittance anywhere, so they think it doesn’t exist.  They are not ignorant, as the Europeans may think.  They are not ostriches.  The news, and media don’t allow for the discussion.  People don’t talk about politics or Religion in the streets anymore.  Why?  How did this start?  When did it become TABOO?  I remember reading books from the beginning of the last century.  Women were not to discuss politics in front of men and men would do like wise.  However,  that was the limit.  Men would discuss politics among men and women would discuss politics among women.  Later on in the century, women DEMANDED, to be included in the discussion.  When did this end?  Why is it TABOO?  Who decided it should be? 

I somehow think that the first notion of the TABOO arising is about the 1950’s.  Why?  That’s another discussion and I’m going off on a tangent again.  

What is the objective to silencing FREE SPEECH: 

The objective of the ummah? Always and eternally, the greater and wider and deeper imposition of Islamic law. Geert Wilders launches websites on political trial  

Behold (courtesy Tundra Tabloids) the very image of Dutch “justice.” After today’s “judicial” proceedings in Amsterdam, Holland itself is forever besmirched, its “judges” having made it clear that no semblance of fairness will enter into their proceeeding against Geert Wilders. As noted below, the “judges” slashed the roster of witnesses the Wilders defense team planned to call to the stand from eighteen to three. 

John L. Work writes at Newsreal: 

Even if you have never been involved in a criminal prosecution wherein your very freedom is at risk, I want you to now imagine that you and your attorney have prepared a defense that includes a list of witnesses that will provide a mountain of exculpatory evidence.  Then, imagine that the Court summarily and arbitrarily decides that it will not listen to nearly ninety percent of your case. 

“This court is apparently not interested in the truth.” Wilders told De Telegraaph (translations from Gates of Vienna). “I cannot conclude anything but that the court does not award me a fair trial.” 

“I have no respect for this,” Wilders added. He pointed out that in a typical criminal case there are often dozens of witnesses heard. 

But this is not a typical trial. This is a rigged game, a fixed fight, a show trial that is premised not on Dutch law but on Islamic law. Indeed, the trial of Geert Wilders is a test case for sharia in the Netherlands, the grafting onto a free Western country the repressive cage of Islamic rule. 

Discussing Muslim progress against “Islamophobia” at the 35th meeting of foreign ministers of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) in Kampala, Uganda in 2008, Secretary General Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu

made the following statement:

As we speak, the official West and its public opinion are all now well-aware of the sensitivities of these issues. One reading doesn’t convey the chilling import of these words. 

As Stephen Coughlin has pointed out to me, “we,” in the definition at the OIC website, are, of course, “the collective voice of the Islamic world” — the “ummah” as represented by the heads of state and foreign ministers of the 57 Islamic nations of the OIC. In other words, as Coughlin puts it, “real state actors” using “real state power” to further real state objectives. 

The objective of the ummah? Always and eternally, the greater and wider and deeper imposition of Islamic law. The ummah indeed sent its message to the West regarding “red lines that should not be crossed” — namely, the Danish cartoons and Wilders’ film “Fitna.” Official protests, statements, riots, boycotts, murders, death threats, assassination attempts — a clear Islamic  message, all right. Yes, and to the craven point where “the official West and its public opinion” are paralyzed and silenced by these same “sensitivities.” 

They have also started to look seriously into the question of freedom of expression from the perspective of its inherent responsibility, which should not be overlooked. 

When the OIC speaks about “freedom of expression,” it means freedom of expression as governed by the laws of Islam — sharia. When the OIC says we in the West have “started to look seriously into the question of freedom of expression from the perspective of its inherent responsibility,” it means we in the West have started to regard expression from the perspective of sharia — from the perspective of the totalitarian Islamic system. 

Trying Geert Wilders, a once-valiant Holland is leading the way, forsaking the freedoms of the West for the objectives of the ummah.

Dr. Simon Admiraal

Simon Admiraal received his doctorate as an Arabist from Hans Jansen. He does research on radicalization in Arabic sermons. In the newspaper De Volkskrant he wrote the opinion articles “No integration, thanks to the headscarf brigade” and “Sharia contains every must, may, and may not of Allah”. The court has approved the request by Wilders to call Simon Admiraal as witness.

Dr. Hans Jansen

Hans Jansen is known for his critical remarks about Islam. He compiled the book “End struggle: The final clash between the liberal West and traditional Islam” together with contributors such as Paul Cliteur, Mat Herben and Robert Spencer. The court has approved the request by Wilders to call Hans Jansen as witness.

Dr. Robert Spencer

Robert Spencer, director of Jihad Watch and author of “The Truth About Muhammad: Founder of the World’s Most Intolerant Religion” (2006). Wilders has not been allowed to call Robert Spencer as a witness.

The Imam Fawaz Jneid cursed Ayaan Hirsi Ali and Theo van Gogh in a sermon several weeks before the murder of Theo van Gogh. Fawaz would have issued a fatwa on the Amsterdam District chairman Ahmed Marcouch by calling him a “Munafiq”, someone who poses as a Muslim but does not believe. Wilders has not been allowed to call Fawaz Jneid as a witness.

I don’t think that it should fall on the business’ to be able to distinguish who is legal and who is not.

It should be quite simple, but it’s not when there are states that issue LEGAL drivers licenses and other forms of ID to those who should not be legally here. 

Please, don’t get me wrong.  First AID is an emergency situation and a persons life should always be the 1st consideration.  However, free healthcare ( care for mild maladies or preventative care  ) is not something that anyone is entitled to.  Citizens of the US have paid one way or another for it.  This opens another discussion, so I don’t want to go off on a tangent and I don’t want to do that right now.

I believe that this judge did the right thing, but I also think that E-Varify is not the solution, if the states that are undermining the US constitution continue on their issuing legal identification to those who have broken the law.  That is treason.  Anything that threatens a countries sovereignty (which this does) and gives comfort or aid to foreign enemies ( which this does ) is a treasonous act.  When one has knowledge of what they are doing is WRONG, then that is doing hard with carnal knowledge.  Thats TREASON!

  Immigration Control Law Struck By Fed Appeals Court

Last Updated: Thu, 02/04/2010 – 3:36pmSiding with powerful business interests that profit from hiring illegal aliens, a federal appellate court has struck down as unconstitutional key employment provisions in Oklahoma’s strict immigration control law.

The 2007 measure (Oklahoma Taxpayer and City Protection Act) aims to curtail the state’s illegal immigration crisis by limiting public benefits to illegal aliens, requiring deportation for those arrested and cracking down on businesses that employ them. That portion of the law subjects employers to stiff penalties if they are caught hiring illegal immigrants.

It prohibits firing workers who are in the U.S. legally while retaining undocumented workers, requires businesses to obtain documents proving that employees of private contractors are authorized to work in the country and requires companies with government contracts to use a federal database known as E-Verify to check eligibility of job seekers. 

In mid 2008 a federal judge (Robin Cauthron) in Oklahoma City blocked all three employment provisions, ruling that the state measure preempts federal law on immigration and that the state cannot create or impose guidelines that conflict with the Constitution or federal law. 

The state appealed and this week the Denver-based 10th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals struck down two of the three employer stipulations, essentially agreeing with the lower court’s assessment that they cannot be enforced and are likely unconstitutional. Businesses forced to comply with the law will face significant risk of suffering financial harm, the justices wrote in their decision. 

Influential state and national business groups, including the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, filed the lawsuit in an effort to get rid of the measure. However, the appellate court did rule in favor of the portion of Oklahoma’s law that requires employers with government contracts to use E-Verify to check the eligibility of its workers.  

Last October a different federal judge (James Payne) dismissed a separate lawsuit aimed at killing Oklahoma’s law, which also denies state identification cards to illegal immigrants, in its entirety. Filed on behalf of a group of anonymous illegal immigrants, that suit claimed that the state measure discriminates against all immigrants but Judge Payne disagreed.

In his strongly worded ruling, Judge Payne said that anonymous illegal alien plaintiffs do not have standing or the right to sue to prevent the law’s implementation. He also pointed out that the illegal immigrants filed the suit in order to remove any barriers the state had erected to their continued violation of federal laws. “These illegal alien plaintiffs seek nothing more than to use this court as a vehicle for their continued unlawful presence in this country,” he wrote.

He was upset specifically about Holder.  In my opinion all these dirty public servants should be investigated.

These civilians in charge (Eric Holder, Christopher Dodd, John Ensign, Barney Frank, Timothy Geithner)   have subverted our streangth and treasure with thier false assumptions on many different levels: ie, assuming that not killing the enemy or retaliating for attacks will make us stronger  or assuming spending our kids treasure will make us MORE financially sound. 

They are crippling our economy so that we CAN’T fight the enemy.  Simple math, no money, no resources, enemy need not exert any streagth or will and all they need to win in survive.  And, multiply …. With our  help of coarse. They are being imported and multiply.  They have their own training camp, such as ISLAMBERG.  Why go back?  Why go back?  Democracy, rules by sheer numbers. Majority vote.

Judicial Watch, the public interest group that investigates and prosecutes government corruption, today released its 2009 list of Washington’s “Ten Most Wanted Corrupt Politicians.” The list, in alphabetical order, includes:

1. Senator Christopher Dodd (D-CT): This marks two years in a row for Senator Dodd, who made the 2008 “Ten Most Corrupt” list for his corrupt relationship with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac and for accepting preferential treatment and loan terms from Countrywide Financial, a scandal which still dogs him. In 2009, the scandals kept coming for the Connecticut Democrat. In 2009, Judicial Watch filed a Senate ethics complaint against Dodd for undervaluing a property he owns in Ireland on his Senate Financial Disclosure forms. Judicial Watch’s complaint forced Dodd to amend the forms. However, press reports suggest the property to this day remains undervalued. Judicial Watch also alleges in the complaint that Dodd obtained a sweetheart deal for the property in exchange for his assistance in obtaining a presidential pardon (during the Clinton administration) and other favors for a long-time friend and business associate. The false financial disclosure forms were part of the cover-up. Dodd remains the head the Senate Banking Committee. 
2. Senator John Ensign (R-NV): A number of scandals popped up in 2009 involving public officials who conducted illicit affairs, and then attempted to cover them up with hush payments and favors, an obvious abuse of power. The year’s worst offender might just be Nevada Republican Senator John Ensign. Ensign admitted in June to an extramarital affair with the wife of one of his staff members, who then allegedly obtained special favors from the Nevada Republican in exchange for his silence. According to The New York Times: “The Justice Department and the Senate Ethics Committee are expected to conduct preliminary inquiries into whether Senator John Ensign violated federal law or ethics rules as part of an effort to conceal an affair with the wife of an aide…” The former staffer, Douglas Hampton, began to lobby Mr. Ensign’s office immediately upon leaving his congressional job, despite the fact that he was subject to a one-year lobbying ban. Ensign seems to have ignored the law and allowed Hampton lobbying access to his office as a payment for his silence about the affair. (These are potentially criminal offenses.) It looks as if Ensign misused his public office (and taxpayer resources) to cover up his sexual shenanigans. 
3. Rep. Barney Frank (D-MA): Judicial Watch is investigating a $12 million TARP cash injection provided to the Boston-based OneUnited Bank at the urging of Massachusetts Rep. Barney Frank. As reported in the January 22, 2009, edition of the Wall Street Journal, the Treasury Department indicated it would only provide funds to healthy banks to jump-start lending. Not only was OneUnited Bank in massive financial turmoil, but it was also “under attack from its regulators for allegations of poor lending practices and executive-pay abuses, including owning a Porsche for its executives’ use.” Rep. Frank admitted he spoke to a “federal regulator,” and Treasury granted the funds. (The bank continues to flounder despite Frank’s intervention for federal dollars.) Moreover, Judicial Watch uncovered documents in 2009 that showed that members of Congress for years were aware that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac were playing fast and loose with accounting issues, risk assessment issues and executive compensation issues, even as liberals led by Rep. Frank continued to block attempts to rein in the two Government Sponsored Enterprises (GSEs). For example, during a hearing on September 10, 2003, before the House Committee on Financial Services considering a Bush administration proposal to further regulate Fannie and Freddie, Rep. Frank stated: “I want to begin by saying that I am glad to consider the legislation, but I do not think we are facing any kind of a crisis. That is, in my view, the two Government Sponsored Enterprises we are talking about here, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, are not in a crisis. We have recently had an accounting problem with Freddie Mac that has led to people being dismissed, as appears to be appropriate. I do not think at this point there is a problem with a threat to the Treasury.” Frank received $42,350 in campaign contributions from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac between 1989 and 2008. Frank also engaged in a relationship with a Fannie Mae Executive while serving on the House Banking Committee, which has jurisdiction over Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. 
4. Secretary of Treasury Timothy Geithner: In 2009, Obama Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner admitted that he failed to pay $34,000 in Social Security and Medicare taxes from 2001-2004 on his lucrative salary at the International Monetary Fund (IMF), an organization with 185 member countries that oversees the global financial system. (Did we mention Geithner now runs the IRS?) It wasn’t until President Obama tapped Geithner to head the Treasury Department that he paid back most of the money, although the IRS kindly waived the hefty penalties. In March 2009, Geithner also came under fire for his handling of the AIG bonus scandal, where the company used $165 million of its bailout funds to pay out executive bonuses, resulting in a massive public backlash. Of course as head of the New York Federal Reserve, Geithner helped craft the AIG deal in September 2008. However, when the AIG scandal broke, Geithner claimed he knew nothing of the bonuses until March 10, 2009. The timing is important. According to CNN: “Although Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner told congressional leaders on Tuesday that he learned of AIG’s impending $160 million bonus payments to members of its troubled financial-products unit on March 10, sources tell TIME that the New York Federal Reserve informed Treasury staff that the payments were imminent on Feb. 28. That is ten days before Treasury staffers say they first learned ‘full details’ of the bonus plan, and three days before the [Obama] Administration launched a new $30 billion infusion of cash for AIG.” Throw in another embarrassing disclosure in 2009 that Geithner employed “household help” ineligible to work in the United States, and it becomes clear why the Treasury Secretary has earned a spot on the “Ten Most Corrupt Politicians in Washington” list. 
5. Attorney General Eric Holder: Tim Geithner can be sure he won’t be hounded about his tax-dodging by his colleague Eric Holder, US Attorney General. Judicial Watch strongly opposed Holder because of his terrible ethics record, which includes: obstructing an FBI investigation of the theft of nuclear secrets from Los Alamos Nuclear Laboratory; rejecting multiple requests for an independent counsel to investigate alleged fundraising abuses by then-Vice President Al Gore in the Clinton White House; undermining the criminal investigation of President Clinton by Kenneth Starr in the midst of the Lewinsky investigation; and planning the violent raid to seize then-six-year-old Elian Gonzalez at gunpoint in order to return him to Castro’s Cuba. Moreover, there is his soft record on terrorism. Holder bypassed Justice Department procedures to push through Bill Clinton’s scandalous presidential pardons and commutations, including for 16 members of FALN, a violent Puerto Rican terrorist group that orchestrated approximately 120 bombings in the United States, killing at least six people and permanently maiming dozens of others, including law enforcement officers. His record in the current administration is no better. As he did during the Clinton administration, Holder continues to ignore serious incidents of corruption that could impact his political bosses at the White House. For example, Holder has refused to investigate charges that the Obama political machine traded VIP access to the White House in exchange for campaign contributions – a scheme eerily similar to one hatched by Holder’s former boss, Bill Clinton in the 1990s. The Holder Justice Department also came under fire for dropping a voter intimidation case against the New Black Panther Party. On Election Day 2008, Black Panthers dressed in paramilitary garb threatened voters as they approached polling stations. Holder has also failed to initiate a comprehensive Justice investigation of the notorious organization ACORN (Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now), which is closely tied to President Obama. There were allegedly more than 400,000 fraudulent ACORN voter registrations in the 2008 campaign. And then there were the journalist videos catching ACORN Housing workers advising undercover reporters on how to evade tax, immigration, and child prostitution laws. Holder’s controversial decisions on new rights for terrorists and his attacks on previous efforts to combat terrorism remind many of the fact that his former law firm has provided and continues to provide pro bono representation to terrorists at Guantanamo Bay. Holder’s politicization of the Justice Department makes one long for the days of Alberto Gonzales. 
6. Rep. Jesse Jackson, Jr. (D-IL)/ Senator Roland Burris (D-IL): One of the most serious scandals of 2009 involved a scheme by former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich to sell President Obama’s then-vacant Senate seat to the highest bidder. Two men caught smack dab in the middle of the scandal: Senator Roland Burris, who ultimately got the job, and Rep. Jesse Jackson, Jr. According to the Chicago Sun-Times, emissaries for Jesse Jackson Jr., named “Senate Candidate A” in the Blagojevich indictment, reportedly offered $1.5 million to Blagojevich during a fundraiser if he named Jackson Jr. to Obama’s seat. Three days later federal authorities arrested Blagojevich. Burris, for his part, apparently lied about his contacts with Blagojevich, who was arrested in December 2008 for trying to sell Obama’s Senate seat. According to Reuters: “Roland Burris came under fresh scrutiny…after disclosing he tried to raise money for the disgraced former Illinois governor who named him to the U.S. Senate seat once held by President Barack Obama…In the latest of those admissions, Burris said he looked into mounting a fundraiser for Rod Blagojevich — later charged with trying to sell Obama’s Senate seat — at the same time he was expressing interest to the then-governor’s aides about his desire to be appointed.” Burris changed his story five times regarding his contacts with Blagojevich prior to the Illinois governor appointing him to the U.S. Senate. Three of those changing explanations came under oath. 
7. President Barack Obama: During his presidential campaign, President Obama promised to run an ethical and transparent administration. However, in his first year in office, the President has delivered corruption and secrecy, bringing Chicago-style political corruption to the White House. Consider just a few Obama administration “lowlights” from year one: Even before President Obama was sworn into office, he was interviewed by the FBI for a criminal investigation of former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich’s scheme to sell the President’s former Senate seat to the highest bidder. (Obama’s Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel and slumlord Valerie Jarrett, both from Chicago, are also tangled up in the Blagojevich scandal.) Moreover, the Obama administration made the startling claim that the Privacy Act does not apply to the White House. The Obama White House believes it can violate the privacy rights of American citizens without any legal consequences or accountability. President Obama boldly proclaimed that “transparency and the rule of law will be the touchstones of this presidency,” but his administration is addicted to secrecy, stonewalling far too many of Judicial Watch’s Freedom of Information Act requests and is refusing to make public White House visitor logs as federal law requires. The Obama administration turned the National Endowment of the Arts (as well as the agency that runs the AmeriCorps program) into propaganda machines, using tax dollars to persuade “artists” to promote the Obama agenda. According to documents uncovered by Judicial Watch, the idea emerged as a direct result of the Obama campaign and enjoyed White House approval and participation. President Obama has installed a record number of “czars” in positions of power. Too many of these individuals are leftist radicals who answer to no one but the president. And too many of the czars are not subject to Senate confirmation (which raises serious constitutional questions). Under the President’s bailout schemes, the federal government continues to appropriate or control — through fiat and threats — large sectors of the private economy, prompting conservative columnist George Will to write: “The administration’s central activity — the political allocation of wealth and opportunity — is not merely susceptible to corruption, it is corruption.” Government-run healthcare and car companies, White House coercion, uninvestigated ACORN corruption, debasing his office to help Chicago cronies, attacks on conservative media and the private sector, unprecedented and dangerous new rights for terrorists, perks for campaign donors – this is Obama’s “ethics” record — and we haven’t even gotten through the first year of his presidency. 
8. Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA): At the heart of the corruption problem in Washington is a sense of entitlement. Politicians believe laws and rules (even the U.S. Constitution) apply to the rest of us but not to them. Case in point: House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and her excessive and boorish demands for military travel. Judicial Watch obtained documents from the Pentagon in 2008 that suggest Pelosi has been treating the Air Force like her own personal airline. These documents, obtained through the Freedom of Information Act, include internal Pentagon email correspondence detailing attempts by Pentagon staff to accommodate Pelosi’s numerous requests for military escorts and military aircraft as well as the speaker’s 11th hour cancellations and changes. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi also came under fire in April 2009, when she claimed she was never briefed about the CIA’s use of the waterboarding technique during terrorism investigations. The CIA produced a report documenting a briefing with Pelosi on September 4, 2002, that suggests otherwise. Judicial Watch also obtained documents, including a CIA Inspector General report, which further confirmed that Congress was fully briefed on the enhanced interrogation techniques. Aside from her own personal transgressions, Nancy Pelosi has ignored serious incidents of corruption within her own party, including many of the individuals on this list. (See Rangel, Murtha, Jesse Jackson, Jr., etc.) 
9. Rep. John Murtha (D-PA) and the rest of the PMA Seven: Rep. John Murtha made headlines in 2009 for all the wrong reasons. The Pennsylvania congressman is under federal investigation for his corrupt relationship with the now-defunct defense lobbyist PMA Group. PMA, founded by a former Murtha associate, has been the congressman’s largest campaign contributor. Since 2002, Murtha has raised $1.7 million from PMA and its clients. And what did PMA and its clients receive from Murtha in return for their generosity? Earmarks — tens of millions of dollars in earmarks. In fact, even with all of the attention surrounding his alleged influence peddling, Murtha kept at it. Following an FBI raid of PMA’s offices earlier in 2009, Murtha continued to seek congressional earmarks for PMA clients, while also hitting them up for campaign contributions. According to The Hill, in April, “Murtha reported receiving contributions from three former PMA clients for whom he requested earmarks in the pending appropriations bills.” When it comes to the PMA scandal, Murtha is not alone. As many as six other Members of Congress are currently under scrutiny according to The Washington Post. They include: Peter J. Visclosky (D-IN.), James P. Moran Jr. (D-VA), Norm Dicks (D-WA.), Marcy Kaptur (D-OH), C.W. Bill Young (R-FL.) and Todd Tiahrt (R-KS.). Of course rather than investigate this serious scandal, according to Roll Call House Democrats circled the wagons, “cobbling together a defense to offer political cover to their rank and file.” The Washington Post also reported in 2009 that Murtha’s nephew received $4 million in Defense Department no-bid contracts: “Newly obtained documents…show Robert Murtha mentioning his influential family connection as leverage in his business dealings and holding unusual power with the military.” 
10. Rep. Charles Rangel (D-NY): Rangel, the man in charge of writing tax policy for the entire country, has yet to adequately explain how he could possibly “forget” to pay taxes on $75,000 in rental income he earned from his off-shore rental property. He also faces allegations that he improperly used his influence to maintain ownership of highly coveted rent-controlled apartments in Harlem, and misused his congressional office to fundraise for his private Rangel Center by preserving a tax loophole for an oil drilling company in exchange for funding. On top of all that, Rangel recently amended his financial disclosure reports, which doubled his reported wealth. (He somehow “forgot” about $1 million in assets.) And what did he do when the House Ethics Committee started looking into all of this? He apparently resorted to making “campaign contributions” to dig his way out of trouble. According to WCBS TV, a New York CBS affiliate: “The reigning member of Congress’ top tax committee is apparently ‘wrangling’ other politicos to get him out of his own financial and tax troubles…Since ethics probes began last year the 79-year-old congressman has given campaign donations to 119 members of Congress, including three of the five Democrats on the House Ethics Committee who are charged with investigating him.” Charlie Rangel should not be allowed to remain in Congress, let alone serve as Chairman of the powerful House Ways and Means Committee, and he knows it. That’s why he felt the need to disburse campaign contributions to Ethics Committee members and other congressional colleagues.

Not all people with developmental disabilities are retards, and not all retards have developmental issues (save Congress.)  So when Rahmbo is calling Republicans in his master’s way “retards” he is right! They are a hindrance (rightly or not), at the very least.  He’s grammatically (or is that vocabulatarianistically, as GW Bush might say?) correct.

As for hurting Shiver and others’ sensibilities…stop being a bunch of retards.

Nigeria has Christians and they have been dealing with jihad for many years:  since the middle of the last century.

They are not winning and the west has not helped in any way. 

Israel and some smaller countries have tried, but Al Qaeda and the like have taken root. 

North Africa Qaeda offers to help Nigerian Muslims

An al Qaeda group in North Africa has offered to give Nigerian Muslims training and weapons to fight Christians in the West African country, where more than 460 people were killed in sectarian clashes last month.

Vice President Goodluck Jonathan sent in the military to halt the violence after four days of clashes between Christian and Muslim mobs armed with guns, knives and machetes in the area round the city of Jos in central Nigeria. “We are ready to train your people in weapons, and give you whatever support we can in men, arms and munitions to enable you to defend our people in Nigeria,” the statement by al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM) said.

It was signed in the name of Abu Mus’ab Abdel-Wadoud, who was described as the “emir”, or leader, of the group, and appeared on Islamic websites that often carry statements from groups using the al Qaeda name around the world. “You are not alone in this test. The hearts of Mujahideen are in pain over your troubles and desire to help you as much as possible, in the Islamic Maghreb, Somalia, Iraq, Afghanistan, Palestine, Chechnya,” it said.

Nigeria has roughly equal numbers of Christians and Muslims, though traditional animist beliefs underpin many people’s faith.

About 1 million people were killed in Nigeria’s 1967-70 civil war, and there have been outbreaks of religious unrest since then. But more than 200 ethnic groups generally live peacefully side by side in the West African oil producer.

Last month’s violence erupted after an argument between Muslim and Christian neighbours over the rebuilding of homes destroyed in previous clashes in 2008.

A Nigerian man tried to bomb a U.S.-bound plane on Dec. 25 in an attack claimed by Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula, a Saudi-Yemeni group using the al Qaeda name and based in Yemen.

AQIM kidnapped a Frenchman and three Spaniards in the Sahara late last year and said it would kill the French hostage by the end of January unless Mali freed four al Qaeda prisoners.

French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner said on Monday the group had extended the deadline.

AQIM has waged a campaign of suicide bombings and ambushes in Algeria but in the past few years has shifted many of its activities south to the Sahara desert.

Last year it killed a British tourist, Edwin Dyer, after kidnapping him on the border between Niger and Mali while he was attending a festival of Tuareg culture.

The group also said it shot dead a U.S. aid worker in the Mauritanian capital Nouakchott in June last year and carried out a suicide bombing on the French embassy there in August that injured three people.

Saharan states have been planning a regional conference to map out a joint response to the al Qaeda threat for more than a year, but the gathering has been postponed repeatedly.

Benjamin Netanyahu declares Ariel to be the ‘JEWISH CAPITAL’ of Samaria

(IsraelNN.com) Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu on Friday completed his week-long campaign to reaffirm Israel’s claim on major Jewish population centers in Judea and Samaria, and declared the Jewish city of Ariel “the capital of Samaria.” He planted a symbolic tree in the city, as he did earlier in the week in Gush Etzion, south of Jerusalem, and Maaleh Adumin, located west of the capital and overlooking the Dead Sea.

Friday’s ceremony capped off tree-plantings in honor of the holiday of Tu B’Shvat, the Jewish New Year of Trees. The festival begins Friday night, the beginning of the Sabbath when planting trees is forbidden.

Accompanied by several strongly nationalist Likud Knesset Members, the Prime Minister reinforced an about-face in Israel’s policy statements, which previously have concentrated on meeting American demands for “goodwill” measures to the PA. “Everyone who sees the geography here understands how important” Ariel and the surrounding areas are, he said.

Prime Minister Netanyahu added that he was planting not only a tree but also “three principles: Growing strength, Jewish settlement and culture in the heart of our land of our forefathers and where we will remain and build.” His remarks implied that the current temporary 10-month building freeze on new homes for Jews in Judea and Samaria will remain an interim measure, as he previously has promised.

Earlier in the week, he planted a tree at Maaleh Adumim several hours after meeting with U.S. Middle East envoy George Mitchell, who has been trying to negotiate with Israel and the Palestinian Authority PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas to return to talks for establishing a new Arab state within modern Israel’s borders that have existed since 1967. The same areas were part of the ancient Jewish kingdoms and since then were without a Jewish state until the Six-Day War more than 42 years ago.

Prime Minister Netanyahu has consistently balked at efforts by the Obama administration to ignore promises made in writing by former U.S. President George W. Bush to former Prime Minister Ariel Sharon that major Jewish population centers would remain part of Israel in any future arrangement with the PA.

The American administration has justified its position by stating that Bush’s promises are not legally binding, although the refusal to recognize the Bush policy is a rare if not unprecedented diversion from accepted diplomatic protocol.

Abbas has refused to concede a claim to ”every inch” of Judea and Samaria as well as eastern Jerusalem and has demanded that any resumption of talks begin at the stage where they were when previous Prime Minister Ehud Olmert left office. Olmert recently revealed in an interview with an Australian newspaper that he offered Abbas land within pre-1967 Israel in order to give it a direct link between Gaza and Judea and Samaria.

I have another qustion that keeps haunting me:  If Obama was a Muslim at 13 years of age, which is the age of knowledge in the Muslim and Jewish world, then would he not be an Apostate?  If he is then why have we not heard any decrees of fatwas or jihad as they pertain to the president of the US? 

If the Muslim world honestly thought that Obama was against them, then they would declare him an Apostate and would not offer to meet with him at any level.  Why is this not mentioned anywhere?

Nagla Al Imam, recently announced her conversion to Christianity in Cairo, Egypt. The announcement brought shock waves in and beyond Egypt. This is perhaps the first case ever of its kind, where a Muslim woman, who is also a Sharia expert, has openly challenged Islamic apostasy laws from within the Muslim world.

Very few people in the West know what is going on inside the Muslim world and what it portends for them. The fact is that through the dominant media, such as CNN, Americans are subjected to much of the same misinformation with regard to Islam that I grew up with inside the Muslim world. The result is that Americans are in the dark attempting to formulate their strategy of how to defend themselves against the threat of terror, domestic jihad and Sharia. While Americans get ridiculed for being “Islamophobes,” the Muslim world itself is undergoing a huge and painful awakening.

For instance, a prominent Egyptian lawyer and women’s rights activist, Nagla Al Imam, recently announced her conversion to Christianity in Cairo, Egypt. The announcement brought shock waves in and beyond Egypt. This is perhaps the first case ever of its kind, where a Muslim woman, who is also a Sharia expert, has openly challenged Islamic apostasy laws from within the Muslim world.

Ms. Al Imam’s incredible courage was on display in an internet chat room, where she announced that she is not afraid, will stand up for the human rights of apostates and refuses to leave her homeland, Egypt. This was immediately followed by attacks and calls (‘fatwas’) for death of the 36 year-old graduate of Al Azhar Islamic University.

Egyptian media not only reported the threat but also participated in the attacks. Ms. Al Imam was literally entrapped by a TV station ‘Al Mihwar’ with the pretext of inviting her for an interview. Upon arrival to the TV studio she was told the show she was to appear on was cancelled. She was then taken forcibly to a room where she was held against her will for hours inside the studio. She was assaulted, threatened and insulted by several people. She was able to escape, and went to her internet chat room telling the world what happened and said she will demand protection from the Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak.

Such action is common not only against apostates but anyone who deviates from the dictates of Islam or demands reform. Many Muslim journalists, intellectuals and feminists who consider themselves Muslims but are critical of Sharia are often intimidated, threatened or even killed for the slightest independent views using the apostasy card to keep them quiet.

Another recent case in Egypt is that of a brilliant intellectual by the name of Sayed Mahmoud El Qemany. He was recently accused of apostasy even though he denied it on TV and insisted he is still a Muslim. But fatwas of death were immediately issued against him. Mr. El Qemany recently wrote the following:

“I was granted the State Award for Social Sciences, on June 25th 2009. The hard-line radical militant groups considered that the state has adopted this intellectual secular trend
officially, infuriating the mentioned group which called on the State to withdraw the prize with the declaration of my defection from Islam and excommunication which means in our country, I could be slain; any citizen is allowed to kill me and be awarded by God in Paradise. The following parties have participated in the statements of atonement:

1 – Al-Azhar Scholars Front headed by Yahya Ismail Habloush, which issued the first statement of atonement on July 10, 2009.

2 – The Islamic Group (condemned terrorist group) issued a statement of atonement on July 10, 2009.

3 – The Muslim Brotherhood hailed the atonement, and were presented at the parliament by Hamdi Hassan requesting the withdrawal of the award and the declaration of religious-defection and excommunication on July 7, 2009. The Muslim Brotherhood also declared my excommunication on Mohwar Channel on July 11, 2009 and on Al Faraeen Channel on July 13, 2009.

4 – The Salafi (Fundamentalist) Group (condemned terrorist group) dedicated its Internet site named “The Egyptians” for excommunicating me and incitements to kill me, since the date of obtaining the prize until today.

5 – Al Nas channel, which represents the theoretical side of bloody terrorism which declared excommunication and demanded “all citizens who can” to kill me immediately, on July 24 and 25, 2009.

6 – The Hisbah Sheikh Youssef Al Badri in Egypt declared on the channel “ON TV” on July 3, 2009 that I have cursed God and the Prophet Mohammad in my books even though I have challenged him and others to refer to a single text written by me where such claims were made. Due to this proclamation, he has issued an incitement to kill me.

7 – A member of the Al-Azhar scholars, Sheikh Mohammed El Berry, on Mihwar TV Channel on July 11, 2009 announced my atonement as he also said that he did not read any of my writings since he does not read “garbage”. He repeated the same words on the channel “ON TV” on July 22, 2009.

8 – Sheikh Ali Gomaa, the former Chairman of the “State Religious Affairs Advisory Board”, issued a statement declaring my infidelity and calling for slaying me for “insulting the Prophet of Islam, the God of Islam” on July 24, 2009.

9 – The Sheiks of more than 5000 mosques on Friday prayers on July 24, 2009 declared the incitement to kill me, especially in my hometown, which led to the rampage against my family and relatives, and that could possibly evolve to some serious consequences in the coming weeks.

Due to the above, I call upon the conscience of all humanity in the free world to come to me and my children’s rescue by providing moral support and the condemnation and denunciation of the radical thinking with quick solutions to save us from the danger that is luring around us. This is a distress call to all bodies and individuals. A call to the consciences of every free individual in the world.

In spite of the cover up, this is perhaps the first time in the history of Islam that Muslims finally have access to the truth about their own religion, thanks to the Internet and satellite dishes (invented by infidels). There are daily news reports of heart-broken Muslims who say they cannot believe what is written in Muslim scriptures and say that Muslims have been living under the greatest lie in human history. Others simply deny and say that it can’t be so. While Saudi Arabia is spending billions to Islamize the West, many Muslim prisoners of Islamic submission are dying or leaving the religion quietly.

The relatively few number of Muslims who dare to convert to Christianity do it in extreme secrecy. That is because the penalty for leaving Islam is death in all schools of Sharia, both Sunni and Shiite. Those who wrote Sharia centuries ago knew that keeping Muslims in total submission would be very difficult to maintain, and thus they established barbaric laws condemning Muslims to death for exercising their basic human rights to choose their own religion. Sharia never entrusted its enforcement only to the formal legal system. Islam promises heavenly rewards to individual Muslims who take the law into their own hands. Sharia also states that the killers of apostates and adulterers are not murderers and therefore are not to be punished. That is why, for Islam to achieve 100% compliance to Sharia enforcement, Muslim individuals are encouraged to take matters into their own hands.

The end result is a chaotic society where everything happens behind closed doors but at a very heavy price to interpersonal relationships. Fear and distrust of others exists in all Muslim societies. Muslims are not just distrustful of the West, but they are distrustful of one another. In Muslim society, people are often more afraid of their neighbors and family members than of the police. Thus, we see husbands or fathers pressured to apply Sharia by killing an adulterous wife or daughter, or a perfect stranger participate in the killing of an apostate in the public square. Very few get arrested or punished for such crimes across the Muslim world. The ingenious Sharia uses vigilante street justice to bring about Islamic submission. That is why civil unrest and honor crimes go wherever Islam goes. The power of Islam comes from turning Muslim against Muslim — with a reward in heaven.

The above two examples of Islamic tyranny are not unique to Egypt, but exist in all Muslim countries. Islamic tyranny is encapsulated in a law that some Muslims claim to be their religious right in America. Many American citizens who left Islam are living in constant fear from Islamist individuals and groups right here, in the land of the free and home of the brave. I am one of them.

Bin Laden Rebukes U.S. on Climate Change

Osama bin Laden, the leader of Al Qaeda, blamed the United States and developed countries for not halting climate change and said that the global economy should immediately abandon its reliance on the American dollar, according to an audiotape released Friday by the broadcaster Al Jazeera.

“Talk about climate change is not an ideological luxury but a reality,” Mr. bin Laden was quoted as saying in a report on Al Jazeera’s English-language Web site. “All of the industrialized countries, especially the big ones, bear responsibility for the global warming crisis.”

The authenticity of the tape could not be immediately confirmed, and Al Jazeera, which is based in Qatar, did not say how it had obtained the message.

But if substantiated, it would be Mr. bin Laden’s second public message within a week. On Sunday, Al Jazeera broadcast a one-minute tape in which Mr. bin Laden hailed the Christmas Day attempt to bring down a plane over Detroit and warned of more attacks against the United States. Mr. bin Laden, who is believed to be hiding in Pakistan near the Afghanistan border and has issued several other audiotaped anti-West invectives, had not put one out in four months before the one about the Detroit attempted bombing.

In the message broadcast on Friday, Mr. bin Laden veered away from his traditional vows to inflict death and destruction on the United States, and instead discussed climate change, globalization and monetary policy in a message that he said was directed to “the whole world.”

He called for a worldwide boycott of American goods and the dollar. He faulted the United States for failing to sign the Kyoto Protocol, which sought to curb global warming by restricting greenhouse gas emissions. And he offered a word of praise for Noam Chomsky, the American linguist and liberal political activist.

“Noam Chomsky was correct when he compared the U.S. policies to those of the Mafia,” Al Jazeera quoted Mr. bin Laden as saying. “They are the true terrorists and therefore we should refrain from dealing in the U.S. dollar and should try to get rid of this currency as early as possible.”

Bank and government officials in China, Russia and elsewhere have previously floated the idea of abandoning the dollar as the world’s reserve currency, replacing it with a basket of other currencies and commodities such as gold. But Mr. bin Laden’s aim in turning away from the dollar were to inflict harm on the American economy.

“I am certain that such actions will have grave repercussions and huge impact,” he was quoted as saying.

These people are so far removed from what  Judaism that they are the same as the Jews that went willingly in to the ovens.  They thought that their deaths were what g-d esteemed.  This is what the communists want and the socialists.  These people have lost sight of g-d.  They are as corrupt as they come.  Otherwise they would be seeing what OBAMA does and not listening to what he says.  This is what the prophet Jeremiah harkened to.  These people willfully turn a blind eye to what Obama DOES.  He’s done nothing about IRAN.  They don’t want to see the evidence in front of their eyes.  They chant about the environment.  They have a religion, but Judaism is not it.  They commune together for power, greed and money.  These Jews are the outcrop from the ones that came out of the OSLO accords.  They are the diaspora that ISRAEL needs to forget.  These are the people that are helping kill Israel.  Their support for a man that supports everything and everyone that wants to destroy her, is not founded in truth and they need to come out and say it.  The diaspora Jews, like these jews,  are heathens.   I have met more Christians that are more loving of Israel than the likes of these people.  They are not the benefactors either, they hord their money and cheat at taxes.  These are the same Jews that go to a buffett and try to take things home.  Dispicable.  Israel was a great nation when she was strong and held her head high.  These people will send her to the arms of the sand people that want to ”drive them in to the sea.” 

Self loathing idiots who have truely turned away from g-d.  They are focused on their own idols.  These are false Jews.

We all know what happens to those that turn away from HIM.
