Jeg har gjort mig en fantastisk opdagelse her på The World Wide Web Læste en kommentar fra Pernille på hendes egen blog; Fashion by Frium, hvor hun nævnte hjemmesiden Polyvore.com, som et godt program til at lave collager i -Og jeg skal love for at hun har ret, det er et helt tøj-collage-paradis! Tjek det ud, blogger eller ej!

Collagen hér har jeg (surprise surprise) lavet over siden, og jeg er allerede afhængig. Det er en smadder god måde at få ideer og inspiration på.

Over at ShopStyle,  some of the highest rated looks on their site were less than impressive, yet, ShopStyle represented a much greater feeling of true insider access, to the clothes, and the people who love them, through their immense number of followers and active groups on the site. You can tell the folks at ShopStyle are not effin around when it comes to fashion.

However, we are and RenReport is getting a slow start at ShopStyle, however, we will have it all up and ready to go, by the time we launch the first edition of RenReportRadio on April 13, 2009 !

So I was thinking about valentines day today… and decided i would go to polyvore.com and make an ideal outfit for valentines day. Granted I have many ideal outifts for this depressing day, but i will share with you just one today. I actually have to leave for school in about ten minutes and I’m not ready so I will write more later!

Now, I’m a cow eater. I love burgers.  I’m a consumer.  I shop at Target, love designer bags, and generally enjoy “stuff” and “things”.  You’ll never catch me wearing hemp, eating tofu, doing beat poetry, or whatever kids do nowadays.

When I came across the above picture on my Google Reader today, I cringed.  It takes a lot to make me cringe.  Pigs tattooed with the Louis Vuitton branding are making a trip to Shanghai and all the world is excited.  My inner hippie came out.  I get that it’s art, but tattooing a pig with a corporate logo?  In today’s world I would not be surprised to see some CEOs selling advertising space on cemetery plots, but this made my inner hippie come roaring out.

They didn’t have a choice in the matter, now leave my bacon providers alone, dammit.

In other news, I’m completely and utterly 100% over summer.  I have absolutely had it with the sunshine that seems to mock me from the office, while I contemplate what the hell to do with our car that has now become a really big paperweight… courtesy of Ford Motors.

Everything is better in the fall.  It even smells better in the fall.  Every year it seems I go through a cycle.  Starting at the beginning of October, I get excited.  You can feel the weather is changing.  Birthdays are just around the corner (more specifically mine), with exciting holidays right behind them.  Everything is cheerier, even if the skies are a bit more gray.

Fall and the holidays really promotes togetherness for me.  Parties, canoodling and cuddling, warm fluffy sweaters, cozy nights in on the couch, holidays, presents, etc.  It’s like the fall has this gigantic pair of arms that open up to me at the end of summer and envelope me in a hug, telling me that crappy summer is gone and it’s okay.

I understand that is an incredibly disturbing image, but oh well.

Following the holidays, I still have football season to hold onto… until the Super Bowl.  After the Super Bowl, all I have to look forward to are taxes.  I haven’t gotten an Easter Basket since I was ten, so that holiday is out.  Beyond that it’s summer.

At first that initial flush of sunshine is refreshing… until you realize it’s just going to get hotter and more humid (especially around here), and there’s no escape from it.

Also I have never had terribly good luck during summer months.  Summer notoriously has been at time for unwanted or unexpected transitions.  Last year it was “the breakup” and the 16 hour solo drive/move from South Florida, although putting South Florida in my rearview mirror was a relief.  The year before that I had to move away from Boston, and so many of my friends.

I’m ready to trade in my flip flops and short-sleeved blouses for this:

(Polyvore.com is a little too fun.)  I’m over the hot weather and how DC never quite knows what to do with itself at the end of the summer, weather-wise.  Football season is here, and even though the universe has exploded and the Bears are winning games, I’m okay. (I mean, c’mon, Tom Brady is out for the year with a torn ACL.)  My 26th birthday is right around the corner, as is Patrick’s 25th birthday.  Bring it on.  I’m ready to get tired of cold weather, already.

After you get out of school, and the era of summer vacations end, what purpose does summer really serve other than to taunt us through the office blinds, as we are trapped in our offices and cubes?

Honestly, though, there’s nothing like a city in the fall.  I haven’t had that since 2006 in Boston.  I can’t wait.
