It’s Porno Graffitti.

Porno Graffitti isn’t new to anime. They did Melissa for the first Fullmetal Alchemist, Hitori no Yoru for GTO, Winding Road for Ayakashi Ayashi, and Koyoi, Tsuki ga Miezu tomo for the third BLEACH movie, Fade to Black. This song, obviously, is their second one associated with the BLEACH franchise.

Why funky? ‘Cause I think it is (lame reason, I know). It’s just the feeling, especially when listening to the music closely. And, let me be frank here, I prefer this than the previous OP (Shoujo S by Scandal); Shoujo S is too cheesy for my taste.

This band is one of my favorite band and here i got two song which both are the theme song from my favorite anime “Bleach”.Enjoy.

Antes da sua primeira apresentação no Tokyo Dome intitulada “Tokyo Romance Porno ‘09 ~ai to seishun no hibi~”, a dupla do Porno Graffitti irá lançar seu 29º single “Anima Rossa” no dia 25 de novembro.

Eles que há dois meses atrás lançaram o single “Kono Mune wo, Ai wo Sasu yo” (2º no oricon) e, no dia 28 de outubro, lançaram o DVD “ロイヤル ストレート フラッシュLIVE IN YOYOGI DAIICHI TAIIKUKAN 2009” (esse que inclui filmagens dos shows da turnê deles de 10º aniversário).

“Anima Rossa” está sendo usada atualmente como 11º tema de abertura do anime popular Bleach desde o dia 27 de outubro,  a música foi escrita e composta pelo vocalista e guitarrista Akihito Okano. Confiram a OP do anime com legendas em romaji e em português, créditos para a OMDA pela tradução!.

Essa não é a primeira vez que o Porno Graffitti colabora para o anime, já que o single “Koyoi, Tsuki ga Miezu Tomo” (lançado em dezembro do ano passado) foi usada como tema de encerramento do terceiro filme do Bleach chamado “Gekijouban Bleach: Fade to Black – Kimi no Na o Yobu” (Movie Version Bleach: Fade to Black – I Call Your Name).

O single também incluirá as b-sides “小規模な敗北 / Shoukibo-na Haiboku” e “邪険にしないで / Jaken ni Shinai de”, sendo que ambas as faixas possuem letras e melodias criadas pelo guitarrista Shindo Haruichi.

“Anima Rossa” estará disponível em apenas uma versão regular e, segundo informações, deverá vir com adesivos e também  um calendário.

Finally here, Anima Rossa by Porno Graffitti.  Enjoy and remember that this single comes out on Nov 25.

Song review:  From the start, this song explodes and captures the listener and holds them to this number.  The instruments carry a fast tempo and changes between soft and hard rock tunes especially Haruichi with his expert guitar playing.  Akihito’s vocals also carry the power in this song, keeping a fast tempo and strong tone.  This song as a whole is catchy and amazing which is probably the reason for its BLEACH tie-in.

Final Thought:  It’s quite the change from Kono Mune wo, Ai wo Iyo but still showcases the band’s talent really well.  Porno Graffitti continues to put out great music and never gets stale, always adding a new flavor to each release.  Speaking of which, when willl they come out with a new album.  Whether you count their singles from Anata ga Koko ni Itara or Koyoi, Tsuki ga Miezutomo their due for one by now.

So that’s this week’s Oricon Weekly. I’m not really surprised by anything there. I’m really happy for Angela Akisan, because <3. It's definitely great to see that she can still chart in the top 10 of Oricon after all this time! Maybe she will be able to have a long career. I never would have thought it though with her style of music being very middle of the road. I'm a little surprised Kumi is number 1, mainly because I don't think the songs are her best, but I guess that's just how the cookie crumbles

Single thứ 28 của nhóm Porno Graffitti mang tên “Kono Mune wo, Ai wo Sasu yo” được phát hành ngày 09/09/2009 và đạt vị trí #2 trên bảng xếp hạng các single bán chạy trong tuần của Oricon.

A-side “Kono Mune wo, Ai wo Sasu yo” là một bản ballad dễ nghe với đoạn verse nhẹ nhàng được phối chủ đạo với âm thanh của piano mang đến cảm giác yên ắng, vắng lặng. Những nhịp trống bước vào bài hát đưa người nghe đến với đoạn pre chorus – đoạn tớ thích nhất nhờ chất catchy đến nổi nghe rất quen thuộc ngay từ lần nghe đầu tiên. Hơi tiếc một tí khi đoạn chorus không theo kịp độ catchy và mạch cảm xúc ở đầu và giữa bài hát. Nhìn chung, a-side “Kono Mune wo, Ai wo Sasu yo” khá mạnh nhưng có lẽ sẽ tốt hơn nữa nếu đoạn chorus được chú ý đầu tư hơn và tăng thêm một chút độ dày cho vocal của Okano Akihito.

Đánh giá:

B-side “Diamond” lại là một track mang không khí vui nhộn và một chút ngẫu hứng. Bài hát không catchy đến nổi chỉ nghe một lần là là thấm, nhưng sau vài lần nghe, tớ dần dần nắm được cấu trúc của track này và thích “Diamond” không kém gì bản a-side.

Đánh giá:

Tóm lại, single lần này của Porno Graffitti khá thú vị và đa dạng về chất nhạc. Tuy vẫn còn vài điểm cần được cải thiện nhưng tớ khá bằng lòng với chất lượng của single này và tiếp tục trông chờ vào những sản phẩm tiếp theo của nhóm.

Điểm: 85/100

Để quảng bá cho single, Porno Graffitti đã phát hành PV (Promotional Video) cho a-side track. Xuyên suốt đoạn video là những gam màu tối thể hiện những cảm xúc sâu lắng của bài hát. Cả Shindo Haruichi (guitar) và Okano Akihito (vocal) đều trông đẹp hơn những PV gần đây của họ. Nói chung là tớ enjoy cái PV này ^^

Porno Graffitti finally begins their year with a ballad.  Kono Mune wo, Ai wo Sasu yo brings the duo to a good sound and it fits with Akihito’s vocals which sounded a little strained back in their last single.  I do love the arrangement that mixes the groups band sound with strings and piano.  I think it’s a good step in the right direction.

2. Diamond

Diamond is more to what I’ve been hearing from the duo since it’s upbeat and Akihito’s vocals are more expressive.  The beat is quite catchy and even though Akihito’s borderlining singing and just talking through the song, it’s got a good flow and shows the bands consistent nature of releases (at least from the songs I’ve heard).

It’s been a long while since “Koyoi, Tsuki ga Miezu Tomo” and this single brings them back quite nicely.  The titular A-side was a pretty nice ballad and shows that Akihito can sound pretty good when he isn’t in nasal mode while Diamond was pop/rock goodness and hopefully make their next album ^_^
