Cheryl Cole has pipped Victoria Beckham to land the title of Britain’s top-earning WAG after doubling her fortune over the past two years.

The X-Factor judge was said to have grossed an estimated 6.9 million pounds, thanks to TV and sponsorship deals, a soaring solo music career, endorsements and property agreements.

Well, to be honest I would have avoided that, just one match to play and we don’t know yet our final position, above all we don’t know if we’ll be able to have direct promotion to EPL.

These are our last results, some up & down as you see, a little slump for us, we lost the consitency we had some months ago.

Our table is not so reassuring, one match left andt and 3 teams still fighting for 2nd place!

I decided to have faith in my rebel striker, Motaeb, cause we needed his goals, some contradictory answers from him in these season finale.

Not happy about my team performances Idecided to change my tactic a bit, to add more firepower upfront, now I’m using a wide 4-4-2 diamond, with Boyd in the hole, Andreev and Motaeb are my strikers.

• Leicester – Middlesbrough

Three away matches, only one will survive!!

By the way, just to add more drama, our regular Gk,  Joe Lewis is injured and the only Gk I have now is David Jensen, a seventeen Danish with only one game played this year.

Yakubu will join Swansea City

During a season in the Coca-Cola championship many things could happen, it could even happen that your Chairman decides to sell your best defender, Abubakari Yakubu, my precious right back.

I signed Yakubu for free this year and his avg. rating was 7.02 at the moment, but when Swansea City offered 1,9 mil. for him, the board didn’t care about my opinion and sold him.

I know that 1,9 is a good offer for a low-budget club like us, but now I’ll have to find a substitute for one of my best players.

Please let me open your innocent eyes to introduce this post: If you’ve always thought Second Life was a world exempt from any kind of violence and aggressiveness, a world where people would be able to communicate and share their space with no prejudice and no bad intentions, a dream world then, let me tell you that maybe your real name is Laura Ingalls Walder (from Little House on the Prairie) or that you must immediately stop taking your anti-depressants (Don’t be ashamed! French people are one of the first consumers of these pills in the world, so if we can deal with this addiction, why couldn’t you?).

Yes, Second Life just like the real one is the place where all aggressions are possible! I won’t talk here about the way our fashionable eyes can be hurt seeing an avatar who wears the proof of its terrible bad taste on its shoulders. I won’t explain how some fashion faux-pas can wound a sensitive SL soul forever. I won’t demonstrate against some designers worse than the H1N1 flu trying to contaminate our wardrobes with the ugliest clothes ever imagined. No, I just want to talk about a stupid, basic, even not original case of aggression.

Some days ago, as I was shopping (again) at Cupcake sim, a girl nicely greeted me. After a certain delay, because I was focused on my wallet and some &bean items, I greeted her back. She was accompanied by two of her friends and I eventually understood she just wanted to tell me she really liked the way my avatar looked. I don’t really know what happened next but one of her friends starting to be more and more verbally aggressive against me. Was that because I had kept speaking English when they were French just like me (It’s always hard for me to switch between languages even for my mother tongue, as we’re used to speak English in SL)? Was this because I had something bad on my nose, on my clothes, on… Whatever! The fact is she decided to insult me in a very “florid” language I really can’t translate here, and for no reason!

I love provocation, I love using coarse expressions sometimes – even in my posts!- just to loosen some inhibited minds up! But this was not provocation: just pure vulgarity and simple meanness. Anyway, thanks to this charming person (I was about to write her name in these lines, but she doesn’t deserve this attention) I’ve learned I was a cunt, a bastard, a nigger, and some other instructive details.

This aggression was so sudden that I was unable to be quick at repartee. How surprising! I’m usually quite good in this exercise, but it had made such a long time since I last had been directly mugged that I was too miffed to say something smart and cold, as I’m used to. My fingers were shaking on my keyboard, my real heart was wildly beating in my chest. The only words I could eventually answer were: “You’re just pitiful, dear. Get lost and go to hell: you just have no sense of humour, of fashion, of any intelligence”. I can’t stop laughing when I read it now: a mix of polish style with coarseness, and a fashionista’s point of view. I know this is ridiculous. For once, I did not feel proud of anything at all!

At first I was about to report this event to LindenLab; then I decided to contain my anger: I put on this famous, wild and incredibly vulgar song of Peaches (I love them), and decided to use my rage to create an outfit! And this is the reason of this post.

This was easy: A short time ago LeLutka, Aoharu, and ANEXX released some creations which (all mixed together) perfectly meet my vengeance’s impulses. I equiped myself with lots of accessories, like a dress from the Doctress Q outfit (by Bare Rose) which includes  useful sharp “tools”, piercings from Deviant Kitties, dangerous gloves by Gear Shift, my Spike earrings (yes I know I already blogged about them) and even boxing gloves at any case…

Believe it or not, making this outfit helped me to get my calm back. My mind was peaceful again. Yes, no need to fight or to be violent against violence: FASHION FOR REVENGE!

Hello, hello, hello!  Or in the words of Ann Curry, “Good morning, good morning, everybody, in the news this morning, good morning.”  Oh what the heck, I’ll just let her say it.

Gets me every time.

So as some of you guessed, my prolonged absence was actually due to a misguided and ill-conceived attempt to grow a mullet like Tom Brady.  Now David Beckham is getting in on the weird mullet act.  Should such a beautiful man get a roadkill haircut?  And again, like Tom Brady and his lady, isn’t David Beckham like, married to Victoria Beckham, aka Posh Spice, aka Skinny McPencil?

It may seem like I’m digressing.  I’m not.  Posh, who likes to be called Victoria, (it’s a compliment, she says… How is your name a compliment, unless your name is Damnyouresexy Jones?) recently said in an interview that she won’t lie–she eats lots of salads.  ”Salad.  I’m not going to lie.  I’m not one of those people that says “Oh, I eat hamburgers.”

And the sick thing is, I’m so glad she said that.  I never thought that she ate anything other than salad, except for maybe the occasional kilo of cocaine (jk, no one can pry the cocaine shipments from Kate Moss’s kung-fu grip), but I’m just glad that she finally publicly said something honest.  This helps take away the stigma from women in this country who DO eat hamburgers (guilty!) that we’re somehow inherently flawed because we can’t seem to look like Victoria Beckham.  I do like Victoria Beckham, because she let her son wear his astronaut suit out in public, because she seems to love her children and her husband, and because she’s not shoveling loads of bull at the average American.  For that, Victoria, (can I call you Vicky?) I am grateful.

Now enough about boring, skinny famous people.  Let’s talk about me!  I have been noticeably absent for the past five or so days.  Honestly I was working like a crazy person trying to get something ready for tomorrow.  Of course, I’ve wanted to blog so badly the whole time that I’m staying up way too late tonight as a trade off, but no matter.  Back in college I’d never go to sleep before 3am.  I was so nocturnal I thought I’d begun to grow a marsupial pouch.  (In reality I was just getting another fat roll on my stomach.  I blame Taco Bell for being open til 2am or later.)

During my absence, I did not let you down, dear readers.  I stayed within my calories and tracked them compulsively.

One thing that I really must work on is eating regularly.  I eat breakfast every day, because as reader Christine mentioned on her blog the other day, eating breakfast kickstarts the metabolism.  Now I’ll be honest.  There’s lots of dietary information out there that I think is total crap, but I’m a big believer in the metabolism.

Thyroid issues aside, I don’t think that some people are born with a fast one or a slow one.  I think we train ourselves into one end of the spectrum.  For instance, in high school I “ran track.”  (Translation: I did shot-put and discus on the condition that I never, ever had to run in practice–a condition to which the coach agreed because I held the county records and he needed the meet points.  Despite the common assumptions, shot-putters are not all Helga and Thor.  It’s all about technique, really.)  My friends were some of the distance runners.  Not surprisingly, they were very, very thin.  In the off season they ran cross-country.  In their spare time, they ran around their neighborhoods.  Meanwhile I was sunning myself in the backyard and biting individual grapes from a bunch I dangled from my hand.

It is my opinion that, (and I am by no means a doctor–I don’t even play one on the internet–so feel free to ignore this non-medical advice), a slow metabolism lives in a body that moves less, and a fast metabolism lives in a body that moves more.

The metabolism is what allows a bear to hibernate for months and wake up thinner but healthy.  His metabolism slows to a crawl and he stores all his fat.  His body works very efficiently on little energy.

That’s the same thing we do when we skip breakfast!  We send the bear into hibernation and our bodies start conserving fuel (FAT) because there’s no new supply.

Think about the first people on this planet.  I’m of the they-were-put-here persuasion, but you might be of the they-evolved-from-sea-monkies persuasion.  Either way, they didn’t have it easy.  They basically walked around (which is why walking is so important to a healthy lifestyle) looking for food, ate when they found it, went hungry when the didn’t.  That’s why our bodies can work much like a bear’s.  We were built for such occasional periods of hunger.  It’s not a flaw that we gain weight, it’s part of the intricate design of the human body.  This was all worked out long before Glen Bell ever dreamed of opening the first Taco Bell.  And even longer before someone realized that a drive thru meant never even having to stand up to get your food.

So the moral of the story is eat your breakfast.  Otherwise you’re just making weight loss harder.

In other news, I have a puncture wound on my right pinkie where the dog bit me when I was trying to take away a pecan tree branch that she wanted to bring inside and chew into sawdust.  I was very concerned about this at first, but then I realized that I’d be really ticked off if someone tried to take away my 7 Layer Burrito, and then I kinda see where she’s coming from.  However, that’s no excuse.  So I’m going to work on enforcing the rules with her more.  It’s been hard because I’ve been so busy, but she’ll be happier if she’s not biting me and getting a subsequent spanking.  The Ranch is a mess too, and the Mothership is coming to visit tomorrow, so I’ve got to get cleaning as soon as asap.  (My best friend used to say that.)

I promise I’ll try to keep updating regularly.  I’m also thinking progress photos once a week.  I know I said that earlier, so now I’m going to make good on it.

I swear i must of looked like a Jehovah’s Witness today while i was walking back from the library. I picked up a book by Friedrich Nietzsche called “Beyond Good & Evil”, and it looks pretty similar to a bible (or an occultists handbook? Didn’t wanna leave you guys out).

It was printed sometime in 1907. 1907!! Pretty amazing considering it was published only 21 years before that. One benefit (i suppose) is that it’s leatherbound, sorta makes me wanna keep hold of it y’know? Maybe build up my own little collection on a sweet smelling mahogany bookshelf and marinade myself in 1941 port constantly. Shouting “M’YAH! M’YAH?! M’YAH!!!” every few words while smoking a pipe. Wearing dicky bows and corduroys, using only ulbus oil as aftershave. Good enough mental picture? I like it.

I discovered a newish hair shop, Mustache, that’s got some radness going on already. I had to do some individual prim adjustment and make the hairs bigger using the built-in resize scripts because I think the creator is using a head smaller than 45, which is what I have. Still, they’re way fun and I like the texturing! P.S. the hat has 10 colors to choose from!

Love these shoes! Thank you, Bare Rose, for cheap awesome stuff. I feel so feminine walking around in toe shoes. I honestly think they could go with anything so long as you’re okay with pale pink or white tights

Skin Flicks just released this loose sweater which is exactly what I’d be wearing in RL to keep cozy and stylish. I love mixing basics like this with a little glitz and glam. The Posh dress I found hiding in my inventory is perfect!

La intención de las siguientes líneas es informar de manera objetiva y contar con claridad una historia que espero les cree reflexión.

El consumismo no sólo es una forma de vivir, sino de pensar, consumismo es la forma inmoderada de consumir. Consumir: destruir, extinguir…

Al consumir inmoderadamente somos consumistas, pero ¿de qué? No sólo se trata de un producto o un servicio, sino también del mundo mismo,  existen productos innecesarios que dañan el medio ambiente, sin embargo se venden en grandes cantidades.

Aunque nos encontremos en estado de crisis seguimos comprando éso que de antemano sabemos que no nos es necesario. A este paso nos queda claro que el mundo actual es un mundo de cabeza y fragmentado, que la sociedad está cada vez más permeada e influida por los mass-media, los cuales demuestran su gran interés por imponer reglas y formas de pensar y aunque sepamos que nos hablan de una gran mentira como que tal o cual producto nos dará la felicidad, alegría y belleza de por vida, ahí estamos de nuevo, adquiriendo y comiéndonos esa enorme mentira.

Las técnicas de mercadotecnia son cada vez más sutiles, juegan y se aprovechan de los sentimientos y las formas de pensar de una población logrando que incluyamos productos que nunca antes compramos como parte de nuestra despensa básica.

Las estrategias de venta juegan un importante papel en el hábito del consumismo,  inventan vacíos psíquicos que posiblemente no tenemos, como aquéllo de que un mejor carro te hará una mejor persona y ¿cómo venderte esta idea? Argumentando que tú -por supuesto- no tienes un buen carro, sin embargo estoy hablando de algo muy superfluo porque existen productos que utilizan las figuras de amistad, familia, noviazgo para consumirte, para que consumas al mismo tiempo que consumimos nuestro planeta; la publicidad intenta llenar esos vacíos fantasmas prometiendo cumplir tus deseos más inalcanzables.

Y la estrategia que presenta el mercado para llenar ese deseo es la compra, no importa el precio ni tampoco si tienes el dinero puesto que puedes pagar a crédito y entonces todo aquéllo pulsional lo depositamos en los objetos que representan esa falta que es necesario conseguir, el comprador se vuelve compulsivo e insatisfecho con ganas de tener siempre el mejor celular, el mejor carro, el mejor todo porque así lo presenta la televisión, el radio, Internet… Estos partícipes del mercado atacan con mensajes subliminales avasallando al sujeto, llenándolo de ideas invitándolo a comprarlas y sometiéndolo a la insatisfacción por no poseer lo que aparentemente en esta época ya es fácil.

El más claro ejemplo lo encontramos en la publicidad del periódico, la radio, la televisión… nos invaden con sus anuncios publicitarios apoyando a las grandes transnacionales  promoviendo la venta de sus productos por encima de cualquier precio, cultura e ideología.

Una de estas grandes empresas, la que quiero exponer como el más grande estandarte del consumismo es Coca-Cola. Es en este punto donde intentaremos ahogar todas nuestras ideas y opiniones, pero para ello me permitiré contar un poco de la historia de esta enorme empresa transnacional.

El refresco Coca-Cola nació en el año de 1898, inicialmente fue un producto farmacéutico, actualmente se encuentra en 200 países del mundo como bebida; uno de ellos es México, ocupando el primer lugar del mundo en consumo de Coca-Cola.

Coca-Cola Company llego a México en 1898, este producto fue el primero en tener su anuncio publicitario en el Zócalo de México y no sólo éso sino que 100 años después (1998) con el desplome del precio del petróleo, un litro del crudo mexicano de exportación llegó a costar 10 veces menos que el producto de esta transnacional, pero no es hasta el año 2000 que alcanzo su auge cuando el ex-presidente de México Vicente Fox otorgó a la empresa más concesiones de agua, menos aranceles… Cabe destacar que Vicente Fox en años pasados fue gerente de la compañía Coca-Cola en México.

Actualmente en México, Coca-Cola Femsa (franquicia)  cuenta con 12 refresqueras siendo la de Monterrey, Nuevo León la más grande de América Latina y con el primer lugar en consumo de Coca-Cola a nivel nacional.

Alrededor de este refresco surgen varios mitos como el que se cuenta en las Islas Barbados: La Coca-Cola transforma el cobre en oro, o como el que no sólo es un mito sino parte de la realidad, al menos propia de un pueblo en México, un pueblo indígena ubicado en el Estado de Chiapas: San Juan Chamula (donde se le ha dado la mote de Santa a tan comprado refresco).

En pueblos indígenas de Chiapas este refresco se consume más que el agua, en promedio una persona consume alrededor de 10 Coca-Colas al día, puede ser por la falta de agua, es que entonces este producto suplanta el vital liquido.

No es de sorprenderse este acontecimiento puesto que en San Cristóbal de las Casas, Ciudad Chiapaneca representante del centro de comercio de alrededor de 20 pueblos indígenas, en uno de ellos: San Juan Chamula, se encuentra una de las 12 compañías de Coca-Cola Femsa.

Es así que… La vida tiene sabor, con Coca-Cola ¿Todo sabe mejor?

Parece ser que para los habitantes de San Juan Chamula así es, en este pueblo indígena el 74% de las personas son católicas, pero en realidad, su culto es una mezcla de las tradiciones mayas con la fe católica, ellos no veneran a Cristo, en su lugar está San Juan Bautista, Cristo sólo tiene un papel secundario.

El templo de este pueblo recuerda por fuera a una iglesia cualquiera, bella por lo que representa, alrededor de la plaza se aprecian cruces de madera y lejos de lo que nosotros podríamos imaginar representan algo distinto, son un símbolo maya que semeja el cultivo del maíz.

Pero es dentro de este templo donde podemos adentrarnos en las verdaderas costumbres religiosas de los Chamulas: Al entrar, nos sorprendemos con que no hay bancas, el piso se encuentra tapizado por espinas de pino, dándole un olor exquisito, alrededor del mismo se encuentran los santos que los Chamulas han decido castigar (porque no cumplen sus mandas), estos santos portan un espejo que utilizan para evadir el mal de ojo, pero no sólo éso sino que están adornados de decenas de listones de colores que simbolizan la petición de sus creyentes, cada color significa una enfermedad, una demanda…

En el piso los indígenas se arrodillan orando y te transmiten su sentir, también colocan velas de colores con un significado, una vela blanca podría representar una enfermedad no tan grave, sin embargo si tienen velas negras podemos pensar que oran para curar una grave enfermedad. Pero no sólo utilizan listones, pino o velas para sus rituales, también son utilizadas gallinas, en promedio en San Juan Chamula llegan a costar alrededor de $250.00 pesos cada una; después de ser pasadas por encima de sus enfermos son sacrificadas, tras la oración y el sacrificio de la gallina el chamán toma su tradicional posh, una bebida aún más fuerte que el tequila, para provocar el eructo y así sacar los malos espíritus y lograr la purificación del alma, aunque también utilizan para este rito nuestro tan preciado liquido: La Coca-Cola. Así es, esta bebida toma el lugar del posh en tan viejas tradiciones y no sólo eso, sino que en San Juan Chamula existen Caciques que condicionan este producto al igual que las velas y los listones, la Coca-Cola la encontramos en una vieja presentación de envase de vidrio de litro y medio, fuera del templo apreciamos cómo es que las personas compran su refresco y se sientan a tomar en alguna banca del pueblo dicho liquido.

San Juan Chamula es un claro ejemplo del enorme poder que tienen las grandes transnacionales, no sólo sobre el  mercado sino en las ideologías y cultura de los pueblos.

¿Coca-Cola comete un gran atentado contra las tradiciones de nuestros pueblos indígenas?

Se los dejo a consideración.

Siempre Coca-Cola provoca en México el aumento del consumo de su producto alrededor del 6% anual y que un mexicano consuma aproximadamente 483 refrescos de 8 onzas anualmente o que por lo menos una persona consuma Coca-Cola una vez por semana, ni que decir… Coca-Cola, es así.

Es por éso y más que la bebida más refrescante del mundo ha provocado que se genere un boicot sobre sus productos, el boicot consiste en la unión de varias organizaciones que se preocupan por las grandes atrocidades -a consideración de ellos- que esta empresa ha provocado, como la matanza de empleados de la embotelladora de Coca-Cola en Colombia, o en el caso de Chiapas, Estado en el cual sus habitantes se pelean por agua, y Coca-Cola no sólo es una de las principales sino es la mayor empresa transnacional que extrae agua en este Estado.

Anotar que la extracción de este líquido está provocando la erosión de la tierra y como efecto dominó las cosechas se secan en Chiapas.

Son incontables las atrocidades que la referida empresa ha ocasionado a este estado, haciendo una lista estamos hablando de:

1. La transgresión de la cultura indígena, sobreponiendo el consumo de este producto por encima de su propia ideología
2. La implantación de caciques que se aprovechan de los indígenas cuando les venden este producto
3. La extracción del agua ocasionando disputas entre pueblos y que les corten el agua por adeudos de $50.00
4. La erosión de la tierra, y por lo tanto:
5. Las cosechas se secan

No sólo he querido hablar de esta empresa por las cuestiones ya expresadas, sino por la experiencia que he tenido a lo largo de mi vida de cómo el producto somete, transforma y liquida las formas de pensar.

Sé que existen miles de casos que podrían ejemplificar al consumismo, uno de ellas sería la televisión, pero he querido tomar en consideración este producto porque no conoce limites, porque he visitado pueblos donde el transporte, ni las clínicas son posibles, sin embargo Una Coca-Cola y una sonrisa siempre están ahí, porque Coca-Cola Company nos convence de ser La mejor elección, y por una simple y sencilla razón: ¡No me gusta el sabor de la Coca-Cola! Y siempre que lo digo existen exclamaciones del tipo… ¡Cómo! ¿No te gusta la Coca? ¡Eres rara!

Puedo concluir que consumismo no es sólo una palabra, su significado va más allá, lo que llamamos consumismo es ya parte de la época en la que nos encontramos, es ya parte de esta ideología, forma un círculo alrededor de nosotros junto con el capitalismo, potsmodernidad e individualismo, forma ya parte de la globalización, afectando inevitablemente a todos, por ello hice mención a San Juan Chamula.

Nos encontramos en un sistema donde no existe el derecho a réplica, aquél que es diferente (estoy pensando en quien prefiere comprar libros a ver televisión) es un elitista, como diría Giovanni Sartori en su libro Homo Videns, la Sociedad Teledirigida.

Consumir, y de manera casi automática, es más importante que cualquier otra actividad, aunque podría entrar en confusión porque en la actualidad cualquier actividad como hacer deporte, escuchar música, estar con la familia, dormir, comer, cagar y coger se vuelven objetos de mercantilización, ahí están los aparatos de ejercicio con los que bajas de peso sin mover un pie; encontramos la Coca-Cola como el centro de una buena comida en familia, pastillas que mejoran el placer de dormir, comida light, condones de colores, sabores, texturas y olores y por ultimo Cha, Cha, Cha… Charmín, el papel de baño más resistente.

Es claro que no podemos evitar esta forma de vivir y de pensar, es casi imposible detener la maquinaria, sería utópico mencionar formas de cambiar este mundo, ya estamos acostumbrados a vivirlo porque nacimos en este sistema, sin embargo estoy convencida de que pequeñas cosas provocarán grandes cambios.

Como evitar consumir bolsas de plástico, intentar comprar al mayoreo, preferir productos naturales, reciclar, ahorrar agua, luz, gas y dinero.

Pero sobre todo: Dialogar con el otro, no frente a la pantalla del televisor como nos han acostumbrado; el dialogo es entre al menos dos personas y puede convertirse en la principal arma que podemos utilizar frente al marketing, la televisión, los gobiernos, en fin, todo aquello que representan los mass-media.

El dialogo es una de las formas en que podemos evitar que los medios publicitarios nos vendan aquéllo que garantice esfumar nuestra soledad, es una forma de compartir y no comprar sentimientos.

Cheryl Cole has reportedly taken the position of Britain’s top-earning WAG from Victoria Beckham.

The X Factor judge earned £6.9 million, compared to the former Spice Girl’s £6.75 million, over the past two years, the News of the World claims.

A source told the newspaper: “It’s the end of Posh Spice’s reign. Queen Victoria is on her way out. And there’s a new princess ready to take her crown.”

In addition to the money she has made as a result of starring on The X Factor, Cole has also boosted her bank balance through her singing, various sponsorship deals, interviews, modelling and some shrewd property purchases.

However, the source claimed that Cheryl could earn even greater sums in the future.

They said: “There’s much more in the pipeline. She has the potential to be massive and leave other WAGs – including Posh – behind.

“Cheryl will be the ultimate WAG money-making machine.”

The source suggested that Beckham’s star, on the other hand, may be waning, claiming: “There isn’t the same buzz about new, fresh, lucrative contracts.

Weeks ago as I was eating my breakfast (one diet cup of tea, one diet orange, one diet-nature-yogurt and one diet-mini-bowl of diet-organic-cereals with some drops of low-fat organic soya milk… yes my life is very exciting) and reading some news, some lines caught my attention: “Karl Lagerfeld doesn’t like fat women”.

Was I fooled by my eyes still paralysed by my last Botox injection? I’m afraid my vision was perfect. And here is a short summary of what I read : According to Karl (interviewed by the german magazine Focus), “nobody wants to see plump girls in fashion (…) There are fat old maids sitting in front of the television with their crisps’ pack saying that thin models are hideous. (…) The world of Haute Couture is a world of dream and illusion and must remain like this.”

Wow! I had a terrible headache trying to understand what the f*** had happened to Karl!

Maybe these words were the last provocation of a famous icon of Fashion to be talked about in the actual war’s cacophony against skinny models in fashion shows, adverts and magazines. Whatever your real shape is, you must have heard about this polemic about the actual models and the example they give to teenagers and young women thinking the today canons of beauty flirt with anorexia.

This position which sounded cleaver at first becomes an hypocritical “politically correct” thought, and maybe Karl Lagerfeld, as a refreshing trouble-maker, wanted people to think in a less dichotomous way. I’m not sure… As lots of fashionistas, my brain is too small to go so far…

Maybe his words were only the expression of an ex-obese who can’t accept to look in the mirror and see what he used to be before becoming a kind of skinny-decrepit-living concept. You know, it’s like me: before I used to smoke one pack of slim Vogues a day, and since I’ve stopped smoking I can’t stand smokers in a more violent way than non-smokers themselves!

Or maybe Karl is the most pragmatic designer in the world, and just tried to explain that ultra-thin models are so flat that they are the best tools to show a Haute Couture collection. It’s true that watching his last Chanel show during the fashion week in Paris, you could sometimes imagine clothings were shown on living coat-hangers.

Anyway. No matter which reason he had to express himself, his point of view is completely stupid and discriminatory.

I’m not into this revolution against thin models. In France we already had our big Revolution in 1789, so thanks but non merci. Some girls have nothing but skin and bones but are sublime, some big girls are gorgeous, some thin models look like you could eat chinese food with their legs, some fat girls are indeed depressed in front of television. No rules! No labels! It’s a matter of self-confidence: learn to love you and show your inner beauty! Rise and shine!

Okay, enough! I sound like Jim Carrey in The Yes Man and I’m not fond of him (except his performance in Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind ) neither of the comparison with a man.

As a reaction to Karl Lagerfeld sentences, I decided to create a big shape for my avatar if some people still had to be convinced that big girls can be fashionable and can model. Of course, for my outfit (which is detailed at the end of this post), I could not resist to wear the head piece from “Chapeau Très Mignon” called “Lagerfeld” (I kiss you Karl but not your ass of course).

Walking in the SL streets in this shape, I felt a kind of pride, and not only a posh one. I’m not used to these curves, both RL and SL, but for the first time in this virtual existence, I really felt special, different, AND still gorgeous. We’re all walking around in our perfect skinny shapes, with huge breast, invisible waist, lovely hips, flat ass, perfect soft skins (excluding feet and some skins of designers I won’t reveal… for now). We’re all so far from life in SL and at the same time in a large majority we adopt the codes and the criteria of beauty of RL magazines and advertisings… different worlds, different lives, same stupid unreachable pictures of ideal…

I confess once my outfit made and my pics taken, I jumped back in my skinny shape (despite I’m a true fan of Beth Ditto ), but maybe some of you will be smarter than me after this post.

The 26-year-old has earned millions from TV sponsorship deals, her time with band Girls Aloud and solo music career over the past two years.

Meanwhile, Victoria’s reign has begun to fade as it emerged she earned £6.75m from her Spice Girls reunion and fashion label.

A source said: “It was only a matter of time before someone replaced Victoria Beckham as number one WAG.

“Cheryl has her finger in so many pies with her L’Oreal ads, X Factor reignand of course, Girls Aloud, that she has become unstoppable. ”

Cheryl’s fortune has more than doubled, thanks to her role on the X Factorjudging panel alongside pop mogul Simon Cowell, which netted her£1.75million in two years.

The pop princess, worth an estimated £12million in total, has also made £2.5million from her music career – as one fifth of Girls Aloud, as well as a fledgling solo career.
