Your social media sites reflect you, they reflect your product (or service) and they have an impact

Your social media sites reflect you, they reflect your product (or service) and they have an impact on how people perceive you…so why keep them a mess?

Well just like my headline stated… I’m going to pick on my buddy Matt.

His “wall” has a stockpile of stuff that needs to be cleaned up.

 Stuff like…

“I went from working a full-time job (I HATED), to working from home and making $10,000+ a month. I had been working as an assistant for very little pay. I was miserable and living pay check to pay check. The more time went by, the further into debt I went. I had to make a change and FAST.”

“I filled out a short form and applied for a work at home kit. There is a small shipping fee, its not really free but it was under $5. I got the Kit just 3 days later and within the next month I was making over $5,000 a month. It’s really simple, I am not a computer expert, but I can use the internet.”

“Hey I have great news. Did you know that if you have a computer you can start making money right now ? I started this job 3 weeks ago and I’ve gotten 2 checks for a total of $3150 and that is enough to comfortably replace my old jobs income, especially considering I only work about 10-13 hours a week from home.”

“Did you see the flash news about work-at-home-mom? She makes $89/hour working part time. Monthly 8795 $ income from home… I just signed up and already earned 72 $ this hour. It is really amazing…If you are looking for a work-at-home job, i suggest you to take a look at this press now”

Matt didn’t post these, someone else did. These appeared on one of his social sites, can you guess which one? Yet, Matt being the nice guy he is, just left them there for everyone to see…UGH!

I know Matt is a smart guy…but what message will his visitors receive when they go to his social site that is filled with crap ads that don’t belong there.

 Be vigilant!

Remove all unwanted posts! Yeah, there’s a button for that! Use it!

Consider your social sites like your sandbox…you only allow certain friends to play in it, but what happens to a sandbox when left unguarded? I’ll tell ya what happens…the neighborhood cats come over and use it as a litter box!

Keep your sandbox clean! Otherwise your friends may not want to come around!

 Until next time,

 “Live with passion”

P.S. If you guessed Facebook…you are absolutely right! I check at least once a day to make sure my Facebook wall (my sandbox) is free of postings I don’t want to be there. Sure, it can be a nuisance sometimes, but I want my visitors to see a clean and inviting sandbox to play in.

I just returned from a great vacation at the beach. The cool thing was, it looked like I was was in

I just returned from a great vacation at the beach.

The cool thing was, it looked like I was was in front of my computer posting to social media the whole time. Nobody knew I was away.

Yeah, I know… it was wrong of me to trick you in such a dastardly way. But hey, even us marketing maniacs need a break now and then. So, I apologize if I tricked you. Although, it was so much fun…muwhahaha!

If you must I know I was in Dewey Beach enjoying the fun, sun, surf, sand and way too much food. I think next year I might have to take the whole summer off.

Well, I wasn’t without my iPhone!

I stilled checked voicemails, emails and occassionally poked my eyes into Facebook and Linkedin a few times to see what was happening.

One gentleman called me and couldn’t believe I wasn’t actually posting “live”, that everything that was appearing on my social media sites had been preprogrammed to go out at specific times.

I carefully explained to him that although I would love to be in front of my computer or tied to checking every post via my cell, it just wasn’t feasible and that it would hamper my ability to help my clients. And, that by having my posts staggered throughout the day I could live my life and focus on helping my clients make money.

“Where do I sign up?”…was his reply!

He had suffered frustrations from trying to post to every social platform out there, he was tired and needed a break. He just wanted to focus on what he knew best…and social media wasn’t it.

He realized that I could probably teach him how to do it, but that it would require time and he really didn’t want to come up with material for content, nor be distracted with trying to learn something new.

So as I write this, I’m also researching, writing and jotting down information to turn into brilliant, money-making, attention-grabbing posts for him!

 How ’bout you?

Do you want to put your social media experience into overdrive? Are your frustrated with content creation? Maybe, you’re annoyed that you’re spending too much time glued to the computer and not enough time focusing on making money! Or, maybe, you just need a break away from knowing what’s going on with everyone on your social sites.

 Yep, I can help ya!

Social media is rapidly changing the landscape of the internet are you prepared?

Facebook has surpassed Google in traffic. Yep, social media has trumped the world’s greatest search engine. Over 500 million users are actively engaged on Facebook!

 Are you ready?

 I am!

If you want to improve your social media experience, without all the headaches, without the frustrations, without all the annoyances or without all the sweat equity lost coming up with content and hours of posting every day… then you owe it to yourself to change.

If its frustrating, annoying, or a waste of time why do you do it?

 Learn to change the rules!

 Learn to simplify your life!
