A kuku!

Skoro coś zapowiedziałem, to należałoby słowa dotrzymać. A więc do dzieła.  Z racji tego iż ostatni post pojawił się w sierpniu, musiałem odświeżyć zawartość całego bloga, wykonałem to w takiej kolejności:

#1 – Działy

A więc w dziale “Roster” możecie po odświeżeniu, odnaleźć aktualnie pracujących zawodników w federacji.  Nowością jest to iż możecie dowiedzieć się, jaki finisher stosuje dany zawodnik, gdyż znajdziecie go w nawiasie. Póki co wpisane ma je mała grupka wrestlerów jednak niebawem zostaną one wpisane dla wszystkich.  W dziale “Titatrony” w miarę możliwości, znajdziecie najnowsze Entrance Theme’y waszych ulubieńców. Jednak aktualizacje będą się stale pojawiać. Jeśli chodzi o treść zostały zresetowane działy “Wyniki” oraz “PPV”. Znajdziecie więc w nich informacje startując od dzisiaj, a nie od sierpnia. Swoją formę zachowają zaś “Klasyczne Momenty” oraz “Klasyczne Walki”. Nowy materiał co prawda, będzie się pojawiał co tydzień, ale zapewni to jak najlepszą ich jakość. Nowością jest dział “Bio” gdzie przeczytać, będzie można biografię wrestlerów TNA. Na rozgrzewkę możecie przeczytać jak potoczyła się kariera AJ Styles’a. Nie wykluczone że już niebawem zobaczycie, 2 lub 3 nowe działy, jednak nic teraz więcej zdradzić nie mogę.

#2 – Wygląd

Pewnym zmianom uległa również prawa strona bloga. Z racji tego iż zniknął dział zdjęcia (dlaczego, wytłumaczę w 3 punkcie) będzie można podziwiać zdjęcie tygodnia, na którym za pewne często będziemy mogli podziwiać TNA Knockouts. Po za tym wszystkie przydatne funkcje pozostały, jak przeszukiwanie wpisów poprzez kategorię czy datę dodania. Zmienił się również górny banner, przez co wygląd jest już oryginalniejszy, oraz wskazuje o jakiej tematyce jest blog.

#3 – Reklama

Nie da się nie zauważyć, że w większości działów znajduje się reklama forum Polish Wrestling Zone. Dlaczego tam jest? Po części to forma reklamy, gdyż tak samo jak ten blog, forum jest w moim projektem (jestem jego współzałożycielem), który nie ma jeszcze takiej renomy, jaką mieć powinien. Więc jeśli interesujcie się wrestlingiem i szukacie miejsca do rozmowy na tematy z nim związane, ale chcecie też poznać fajnych ludzi i dobrze się bawić, rejestrujcie się na PWZ. Co do zdjęć o których wspomniałem powyżej, dział na blogu był bezsensowny, gdyż rejestrując się na forum, znajdziecie w odpowiednim dziale, setki zdjęć z gorącymi i pięknymi TNA Knockouts. To powinien być kolejny mocny argument do rejestracji.

#4 – Podsumowanie

Blog nie zmienia swojego profilu, będzie was informował na bieżąco co się dzieje w TNA, znajdziecie w nim raporty, felietony oraz wiele innych rzeczy które są kompendium wiedzy dla fana federacji w Orlando. Więc nie pozostaje mi nic innego jak zaprosić do odwiedzania PWZ i tego bloga codziennie i pozostawiania komentarzy!

I’ve been putting this recap off this week. Nothing to do with the show. It was actually a fabulous Pay Per View. One of the better ones this year. But with all that cross brand action I was finding it difficult to decide how to go about it. I had planned on doing a podcast but my technology has failed and, quite frankly, I need to get this one done asap.

The show kicked off with a midcarders’ match in the first of three traditional Survivor Series elimination matches. Team Miz consisted of Dolph Ziggler, Sheamus, Jack Swagger, Drew McIntyre and of course Captain Miz. First of all, what are all these rumours about Dolph Ziggler being up for the shop? If Dolph gets released and is wished well with his future endeavours, it’ll be a tragedy. I mentioned during Cool Britannia Week that Dolph was the stand-out worker of the Smackdown House Show in the ‘Diff. If he’s not pleasing creative it’s because they’re not using him properly. I digress.  Team Miz were up against Team Morrison, obviously captained by John Morrison and accompanied by Matt Hardy, Shelton Benjamin, Finlay and Evan Bourne *sigh*.  Every time you mention Evan Bourne from now on I expect you to sigh afterwards, just like when Homer Simpson fell in love with Arthur Fortune. Arrrrthur Fortuuune ohhhhhhh!

An excellent match to get things started, tempered by that old rivalry between Miz and Morrison. This match was all about saying “This is the future of the company, get used to it.” Oh and also about letting us see exactly what all those white boys would really look like without their gravy spray. I’m pretty sure Ayrshire is as cold and sunless as Dublin, which goes to show just how thick Drew McIntyre’s fake tan is. I’ve always thought fake tan makes your skin smell like stale digestive biscuits, so if you’ve ever wondered what the middle of a wrestling ring smells like, now you know.

I can smell it from here. Biscuit and a cuppa anyone?

Things weren’t looking too promising for John Morrison when he found himself alone and faced with Sheamus, McIntyre and The Miz. It would have taken some Super-John-Cena magic for him to pull that win off. He didn’t. Sheamus pinned him and sealed the deal for the bad guys.

It took days for Sheamus to wash the orange imprint of Morrison's abs off his back.

From there we went backstage where the next collection of faces were psyching themselves up. Kofi’s team of Christian, MVP, Mark Henry and R-Truth were noting that one of them appeared different to the rest. Christian was feeling a little insecure, but as R-Truth so eloquently expressed…..

Then Christian did some very dubious rapping about being the only non-black bloke in the group. Stick to the day-job, darl. We’ll come back to that crew later.

Next we had the battle of former family – Batista vs Rey Mysterio. With all that intense emotion it should have been epic. Even my dad, who tries really hard not to like wrestling, has felt the need to let me know how convincing Dave’s heel turn has been recently. Seems he’s been paying more attention than he’d care to admit! Anyway, it should have been great, but meh! It was kind of obvious that SS would not bring the story to a conclusion and so it didn’t really have anywhere to go. Of course Dave walked away victorious. They’ll be milking this one to the death. It almost looked as if Mr. B was ready to make friends when he sat down for a chin-wag.

But it turned out he just wanted to lure Rey into a false sense of security before walloping him with the chair he’d just been sitting on. Nice guy.

We needed to go back to the locker room, where Team Kofi’s opponents, Team Randy Orton, were preparing. Now that’s a team I’d like to go to a country retreat to do team-building exercises with. Raft building and mountain climbing etc. Bagsy I spot  Randy while he climbs the plastic wall. And you’re not mistaken, that is my compatriot William Regal with his Survivor Series t-shirt tucked into his trunks.

It seems some team-building exercises could have helped this lot out. There was more tension between them than between Randy’s trunks and his package! But Randy reminded them all, particularly Punk, that they had to work as a collective. Did they manage it? Let’s see…….

But before we reached that point it was a spectacular match.  This was, after all, laced with main eventers and it lived up to the hype. CM Punk was particularly angry about R-Truth’s entrance, having to be held back by the referee. I don’t blame him. It’s pretty dire. I love people who aren’t afraid to show their passion for music.

Just repeat after me, babe.... even through the darkest days, this fire burns, always, this fire burns, aaaaaalwaysssssss! ....... Soothing!

As I say, the whole thing was rather wonderful but the big story was the arrival of Kofi Kingston as a main event superstar. A journey complete. Admittedly, I was cheering for Punk and Randy to join forces and take Kofi out, but the energetic former Jamaican deserved this transcendence to wrestling greatness. (Worship me, Striker!) Of course, my favourite moment of the match was when Punk decided to blow me a kiss before he brought Kofi down with a thump. Yes. I did reach my hand into the air, catch the kiss and spread it across my lips. What of it?

Kiss after kiss after kiss. It's like magic!

Jericho vs Big Show vs Undertaker for the Heavyweight title was a little slow getting going, although Chris Jericho telling one of the crowd who damned him to Toronto that he was an idiot for not knowing that the Jericho(Irvine) brood hail from Winnipeg was a stroke of pure genius. If this moment did anything, it made me hanker for the old Chris Jericho. Y2J. Jericho’s return to the top this year has been due to this socially superior character he’s been playing, but anyone following his Twitter knows that comedic Chris is still alive. I’d LOVE to see Y2J come back and have a feud with Punk. L.O.V.E! Imagine this but with Randy replaced with CM.

Once all those aching muscles warmed up it was a great match. Taker retained the title (as expected but not hoped) and JeriShow remained intact.  It appeared that Big Show had the upper hand, pulling his straps down and reaching for Taker’s neck for a chokeslam. But it was not to be. I think had he not taken those few extra seconds to get more naked, he might have pulled it off. Show’s pasty flesh spurred the Undertaker on to move quickly and remove the offending form. Show tapped out after getting wrapped up in Hell’s Gate.

Pure mathematics.

Right, now the Divas match. The day before Survivor Series I posted a rather impassioned  (if slightly too long and serious) rant about the WWE’s women’s division. You’ll be pleased to know I won’t be doing that again for some time. I’m all lady-ranted out! The match itself, while shorter than the other elimination matches, was pretty good. All involved worked well, even if several fell foul of Beth Phoenix’s immense power in quick succession early on.  The final three ladies in the ring, Bad Gal Captain McCool, Lovely Lady Captain Mickie James and her bestest pal Melina, were all pretty fabulous, pulling out some great work.  Melina pinned Ms. McCool to win the match and I cheered my biggest cheer of the night for Team Mickie James.

Alrighty, time for the final match of the night – Triple H vs Shawn Michaels vs John Cena for the WWE Championship. Had I been pushed for a prediction on this match, I would have expected Cena to retain but for some other shenanigans to do down with DX.  I was kind or right, but was surprised at how quickly that played itself out. So was everyone else! At this point I was getting a little sleepy so I salsa danced around my living room to DX’s entrance. Sounds odd, but it totally worked. It went something like this, but way sexier and in pyjamas……..

I was awake and ready for a few minutes of pushing and shoving before things got interesting, giving me time to consume yet another mince pie before I got too excited to eat. That was not to be. Within seconds of the bell ringing Shawn Michaels kicked his leg out and delivered some bitchin’ Sweet Chin Music to Triple H’s head. It was like you could hear his jaw bone snapping.

It happened so fast the crowd hadn't even had time to react yet!

Once we’d recovered from that shock, the match got going for real and it was BRILLIANT. I know I wasn’t the only one watching in a European timezone contemplating how they were going to force themselves to sleep once this show drew to a close at 4:00am. It was that exciting, made all the more finger-tingling by the commentary team. I believe I tweeted….

Yes, there is a word missing from that tweet. It should have been 'when Striker gets excited'. My fingers are awful. Which is just one of the reasons why Matt Striker would never come near me. (Shut up, Southern.)

All three guys got their fair share of action but ultimately John Cena won, holding on to the title for another month.

This was the perfect time for DX to disband. This week’s Raw promised much angry banter between Hunter and Shawn. Did it happen? Don’t hold your breath. And a whole new opponent got all up in John Cena’s grill and signed a contract for a title match at the TLC PPV. It was rather surprising. I’ll go into the Survivor Series fallout in the Raw Recap over the weekend.  JEBUS! What a night!

Ok, I’ve been a terrible blogger. I’m now behind on three weeks of Smackdown and one week of Raw. Oops. Those catch-up posts will be up tomorrow, promise. But for tonight, let’s focus on Survivor Series.

Batista vs. Rey Mysterio
Is there anyone who thinks Mysterio is winning this? I didn’t think so. Batista looks better and stronger as a feel than he ever has a face and it makes no sense for him to lose now. The only question is how badly will he hurt Mysterio?
My Pick: Batista

Michelle McCool, Jillian Hall, Beth Phoenix, Layla and Alicia Fox vs. Mickie James, Gail Kim, Kelly Kelly, Eve Torres and Melina

First of all, can I comment what an oversight it is that Natalya is not in this match? She’s probably the most talented woman on the WWE roster and I loved seeing her in the ring at Bragging Rights, it was one of the highlights of the terrible show. She would be a much worthier contribution than Layla or Alicia Fox, just saying. That said, team McCool is a little less useless than Team Mickie, so they’re winning.
My Pick: Team McCool

John Morrison, Matt Hardy, Finlay, Evan Bourne and Shelton Benjamin vs. The Miz, Jack Swagger, Drew McIntyre, Sheamus and Dolph Ziggler
Team Miz seems stronger since it’s got five hot, young stars including two guys (McIntyre and Sheamus) who are getting major pushes from the powers that be, while Team Morrison has three guys who are mid-carders at best and never going to be more than that, as well as two hot, young stars. But… The Miz and Jack Swagger seem to be headed for a big feud and I see that getting in their way tonight and giving the win to Morrison’s team.
My Pick: Team Morrison

Randy Orton, Ted DiBiase Jr., Cody Rhodes, William Regal, and CM Punk vs. Kofi Kingston, Christian, R-Truth, MVP and Mark Henry
We actually get to see Christian at a PPV! Yay! That said, I don’t think we’ll see much of him. This match is really about Kofi Kingston and Legacy, particularly Randy Orton. My prediction is that Kofi will be the last man standing on his team and he’ll be left facing Legacy, but that the three members of Legacy will start squabbling and somehow Kingston will manage the victory. This would solidify Kingston as a major player and it would start the long over-due destruction of Legacy. Not saying they’re breaking up tonight, but I think after tonight we’re going to be one step closer to the final split.
My Pick: Team Kofi

The Undertaker vs. The Big Show vs. Chris Jericho for the World Heavy-Weight Championship
I’d love for Jericho to win this, but we all know that’s not happening. And The Big Show doesn’t seem like a legitimate contender either since he hasn’t managed a one-on-one title shot in the last year, neither has Jericho for that matter. The Undertaker is retaining, but the destruction of the tag team champions is going to happen. They might not break up tonight, but the end will be in sight.
My Pick: The Undertaker

John Cena vs. Triple H vs. Shawn Michaels for the WWE Championship
Cena got a clean pin over on Triple H on Monday, which makes me think he’s losing the belt tonight. The only thing I went back and forth over was which member of DX is going to win the title. In one way it made more sense for it to be Shawn Michaels to win to set up the eventual DX split since we all know they’re facing each other at Wrestlemania. After all Triple H used to be the guy who was all about the title, it would drive him nuts to see his friend with the belt and lead to a Triple H heel turn. But then, I realized that it also made sense and would be in character for Shawn Michaels to help Triple H win the belt (remember Michaels once laid down to give Triple H the European Championship) and would allow for tension down the road. The fact that Triple H took the pin on Monday made me think that that’s the way it’ll go.
My Pick: Triple H

Kofi Kingston en Smackdown vs RAW 2010

En Survivor Series 2009, Kofi Kingston eliminó de manera consecutiva y en menos de un minuto, a dos ex-campeones WWE: CM Punk y Randy Orton
Si ese no es el empuje más grande que un talento joven ha recibido este año, no se que cosa pueda serlo

El dark match previo al incio oficial del PPV Survivor Series fue:

Este es el póster oficial del PPV TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs (Mesas, escaleras y sillas)

Pero es un póster muy extraño:

• Usa una imagen de acción sobre el ring, en lugar de una foto especialmente tomada (como es costumbre), y de hecho no es una foto bien escogida, el Undertaker no luce ni tan alto ni tan fuerte como lo haría desde otra perspectiva
• Edge aparece, a pesar de tener meses lesionado
• No están los nombres de los luchadores (como en posters recientes)
• No tiene el formato “completo” que se acostumbra, lo cuál es notorio en el Wallpaper, que está disponible aquí

Quizá WWE no quiso dedicar mucho presupuesto de imagen para TLC, que será el último PPV del 2009 (13 de diciembre), el siguiente ya será el Royal Rumble 2010

Mais uma match questionavel, mas dessa vez uma match de divas e ainda envolvendo a Melina a nossa grande estrela, mas sobre a match Mickie James na SmackDown dessa sexta-feira(20/11)chorou pela humilhação que McCool a fez passar, Mickie provavelmente fará sua vingança é uma diva de qualidade.

No site oficial da WWE já foi colocado o poster oficial do PPV WWE TLC:Tables, Ladder and Chairs o PPV vai acontecer dia 13 de dezembro e é o substituto do PPV Armageddon, ele será o próximo PPV depois do Survivor Series. O poster está acima.

Uno de los PPVs clásicos de WWE, busca regresar a sus orígenes con un cartel lleno de luchas por equipos que completan las de sobrevivientes, evitando lo ocurrido en años anteriores, donde las luchas en formato “Survivor”, quedaban reelegadas a segundo plano

  • Un duelo donde ambos equipos están llenos de mini-rivalidades (Finlay-McIntre, Sheamus-Burne, Miz.Morrison, etc), y que además es radicalmente diferente, el de Morrison es el equipo veterano, el de Miz el de “novatos”. Los primeros deberán ganar al final

Sería interesante que durante el match quedara marcada una rivalidad Phoenix – McCool, donde una de los cambiara de bando
  • Pronostico: No es relevante, aunque el equipo de rudas es mucho más fuerte

  • Un match de “The Legacy”, reforzados con Regal y Punk deben ser indudables vencedores, pero será interesante el papel que toma Christian, quién incluso podría ser el sobreviviente final de su equipo. A menos que WWE apueste todo a Kofi y sea él quién conduzca a su irregulr equipo a la victoria
  • Pronostico: TEAM ORTON
• Rey Mysterio vs. Batista
  • Aparentemente Rey requiere cirugía, esta puede ser una lucha rápida donde Mysterio sea violentamente aplastado por Batista, quién se consolide en su papel de rudo. ¿Alguien dijo que un enmascarado mexicano podría aparecer para ayudar a Mysterio?
  • Pronostico: Batista
• WHC – The Undertaker © vs. Chris Jericho vs. The Big Show
  • ¿Acaso Jericho podría convertirse en campeón mundial y campeón unificado de parejas a la vez?, suena demasiado, más aún para el Big Show. El Undertaker debe ganar y enfocarse al camino a WrestleMania que prácticamente inicia al terminar este PPV (el último PPV grande del año)
  • Pronostico: Undertaker
• WWE – John Cena © vs. HBK vs. HHH
  • Si todas las señales que apuntan a un Cena vs Undertaker en WrestleMania son correctas, Cena debe mantenerse en la cima, de modo que justifique un gran duelo estelar ante el Undertaker. Pero sin duda el punto más interesante del match, es si DX podría llegar a tener fricciones
  • Pronostico: John Cena (Aunque sería excelente ver nuevamente como campeón a Shawn Michaels)

natürlich geht es nach meiner kreativen Pause auch mit der WWE und der dazugehörigen Vorberichterstattung weiter. Bereits in der Nacht von Sonntag auf Montag geht der nächste Big 4 PPV im Verizon Center in Washington DC,  also Batistas Heimatstadt über die Bühne.

Die Triple Thread Matches der WWE sind eigentlich immer gut und bei dieser Besetzung dürfen wir uns auf ein wirklich tolles Titelmatch freuen. Der Undertaker ist zwar gesundheitlich angeschlagen, aber das sieht man ihm selten so richtig an. Chris Jericho ist vielleicht der beste Wrestler, der momentan für die WWE arbeitet. The Big Show kann hier durch seine Stärke punkten und wird bestimmt mit Jericho aneinander geraten, auch wenn sie Tag Team Champions sind. Ich erwarte ein vom Tempo her schnelles Match mit dem Taker als Sieger.

Triple Threat Match
John Cena vs. Triple H vs. Shawn Michaels

Dieser Match könnte sogar Wrestlemania headlinen, denn diese Paarung ist mit das Beste, was die WWE auf die Beine stellen kann. Dieses Match ist absolut Survivor Series würdig, weil wir gleich drei absolute Topstars im Ring haben. Ein bisschen blöd ist es, dass wir gleich zwei Triple Threat Matches haben, aber es ist wie es ist. Ich erwarte ein technisch hochwertiges Match und bin sehr gespannt, ob die DX am Ende noch zusammen sein wird, oder ob man sie wieder trennt.

Tipp: John Cena

Rey Mysterio vs. Batista

In seiner Heimatstadt will sich Batista also an seinem kleinen Ex-Freund Rey Mysterio rächen, da er ihm die Schuld gibt, dass er beim letzten PPV den Titel nicht geholt hat. Es ist alles ein bisschen einfach gestrickt, aber wir dürfen uns auf ein tolles Match freuen. Die beiden harmonieren ganz gut im Ring und die Stärke von Batista und die Technik von Rey können für ein abwechslungsreiches Match sorgen.

Zur einer guten Survivor Series gehören diese Elimination Matches dazu. Hier haben wir das vielleicht interessanteste, da viele Fehden ineinander greifen. Orton vs. Kingston sehe ich hier am interessantesten. Ich erwarte ein tolles Match mit einem Sieg der Heels.

Auch die Diven haben ein Elimination Match bekommen. Von der Klasse her würde ich die Heels mit Jillian, Beth, und Michelle vorne sehen. Bei den Faces sehe ich nur Mickie und Melina als echte Wrestlerinnen an. Ich tippe auf einen recht schnellen Sieg von den Heels.

Fazit

Ich finde die Mischung aus absolut toll aufgestellten Triple Threat Matches und den Eliminationen Matches sehr gut. Zumal mit Batista gegen Rey noch ein Sahnestück dabei sein könnte. Mir gefällt die Card und ich freue mich auf die Card.

Manny Pacquiao’s historic 12th-round TKO of Miguel Cotto in Las Vegas on Saturday night did big business.

The Top Rank-promoted fight generated 1.25 million buys and $70 million in domestic pay-per-view revenue, HBO announced Friday. If historical trends hold, the numbers will increase when all of the buys are officially audited.

The 1.25 million buys, the most for a boxing pay-per-view this year, came from 650,000 from cable homes and 600,000 from satellite services.
