As you all know by now, Mama Soul joined us on wednesday when Zelda and I went to the New Moon premiere. I promised a whole post about all the awesome stuff she said, so here we go!
A few days previous to the big event she watched a special about the Twilight-fans in between her nightly work (No, she’s not a prostitute, she’s a nurse). That was when she saw for the first time that there were Teams -Team Edward, Team Jacob, Team Switzerland- and that many people were wearing their Team-shirts to the screenings.

So that was probably when she decided she wanted to have a Team-shirt as well. But she kind of didn’t really get why there were different Teams or what they stood for. She just picked her favorite Twilight movie character and decided she wanted to be on his Team. In the end she did not wear a special shirt to the premiere, but guess whose Team she chose? Mama Soul, one and only official member of Team Charlie! Yep, that’s right! Why not, Charlie’s great, isn’t he? Okay, now follow the comments she made while watching the movie for the first time.

Mama Soul: “Uh, that was so obvious, she’s just so clumsy.”

Alice racing through Volterra aka Montepulciano. Mama Soul’s a huge Italy fan and has been there so often I lost count three years ago.
So when you see the city from above she smiles happily and says: “Hey, there in that corner is that cute little store where we once bought that great cheese!”
Uhm, yes mum, that was totally what I was thinking about too…

Honestly? How did she come to that conclusion after seeing Cathy Hardi’s film only once, not reading any of the books and not even having seen any trailer in order to not spoil her the surprise? And then she starts the following conversation:

Mama Soul: “But Jacob looks awesome, not the face so much, but his body, man he is buff!”
We: “Yes, and he’s only seventeen!”
Me muttering under my breath: “But legal in Georgia.”
Mama Soul: “Yeah, in the movie… but he’s older in real life!”
Zelda and me together: “No, in real life! He only turns eight-teen in february.”
Muttering under our breath: “Wow, embarrassing that we know that… not that we’re counting or something…”

She laughed throughout the cinema scene with Mike and Jake sitting awkwardly in their seats watching that super-stupid action movie. She laughed about each single dog-joke because hey, Mama Soul just loves dogs. Guess she would love to have Jacob as her son-in-law… just saying. Okay, and to be honest, she made the “OMG it’s so cheesy I think I must throw up” gesture. But only four times. That’s not often considering that the movie was kind of cheesy in some parts.

Wanna know what Mama Soul predicted as the ending of the Twilight saga? I’ll tell you in a few days. It’s probably the funniest thing anyone ever said to me about the whole Twilight business, so don’t miss it! Zelda laughed her ass off  when I told her and I want to do this great quote justice. Therefor I will feature this one in a special post. Sorry! But hey, it’s worth the wait, promise!

Han aparecido en la red tres posters promocionales de la pelicula mas esperada en diciembre: Nine, dirigida por Rob Marshall la mente maestra detras de Chicago, lo que todos quieren ver es el duelo de divas, aca las actuaciones de Nicole Kidman, Marion Cotillard, PENElope Cruz y la legendaria (por la edad XD) Sophia Loren, lo que me sigo preguntando es porque carajos Kate Hudson y la Vergie estan en la pelicula, ni son cantentes ni mucho buenas actrices…

Tyler Perry must be uber successful now, because that is the only time you get lawsuits filed against you claiming copyright infringement and other such claims of fraud, abuse, and misrepresentation.

Earlier this month, Tyler decided to answer claims of coonery, launched by Spike Lee against Tyler’s work, that were never discussed between the two directors in private, or the many years that Tyler performed the plays that are the subject of his movies,which is just jealousy on the part of Spike, but a sign of Tyler’s success.

He recently donated a million dollars to the NAACP,http://www.afro.com/tabId/551/itemId/5398/Director-Tyler-Perry-Makes-Largest-Individual-Dona.aspx , making it the largest single donation to the organization from an individual.

He is truly reaching back and supporting our communities, as well as hiring a multitude of black talent , in front of, and behind the cameras. It was what we hope that all of our black celebrities would do for the audience that supports their product, and should be celebrated rather than torn down.

Today, TMZ.com is reporting that a lawsuit over copyright infringement has been lodged against Tyler Perry.

Tyler Perry used too much of the goodness of Jesus in his movie, “Madea Goes to Jail,” at least according to a new federal lawsuit obtained by TMZ.

The suit, filed by the personal representative of deceased gospel singer/songwriter Bertha James, claims Perry lifted an entire verse from a song James wrote in 1950 — “When I Think of the Goodness of Jesus.”

The suit claims Perry pilfered the verse and used it in “Madea” — specifically, “incorporating the entire Chorus in a monologue delivered by the main character in ‘Madea” referencing her deliverance from a jail sentence and leniency for repetitive criminal conduct, in a staged court proceeding presided over by ‘Judge Mabeline.’”

Bertha’s estate, which is also suing Lionsgate Entertainment, wants unspecified damages for copyright infringement.

I have fought tirelessly to protect and maintain our current copyright laws, as well as to strengthen them in order for future generations of family  to benefit off of the exploitation of our artistic creations.

I feel that in life, most artist never attain financial security from their work, so I stand on the fact that the inherited value of ones art that is gained after death, is the financial gain that we, as artist must protect for future generations of our family, in perpetuity.

The downside of that , are nefarious lawsuits such as this one, that appear to be an attempt to loosely tie in a phrase of words, into an infringement case.The standard of substantial similarity is clear, and any competent attorney could connect the dots of what is actually a protected element in a creation, and what is not, quite easily, before going to court.

In this case, it is a phrase from a song, that was not performed in the movie, but Madea may have said…”Prasise God”…in the movies.

This case will not meet that standard, and the launching of the case is whimsical at best.It will be dismissed summarily, which means that it will be thrown out of court, mark my words.

It appears to be a bid for public relations, but probably more like a sad attempt to extort money from Mr Perry, and to sully his pristine public image.

Stay strong  Tyler, the more successful you get, the more idiots will creep out of the woodwork to try to get at your wallet, no matter how good you are to our people.

Tyler Perry is the producer, along with Oprah Winfrey, for the new movie that is gaining Oscar buzz,”Precious”,that is in theaters now. Run out to see it and support Tyler against this ridiculous lawsuit.

Zelda and I made it! We finally saw New Moon! Yesterday we went to the premiere here with a couple of friends and Mama Soul. We saw some people wearing Twilight-shirts, a couple of Twimoms and even a Twidad. I didn’t even know they exist until yesterday… And a lot of girls wearing plaid. Coincidence? A subtle tribute to Rob? Who knows? (I do!) Our premiere outfit? A blue blouse just like book-Bella, Ray Bans like Edward and the original Bella-bracelet from Italy (Great story concerning that one, I’ll tell you soon in another post!). So today we’re gonna present you our New Moon review part 1. Part 2 will follow soon… and include a lot more details cause we’re gonna see the movie about 23 more times before writing that. Just in case you haven’t seen the film yet (You better got a good excuse for that!) and want to have the real surprise when watching it for the first time: SPOILER ALARM! Starting now and ending at the end of this post. So here we go:

First of all, down with Cathy the Cougar! Chris Weitz, do you want to marry me? What an enormous improvement in comparison to Twilight! I’m not going as far as to say it was the perfect movie, but honestly Chris, you’re so down with the kids! Or rather the Twilight-fans. Or Zelda and me. This is how vampires should look when they sparkle! Like diamonds and not that ringing and tinkling in the woods crap. Two minutes into the movie and I already love Charlie so much. How sweet when he almost started to sing, or when he came to look after Bella when she was screaming in her bed. We even got the names of the months after Edward left. Something I had really been hoping for!

... but most of the time doesn't, because he shouldn't!

And the e-mails for Alice idea to show how Bella feels, what an incredibly clever move of you, Chris! And I loved that Harry Clearwater, the king of homemade fish-fry, died as a hero trying to protect Charlie from Victoria. And oh how Rachelle looked awesome with her flaming red hair. Zelda totally liked the cliff diving scene. When Bella first sees Victoria under water and then there’s Edward beside her… epic! And the funny stuff, like the cinema scene or the “You like older women, huh?”. Not exactly as funny as the spider-monkey line but still… And Jasper and Emmett were so much… uhm, cooler, cuter? Whatever, better anyway!

Ok, there were a few things that were kind of strange and I think we got to mention them as well in order to try and stay honest. Sometimes it was a bit too cheesy. Cheesier than the books. I even felt kind of 2nd-hand-embarrassed for Edward being so hardcore romantic. I noticed that Edward’s abs seem to have looked a lot better on the pics from the set we saw a few months ago. In the actual Volterra scene, they were barely visible. So what happened there? I mean, isn’t Edward supposed to have at least a six-pack? Jacob even got an eight-pack, so in comparison to that… sorry to say Rob, but Taylor wins this one!

Did anyone else think Marcus and Caius looked like Denethor, Faramir’s dad from Lord of the Rings, and  Draco Malfoy’s older brother? Did the Volturi fight scene between Edward and Demetri remind you of the Gandalf vs. Saruman battle in the LOTR?

And there’s another thing. Not your fault Chris, this is just how Stephenie Meyer wrote Bella and the reason why this girl sometimes annoys the crap out of me in the books: Who do you think you are, Bella “don’t hurt him, kill me instead” Swan? Why should the Volturi treat Edward’s life against yours? You’re nothing but a weak clumsy girl, okay? Sorry to say, but deal with it!

All in all, we got everything we wanted… Well, almost. Taylor Lautner wore a shirt in at least three scenes. BIG FAIL! Sorry Chris… But don’t worry, Zelda and I enjoyed the movie a lot. We’re probably going to watch it over and over again for the next few weeks… Only because of important blog journalism of course so that we can present you a more detailed review soon. Wanna know what Mama Soul said about New Moon? She made so many great hilarious comments that she will get her own post this week. Don’t miss it! There’s no better way to watch this film than sitting in between her and Zelda. We’ve got enough stuff to write about for at least four weeks, so keep coming back to check what else we got in store for you!

The web is abuzz not only about the widely successful Twilight sequel, New Moon, but also about its punk rock leading lady.  Breathtakingly beautiful and mysterious, but with an extremely down to earth personality, Kristen Stewart is always the center of discussion and controversy.  Her most recent style choice to cut and dye her hair had the beauty world in turmoil, and wondering if their beloved brunette picture of Bella Swan would be gone forever (no worries folks- she wears a wig in the next movie!).

El día de ayer se presentó en el Odeon Leicester Square de Londres la premiere mundial de la cinta Lovely Bones, evento al que acudieron el Príncipe de Gales y la Condesa de Cornwall, lo que convirtió el evento en una presentación real de acuerdo a los protocolos de ese país. A la misma asistió tanto el director Peter Jackson como otros miembros del elenco. A pesar de la presencia de la realeza, asisitó también una gran cantidad de público, por lo que el mismo fue una combinación bastante extraña de alta nobleza y evento popular.

Today’s the day. We thought it might never come but now it’s finally here. Today Zelda and I are going to see New Moon. Wow, just writing it down makes me almost go completely fangirl-crazy… But of course this is a special occasion and you cannot simply walk into the theatre, sit down, watch the movie and then leave again. For something this huge you need to be prepared properly! So this is why we came up with a “ten things we absolutely need for the New Moon premiere” checklist. We tried to pick only stuff you can hide away in your handbag easily so no one will envy you because you thought it all out so well… uhm, actually we thought it out so well, but whatever. So now we proudly present the ultimate New Moon premiere survival package aka everything Zelda and I are trying to stuff in our handbags before we leave tonight.

I may or may not have disguised our New Moon premiere tickets as swan lake ballet tickets...

1. Our tickets! Most important of all and therefor our number one. Because if we forget them we’re going to get into huge trouble when we try to sneak in undetected… I got them four weeks ago just to make sure we get the best places, the VIP-seats so to speak.

2. A camera so we can take pictures of ourselves kissing the Edward and Jacob cutouts all the crazy fangirls, wearing their best Twilight-outfits, which are sure to be there.

3. A paper-bag in case we’re going to hyperventilate because of all the half-naked smoking hot guys in New Moon aka the wolfpack. Okay, and maybe also because of Edward in the Volterra “I wanna get killed because I sparkle” scene.

Are you already hyperventilating? Because I know that I am...

4. A pen and

5. A note block so we can write everything important down in order to write an amazing post tomorrow with at least 100 details you couldn’t remember after seeing the movie for the first time. But in reality we will write zero stuff in it, absolutely nothing at all. Because we will be so occupied watching Chris Weitz’ masterpiece that we will completely forget about the awesome note blocks we brought. And then we will have to write a typical “What we thought while seeing the movie for the first time” post and go to the cinema again to catch up on all the details… which we will, trust!

6. Our Team Edward (probably Zelda) and Team Jacob (probably Soul) hankies in case we have to cry during the whole breakup scene (*false, we don’t have special hankies but I bet if you search through the internet you’re sure to find someone who will sell them*)

7. Our special Tayrob tribute movie meal consisting of a bottle of Heineken (for Rob) and a bag full of meat-patties (for Taylor). Yeah, who wants popcorn if one can have this?

8. A pillow to muffle up a.) your sobs during the breakup scene and the “Bella’s a zombie now” part b.) your screams during the birthday / jasper’s hungry scene, the Volterra scene and everytime Taylor Lautner or any other member of the wolfpack (ahem…Alex Meraz…ahem) takes off his shirt and shows us his awesome abs for basically no reason. Hey, you don’t hear me complaining…

9. Very important: earmuffs! Just in case ,plaid earmuffs,Rob Pattinson collectioneveryone goes completely fangirl-crazy about the huge amount of abs shown in the movie and you can’t bear it any longer without becoming deaf. Simply put your earmuffs on and enjoy the picture on the big screen. Best get them out every time as soon as Taylor / Jacob’s hands go anywhere near the rim of his shirt…

10. Okay, this one does definitely not fit into our handbags but I got to mention it anyway: my mom! Yes, my mom will come with us to watch the movie. And since she’s one of those people who absolutely hate spoilers, she hasn’t even seen the trailer yet. And didn’t have time to read the book. And therefor has zero idea what’s going to happen. Another reason why I absolutely need number one, the camera. So that I can take super sneaky pics of her anytime something unsuspected (well, for her at least…) happens. Like Jasper trying to eat Bella. Or Edward leaving. Or Jacob taking his shirt off (probably not so unsuspected after the 5th time…). Or like Paul and Jacob transforming into wolves. That’s probably my favorite, cause she doesn’t even know there are wolves at all in that movie… This is gonna be great! I will write a post about that for sure! Souls mum freaking out during New Moon, coming soon… for sure!

Ik ken niemand die het boek niet heeft gelezen en iedereen zit ook met smacht te wachten op de verfilming.

Voor ons gaat hij morgen in premiere, maar de sterren van Nederland mochten de film

vorige week al aanschouwen. Lovende reacties waren het toen ze er weer uit kwamen. Ik hoop het.

Ik hoop dat de film net zo mooi is als het boek en dat is een hele moeilijke taak, omdat je in boeken

veel meer gevoel kan leggen. Daarom wou ook geen enkele regisseur de taak op zich nemen. Petje af voor Reinout

dat hij het wel durfde, maar dat vind ik geen reden dat hij ook zowat de ster van de film is.

Als een andere regisseur de taak op zich had genomen, een iets minder bekend persoon, dat werd er ook

niet zo heisa over gemaakt. Maar misschien heeft hij wel fantastich werk afgeleverd en hoor je mij naar

de film niet meer klagen. In ieder geval was heel Nederland zowat uitgelopen om de film te komen bekijken!

So beginnt eine neue Story auf BPShorties. Ähnlich wie der Blogroman hier feiert diese Kurzgeschichte auf Twitter ihre Premiere. Es existiert bisher also nur dieser eine Satz, außerdem der Titel und ein Titelbild. Wer wissen möchte, wie es weitergeht, darf mich noch nicht fragen, kann aber des Öfteren mal auf BPShorties vorbeischauen. Und wenn die Geschichte dort zu Ende geschrieben ist, findet sie auch auf diesem Blog ihren Platz.

Es wird wohl in jedem Fall abenteuerlich.

Nachdem ich (wie gestern berichtet) von Tante Helene bei der Hotline von wilhelm.tel so nett verbal bewirtet wurde, wählte ich daraufhin gut gelaunt die 01805-Nummer des Sky “Kundenservices”. Ich beantwortete die Fragen der digitalen Türsteherin bereitwillig (ich glaube die Antworten waren “4 – 4 – nein – 3 – Kundenberater – Kundenbrater – KUNDENberater”, oder so) und auch die ewig lange Warteschleife konnte meiner mentalen Gesundheit nichts anhaben (wobei ich mich, wie immer, fragte, wieso es eigentlich so schwierig sein muss, anständige Musik hierfür zu finden). Als ich dann endlich mit einem echten Menschen sprechen durfte surfte ich immer noch auf einer Welle aus guter Laune, die innerhalb der nächsten Minuten der nächsten Stunde jäh an einer Hafenmauer aus Ignoranz und Antipathie zerschellen sollte.

Die junge Dame Frau am anderen Ende der Leitung hatte nämlich kein bisschen Interesse daran, sich überhaupt mit meinem Anliegen zu beschäftigen. Natürlich könne sie mir eine neue Smartcard zuschicken, stampfte sie in mein Ohr, das würde dann aber 7,- Euro kosten. Darauf wollte ich mich natürlich nicht einlassen, schließlich war das Ganze ja nun wirklich nicht auf meinem Mist gewachsen – wieso sollte also ich dafür bezahlen. Nach und nach begann meine Laune sich zu verschlechtern und auch das muntere Durchgestelle durch diverse Hierarchieebenen trug nicht zur Besserung bei. Letztendlich, nach gefühlten  2 Stunden und 7,- Euro (ich hatte die Smartcard also quasi schon via Telefonrechnung gezahlt) einigten wir uns darauf, dass alles so bliebe wie bisher, hatte ich doch vor, vorab die  Tante Helene von wilhelm.tel dazu zu überreden, doch einmal direkt mit den Drachen von Sky zu sprechen. Ich erwischte mich beim schmunzeln, als ich mir vor meinem inneren Auge das Duell “Tante Helene” vs. “die Hydra des Bezahlfernsehens” ausmalte.
