Okay, I said I would be back with my top 5 suggestions for quality cat food, and here they are.  A few things to consider while reading my suggestions are that they are not in any particular order, and they are all available in Canada.

1)       California Natural – Sterling’s current diet.  As I mentioned in my first blog, Sterling has an intolerance to chicken, so she’s on the Salmon and Sweet Potato formula.  They focus on limited ingredients to create what they call “hypoallergenic pet food”.  In addition, they offer diverse flavours with different proteins, so it’s a good brand to try out a few and see which one your cat likes best.

Fresh wild-catch salmon and mackerel are used as the only animal protein sources in California Natural Salmon & Sweet Potato Formula and are a palatable source of Omega 3 fatty acids – especially DHA, for shiny coat, smooth skin and a healthy immune system.  Contains no grains!

2)      Innova – actually the same company as California Natural (Natura).  They have formulas geared towards the maintenance of your cat’s health based on their age and/or their nutritional needs.  One that I would consider for Sterling would be the Low Fat line.

Low in fat, but high in taste, Innova Lower Fat helps your cat keep the extra weight off.

And again, in this brand you will absolutely not see “by-product” in the ingredients.

3)       Wellness – This brand is one that I would feed to Sterling hands down if they didn’t have chicken as an ingredient in each formula.  They have an extensive line of wet food flavours and high standards all around.

I would like to reiterate that I didn’t come across these brands through the television, nor the grocery store.  They didn’t impress me with their fancy websites and blurbs about cat food.  They know their stuff.  They are only sold at the smaller (non big box) retailers, and yes, they cost more than $5 for a 6lb bag.

Ingredients are key and these 5 brands have the best of them.  Not to mention that most of these brands have extensive product lines; canned or dry food, treats and supplements.

Up and coming will be my quick tricks of the trade when you’ve decided to change your cat’s food.

I have seen an article in relation to suzuki and a request to ban old imported vehicles, the pakistan govt should try to put in a law to govern cars sold on to the market between 5 and 8 years to encourage new car sales and get old cars off the road as old cars are less fuel efficient and emit more co2 then newer cars and less safer in car crashes for the passengers and drivers and any victim of a road crash.

For those who make money from premium and old cars sales they can move to new car sales getting a direct relationship with car manufacturers and govt can tax that market properly as cars can sold at a discount to people who do that sort of business and park up their cars at dealers either by direct dealer relationship or direct car manufacturer relationship. The manufacturer should encourage that sort of relationship between dealers and buyers to get sales. People who are in car business or new vehicle sale business would be easier shift the vehicle to instead of direct to the consumer.

As long as car manufacturers make profit on the discounted sale to a premium buyer with the sale going through the risk is with ppl who make money on premium and are in car selling business.

As premium is all about a delivery time problem a lag in production and delivery of the new car therefore by having a car on the forecourt from a premium buyer, the dealer can cut the time and the manufacturers in pakistan can reduce the waiting period and get it rid of it totally and still retain the livelihood of people in that area of new cars without the hefty premium.

Also dealers can give a cash discount to people who buy cars which i am pointing to in premium buyer like in uk where a cash discount is given to new car buyers in car scrappage scheme.

The cbr of pakistan should at taxing the premium market properly to get money in to coffers.

Lowering taxation on new cars for ppl who buy a new car by getting rid of a car older than 5 years so that the buyer gets a discount tax wise.

Also removing road tax for first year of purchase of the new car, coaches trucks, taxis and lorries.

I base all of this on emails that i have made to the pakistan govt in 2006 and 2007 about cars in pakistan and getting more fuel efficient cars on the road to use less imported oil and increasing production of cars in pakistan and reducing price of new cars, waiting time for new cars and getting rid of premium.

A road worthiness and co2 emission test for all cars, taxis, coaches, lorries and trucks over a year old in pakistan and all money collected pushed into fixing roads and improving areas by cats eyes and solar panel street lighting would help ppl in pakistan create jobs and increase safety on the roads and improve life greatly in pakistan. The money can also be used for other things to ensure better environment for ppl.

This is all designed to increase production in pakistan, remove dangerous vehicles from the road, reduce pollution, increase jobs in car market, get rid of premium on new cars and increase road safety.

Banks should look at microfinancing of new taxis, lorries, trucks rickshaws and buses on road that are used to carry goods or ppl to and from places to replace old taxis, coaches, buses, rickshaws lorries and trucks such those under nawaz sharif’s time as pm in 1990s and 1960, 1970s and 1980s. It basically new business financing in pakistan and will not cost the pakistan govt forex as all cars, trucks lorries, rickshaws and buses have to be built in pakistan, the vehicle is used for business and uses the above scheme of car scrappage to qualify.

I also recommend wearing seats belts in cities and road all over pakistan as coming across the country as way to cut deaths on the road with a fine of 500 rupees if ppl dont wear one.

The money can be used to pay police and traffic officers salaries and raise their pay.

Walking is one of the best exercises you can do to get active. It is also good way to lose weight, shed inches and get a good workout. Walking will also help your health as well as your heart. Everyone can benefit from walking from time to time.

When you are buying walking shoes be sure that they are very comfortable on your feet. You don’t want to be walking and get cramps and blisters on your heels and feet. The length as well as how wide the shoe is going to matter too. You don’t want to have blisters after the first time walking in your new shoes; you won’t want to go walking anymore. So just take your time and buy the right type of walking shoe for you.

As you are looking for a new pair of walking shoes be sure that they are sold for walking and not something else. So if you are planning a walking/hiking trip you want a good shoe that’s suits both. The type of walking shoe you should have is one to be firm on your feet but should be able to bend easily as well. If you happen to be walking and it starts raining you need to get a shoe that will protect your feet from dampness causing blisters.

The only thing it takes to hurt your feet is a simple ankle turn to the left or right and you’re out of running for about a month. Waterproof shoes are good for anything. Walking or running it doesn’t matter which it is they are good for both and will protect you from the water or rain as well.

I wanted to talk to you about how you can repair your television stand. I know a lot of you are thinking that it is going to need an expensive finishing put on it. Quando tu acquisti un servizio, ti aspetti di poterne usufruire. E invece no! Ho acquistato un pass di 4 mesi Mediaset Premum + Fantasy per poter far vedere a mio figlio i canali con i cartoni animati. Peccato che, sempre più spesso, molti di questi canali restino “oscurati” con la scritta “Le trasmissioni riprenderanno alle ore xx.xx”.

Adesso va di moda far pagare le telefonate per avere assistenza, anche quando hai ragione tu e il problema è loro… Decido quindi di spendere qualche euro e telefonare al Call Center: 3 centesimi al minuto + 6 centesimi di scatto alla risposta. Proviamo:

1) prima telefonata cade la linea (ma scommetto che lo scatto alla risposta me l’hanno addebitato)

2) seconda telefonata, finalmente, dopo aver girovagato nel labirinto dei menù risco a parlare con una operatrice che mi spara il suo codice operatore a 6 cifre che io dovrei ricordarmi a memoria!!! La signorina, evidentemente ben istruita, prima mi richiede il numero della tessera (che ho già dovuto digitare due volte sulla tastiera del telefono) e appena le dico che ho un problema, mi vomita addosso una serie di informazioni sulla scadenza e sul rinnovo della tessera, su quando è stata attivata….. Tutte cose che non mi interessano, ma intanto il tempo passa…

Bene, alla fine le spiego il problema e lei candidamente mi dice che Mediaset “spegne” i canali perché sullo stesso MUX trasmettono le partite di calcio, quindi privilegiano quelle perché non hanno abbastanza banda per tutto.

Inutile litigare con la sfortunata operatrice del call center che in fondo fa il suo lavoro e che è lì per incassare gli insulti dei consumatori inferociti senza poter far passare nulla oltre, ma qualche insulto a Mediaset l’ho mandato.

Mediaset non ha banda? E a me che me ne frega? I problemi tecnici o filosofici non sono mie! Io ho pagato per un servizio e vorrei usufruire per il mio servizio. A prescindere dal fatto che per me il calcio è quello che tirerei volentieri nel culo di chi sta cercando di ubarmi i soldi (scusate il francesismo), se non mi puoi erogare il servizio perché ne devi erogare un altro, allora mi ridai indietro i soldi, mi chiedi scusa e tieni la testa bassa. E invece di trasmettere quello schifo del grande fratello dove cercano di far passare come miti un branco di persone senza arte né parte, selezionate solo nella speranza che si picchino o facciano sesso davanti alle telecamere, potrebbero trasmettere quei canali per la quale io (e molti altri) hanno pagato!
