I was finding the form of the body…looking at the thigh and paying attention to the lights and darks of arm and breast
I found the arch of the lower back and was prepared to layer more intensity. I also added shadows on the top of the cheeks for a more voluptuous rear.
Emphasizing the arched back and darks of the hidden thigh helped push the illusion of depth and mass. This piece was missing more information…
After making so much progress on the body I attached two pieces of textured brown paper to add hair.
The hair was active in process. I found myself moving my entire arm and putting my body into mark making. This was a mode of drawing that I really enjoyed.
