In “celebration” of the day, I’m publishing an academic paper on designKULTUR about privacy policy in the digital era:

“Big Blue, the Holocaust, and the EU Model: How Europe Led the Way on Privacy Protection Policy.”

ABSTRACT

The digital era has increased the pace with which governments have attempted to regulate the privacy of their “data subjects.”

The “EU Model,” with its civil rights approach to privacy, has emerged as the “gold standard” of privacy protection policy.

This paper examines the reasons why the European Union has been at the forefront of codifying privacy policy into legislation. Of interest are differing concepts of citizenship in the United States and the EU.

After a brief discussion on the meaning of privacy, the paper explores the social, political, and legal contexts in which privacy protection policy evolved in these two paradigms. Of particular note is the Nazi era as a defining moment in the history of Europe, and Europeans’ wish not to repeat the past.

Before and during the Second World War, International Business Machines played a pivotal role in maximizing Hitler’s war machine. IBM Hollerith machines enabled the Third Reich to attempt to create a society based on surveillance, classification, social selection, and sorting. Thus, the EU Model has, in its shadows, a link to a little known or forgotten piece of history with a nexus to the dawn of the Information Age.

I found researching this paper a breeze once I found the Nazi connection.

Then you might not know for what you are agreeing to……You inadvertently gave the authority to Facebook to publicize your private information.

Shocked ….doesn’t believe me…you must be thinking that ”Is privacy online just an illusion”.

The settings that were private by default will switch to publicly visible. Last December, the company who wants to protect your private information is now making it public, by not restricting access to the things you share with your friends. It seems they want to compete with socially open websites like twitter, the micro blogging service.

They grew up with the promise to offer user the privacy that only his approved friends can browse through the contents. Facebook changed the world by helping millions to post their feelings, thoughts, videos much more easily than ever before. It was a king of Social networking.

But the world is moving towards blogging culture and if they have to stay in the business then its time to say “Bye-Bye to privacy”.

Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg has said that more public information will lead to greater familiarity, understanding and empathy between people: that a change towards a public Facebook is good for world peace. If he were to create Facebook today, the privacy settings would have been from the start just what they are today. He said that notions of privacy are evolving and that the company changed its policies to reflect that.

But moving away from privacy doesn’t mean that you remove the option of keeping things in private. I personally feel that people will post more when they know that the material will be visible only to the nears and dears. Showcasing personal details in general public, how much this stance of Facebook is justified simply goes beyond my perception.

May be one has nothing to hide from the public but removing user control over what’s public removes the ability for millions of people to safely participate on Facebook.

Facebook should not update their system to reflect social norms, the user should be provided with complete control, user settings will unquestionably reflect the social norms

A. PENJELASAN TENTANG KIAMAT, PLANET X, RAMALAN NOSTRADAMUS, TERBARU.

Disini kami tuliskan lagi pendapat kami tentang hal2 yg berkenaan dg judul diatas, yg sebelumnya pernah kami tulis & muat di: http://blogscafe.wordpress.com & http://bobbymeidianto.wordpress.com & http://religiptek.wordpress.com, yg saat ini dalam keadaan hilang terhapus oleh ulah hacker2 sinting.

1. KIAMAT.

Benarkah Kiamat akan segera datang dan apalagi menurut ramalan terbaru 2009, akan segera datang 2012 nanti?.

Kalau anda tanyakan ke saya soal Kiamat akan datang apa enggak, saya jawab:    ” Ya!” Sekalipun Entah kapan itu, sebab dalam Al Qur’an sudah tertulis demikian.

Namun kalau anda tunjukkan ramalan tentang itu, yg banyak di ributkan orang baru2 ini, justru saya malah tidak percayai, bahwa hal itu akan segera terjadi.

Kiamat dalam Al Qur’an sudah di jelaskan, PASTI kan tiba, namun Allah melalui Rasulnya, Beliau Junjungan kita yg Muslim yaitu: Nabi Besar Muhammad S.A.W, tidaklah menunjukkan dengan tepat kapan itu, hanya di tunjukkan oleh Rasulullah dengan tanda dua jari, dan [ini benar atau tidak] beliau mengatakan ”amatlah dekat”.

Lalu juga tentang adanya kemungkinan Benturan dg Planet Nibiru, juga tentang kemungkinan bencana itu datang dari Planet Uranus / Saturnus yg memiliki cincin berupa batuan meteorid dalam jumlah besar, ataupun juga ramalan tentang adanya Badai Cosmic seperti yg baru2 saja tertulis di SUARA MERDEKA.

Kalau menurut saya, Kiamat yg di tulis dalam Al Qur’an, itu terbagi dua yaitu: Kiamat Kecil & Kiamat Qubra. Kiamat kecil itu jelasnya bagaimana, terus terang saya kurang paham, kalau kiamat qubra adalah MUSNAHNYA seluruh ALAM SEMESTA ini.

Hal itu menunjukkan bahwa semua MAKHLUK TUHAN pasti kan kembali Pada-Nya [Tak ada yg abadi]. Bukan Cuma manusia, hewan ataupun tumbuhan, tapi juga ALAM SEMESTA ini. Inilah bukti yg harus kita yakini tentang MAUT [kematian].

Dan kalau kita bicara soal kematian, maka silakan anda renungkan & lihat di sekeliling kita saban harinya. Bisakah anda atau kita itu menebak kapan kita ini akan mati?

Ada yg masih dalam rahim ibunya sudah Death, ada yg baru saja habis ikut wisuda, atau sedang jadi caleg, tahu2 death, entah sebab apa, ada yg sudah tua sekali [uzur] baru death dlsb.

Bisakah kita sadari dan pahami penyebabnya? Jutaan hal bisa kita perkirakan sebagai penyebab bisa membuat seseorang Mampus dan atau dunia ini hancur, bumi ini musnah dlsb. Seakan kita ini di lingkupi suatu kondisi yg amat sangat mengerikan yaitu: MAUT, yg bisa mencabut nyawa kita sewaktu-waktu.

Jadi kalau anda membahas soal Kiamat, itu kan memboroskan energi kita dan menyusahkan diri kita sendiri.

1. PLANET NIBIRU & PLANET X.

Dalam sebuah artikel yg pernah saya baca, Planet Nibiru barulah merupakan sebuah kemungkinan [mitos], sebab kenyataan yg aslinya adalah sebuah Peninggalan kuno [Artefak] dari  Bangsa Sumeria [Irak], yg berupa tulisan tentang DEWA / Kendaraan DEWA yg di sebut NIBIRU.

Tidak di sebutkan sebagai PLANET/bintang.

Lalu Planet X atau Planet ke 10 dan mungkin Planet2 berikutnya lagi yg di temukan dalam susunan Tata surya Bima Sakti atau yg lainnya baru2 saja ini. Menurut hemat saya, tidak bisa atau bukan Planet yg di sebut Nibiru itu.

Mengapa?  Dalam teori yg di kemukakan oleh Pengarang buku Ramalan nostradamus & ataupun soal kiamat yg baru2 ini lagi Ngetren, di sebutlan Planet Nibiru itu datang tiap 2600 tahun sekali & itu kurang lebih sekitar th. 2007 hingga 2008 kemarin itu, untuk kesempatan kali ini.

Benarkah? Menjawab soal ini, saya perkirakan kecepatan rotasi Planet itu mengelilingi matahari seharusnya, sedikitnya empat tahun sebelumnya planet itu sudah terlihat oleh NASA. Tapi mengapa sampai 2009* akhir ini belum terlihat? [*kemarin saya tulis 2008].

Lalu kalau di bilang bahwa planet itu yg masih dalam perkiraan ada & tidaknya, dikatakan memiliki masa yg lebih cair/renggang daripada air, terus terang aja, itu kurang lebih gas, itu berarti ada kemungkinan bisa habis dalam kurun waktu 2600 tahun ini, bila ia terbakar tiap kali melewati matahari sebab entah sudah berapa kali ia mengelilingi matahari.

Sedangkan planet ke 10 itu, sekalipun juga memiliki ciri2 hampir sama yaitu: memiliki gravitasi yg amat besar & juga kemungkinan besarnya sama, tapi waktu orbitnya mengelilingi matahari hanyalah 500 tahun saja & itu berarti entah sudah berapa kali kita / bumi ini tetap aman2 aja tak ada suatu yg istimewa terjadi.

Terus terang kalau di kisahkan bumi ini pernah di tabrak atau berbenturan dg planet Nibiru itu, saya sangkal sebab, kalau benar, maka bumi ini pastilah musnah sudah sekalipun hanya srempetan saja. Pernah lihat percobaan kertas dg sisir yg di gosok?  Kertas2 itu akan menempel pada sisir, sekalipun gravitasi bumi lebih besar, begitu juga bumi kita akan lepas dari orbitnya begitu dilewati planet semacam itu, sekalipun gravitasi matahari terhadap bumi juga besar.

Dan masih saya pertanyakan lagi juga, penulis tentang kiamat & Nibiru yg di tulis dlm berita2 itu selain saya ini bisa ceritakan secara gamblang tentang Kiamat & Nibiru itu dari mana? Misalnya bisa sebutkan masa / besarnya planet Nibiru, atau menyebutkan dengan jelas bahwa maksud artefak mengenai Kendaraan Dewa itu adalah sebuah Planet?

Rasanya koq lebih mirip orang ngigau & ngawur saja? Tanpa di sertai bukti ilmiah yg otentik, misalnya hasil Penelitian NASA.

1. RAMALAN NOSTRADAMUS.

Saya sendiri belum pernah baca komplitnya namun dari artikel sekilas di sebuah website, baru saya paham.

Buku tentang ramalan itu di tulis oleh seorang Barat. Tidak di jelaskan apakah ia itu muslim ataukah non muslim [agama lainnya].

Tapi yg jelas, saya membuat kesimpulan bahwa karyanya itu hanyalah untuk promosi aja agar bukunya laris & atau memang untuk memprovokasi mas mencari dukungan terhadap kelompok garis keras muslim [khususnya pendukung AL QAEDA].

Isi dari tulisannya banyak hal yg menurut saya janggal.

1. Pastikah bahwa itu memang ditulis oleh Nostradamus benar2 sebagai kumpulan ramalannya ataukah hanya mengenai sebuah opini dan pengalaman2 religi-nya?
2. Bahwa hal2 yg dijelaskan dalam penjelasan ramalan atau hal2 yg dibilang bahwa ramalannya tepat terbukti, adalah konyol, seperti disebutkan adanya ramalan bahwa PARIS akan tenggelam, juga sebuah negara meledakkan Nuklirnya di mediterania dlsb.  Yg saya baca di situ tidak satupun menjelaskan hal2 tsb. Semua hanyalah berupa kata2/kalimat yg saya sendiri juga tidak mengerti.
3. Kata2 ”Century ” biasanya berarti ”ABAD” kan? Why dlm buku itu yg tulis oleh Penulisnya diartikan sebagai ”MILLENIUM=100 abad?”
4. Memang di situ tertulis mungkin dalam tulisan asli karya Nostradamus sendiri memang merujuk pada hal2 yg tertulis dalam Kitab Injil [benar], seperti misalnya:  Akan datang 3 hari yg gelap gulita/terang benderang [dua tulisan mengenai ramalan ini di artikan berbeda/dua hal tsb, ada yg bilang terang benderang ada yg tulis gelap gulita].
5. Why dalam buku itu ada ajakan/provokasi untuk mendukung kelompok2 garis keras yg saat ini lagi terkenal [ditulis terselubung] memerangi USA?

Dari hal2 yg kami tulis diatas mengenai Ramalan Nostradamus kami punya kesimpulan bahwa hal itu kurang bisa di pegang maupun di yakini.

1. TAHUN BARU LEBIH LAMA 1 DETIK=ROTASI BUMI MELAMBAT?

Dua kali tahun baru kemarin dunia menyerukan, bunyikan terompet lebih lama karena tahun baru datang lebih lambat sedetik. Benarkah hal itu & mengapa terjadi? Benarkah menurut para ahli rotasi bumi lebih lambat/melambat?

Kalau menurut saya sih, sejak awal, yg salah bukan buminya, dalam arti sebenarnya bumi kita ya normal2 aja. Yang salah itu para ilmuwan yg bikin jam atom itu yg kliru dalam perhitungan mikronya [ 0,00000000001 misalnya] yg seringkali selisih Cuma 1 per entah berapa juta. Jadinya ya seperti sekarang ini.

Lalu kalau memang benar seperti yg para ahli itu bilang, yah saya jawab, ”mau apalagi kita ini? Itu kan Urusan Ilahi Robbi [Tuhan], yg mengatur dunia ini sejak awal. Kita ini bisa apa kalau sudah berhubungan dengan Alam? Hanya soal2 kecil saja yg bisa kita ini mengerti maupun atasi, selebihnya, sampai sekarang tak seorangpun mampu”.

Why kemungkinan seperti itu ada? Entah kalau soal melambat, soalnya kalau saya pikir sih masih kemungkinan kecil, tapi kalau perjalanan bumi mengelilingi matahari yg menjadi lebih lama/jauh, mungkin benar sebab menurut perhitungan saya, kemungkinan sama seperti bulan mengorbit bumi yg menurut para ahli, semakin lama semakin menjauhi bumi, maka ada kemungkinan orbit bumi & planet2 lainnya mengelilingi mataharipun juga begitu. Makin lama makin jauh.

Effectnya? Yah, sedikit ataupun banyak pasti ada effectnya bagi kita entah apa saja itu, dan seberapa besar mengerikannya.

1. BADAI KOSMIK AKAN SEBABKAN KEHANCURAN?

Banyak yg teriak2 kemarin bahwa Badai Kosmik [Solar Blast] akan datang 2012. Dan karena adanya tehnologi USA, maka bumi kita ini akan hancur.

Dalam logika kita memang mungkin ada benarnya, bahwa dengan adanya badai kosmik entah kapan, kemungkinan peralatan listrik / yg menggunakan Listrik & Nuklir akan mengalami kerusakan & meledak. Termasuk Satelit2 di luar angkasa di Orbit Bumi.

Mengerikan sekali kan?

Namun yg bikin saya geli, tentang adanya tulisan itu, adalah:

Artikel tentang Badai Kosmik itu di muat di SUARA MERDEKA, sehari setelah saya Bobby Meidianto ini, ngobrol dg seorang [entah wartawan atau bukan] tentang seorang Penjual koran bongkok yg saya bilang sarap di wilayah Mangkuyudan, Tegalsari, Al Muayyad, Batikan & Kelurahan Bumi SOLO, yg selalu sok aksi sekali beberapa kali bentak2 saya, belagak jadi orang yg tahu agama, nyuruh saya sodaqoh & juga soal listrik oglangan [pemadaman listrik se-Jawa & Bali] agar saya takut. Dia juga begitu pas ada artikel tentang Nibiru di Muat di SUARA MERDEKA. Yaitu: intinya agar saya itu takut & menuruti dia untuk mengatur alam ini.

Bukan main sintingnya orang itu.

Dalam obrolan itu saya jelaskan bahwa saya masih belum mengerti, apa maksud pemadaman itu & apakah itu yg Se-Jawa Bali ataukah benar2 sedunia? Karena orang bongkok sarap itu bilang Sak Donya [sedunia].

Kalau sedunia benar2 bukan tidak mungkin adalah badai kosmik, begitu yg saya bilang. Lah koq, besoknya muncul artikel yg memuat berita ttg badai kosmik itu, bahkan di jelaskan bahwa akan terjadi th.2012.

Darimana orang sinting itu bisa ambil kesimpulan begitu? Saya masih belum paham apakah penulisnya orang yg ngobrol ama saya itu, apakah si bongkok itu.

Yg saya tahu:

Soal Kiamat, menurut saya, penulisnya adalah seorang muslim garis keras. Saya jadi ingat selebaran ttg Kiamat yg memakai tanda tangan seorang Syeh Penjaga Makam Rasulullah di tahun 1981, saat saya masih SMP. Dan mengenai hal ini kalaupun itu bisa dikatakan sebagai Opini/Renungannya, koq aneh, penyebab Kiamat yg ia tulis di situ ber-ubah2 ?  Dan lagi, memangnya kalau benar Kiamat itu datang nantinya maka ALLAH akan puji dirinya & Presiden George W. Bush pun di akherat berikan Hadiah Nobel, sebab ramalannya tentang Kiamat itu & Penyebabnya itu Benar?

Soal Planet Nibiru, semua seperti yg sudah saya tulis diatas, dan masih ada satu lagi, yaitu: bahwa hal itu tidak didukung oleh data otentik sebuah Riset Ilmiah & juga banyak pengartian kata [penerjemahan] dari artikel aslinya yg dikeluarkan NASA dlm bahasa Inggris, keliru dalam penerjemahannya, jadinya malah memiliki arti berbeda, seperti misalnya dalam artikel aslinya: ” Mengapa sampai sekarang benda luar angkasa itu belum terlihat? Dan Mustahilah NASA dg peralatan canggihnya belum menemukan benda itu saat ini bila memperhitungkan lama waktu orbit benda itu terhadap matahari”, dalam artikel orang sarap itu yg kemungkinan orang Indonesia, di tulis:

”Bahwa Planet itu sudah Terlihat”, & ”NASA sudah menemukannya” juga adalagi yaitu: ” Bahwa Planet itu memiliki Garis Orbit  yg akan mengcrash Bumi” sedangkan tulisan aslinya adalah” Kecil kemungkinan Bahwa benda itu [planet 10] akan mengorbit bersimpangan dg planet Bumi.

Udah ya ini aja yg aku tulis.

Inilah yg ingin di kerjakan oleh Letkol Bobby, untuk program Penghijauan sekaligus isi dari Makalah “Safe the earth” karyanya yg telah terkirim ke banyak Pihak sejak tahun 2004 s.d 2009. Sebagian telah kami laksanakan, bersama teman2 Kopral Indonesia Khususnya di berbagai Pemkot.

TOL HIJAU.

Diatas adalah rancangan masa depan proyek jalan tol yg hijau dan teduh.  Pohon2 diatas mengurangi panas langsung ke tanah yg berfungsi mendinginkan dan meneduhkan udara di bawahnya. Juga menutupi kekurangan oksigen.

FILTER UDARA SEDERHANA.

Tak perlu banyak cingcong & rapat untuk melawan POLUSI & Global Warming. YANG PENTING TUNJUKKAN USAHA NYATA!

Tak Perlu pakai technologie secanggih Computer Induk WHITNEY, Stasiun Ruang Angkasa Soyuz, ataupun alat secanggih MESIN LHC milik CERN.

HANYA bermodal dasar barang bekas dan ARENG [KARBON AKTIF] saja sudah bisa terwujud.

MAU NGEYEL? MASIH MAU DEBAT?  TANYA SAJA NASA & AMWAY  bagi yg pernah beli PRODUKnya.  FILTER AIR buatan NASA & AMWAY Cuma ARENG AJA KAN ISINYA?   DAN itu mereka tahu bisa menetralkan 160 lebih bahan berbahaya [beracun] dan di udara bisa menetralkan  lebih dari 500 jenis bahan kimia.

Memang dg cara sederhana ini hanya bisa mengurangi kurang lebih 60%-75% Emisi penyebab polusi Udara namun hal itu hanya bisa kalau kita mau buat & operasikan alat ini.

1.     Collecting personal information, particularly sensitive, personally identifiable information, from your website users, without disclosing your data collection and disclosure practices.  Essentially, you can collect the information you want and do with it what you want, as long as you disclose your practices to your website users (this, of course, is subject to some caveats and limitations).  The resolution is simple: have a policy drafted and posted to your website which clearly and conspicuously discloses your data collection and disclosure practices.

2.     Developing and using a trademark without checking to make sure no one else is using it first.  This mistake is not limited to the Internet and it, sadly, is made all too often by businesses large and small.  Before you invest a lot of time and money into a new trademark, run a search on the Patent and Trademark Office’s website and elsewhere to make sure that no one else is using the same or similar trademark in connection with the same or similar goods or services.  If you are unsure how to conduct a trademark clearance search, speak with an IP attorney who can help you.

3.     Not developing a CAN-SPAM policy.  If you send marketing emails, then you need to have a CAN-SPAM policy in place.  This policy will help ensure that you are compliant with the federal CAN-SPAM Act (Controlling the Assault of Non-Solicited Pornography and Marketing Act) by dictating who you can send commercial emails to, who you can send transactional emails to, what information you need to include in your emails, and when you must provide your email recipients the opportunity to opt-out of receiving emails from you, among others.  Violation of the  Act can result in massive fines and even more annoying, not having a proper system in place can result in your marketing emails being tagged as spam and blocked by internet service providers.

4.    “Borrowing” another website’s terms and conditions.  I’ve heard it all too often – “Don’t worry about the website terms and conditions, I’ll just copy the terms of another website”.  First, this could be considered copyright infringement.  But secondly, and more importantly, this is simply unwise.  Every website and its business terms are different.  Would you simply copy your neighbor’s home insurance policy, because you live next door to each other?  No – you have different size homes, have different coverages and different deductibles.  The same with your website: it may be governed by different laws, your business may have different transaction policies in place, and you may have different restrictions.  Most importantly: you don’t know who drafted that other website’s terms and conditions.  What if the business’s IT guy posted them and they had no legal review whatsoever.  Do you really want to take that risk?

5.   Running a contest or sweepstakes on your site.  A popular way to drive website traffic and create buzz has become to host contests or sweepstakes.  As tempting as it may be to give away $500 every week to a random customer or to award the user $1000 who has the best original t-shirt design, you must be careful.  Contests and sweepstakes are governed by state laws.  And yes, that means, ALL FIFTY STATES.  If you are hosting your sweepstakes or contest on the Internet, you must assume that your contest or sweepstakes entrants are from any or all of the fifty states.  Therefore, it’s important to understand some basic concepts which hold true in almost all states.  Further, you must be sure that your contest or sweepstakes does not, in actuality, constitute an illegal lottery.  This is where it becomes important to speak with an attorney.  The only entities allowed to host lotteries are states themselves (think MegaMillions) (there are some other exceptions).  If you host a contest or sweepstakes, you must have official rules which govern the sweepstakes or contest, which rules must disclose all of its terms.  There may be other obligations as well, such as filing a copy of the rules with particular states.  Therefore, it’s imperative that you refrain from hosting a contest or sweepstakes on your website before speaking with an attorney.

6.    You accept credit card payments on your website and are not PCI compliant.  The area of law that has garnered the most attention in the press recently is the area of data security and privacy.  Every day consumers purchase goods and services online, paying with their credit cards, and uploading bank information.  If this information lands in the wrong hands, is stolen from a disgruntled employee, or is snatched by a hacker, it could cause serious problems for the user and for you, as the business.  There have been a number of such incidents reported in the press, such as TJMaxx, Network Solutions, Cornell University, and others.  In response to this, a number of states have created their own data security laws.  Although there currently isn’t a blanket federal law governing data security, the FTC has made various recommendations (banks have data security regulations in place under the Gramm Leach Bliley Act).  To help protect the financial sensitive data of your customers, your website should be PCI data security compliant, which is a worldwide information security standard assembled by the Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council (PCI SSC).  These standards were created to help those businesses and organizations which process credit card payments prevent fraud through increased controls around data.  There are steps you can take to avoid having to become PCI data security compliant (e.g., stop taking credit card payments yourself and use a third party service such as Paypal®), but if those are not an option, an attorney can help you make sure that you implement a compliant policy.

7.   You use testimonials or endorsements which are false or fake.   An endorsement or testimonial is an advertising message that consumers would likely believe reflects the opinion or experience of a party other than the sponsoring advertiser.  The FTC makes it clear that an endorsement cannot be deceptive and must reflect the honest opinion, belief and experience of the endorser.  In other words – you cannot create a false or deceptive endorsement.  Further, the FTC has now released new blogging rules related to testimonial and advertiser advertising by bloggers on your behalf (see my recent blog entry regarding these new rules).

8.     You make claims on your website which cannot be substantiated.  This is simple: every time you make a claim on your website (e.g., “My vitamins will increase your energy by 80%!”), you must have evidence to back it up.  In other words, you must be able to substantiate all your claims.  Have you seen the “4 out of 5 dentists prefer” or “9 out of 10 doctors recommend” commercials on television?  That is just another example of a claim that must be substantiated.  When the advertising agency or company is submitting that commercial to the major networks to be aired on television, they have to submit evidence supporting that claim along with the commercial.  You probably won’t be submitting any commercials for approval to NBC anytime soon – but you never know!  Regardless, the concept is the same.  You must be able to provide proof of whatever you claim.  You should pretend at all times, that the FTC has your website on its favorites list, and every week it will come to you to seek evidence backing up all the claims you make.  If you can’t prove it, don’t use it.

9.    Your website disclosures, if any, are inappropriately placed. If you’ve decided to use a disclosure in order to clarify a term regarding a claim or your product or service, it’s important that the disclosure be appropriately featured.  Factors such as its proximity to the claim it is qualifying, the length of time it is displayed, whether it needs to be repeated on other pages, whether it is clearly stated and written in plain English, whether it is being used prior to purchase, and the media type of the disclosure and whether it is appropriate are just some of the factors you must consider to ensure that the disclosure is effective.

10.   Failing to have website users expressly agree to contract terms.  Whether it be website terms and conditions or software license terms, if the contract is not legally binding, it is not enforceable.  It is vital that businesses make sure that the method they use to ensure that customers and clients read and agree to contracts is valid and enforceable.

I. LAHIRNYA SANG BIMASENA [WERKUDARA, BRATASENA].

02 MEI 1968 Solo, Lahirlah seorang bayi laki2 dari pasutri Zulachir-Sri Rahayu ke dunia ini. Bayi itu mereka beri nama:

BOBBY MEIDIANTO.

Malam sebelumnya, Sri Rahayu bermimpi, sedang berada di sebuah hutan & bertemu dengan Raden Bima Sena yang sedang menjebol pohon2 babat alas. Lalu Raden Bima Sena yg melihatnya kemudian menjunjung Beliau Bagai Ibunya [Dewi Kunti]. Paginya Bak Raden Bima Sena, Bobby Meidianto, terlahir dalam keadaan “bungkus” [masih terbungkus ari2 & kantong ketuban].

Anak itu, Bobby Meidianto, tumbuh sebagai anak yg agak Istimewa, baik sifat, perilakunya maupun perjalanan hidupnya. Namun melalui pendidikan normal mulai sejak Taman Kanak-kanak hingga lulus SMA/SMK.

II. TERPILIH JADI SENAPATI.

1986 Pertengahan tahun, secara tidak sengaja, Bobby Meidianto ikuti sebuah kegiatan dari sekolah yaitu: Memimpin kawan2nya sebagai wakil Pramuka dari SMPS Neg. SOLO, mengikuti Pemindahan Makam Ibundanya Bu Tien Soeharto, di Dalem Kalitan Solo.  Saat itu Makam Ibunda Bu Tien Soeharto di pindahkan dari Jakarta Ke Astana Giri Bangun Matesih Karanganyar Solo.

Suatu keberuntungan yg tidak bisa di tirukan oleh orang lain. Kegiatan tersebut, justru memberi kejutan baik kepada Bobby Meidianto.

Selain bertemu dg Presiden Soeharto & Ibu Tien Soeharto, Bobby Meidianto juga mendapat anugerah khusus, yaitu: DI-REKRUIT Oleh Jendral L.B. Moerdhani menjadi anggota Detasemen Khusus yg sedang di bentuk Beliau saat itu.

Namun begitu Bobby Meidianto Masih melanjutkan  sekolah di SMPS Neg. Solo hingga lulus.

III. SEBUAH PERJALANAN I.

Tak ada sebuah jalanpun, yg lurus lagi halus sekalipun,  tanpa halangan & rintangan dalam kehidupan ini. Proses Pendidikannya dlm Militer pun juga hamper tersendat & terganjal. Bukan hanya maslah keluarga, namun juga oleh sebab Bobby Meidianto buru2 menikah. Dan alami  pernikahan yg semrawut & hampir berantakan seketika.

Namun ia juga bekerja seperti halnya orang biasa, menjadi sales sebuah Penerbitan milik Kakak kelasnya yaitu: Penerbitan & toko Buku Tiga Serangkai Solo.

Dan kebetulan malah di tugaskan pula oleh Penerbitan tsb ke Mataram Lobar, NTB.

IV. MULAI BERKARYA.

1993, Setelah mengikuti Pendidikan Militer beberapa Tahun, dan sudah mulai bertugas di tahun 1990, Bobby Meidianto jalani tugas2 lain pula yaitu: Menjadi pengawas Proyek Jalan Tolnya Mbak Tutut, Menjadi anggota Badan Anti Korupsi Rahasia Independent, Dan tugas di Irian Jaya serta Aceh. Semua tugas itu di kerjakan tidak lebih lama dari Setengah tahun tiap kali namun semua kegiatannya berkelanjutan bahkan hingga kini.

Menurut penilaian atasan, ia termasuk jenius hingga pemberian kepangkatan kepadanya melaju amat cepat.

V. SEBUAH PERJALANAN II.

Tahun 1995, Detasemen Khusus Harimau Indonesia di bubarkan. Dan entah atas keinginan Pribadi atau memang ada pertimbangan Lain dari atasan, Bobby Meidianto, berhenti / pensiun dengan anugerah Kepangkatan: LETKOL.INF.PURN.

Saat itu, permasalahan yg mendera kehidupan rumah tangganya, membuatnya terpaksa menjadi gelandangan & terlunta-lunta, hingga ia terpaksa pergi lagi ke NTB. Hingga ia di situ bertemu dengan Tuan Guru Najmuddin yang mengangkatnya sebagai Cucu, dan menjadikannya sebagai USTADZ  Pengiring dengan nama Hasan Madinah.

VI. KEMBALINYA SANG SATRIYA.

Lalu 1999, tanpa ia ketahui pasti, Jendral LB. Moerdhani mengaktifkan dirinya lagi & memberi tugas khusus ke Timor-Timur. Sebuah tugas Maut, yang harus ia kerjakan.  Ia benar2 seperti satria  pewayangan yg di godog  di Kawah Candradimuka. Dan tahu2 muncul sebagai HERO.

VII. OPERATION NINJA 6.

Sekembalinya di SOLO, Letkol Bobby Meidianto kembali aktif, sekalipun banyak masalah menerpanya. Bahkan Menghadapi banyak Kesulitan berat dan usaha Pembunuhan atas dirinya, selain Teror & Pelecehan Sebagian besar Masyarakat khususnya yg PRO MEGAWATI SOEKARNO, yg memperlakukannya bagai seekor ANJING & Orang gila, tanpa Letkol Bobby BERSALAH.

Diantara tugas yg ia jalani antara tahun 2000-2006 adalah sebuah Mission Imposible Operation Ninja 6: “KEMBALIKAN DAMAIKU”.

Adalah Misi Khusus Penumpasan Terorisme yg merebak di Indonesia. Pertama kali yg ia temukan & obrak-abrik adalah: Abdul Aziz Imam Samodra & Amrozi.

Operation Ninja 6 ini, tidak berhenti di tahun itu saja namun bahkan hingga kini [catatan 2009].

VIII. SEBUAH EXPERIMENT.

2004, sehabis Pelantikan SBY, mendadak Letkol Bobby di kejutkan sebuah telex, yg memberitahukan adanya Penyanderaan 4 orang TKW Indonesia, di Irak. Merasa waktu tak banyak, Letkol Bobby, lakukan  Operasi Inteligent Jarak Jauh dg menggunakan Internet, termasuk upaya negosiasi  dg para penyandera.  Operasi Khusus berjalan sukses. SBY dll yg mendapat pemberitahuan tak mengacuhkan.

IX. OPERATION NINJA 7.

2005, 17-18 Februari, kali ini Letkol Bobby Meidianto terkejut sendiri akibat baca Koran.  Seorang Reporter Metro TV Indonesia, “HILANG” di Irak [saat itu belum di ketahui apakah di sandera ataukah bagaimana].

Sekalipun bimbang akhirnya Letkol Bobby Memutuskan turun tangan tanpa perintah Atasan. Cara yg sama seperti di tahun sebelumnya thdp 4 TKW kembali ia lancarkan. Namun seperti perkiraannya kali ini lebih berat, sebab kali ini yg ia hadapi kelompok MILITAN MUJAHIDIN yg lebih ngawur & tanpa arah.

Namun sekali lagi, OPERATION NINJA 7 “SELAMATKAN MEUTYA HAFID” berjalan SUKSES.

X. KEKECEWAAN MENDERA.

Tapi seperti yg saudara2 dapat baca di sini maupun di semua weblog milik kami & kawan2 kami.  Letkol. Bobby tidak mendapatkan apapun selain capek. Presiden & beberapa menteri termasuk Kapolri  yg selalu rutin menerima pemberitahuan setidaknya via e-mail, tentang semua kegiatan Letkol Bobby dalam urusan tugas2nya [operasi khusus yg dijalankannya], sedikitpun tidak meliriknya. Dan ternyata bukan Cuma tidak mau meliriknya tapi berbuat LANCUNG yaitu: Mengklaim/Memalsu Nama Jaguar [Bobby Meidianto/I-ie], dan juga mengklaim saran2 serta hasil2 pemikiran Letkol Bobby Meidianto sbagai diri Mereka sendiri, dan juga Menjauhkan Meutya Hafid dari Bobby Meidianto, memfitnah Bobby Meidianto, Menteror & Mencona membunuh  Bobby Meidianto melalui orang2nya, serta MENZINAI pula Meutya Hafid.

XI. KANTATA NESTAPA, KANTATA ASMARA.

Urusan Cinta Letkol Bobby Meidianto dg Meutya Hafid KACAU bukan sebab Letkol Bobby sudah Beristri, namun sebab Ulah Para Pejabat & orang2 dekat Meutya Hafid.

Sayang sekali sudah di beritahu berulangkali bahakan sampai 2 tahun lebih, Meutya Hafid tetap juga tidak mau tahu padahal ia juga kami kenal sebagai seorang Blogger. Yang sudah jelas & pasti ia pun sering baca berita2 di Internet. Termasuk tulisan2 kami tentang dirinya dengan Letkol Bobby Meidianto.

Tapi, akhirnya kamipun terpaksa yakin & percaya bahwa: MEUTYA HAFID hanyalah Seorang PELACUR HINA yg TAK PANTAS Bersanding Dengan Letkol Bobby Meidianto, yg punya nama HASAN MADINAH & yg punya Nama: RM. PANJI SOERYONAGORO yg juga keturunan Raja MANGKUNEGARAN SOLO: PANGERAN SAMBERNYAWA.

XII. JURUS DERITA TIADA AKHIR.

Januari 2008 Letkol Bobby menikahi SIRI Meutya Hafid, tapi lalu Meuya Hafid tinggalkan sehari sesudah pernikahan itu, bahkan Letkol Bobby Diusir oleh Keluarga Meutya Hafid.

Oktober 2008 Letkol Bobby di beritakan telah menteror Meutya Hafid selama 2 tahun di Harian Suara Merdeka.

Beberapa Minggu kemudian Ayah Letkol Bobby Meidianto Meninggal dunia karena kaget oleh berita tsb & terror yg ia alami.

Puncak kegalauan Hati Letkol Bobby Meidianto, Januari 2009, Meutya Hafid di beritakan telah Menikah dengan Avian Tumengkol & Letkol Bobby gencar disantetin Lawan2nya.

Hal itu membuat Kopral Indonesia & Letkol Bobby hampir2 membuat DKI Jakarta & sekitarnya, Hancur Jadi debu dengan MELEDAKKAN NUKLIR DI SERPONG dg serangan Gaib Letkol Bobby yang menggunakan Jurus “DERITA TIADA AKHIR”.

XIII. PERSIAPAN BARATAYUDHA JOYOBINANGUN.

Banyak masalah setelah hal tsb, namun masih juga belum mereka tanggapi karena mereka anggap kecil, padahal benar2 terjadi & telah Makan korban jiwa ratusan orang antara lain:

Bentrokan di NTB, Gempa Tasikmalaya, Gempa Padang & Sumbar, Gempa/Longsor di Palopo, Banjir Denpasar, Jebolnya Bendungan Situgintung.

Yang semua itu akibat adu kesaktiannya Letkol Bobby Vs SBY, Wiranto, Surya Paloh, Prananda Paloh, Avian Tumengkol dll. Khususnya soal Meutya Hafid.

Hal itu membuat Marah kelompok Lain diantaranya juga KLAMPIS IRENG yg berpihak pada Letkol Bobby akhirnya, yang kemudian membuat aksi tersendiri, yaitu:

Menghipnotis & memperkosa ANNISAH POHAN menantu SBY, ROSITA BARRACK istri Surya Paloh, & PUAN MAHARANI SOEKARNO dan Beberapa lagi lainnya. [Mei 2009].

Juga membuat rekaman saat kejadian perkosaan itu & kini kami sedang bersiap-siap menyebarluaskan rekaman tsb.

When I logged into AOL today — yes, I have an AOL account, have since the dawn of the Internet, and dang it, probably always will — one of the homepage headlines read:

How Facebook Is Tricking Its Users

It’s a good headline.  It applies to a large and ever-growing audience, and smacks of scandal and intrigue.  I immediately clicked on the link.

Turns out it was referring to the recent changes in Facebook’s privacy policy.  The mega social network’s default privacy settings for a member’s personal information went from ‘friends only’ to ‘everyone,’ and no less than 10 privacy organizations have filed complaints with the Federal Trade Commission.

Oh, the humanity.

I suppose I shouldn’t make light of the situation.  But I am.  Facebook announced the change to members in a pop-up window on their homepages.  That window included instructions outlining, step-by-by, how to change your personal privacy settings from the new default to whatever you wanted them to be.

It was pretty darn straightforward, I thought.

Let’s remember how much we pay for Facebook, everyone — not a frickin’ cent.  Nada.  Nothing.  We are occasionally annoyed by an ad or two in the right-hand column, but they are easily ignored.  Heck, ads in television shows are much more in your face, and they certainly don’t stop us from watching “Modern Family” or “GLEE.”

So, instead of crying to the FTC or to each other about this change, why not just accept the new privacy defaults as rules of the house?  Rules we have been given free rein to change…in  the house that we live in for free...that we can move out of at any time that we like.

There’s that word again — free.

When you think about it, Facebook is hardly the big bad boogie man.  He may just be the landlord of your dreams.

Much has been written in the past several days about the changes in Facebook’s privacy policy that have been made over the last few weeks. Most of us who follow these things feel that Facebook is again reacting to the continuing explosive growth of Twitter. A recent agreement with Google to allow Facebook posts to appear in Google’s new real-time search also contributes to Facebook’s attempt to make your Facebook information available to the world.

Currently, much of the personal information of Facebookers that was previously only available to their “friends” is now in the public domain. Facebook urges its users to make more of their information available. This benefits Facebook’s software developers as well as anyone else trolling for information. For example, Facebook’s default setting now makes any photos that you post on your page available to the world. Prior to the changes, these could only be seen by your Facebook “Friends.” The same is true for your Facebook “Friends” list. Now that Facebook is cooperating with Google, your photos and “friends” list could show up in Google searches.

Note: Facebook has modified this feature but you must take direct action by going into your Facebook Account Settings and checking whether you want this information available to only your “friends,” “friends of friends,” or the whole world.

Perhaps Facebook’s senior managers felt that, once again, they could make drastic changes to their policy, and, after the obligatory dust-up, things would return to normal. Not this time.

Ten groups have filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) stating that the recent changes in Facebook’s Privacy Policy “violate user expectations, diminish user privacy and contradict Facebook’s own representations.” The Electronic Privacy Information Center (EPIC) as well as the American Library Association, Center for Digital Democracy, Consumer Federation for Privacy Rights, Privacy Activism, Privacy Rights Now Coalition, Privacy Rights Clearinghouse and the U.S. Bill of Rights Foundation. The complaint is posted on EPIC’s site.

Concern has also been raised about how this information could be used in totalitarian countries. Nick O’Neill discusses this on the All Facebook Blog.

Facebook has responded by saying “We’ve had productive discussions with dozens of organizations around the world about the recent changes, and we’re disappointed that EPIC has chosen to share their concerns with the FTC while refusing to talk to us about them.” Facebook spokesperson Barry Schnitt said that Facebook has had ongoing discussion with the FTC regarding the privacy changes.

My privacy policy is real simple & straight to the point.

2-Research their term of service (TOS) from the landing page on the site of  interest regardless of the product or service offered.
3-Like I mentioned, It your time & Your Money.

While the company frames all of this as putting users in “control” of their own data, it strikes me that this is more about empowering the company than the users. Users are given more opportunity to share more information with more people, creating more of the data that Facebook profits from.

Whether you care if Facebook profits from all of this or not, it is important to identify the rhetorical strategy: to accumulate more data that Facebook ultimately controls and owns by telling its users that they are increasingly in control.

As CEO Mark Zuckerberg states that you have more control of your data, he is simultaneously allowing you to share more by changing the defaults that users rarely deviate from. Now more information such as as your name, profile picture, gender, networks, friend list, and any pages you are a fan of are publicly available to anyone on the Internet rather than just with your friends. See: Facebook’s Privacy Upgrade Recommends I Be Less Private. Further, Zuckerberg is not mentioning that he still owns this data and is poised to profit from it.

Unlike other posts on this topic, this is not an argument that Facebook dupes us into sharing too much. The mass exhibitionism and voyeurism in our current moment runs much too deep -often contrary to capitalist goals. Instead, one should simply read Facebook’s insidious message of “empowerment” with a skeptical eye.

Finally, we can describe this strategy as an outcome of the new more weightless prosumer capitalism. Prosumer because we simultaneously consume and produce nearly all of the content on Facebook. Weightless (as I’ve previously argued for, using Bauman’s terms) because we-the-laborers are unpaid and are given the product for free. Thus, capitalism is hardly distinguishable as such, increasingly hidden by the rhetoric of user-empowerment. Facebook is letting our mass exhibitionism spread, lubricating social interactions as well as they can, and cashing in on the data we supposedly “control”. ~nathan

• Presiden H. SBY: Adalah termasuk keluarga besar Aroeng Binang I , sama seperti Letkol Bobby Meidianto. Kenal di tahun 2000, di Makam Aroeng Binang  di Kebumen. Saat itu memberikan kartu nama palsu dg tulisan Departemen Pertanahan. Namun nomor telepon {Hape} asli. Letkol Bobby sudah berulangkali memberikan info melalui e-mail addressnya langsung juga sms ke Nomor Hapenya. Persaudaraan & kekerabatannya di putus th. 2008 lalu setelah Letkol Bobby kecewa soal Meutya Hafid. Diketahui menyerang Letkol Bobby berulangkali dg ilmu gaib, & juga tidur menginap di rumah Meutya Hafid adi bulan Januari 2008 lalu itu saat Letkol Bobby di usir dari Rumah Meutya Hafid. Termasuk orang yg tercantum dlm foto ADEGAN SEX MEUTYA HAFID. Letkol Bobby Memutus Hubungan kekerabatan After Februari 2008.
• Hj. Any Yudhoyono: Ini adalah profile seorang wanita Lonte, begitu banyak juga info mengenai ia jadi perempuan murahan demi karir suaminya.  Di tengarai ialah yg juga mengetahui & menerima sebagian faxs & e-mail dari Kopral Indonesia & Letkol. Bobby Meidianto.
• Aulia Pohan : Tahu2 begitu mengetahui Letkol Bobby Mau melamar Meutya Hafid, lantas memberikan ancaman agar Letkol Bobby mundur dg tuduhan akan membuat MAKAR. Apa urusannya ?
• Surya Paloh: Ia juga demikian di bulan Januari 2008 itu, malah mengatakan akan mengkaryakan Meutya Hafid untuk hal2 negatif demi karir politiknya & malah Januari 2009 mentertawakan Letkol Bobby setelah Letkol Bobby batal meledakkan Nuklir Serpong, padahal ia belum tahu saat itu bukan Nuklir Serpong yg di ledakkan namun Depo Pertamina di Jakpus & Bekasi. Ia gunakan juga paranormal untuk melakukan kontak batin kpd Letkol Bobby.  Tahun 1996 termasuk dlm arsip BIN sebagai orang yg seharusnya DIBUNUH oleh DEN HARIN sehubungan dg GPK ACEH.  Dan di ketahui memiliki hubungan Selingkuh dg beberapa istri Pejabat DPR MPR RI & Kementrian th. 1994-1998 & 2000-2006.

Wiranto : Sama sepeti SBY soal hubungan kekerabatan dg Letkol Bobby, dan sebenarnya Letkol Boby bermaksud mengundangnya pula ke Pernikahan  Letkol Bobby  dg Meutya Hafid, namun koq rupanya akan ia “makan sendiri” Meutya Hafid yg lalu sudah menikah Siri dg Letkol Bobby dengan alasan untuk Putranya.
• Hj. Uga Wiranto: Wanita lonte yg sudah terkenal di kalangan TNI sebagai lonte yg suka menyodorkan dirinya kpd atasan2 Wiranto demi karir suaminya. Ia inginkan Letkol Bobby mundur & batal jadi suami Meutya Hafid & akan ia calonkan Meuya Hafid dg Putranya, namun ga tahu kalau Suaminya Lonte laki yg sarap juga doyan makan pagar ayu & mau juga makan istri saudaranya.
• H.Agus Harimurti: Belagak sakti pakai ilmu kontak batin pas lagi jimak dg Annisah Pohan, mengambil Sukma Letkol Bobby. ROESDIHARJO, Jendral Da’I Bachtiar, & JENDRAL SUTANTO:  Ketiga Mantan Kapolri ini sudah berulangkali dapat surat2nya letkol Bobby melalui e-mail & faxs : kapolri@polri.go.id, & e-mail KBRI Malaysia, sejak tahun 2000, namun koq malah menyembunyikan fakta tentang letkol Bobby. Apalagi Jendral Soetanto yang juga masuk dalam foto2 yang beradegan sex dg Meutya Hafid. Kecurangannya pun juga diketahui sejak bulan Mei 2008 lalu itu mengenai Meutya Hafid , bahwa ia menghubungi Meutya Hafid di bulan Januari itu namun tidak menghubungi Letkol Bobby Meidianto.
• Guruh & Guntur Soekarno: Dulu antara tahun 1996-2000 kira2, Saat itu Panji putranya Letkol Bobby Masih Sekolah di SD 15 Mangkubumen Solo. Saat itu oleh permohonan Letkol Bobby kepada Yayasan GNOTA, Panji & kawan2nya yang kurang mampu dpt bantuan social. Tak dinyana istri Guruh Soekarno lalu ikutan membantu, namun tanpa di ketahui Letkol Boby. Buruknya Letkol Bobby di buruk2in banyak orang tanpa tahu sebabnya. Setelah diselidiki ternyata hal tsb diatas. Akhirnya Bu Guruh tsb yang kediamannya dekat Resto Diamond Solo di datangi Letkol Bobby yang ingin tahu koq ia di perlakukan begitu. Namun tanpa dinyana, malah yang menemui Letkol Bobby yang datang sebagai Sopir Becak dg membawa becaknya, saat itu adalah Kanjeng Sri Sultan HB X, hingga Letkol Bobby batal marah2, dan juga Letkol Bobby di beri uang oleh Kanjeng Sri Sultan HB X uang sebesar Rp. 20.000,-. Saat itu dianggap Letkol Bobby sduah selesai, namun ibunya Panji sampai sekarang selalu memusuhi dirinya dan hal ini diyakini punya hubungan erat selain oleh ulah keluarga OZY HASAN  [bila ia itu OZY HASAN TUMENGKOL] yang juga punya anak kawan sekolahnya Panji Ardhanarespati, putranya Letkol Bobby itu.

This week I have been looking at different methods of content and discourse analysis. Although a very simplified form Wordle’s provide a way of visualising the content of a piece of text.

I thought it would be topical (considering this week’s changes in Facebook) to produce this Wordle using Facebook’s current privacy policy. Interesting to note the hierarchy of the words… with privacy not featuring as often as the word information.
