The Queen has landed!

Britney, who has just completed her most successful tour ever, has landed in Los Angeles’ LAX airport. The pop sensation was wearing blue jeans, black boots and a trendy British flag head pillow. Britney was escorted by her bodygaurds through the building as hundreds of paparazzi swarmed her. Thankfully, she had police protection.

Fans of Twitter hijacked a shopping expedition by pop star Britney Spears in Melbourne yesterday.

Spears, who performed her final Melbourne concert at Rod Laver Arena last night, went on a shopping spree at Myer in Bourke St.

The entertainer spent $4618.45 in the spree that lasted just over 45 minutes.

Spears bought pieces from the Jack and Milly childrens wear range for her sons Jayden James and Sean Preston.

For herself she selected a coat from the Penny Black label, a cardigan from the Armani Jeans range, several items of clothing from the Cacharel and DKNY ranges, and a party frock by popular Australian designer Camilla and Marc.

Spears private shopping expedition became a huge spectator event with people posting word of her planned shopping trip on their Twitter pages.

Word quickly spread and about 300 fans waited at Myers Little Bourke St entrance to get a glimpse of the star.

In preparation for her visit, Myer curtained off an area on level one of its store and organized a selection of items for her to check out in private.

Two of Spears burly security guards lingered around Myers cosmetic department, near where her signature fragrance was on display, from midday.

The performer, dressed in black, carrying a large red handbag, and wearing large dark sunglasses with her hair tied in a messy bun, arrived at Myer around 4.30pm and moved through the store surrounded by an entourage of about eight people.

She gave Myer the thumbs up as she left, saying she had bought lots of “good stuff.

I’m moving to a new flat on Saturday, which made me think about where I’ve lived over the last years. Since I’m home sick and bored out of my skull I took a trip down memory lane and created a map of my historic whereabouts.

Apparently, this move will be my 19th since February 2001, but the first ever where I’m moving my own bed and furniture with me.

Debate in the parliament in Brussels was marked by yelling matches, insults and theatrical walkouts, with Italian MPs siding with their leader after failing to have the session cancelled.

“This debate is an absurd farce,” said Mario Mauro, head of the group of Italian MPs in the conservative European People’s Party bloc, the biggest in the assembly.

“You are using lies to cast your adversary as someone who is dangerous,” he said to socialist, green and liberal deputies.

“Go to Tehran, bunch of cowards. freedom of the press is really under threat there,” yelled Mario Borghezio, from the anti-immigrant Northern League, part of Berlusconi’s governing coalition, his armed raised in the air.

But supporters of tighter media ownership rules warn that media ownership in Europe is becoming concentrated in fewer hands, particularly in the broadcast sector.

“We need freedom of the press everywhere in Europe,” said Austrian lawmaker Hans-Peter Martin, who is not tied to any political bloc in the assembly.

Others underlined the “Italian anomaly” in which the head of government is also the country’s biggest media owner.

Berlusconi owns the three biggest commercial television stations, controls state television, owns a newspaper with his family, a magazine Panorama, a major publishing house and an advertising agency.

“This conflict of interests is the problem,” said German Socialist deputy Martin Schulz.

The debate comes after months of revelations about Berlusconi’s private life which have spurred the prime minister-cum-media tycoon to file a series of lawsuits against newspapers in Italy, France and Spain.

Berlusconi has been dogged by scandals over his private life, from questions over his relationship with an aspiring teen model to and allegations involving call girls.

• Why – the hell – am I connected? •

Nowadays, it’s rare – almost impossible – to find someone who has never be in contact with an online social network. Some people are member of one network and don’t spend a lot of time connected, others spend a big part of their life on one of more networks, switching from one virtual identity to another. Some people first create an account “just to see what is was about”, other would pinpoint the advantage these kind of network bring them, some other will use them for professional reason, and other will maybe admit they just wanted to do like everybody.

… But in the end why do we (almost) all feel the need of being a part of these parallel lives, these virtual worlds?

The first social networks were first of all means to be connected to other people, to be able to interact with them. Users use it nowadays to share information about themselve, and to gather private (transformed as public) information about the other.

The first aim of the social network Facebook for instance was to help people to find old, almost forgotten friends… but who uses it today mainly to find other people? Online, a lot of users seem to forget the concept of intimacy… Do they (do we) still feel a need of intimacy, respect of private life?

It has been calculated that Facebook users are connected on average during 20 min a day. We spend 2h20 a week to look at pictures, posts, comment, groups, status of people we often barely know! What for if not just to discover and collect information about people…?

Are social network today something else than a way to meet a need of exhibitionism and/or voyeurism?

Taking some time out between concerts, Britney Spears takes to the water for a family day out in Sydney Harbour. Accompanied by boyfriend Jason Trawick (blonde hair/beard), Britney and her young sons Sean Preston (dark hair) and Jayden James (blonde hair) looked every bit the happy family as they ate al fresco on their launch. Jason was seen doting on the boys, first playing hide and seek with Jayden on the heavily cushioned seats, before playing Superman with both boys, who took it in turns to be spun in the air by their mum’s hunky beau. As the day drew to a close, Britney slipped on Jason’s polo shirt to keep the chill away and the happy crowd all disembarked to head back to their hotel. – UntouchableBritney.net

These candids are so beautiful! It’s amazing to see Britney so happy and comfortable. I really think she has found peace one and for all. Doesn’t it make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside? ^_^

Hello People!

…si, sono rientrata da Londra, dove ho trascorso alcuni giorni che mi hanno veramente elettrizzata: partecipare al WTM è stata un’esperienza che credo mi ricorderò molto a lungo e che mi ha dato tanta tanta carica e voglia di fare!

…vi racconterò tutto in un post che scriverò nei prossimi giorni, quando avrò metabolizzato ed organizzato mentalmente le conoscenze acquisite ed i contenuti di queste intense giornate!

Comunque, sull’onda dell’entusiasmo, ho deciso che stasera è arrivato il momento di condividere con voi il mio primo eBook (sperando non sia l’ultimo!) al quale ho lavorato nel corso delle ultime 2 settimane…quindi boys and girls, ladies and gentlemen, lettori affezionati al mio blogghino, ecco a voi:

Grazie a queste poche pagine, spero di dimostrare anche a voi le incredibili potenzialità che ha (e che avrà sempre di più) Twitter come strumento di travel-planning e, soprattutto di raccogliere spunti, considerazioni e ovviamente consigli per ampliare ulteriormente il tema in futuro! What I do know is that I can’t waste my time and life sitting around doing nothing.

My birthday is coming soon and I have to shape up and fly right.

I am thankful that God has given me another year to make things right.

I am thankful for being alive in this world.

Stuttgart bei Nacht

Auf dem Schlossplatz in Stuttgart ist derzeit so eine Art “Vorweihnachtsmark”, das heißt ein paar Buden mit Glühwein, Pommes und Süßkram sind aufgebaut, sogar eine kleine Eisfläche zum Schlittschuhlaufen. Ich bin dort gestern mit 3 Arbeitskolegen ein wenig drübergeschlendert und habe dabei ein paar Bilde vom nächtlichen Stuttgart geschossen. Leider habe ich irgendeine Einstellung bei meiner Handy-Cam verschüsselt, deswegen sind die Bilder allesamt von mieser Qualität. Ich zeige auch nur die, die man sich ohne Augenkrebs ansehen kann
