The Comeback Queen….? If you were to ask anybody to name a female wrestler within High Octane

The Comeback Queen….?

If you were to ask anybody to name a female wrestler within High Octane Wrestling, chances are you would primarily get “Kirsta Lewis” or “Bobbinette Carey“, with maybe some “Erites Kallistens” thrown in, as a response. But there is another lady eager to join the likes of them and make her name for herself: Dawn McGill.

Since her acceptance onto the roster, she has fought in a number of close matches, narrowly losing out on two occasions to ICON Champion, Maximillian Kael, and once to the LSD Champion, David Black. But where others may drop back, she has continued to step up to the plate. And this week sees her taking on none other than the aforementioned, Kirsta Lewis.

Featuring this week on Bipp Whatley and Carl ‘The Crusher’ Edwards’ Wrestling Guys Radio Hour, Ms. McGill offered these thoughts regarding the match-up and her opponent:

“Kirsta’s speed is certainly a concern. She’s probably the quickest and most elusive wrestlers out there. Her mean streak is legendary. And so is her ‘Hell’s Bitch’ superkick. I’ll have my hands full with her for sure and I’ll have to be careful as she can break out the Hell’s Bitch at anytime, anywhere.

She’s out there wrestling in several federations. It’s difficult to keep that type of schedule up and she’s obviously hit a down time. As far as I’m concerned, that just makes her all the more dangerous. I won’t underestimate her. She’ll bring her A-game Monday night.

It’ll be a challenge getting into the ring with her but I think I’m up to it.”

So far there has been no world from ‘The Hellcat’, but suffering from her own recent misfortune, having dropped from number one on the WWR Women’s Rankings, it is clear that she will be heading into this match focused and determined to rise back to the top. But with a devastating new move added to her arsenal, known as the Blunt Force Trauma (which debuted to almost fatal effect on the same radio show), will Dawn McGill pull out the win and prove to be another stumbling block since Kirsta’s separation from Lee Best?

Tune in this Monday to find out.

Unified Tag Team Champion, Chris Jericho

SmackDown!

SmackDown opened up with the Unified Tag Team Champion, Chris Jericho. The face of SmackDown was telling us about how D Generation X will lose at WWE TLC and how he is disrespected on SmackDown. He talked about the No. 1 contenders match between Kane and Batista and how he should be in it, how he is more deserving of the belt, and what not. It ended with Teddy Long coming out and scheduling a match between the Undertaker and Chris Jericho. I’m not thinking that’s exactly what Chris Jericho wanted.

The first match on the card was the neverending rerun of Cryme Tyme Vs. The Hart Dynasty. What the hell is with this? I know we are watching TV so are we on an endless loop or something? It’s not that the matches aren’t good sometimes it’s that we don’t wanna see it over and over and over, oh did I mention over? Anyway, the match ended with DH Smith hitting Shad from behind with a German Suplex allowing him to go for the cover and win it for the Hart Dynasty.

Following that we saw a backstage segment that started out with Teddy Long and John Morrison. They were talking about the match he was in at Survivor Series. After that we were joined by Vickie and her boyfriend Eric Escobar. Eventually it ended with Vickie attempting to call Mr. McMahon when Teddy stopped her and said he will give Escobar a title match for the IC Championship tonight.

After that we got to here a message from the Straight Edge Superstar, CM Punk. He was joined by a big man who was dressed in what looked like to me a cheap knock off of Undertaker during his bad ass gimmick. I don’t think that I was the only one who thought that. That man was later revealed to be Festus. He talked about how Festus had a drug problem and no one did anything and more of the usual we get from Punk. Luckily for us the usual is good.

After that he talked about a new drug about to hit us. The drug was revealed to be Jeff Hardy’s DVD. After that he talked about how the Hardy DVD is crap and all and told us to watch the last chapter. Where it was a Steel Cage Match between CM Punk and Jeff Hardy. It showed how he retired Jeff for good. Eventually someone had enough of all the trash talk against Jeff and guess who it was. Matt of course. So eventually we ended up seeing CM Punk Vs Matt Hardy, another match rerun.

After Hardy hit the leg drop the match would be done, but not in the way you’d think. This match ended with Luke Gallows(Fesuts) getting involved. CM Punk would take the loss by DQ while Gallows applied a interesting submission move on Hardy and then slamming him down. The Straight Edge guys stood tall.

The next match was the No. 1 Contenders match. It was The Animal, Batista against the Big Red Machine, Kane. One of the things that makes the Undertaker happy is fighting his brother, sadly we all knew that would not be the case in this match. The match ended with Kane Irish Whips him into the security wall with Batista going over. When Kane was coming to get him Batista hit him with a chair that was undetected by the referee and got back in the ring for the count out win. For a match with Batista, it was suprisingly a good one.

And we keep on rolling with the matches. Next was the match for the IC Championship between John Morrison and Eric Escobar. You kinda had to know that Escobar wasn’t going to win the match. John Morrison has had a impressive title reign and it wouldn’t be ended by Vickie’s new boyfriend. That was exactly what happened with John retaining the title and the next part had to be my favourite.

After the match the Escobar/Vickie angle was over. I hate the whole gimmick with Vickie having a boyfriend. How the hell does she even get a boyfriend. The only boyfriend she can get would probably be as fat as her. And eates doodle cakes twice as fast. I know it’s wrestling and it’s scripted, but seriously get some better angles than having guys sleep with her for the power.

The final match on the card is Undertaker Vs Chris Jericho. The first meeting between these two I really didn’t enjoy. Coming from a Jericho fan it was quite boring. This one, much better. The match looked good all around if you ask me. Taker could keep up with Chris this time and they really sold it. At the same time Batista was sitting ringside as a guest commentator. Once again, no comments. The match ended with Batista getting involved and beating down Undertaker with a chair.

Well that was SmackDown for you. See you guys next week.

Quick Results

Hart Dynasty def. Cryme Tyme via pinfall

Matt Hardy def. CM Punk via DQ

Batista def. Kane via count out

John Morrison def. Eric Escobar via pinfall

Undertaker def. Jericho via DQ

WWE TLC Current Card

World Heavyweight Championship: Undertaker(C) Vs. Batista

WWE Championship: John Cena(C) Vs Sheamus (Tables Match)

ECW Championship: Christian(C) Vs Shelton Benjamin(Ladder Match)

Unified Tag Team Championships: Jeri-Show Vs. DX

The ladies might have been off for Thanksgiving holiday, but a few MVW wrestlers showed up last night on HOW Turmoil to help extract a little long overdue payback on one Mario Maurako.

(courtesy of High Octane Wrestling)
Mario: What the hell is going on here?

Missy: Sorry, you don’t get to ask any questions, only we do. You really like beating up woman, don’t you?

Mario: Well ye…

Missy cuts him off with a hard smack right across his face, as we see a board above Mario light up with the number one.

Missy: Tonight every woman in the world gets their revenge….their payback for your Whack-O-Meter and every degrading comments you have ever made.

Joe Hoffman: This doesn’t look good for Mario….

Walking away from Mario we see a line of woman emerge as which include Mayhem announcer Chastity Gold, MVW Roster members like Carrieanne McDermott, Weathergirl Hallie. Christa Carmondy, Corrina Romanov who all walk up to Mario and each deliver a smack across the leader of The Maurako Family’s face which starts getting redder and redder. Also the board above him continues counter up after each smack across his face.

Mario: Ouch!

Next up is a woman who is breast feeding her baby girl who smacks Mario which is quickly followed by the baby girl also smacking Mario, while not evening taking her mouth off her mother’s breast.

Joe Hoffman: Did that baby just smack him too?

Benny Newell: That’s the closet your ever gonna get to a breast Joe.

The line continues as we suddenly see Barbi Kostoff walk up to Mario, which gets a huge pop from the fans inside The Best Arena as Barbi winds up and smacks the shit out of Mario before walking away. The line continues as we see former ring announcer Amy Smeets take a swing at Mario followed by HOW highest ranked female Krista Lewis and the fiancé of Scottywood, Kelly Fisher. A few more females from the MVW roster make their way through the line as we then see a woman dress as what seems to be Pocahontas walk up and smack Mario across the face and then stuff a hand full of mashed potatoes in his face…

Well here’s the article guys, enjoy.

We miss you, Randy Orton.

We really do.

It has been far too long since we have seen “the” Randy Orton that struck fear into the hearts of each and every person foolish enough to get in his way.

Don’t you remember?

Readers, think back the beginning of 2009.

Think back to the time when the evolution of Randy Orton was something that kept you on the edge of your sofa each and every Monday night.

Sure, the script writers butchered a few angles (Shane McMahon’s kitten-punches, IED, and Orton’s law come to mind) but the total product was something fresh, something original, something…

Special.

Everything seemed to work.

The return from a broken collar-bone made you fresh, your new tattoos gave you attitude, and your facial expressions provided the video footage to match your deranged theme music.

This was the Randy Orton the WWE Universe couldn’t get enough of.

Yet what do we have before us today?

The top heel on Raw?

I’ll give you that.

Someone the people will “pay” to see?

Yep, you still got it.

The No. 1 guy in the industry?

Unquestionably (though those who embrace the right to be incorrect might beg to differ).

But someone to be afraid of?

No.

And it’s a shame.

A shame that the WWE’s finest script writers decided to turn you into a comic-book character.

“Here comes Randy Orton the bad guy, I hope Super Cena can defeat the villain.”

That’s the problem: Randy Orton should not be a villain, which is exactly what they’ve made him.

Kofi Kingston = good.

Randy Orton = bad.

Ryan Michael thinks…who cares?

Sure, it’s nice to see the little guy stand triumphant but when it’s all said and done, I feel as though I’ve watched a big sweaty version of a Saturday morning cartoon.

Way to go, PG-ratings.

Yet I yearn for the day when I can truly “care” about the WWE’s Randy Orton product.

I stand by it, I’d buy it over and over again because my loyalty resides with the Superstar who has entertained me year after year.

That’s called being a fan.

But when was the last time I sat and watched Raw, clutched my chest and said “What the f**k just happened?, I can’t believe he just did that!”?

Where’s the unpredictable Randy Orton?

You see, somewhere along the line Randy Orton ceased to be ”the evil evolution of sports entertainment” and simply became a slithering snake of a villain.

NOT the same thing.

Back in the day (or should I say, 10 months ago) Randy Orton didn’t take anyone’s sh*t.

When Batista wanted to whine like a perplexed caveman about how he was “sick and tired” or Orton bad-mouthing the group that turned on him and beat him down for no reason, Orton punted him in the skull (saving us months of Batistic garbage) and cured the WWE again by tearing up his arm after he returned.

When Triple H found himself caught in the middle of “the destruction of the McMahon family” that came about as a result of the decisions that he made, Randy Orton made him cry in front of 20,000 people.

This was a Randy Orton who became a force to be reckoned with.

When the WWE’s so-called bad-a**es would simply ”beat you up,” Randy Orton would take you out.

Randy Orton would never, and allow me to stress the word NEVER, allow someone like Kofi Kingston to cough on him, let alone make him bleed.

Randy Orton took men who had actually held the title, like CM Punk, and punted them out of relevance before they even had the opportunity to fight back.

He didn’t get beat up by people under 6′0″.

Okay, I can understand “selling” for people, but there has to be a limit to everything within reason.

As I say, give us the bad in moderation, don’t make me throw up by having to drink the whole glass.

Randy Orton doesn’t “need” to change because he’s still 10 steps ahead of the curve on a bad week with the WWE’s script writers writing backwards.

But if Randy Orton wants to become truly “great” again, we need to see that hunger, that hatred in his eyes every time the slightest thing goes wrong for him.

We can’t see him getting beat up week after week but more importantly, we can’t see his opponents walking around Raw without fear.

Randy Orton’s opponents should either be overcome with fear as a result of their common-sense of they should be stricken by injury for their lack of it.

THAT is the Randy Orton we need to see back on television Monday nights.

This is the first of a series of articles looking at the career, influence and legacy of wrestling

This is the first of a series of articles looking at the career, influence and legacy of wrestling’s most influential character, Vince McMahon.

There can surely be no more controversial figure in the history of professional wrestling than Vincent Kennedy McMahon. According to his own company, WWE, Vince is responsible for everything good and successful in professional wrestling or, as they would have it, sports-entertainment, today. On the other hand, many outside the company blame him for more or less everything wrong with the business today. Either way, almost all agree that his mark on this business is truly indelible. Getting to the heart of the real Vince is, however, extremely difficult. He doesn’t give a huge amount of interviews – he probably doesn’t have the time – and he is never unguarded in his public comments. Most, if not all of what we hear said about him is said by someone with a vested interest in attacking or defending him, which makes it hard to be sure what is accurate. Finally, no one in wrestling is harder to distinguish from their on-screen, in-ring persona.

Being the son of Vincent J McMahon and the grandson of Jesse McMahon, it might have been thought more or less inevitable that Vince would end up promoting wrestling. Yet, in fact he did not even meet his father until he was twelve years old, and it took him much, much longer to persuade Vince senior to let him into the business. It was not until 1971, when Vince was in his mid-twenties that he promoted his first card. It was also in that year that he began the job that would first make him recognisable to the general public, that of play by play announcer. It was not until 1982 that Vince actually bought the company from his father who, by this point, was in poor health.

The next few years are a key part of one of the most often told stories in wrestling, the collapse of the territories. In a nutshell, wrestling at this time was, and had been for decades, a regional business, with promoters each sticking to their own territory. Vince’s territory was New York and it was perfectly usual for wrestlers to refer simply to “New York” when they meant “World Wrestling Federation”. There were many other promoters with their own territories: Sam Muchnick in St Louis, Verne Gagne’s AWA based in Minneapolis, Jim Crockett in the Carolinas and so on. Many of these promotions were part of a group called the NWA (National Wrestling Alliance) which simply meant that, in addition to their own regional champions, they recognized an overall NWA World Champion who moved between the various NWA territories, defending his title against each area’s local favourite. The exceptions were Gagne’s AWA and Vince’s World Wrestling Federation, who recognized their own world champions.

Almost as soon as he became owner of the then WWF, Vince began attacking this model. The territory system had worked well for years but Vince realised that he could make his federation a national, rather than regional, institution. Vince began sending tapes of his product to TV stations around the country, touring outside his usual regional boundaries and hiring top talent away from other promotions, not just to strengthen his own product but also deliberately to weaken them. Many old-schoolers within the business were appalled at what Vince was doing. He was gambling big, spending money to make money and, if he failed he would face ruin. The prize, however, was that the World Wrestling Federation could become big, so big that it would transcend anyone’s ideas of what a wrestling promotion could, or should, be.

Vince’s biggest gamble was Wrestlemania and it paid off big-time. His use of mainstream celebrities helped attract a wide audience to the company and the event was broadcast nationally. Vince’s partnership with Dick Ebersol got the WWF on to NBC, and his instant adoption of the new medium of pay per view gave him more nationally broadcast events and a whole new way of making money. One by one, the regional promotions began to disappear. It is arguably only because of the intervention of Ted Turner that Vince did not entirely conquer North American wrestling back then. Even so, by the beginning of the ‘90s, a multitude of regional promotions had been replaced by two credible national promotions, WCW (Turner’s World Championship Wrestling), born out of the old NWA, and the WWF.

Vince has come under heavy criticism, both at the time and to this day, for “destroying the territories”. It is true that this has had unforeseen negative effects, primarily due to the fact that it is harder for young wrestlers to break into the business and get the experience they need nowadays. Back then, if a rookie wrestler stank in the ring it wasn’t necessarily fatal; he could learn from his mistakes and move on to a new territory, where a new audience would see him as the finished article. These days, if a young wrestler stinks on national TV practically the entire wrestling audience sees him do so and his career can be pretty much over before it has really had a chance to begin. However, the people who blame Vince for this situation need to recognise some other factors.

The United States was not the only country that ran wrestling in this regional way; through the fifties, sixties and seventies British wrestling was organised in exactly the same way. However, even without Vince McMahon, this model began to break down at more or less the same time. Throughout history, the local gives way to the regional, the regional to the national, the national to the international. This is a natural effect born of improvements in transport, communication and technology, although every generation bemoans what they lose as if it is happening for the first time. Wrestling was no more immune to this than any other facet of society. Sooner or later the change from regional to national was coming; if it hadn’t been Vince, it would have been someone else.

Secondly, the other promoters did not go out of business because Vince didn’t play fair but simply because they did not fight him effectively. Several of them, initially, had the base and resources to compete with Vince on the new national battlefield he was drawing up, Gagne and Crockett especially. Instead they chose to fight him in their own backyards, on a regional basis. Eventually, Gagne went out of business, Crockett sold up to Turner. Had Vince been ruthless and acquisitive? Of course he had – hardly sins in the business world. When he ran the first Survivor Series he wasn’t just creating a new pay per view to boost his own income, he was deliberately sabotaging the 5th Starrcade, Crockett’s first pay per view offering. That was ruthlessness, plain and simple.

Vince was also innovative, though. He was making money in ways his rivals hadn’t even thought of. Who else in wrestling had an animated cartoon show? Vince was putting WWF images, and Hulk Hogan’s image in particular, on everything under the sun and this was having a twofold effect. Not only did it make the WWF more and more money, it made the word wrestling almost synonymous with WWF and Hulk Hogan in the minds of the wider public. Everywhere the public turned, they saw Hulk Hogan and the WWF. The WWF became more than just a wrestling company – they were a brand of children’s entertainment competing with He-Man, Superman, the A-Team, Indiana Jones and everyone else in all the same ways: computer games, toys, lunch boxes, t-shirts and anything else one could think of.

Critics would point out that the wrestling in Vince’s federation was slow, plodding and technically poor compared to many of the old territories. They were missing the point; Vince was no longer competing with other wrestling promotions, he was competing with everyone who wanted a piece of the American family’s dollar. In the long run, Vince may have been creating problems for the wrestling business in the future but at the time, the eighties were a period of unbridled success for him, and the wrestling business had been raised to unimaginable new heights.

Hey guys! This article was orginally published on Bleacher Report. I’m republishing it here. Check it out it’s an awesome read.

Hey it’s Svyato hitting you up with another article. We all know that when you think of great tag teams over the years you absolutely have to have the Hardy Boyz. Jeff and Matt Hardy have always put on great tag team action.

I guess with them actually being brothers, it actually helps them in the tag division and it shows. Anyway here is my tribute to one of my favourite teams of all time.

Hardy Boyz

These two first began tag teaming with each other in 1993 in independent circuit. The two worked in many different North Carolina wrestling promotions holding the NWA 2000 Tag Team Championships and the OMEGA Tag Team titles. Yes they are all that.

At first when being signed to WWF the two Hardy brothers competed as jobbers to make other wrestlers look good in both singles and tag team action. The Hardy Boyz eventually began to rise and establish themselves as a tag team.

On an episode of Sunday Night Heat, Jeff and Matt knocked off Kaientai. After that win they were getting more and more popular especially with their stunts and high flying move set.

They started to become legitimate contenders for the tag titles when they got Michael Hayes as their manager. On June 29, 1999 on an edition of Raw is War the Hardys defeated The Acolytes to win their first-ever WWF Tag Team Titles! Sadly they lost the titles back to The Acolytes in less than a month.

Eventually they dumped Hayes as their manager and became heels. They had a brief association with Gangrel. After winning a a good number of matches against Edge and Christian, including the first-ever tag team ladder match they got the services of Terri Runnels.

On the next episode of Raw is War, both got an amazing ovation from the crowd. This feud would go on for over two years and Team Xtreme got an addition of Lita to the faction.

The name Team Xtreme really suited them because of high flying move set they used. In 2000 they were a part of many spectacular ladder and TLC matches with Edge and Christian and the Dudley Boyz.

At Wrestlemania 2000 it was a Triple Threat Tag Team Ladder Match for the Tag titles. The Dudley Boyz entered as champions and Edge and Christian walked away as champions.

At Insurrextion, The Hardy Boyz faced Edge and Christian for the titles. They did win the match, but it was by DQ so the Hardys would be left without the titles again.

At King of The Ring, The Hardys faced Edge and Christian, Too Cool, and T & A in a Four Corners Elimination Match for the tag team championships. The Hardys eliminated T & A, but were then eliminated by Edge and Christian.

At SummerSlam was the first ever TLC match for the tag team titles. It was Dudleys Vs Hardys Vs Edge and Christian. Once again we would see Edge and Christian walking away with the title.

Unforgiven would be the time for the Hardy Boyz to rise back to the top as they defeated Edge and Christian in a Steel Cage Match to win the titles for only the second time.

At No Mercy they would lose the titles to the disguised Edge and Christian, but the following night would regain them for their third reign as champions.

They would lose the titles to Right to Censor in less than a month after being assaulted by Edge and Christian.

With that the Hardy Boyz began a feud with Right to Censor and Edge and Christian. At Survivor Series the Dudley Boyz teamed up with the Hardy Boyz to knock off the combined team of Right to Censor and Edge & Christian in a elimination tag match. They were given another shot at the titles, but lost due to interference from Val Venis.

On Dec. 4 Dean Malenko defeated the Hardy Boyz “valet” Lita and retained the Light Heavyweight Championship also earning him a date with her. However on his date he received a beating from the Hardy Boyz.

This started a feud between them and Malenko and the Radicalz. The two teams fought in singles and tag action on SmackDown and Raw. The feud ended at Armageddon in a three-on-three tag match between the two groups with the Hardy Boyz losing.

On March 5, 2001, The Hardy Boyz would recapture the Tag team titles by defeating the Dudley Boyz. The next month at Wrestlemania 17 the Hardyz would have to defend those titles in another TLC Match between themselves, the Dudleyz, and Edge & Christian. The result was the same in this TLC as in the first, Edge and Christian win.

The Hardyz would recapture gold as they beat Booker T and Test for the WCW Tag Championships. They would go on to lose them to the Dudleyz. Then they would beat Booker T and Test again, but this time for the WWF Tag Team Titles.

Then they would lose them in a unification tag team title match to guess who? The Dudley Boyz. At No Mercy, they faced Acolyte Protection Agency in tag team turmoil, which they lost. At Wrestlemania 18 they competed in a four corners match for the tag titles.

It would have the champions retaining their gold. They then began feuding with newcomer Brock Lesnar and his manager Paul Heyman. At Judgment Day, the Hardyz lost to them.

The duo would slowly split as Jeff went to his single action and Matt went to his. This would not mark the end for the Hardyz however. In November 2006 on wwe.com it was announced that both Hardy brothers would be on DX’s Survivor Series team.

This made the WWE Universe extremely happy! Before the Survivor Series match the Hardyz got a tune up match on ECW, where they won. Then at Survivor Series they helped DX win their match.

On November 27th the Hardyz got their first tag team title shot in fib years! They would not capitalize though as Edge and Orton got themselves disqualified on purpose to retain the titles.

The same day the Hardy Boyz sent out an open challenge to any team for ECW December to Dismember. It was accepted by the reuniting MNM. MNM would however fall victim to the Hardyz at the PPV.

At Armageddon it was the Hardyz vs MNM vs Dave Taylor & Regal vs Brain Kendrick and Paul London in a four team ladder match for the WWE Tag Team Championships.

They sparked another feud with them where Mercury was injured. On Raw Nitro and Jeff would continue feuding over the IC title while Matt and Mercury feuded on SmackDown.

The final meeting between the two was at Royal Rumble where The Hardyz won the match. Despite this, Matt and Mercury would continue feuding. Their feud would end at No Way Out. On April 2, 2007 the Hardy Boyz regained the tag team championships for a sixth time in a ten team battle royal.

After both of them lost in singles competition they retained their titles against Cade and Murdoch at Judgment Day. They would follow that up by retaining at One Night Stand against The World’s Greatest Tag Team (Benjamin and Haas) in a ladder match.

The next night the Hardy Boyz would lose the titles to Murdoch and Cade. Despite a rematch at Vengeance Cade and Murdoch remained champions.

On Nov. 13, the Hardyz faced MVP and Mr. Kennedy in a match originally scheduled for SmackDown. This would be a losing effort for the Hardy Boyz as MVP got the pin on Jeff.

Then you would have to wait until 2008 WWE draft to see them reunite again. Earlier in the night Jeff was drafted to SmackDown (Matt’s current brand) and joined his brother in a match against Miz and Morrison.

They lost the match and even worse was that Matt Hardy was drafted to ECW, ending the reunion for the brothers. Following that, they would reunite three more times to defeat Miz and Morrison three more times.

At 2009 Royal Rumble Matt Hardy lost in a match for the ECW Championship to Jack Swagger. This would result in him attacking his very own brother, Jeff Hardy in his WWE Championship defense.

The two would feud from there meeting at Wrestlemania, on SmackDown, and with the final meeting at Backlash. Matt Hardy won the first two meetings, but then lost the last meeting at Backlash in an I Quit Match.

As a part of the 2009 WWE draft Matt Hardy moved to Raw. This would be short lived as he would eventually get traded back to SmackDown in a 15-man deal made by Mr. Donald Trump.

On SmackDown Matt Hardy would turn back into a face and once again reunite with Jeff. However this would not last too long as Jeff fought in a Loser Leaves Town, Steel Cage match against CM Punk which he lost and was released from the company for good, thus ending the Hardy Boyz.

Then again you never know, WWE might bring him back some day.

Closing Notes

In my eyes the Hardy Boyz will always be one of the best WWE tag teams of all time. Despite Jeff’s track record and despite any issues that might surround Matt, the legacy of the Hardy Brothers will live on forever!

Hopes you guys enjoyed that, I’m out.

MATCH #1
New Mexico soccer player Elizabeth Lambert
vs.
France soccer player Thierry Henry
Henry gains control due to a test of strength. Henry with chops to Lambert, he grabs a headlock takedown which quickly becomes a headscissors. Lambert escapes with some well-placed elbows and both are up. Lambert runs off the ropes and tries a shoulder block. Nothing. She tries again. Same result. Lambert tries kicking him first but this time Henry takes her down. Lambert runs off the ropes, Henry catches the leapfrog attempt and turns it into a fireman’s carry cutter. Fist drop by Henry, a scoop slam and a second rope knee drop which misses. Lambert wraps Henry’s leg in the ropes then dropkicks it. Shinbreaker by Lambert! Lambert out to grab a chair and back in. Henry manages gets loose. Lambert clobbers him with the chair. Henry staggers back to his corner. What? He’s raising the white flag? Johnny Suave utters his first ‘HOLY CRAP’ of the night. Lambert yanks Henry by what hair he has and throws him face first to the mat. The referee calls for the bell. Kicks by Lambert now and she doesn’t let up. The ref tries to pull Lambert off Henry. Lambert elbows him in the stomach. Lambert bends down and starts bouncing Henry’s head off the canvas. The bell rings a second time. Lambert continues to assault Henry.

The announcement is made that Lambert won the match due to Henry submitting. Suddenly, an enraged Zinedine Zidane runs into the ring and verbally abuses the referee. HEAD BUTT to the referee! Zidane grabs Lambert and pulls her off Henry. Zidane goes for a head butt. Lambert eludes and takes a free kick right to Zidane’s balls. Mercifully, security finally intervenes before more bloodshed and a possible international incident results.

WINNER: Elizabeth Lambert in 2:35

Suave then reviews the recent release of The Alaskan Pitbull’s new book, Going Rogue, and then replays Bill Clinton’s Hot Tub from a few weeks back.

(Replay from 10/7-PCW EXTREME POLITICAL TV- PART 2)
Slick Announcer Guy: “And now, it’s time for our new feature on PCW Extreme Political TV, Bill Clinton’s Hot Tub. And here’s your host, Bill Clinton.” Clinton, inside a steaming hot tub, waves to the audience. Clinton: “Good evening. Tonight on our new show, Bill Clinton’s Hot Tub, we are damn lucky to have one of the most polarizing figures in American politics today. And even better, she’s hot looking! Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin!” The camera pans over to Palin who seems a little uncomfortable with the whole arrangement. Her clothes are stacked up by the side of the hot tub and she tries to keep as low as possible inside the hot tub. Clinton: “Governor Palin, I am profoundly appreciative that you came on my show tonight.” Palin: “Um…thank you, President Clinton. But, was it really necessary for both of us to take all of our clothes off?” Clinton: “Well, it all depends on what your definition of ‘clothes’ is. Is it a metaphoric reference to cover up what we really feel inside or is it more of an issue of not wanting to totally put yourself out there?” Palin: “Riiiight. You betcha. Can we get to my book?” Clinton reaches over and grabs a copy of Palin’s new book, Going Rogue. Clinton: “From her humble beginnings to her time in the spotlight as the first female Republican Vice Presidential candidate, Sarah Palin has led an extraordinary life. Going Rogue will recount her political experiences, her time as Mayor of Wasilla and as the first female governor of Alaska, as well as her rapid rise on the national stage during the 2008 campaign. Additionally, she’ll share insights into the personal challenges she’s faced including balancing her time as a working mother, recognizing the war’s impact with her son serving combat in Iraq, having a child with a disability and supporting her teenage daughter through an unplanned pregnancy.” Palin: “I just wanted to tell my side of the story and share the experiences that I’ve gone through over the past year of so.” Clinton: “Very intriguing. Going Rogue. I think I’d like your book better if you called it Going Commando. BWHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHHAHAHA” Palin: “Mr. President, that’s not the least bit funny.” Clinton: “BWHAHAHAHAHAHA…haha… hahaha….ha ha……ha…………..ha…oh, all right. You-a…you became a lightning rod for any number of groups. Some thought you were refreshing. Others didn’t think you were ready for prime time. You believe this book tells us all about the real Sarah Palin? Palin: “Yes I do. It’s about growing up in Alaska, meeting Todd, running for office, addresses my beliefs in faith and family, um, the book is about who I am.” Clinton: “All right, before we go, I have to ask you a favor.” Palin: “Um…what?” Clinton: “Can you do that whole put your hands in the air thing you did on Saturday Night Live?” Palin: “Not right at this moment.” Clinton: “Shucks. Okay, that’s it for Bill Clinton’s Hot Tub. Tune in next week when-” Hillary’s Voice: “WILLIAM JEFFERSON CLINTON!” Clinton: “Oh ****. Hillary doesn’t know I have company. Can you kind of go under the water for a few seconds and…” Palin: “I don’t think so.” Hillary enters, none too happy. Clinton: “Hi honey, how you do-” *CLANG* Hillary connects with a frying pan to the mush.

Suave: “And we’re back. That was intellectually stimulating…okay…it was stimulating, but we won’t get into details…

—————————————–

And while you’re there (cheap plug…cheap plug…) check out this book as well. Loose Cannons

There are some books you curl up with on a warm couch to read.

This isn’t one of them.

Released just in time for the presidential election but stil relevant in today’s dysfunctional political atmosphere, Loose Cannons and Other Weapons of Mass Political Destruction is an independent call to arms, a rowdy, hard-hitting, no holds barred satire that finally puts politics in proper perspective- by equating it to professional wrestling. Or in other terms, it’s a book you can crack open a six of beer and crank up the music to enjoy a humorous and occasionally biting political satire.

A dark cloud has covered the American political landscape. The powerful forces of professional partisans, political operatives, and special interest groups have combined to polarize the electorate into two bitterly divided extreme camps while many people tune out of the political process altogether.

However, DeWayne Cantrell isn’t like most people.

Co-owner with Bubba Jackson of the world’s only political pro wrestling federation, Buckland County Extreme Wrestling, DeWayne, a reformed politician himself, skewers the political world on a weekly basis on the BCEW wrestling show. But when powerful United States Senator David Hutchinson gets wind of what Cantrell is doing, DeWayne finds himself being subpoenaed to appear before a Senate sub-committee on the ‘Media and Their Contribution to the Coarseness of the American Culture.’ It is only after a heated exchange with Senator Hutchinson at the contentious hearing that DeWayne realizes that it’s no joke anymore.

Cantrell then throws his hat into the political ring and challenges Hutchinson for his Senate seat. Can DeWayne stand up for the little guy against the establishment of both political parties and stick it to the Washington D.C. elites? To what lengths will the professional politicians and their special interest groups go to stop him?

And will American politics ever be the same?

NOTE: We’d like to reassure everyone that no actual American Congressman, Senator, President, aides, political pundits, know-it-all celebrity political pundits, pompous cable TV personalities, right wing or left wing talk show hosts, reality show contestants, Weather Channel personalities, or skanky rich bimbos were injured in the making of this book.

———–

Suave notes as an FYI, several current PCW characters are in Loose Cannons including him, Dawn McGill, Justin Sufferable, Chris Escondido, Starz N. Stripes aka Kevin Scott and many more.

BACKSTAGE
American Patriots Leader Eric Cantor implores the Raving Rednecks Locke and Loade to defeat the BiPartisan Dream Team. Cantor, Chief Deputy Whip Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.), Rep. Mary Bono Mack (R-Calif.) and Rep. Paul Broun (R-Ga.) oppose the Progressive Alliance’s plan to provide universal health insurance to PCW roster members. RINO and Blue Dog D favor compromise on a health insurance plan as long as its fiscally responsible.

MATCH #2
Blue Dog D (Progressive Alliance) and RINO (American Patriots)
vs.
‘Raving Rednecks’ Locke and Loade (American Patriots)
Locke gets control very early with a knee to the face and a running neckbreaker. A pair of clotheslines by Locke, RINO tries to toss him over the top but he skins the cat and comes back in with a flying forearm. ARRIBA! Locke tosses RINO out but HE skins the cat…and gets kicked in the face. Locke low-bridges Blue Dog D and Locke gets an assisted crossbody to the floor on both men. Back inside, Loade gets some chops to RINO and then an inverted atomic. Loade drops his head too early and gets kicked in the face, the tag is made to Blue Dog D who hits a SILKY flying European. Loade comes back with a back elbow and a pair of clotheslines, tag is made to Locke and they hit a series of double teams culminating in a knee drop for 2 by Locke. Blue Dog D gets some forearms to regain control, he calls for RINO but Locke runs through the double team and clotheslines both men. All 4 men in the ring, they hang Blue Dog D in the tree of woe and whip RINO into him! EWWWW they crotche RINO on the face of Blue Dog D, then RINO falls on top of him in a…shall we say compromising position? I think we shall. Locke gets a boot up to a charging Blue Dog D, but Blue Dog D comes back with some forearms and whips Locke into RINO’ knee. RINO is in now, back elbow by RINO. Tag back to Blue Dog D, what the hell are they doing? They just did a tour of Locke’s hands and feet…never mind it was dumb. Whip to Locke, Blue Dog D hits a knee in the corner followed by a big boot by RINO and a knee drop by Blue Dog D. RINO is the legal man and gets a 2 count. RINO slaps around Locke and gets his teeth rearranged with a superkick. Tag to Loade, clothesline! A pair! A trio! Baaaaaack body drop. Inverted atomic for RINO! He is a House~! En! FUEGO~!! Chop for Blue Dog D and a Blockbuster gets 2. Whip to RINO and Locke kicks him in the back of the head from the apron. Double team suplex! Assisted uranage slam by Loade gets two before RINO breaks it up. RINO and Blue Dog D set for the Flibuster Buster, Eric Cantor now ringside and up on the ring apron. Locke uses the distraction to hit a low blow. Locke lifts RINO up…4-D REDNECK DEATHBLAST! Loade gets the rollup for 3!

WINNER: ‘Raving Rednecks’ Locke and Loade in 7:22

Post match, the Green World Order (GreenPete, Extreme Vegan Brock Cole Lee, PeaceNick, and Peta from PETA) run-in. Cantor vacates. Lee and GreenPete eject Locke and Loade forceably from the ring. PeaceNick protests the violent manner of which Lee and GreenPete forceably eject Locke and Loade from the ring. Peta just screams out “”THANKSGIVING IS MURDER ON TURKEYS!” over and over. Crowd: “PEOPLE EATING (clap, clap clap-clap-clap) TASTY ANIMALS! (clap, clap clap-clap-clap) Cahall tells Peta that people are tired of being badgered by others telling them what they can eat, drink, and think. Cahall: “Just shut up. Don’t eat meat if that’s your choice. But leave people alone. Things are bad enough without zealots like you telling them what to do.” Koteen, in between puffs from his cigarette, starts throwing slabs of turkey meat to the crowd. Crowd: “RRRRRAHAHHHHHHHHHHHH!” Peta throws a fit. Peta: “STOP THAT! STOP IT!” GreenPete and Brock Cole Lee hop out of the ring and confront Politically Incorrect. GreenPete knocks over the wagon holding the turkey. Cahall takes the baster and squirts turkey juice in his eyes. Andrea Doria grabs the cutting board and blasts GreenPete in the back of his head. His eyes roll up and he falls to the floor. Koteen takes the pot of boiling hot water and dumps it on Brock Cole Lee. Doria then nails him with the solid wooden cutting board and takes him out.

The Goatbusters, Peter Jenkman and Ray Scantz climb into the ring. Suave: “The winner gets NCISF’d on Wednesday night’s PCW/MVW House Show…Show.”

Abrams and Jenkman start things out with a shoving contest and Jenkman grabs a headlock and then bulls over him with a shoulder block. We get a leapfrog sequence and Abrams hits a gut punch, leaps over Jenkman and hits a spinning wheel kick. Scantz tags in, jumps into the ring and taunts, but Abrams is having none of it and hits a kick to the gut. They do a leapfrog sequence to a stalemate until Scantz schools Abrams with a series of armdrags. Bettis tags in, fakes a Greco-Roman Knucklelock and hits a boot to the gut, and follows with a stiff chop and a back elbow. Jenkman tags back in and they trade shoves, shoulder blocks and slaps. Kevin blows snot on Bettis and Bettis spits on Kevin. Jenkman wins a forearm exchange but Bettis hits a dropkick. He wins another strike war and whips Kevin to the corner and hits a corner clothesline, and then hits a snap mare before hitting a running boot for a two count. Abrams tags in and controls Kevin with corner thrusts but Jenkman counters a vertical suplex with his own. Jenkman grabs a front facelock and Scantz tags in. Scantz and Abrams trade strikes and Bettis is back in and so is Jim Frascantore. They hit a double football tackle on Scantz. Bettis covers for two.

Bettis hits a snap suplex for two and Scantz backs up and tags Jenkman in. Kevin telegraphs a back body drop and gets kicked, but he rolls under a clothesline and DDTs Bettis for two. Abrams tried to break up the cover and gets a snot rocket in his direction. He tells Scantz to put the boot up and slams Bettis’s face on the boot. Scantz is in and he gets two off a scoop slam. Jenkmanerico work in the drop toehold/somersault legdrop combo, Scantz takes out Abrams and Jenkman covers for two. Scantz tags back in and stays on top of things with strikes. He whips Bettis into the corner but runs into a back elbow, and Bettis hits the reverse STO into the middle turnbuckle. Bettis makes the tag and Abrams busts out some Redneck Fu and an Alabama Slam. Jenkman comes in and Abrams hits the leg lariat to the back of the neck. He runs into a boot and Scantz tosses him to the apron. Scantz dives onto Bettis and Abrams dives onto Jenkman!

Scantz and Abrams go back into the ring and stare each other down. Abrams wins a forearm battle but runs into Scantz’s modified Michinoku Driver. Scantz gets two and goes for the corner Yakuza Kick, but runs into a superkick. Both men make tags and Bettis and Jenkman trade forearms and elbows. LOTS of forearms and elbows. Bettis wins with punches and stomps a mudhole. He does the facewash but Scantz hits the Yakuza Kick when he goes to the other corner! SIDE EXPLODER BY ABRAMS! POWERBOMB BY JENKMAN! All four men are down! Jenkman and Bettis are up and trade punches, but Jenkman hits the Codebreaker! He heads up top, but the Swanton Bomb eats knees! Jenkman tags out but Scantz runs into a forearm. Scantz tosses Bettis to the apron but Abrams hits a clothesline and a cutter, Bettis lifts up Jenkman, DEATH VALLEY DRIVER ON THE APRON!

Jim Frascantore pick up Scantz and hit the crucifix bomb/neckbreaker combination. Bettis covers but Scantz kicks out at two! They set up for the Emergency Broadcast Suplex, but Jenkman grabs Abrams, VICTORY ROLL BY SCANTZ! ONE…TWO…THR-NO! Scantz grabs Bettis, and hits an Exploder into the buckles! Jenkman is in, CANNONBALL! Scantz is up top, SOMERSAULT COAST TO COAST DROPKICK BY SCANTZ! Cover…1…2…3!

WINNER: The Goatbusters in 15:27

Linda McMahon, in her campaign to unseat U.S. Sen. Christopher Dodd, has repeatedly distanced herself from the business that made her rich and propelled her aspiring political career — professional wrestling.

In TV commercials and campaign brochures, McMahon mentions that she operated a highly successful business with her husband that had once gone bankrupt. But the commercials never mention wrestling.

Now, one of the best-known champion wrestlers of the 1970s and ’80s is bursting from behind the curtain, vaulting the ropes and trying to disrupt the match in progress — an annoyance and political distraction that McMahon does not need.

Pictures: Superstar Billy Graham

Superstar Billy Graham is speaking out against the woman he says made millions from the violence, sexual exploitation, blood and excesses of professional wrestling. What outrages him particularly, he says, are recent attempts to sanitize the wrestling mega-enterprise whose sexy women wrestlers once performed in “lingerie matches” and were still posing nude in Playboy as recently as 2008. He views this toning down as a huge act of hypocrisy — an attempt to graft a family-friendly face onto a business that has been anything but.

After operating the highly successful World Wrestling Entertainment empire for years with her husband, Vince, Linda McMahon has resigned as chief executive officer and is campaigning full time against four fellow Republicans for the right to face Dodd in November 2010.

Graham makes no bones about his love-hate relationship with the McMahons, which started years before Linda McMahon emerged as a candidate for public office. The WWE, an attorney for Vince McMahon and Linda McMahon’s campaign all denounce Graham as a bitter former employee with zero credibility.

Nonetheless, his promise to dog her campaign threatens to keep the gritty and, to many, unsavory aspects of professional wrestling’s past a part of McMahon’s run for a seat in the U.S. Senate.

Grappling With McMahon

Graham, now 66, limped slowly on the short walk toward the front door at a local Starbucks on Long Island, clearly favoring his left leg.

Only seconds after Graham stepped out of his car, a middle-aged woman recognized him and said hello — a common occurrence for the former wrestling champion who signs autographs regularly despite retiring two decades ago. He was staying on Long Island recently at the home of his agent during a New York-area tour that included several autograph- signing sessions for fans.

Known for his charisma, Graham was a close friend of Hall-of-Famer Andre the Giant and grappled against most of the best-known wrestlers of his era: Bruno Sammartino, Bob Backlund, Gorilla Monsoon, Haystacks Calhoun, Chief Jay Strongbow and many others.

He still accepts the adulation of rabid fans, but the praise for the wrestling legend came at a price — six hip replacements and five hip dislocations he attributes to taking massive amounts of steroids that built his body to super-human proportions and allowed him to bench-press 600 pounds. Graham is lucky to be alive after receiving a liver transplant that he needed, he said, because he contracted hepatitis C from the blood of another wrestler.

Graham is furious about having no pension and no continuing health care from his wrestling career, an anger that fuels his campaign against McMahon’s candidacy.

“She may look like a Sunday school teacher,” Graham said, but he insists nothing could be further from the truth. “Linda McMahon’s hands are as bloody as her husband’s because she is aware of every move in the ring,” he said.

The WWE, Vince McMahon’s attorney and the campaign all dismissed Graham as a loose cannon who is firing in multiple directions and is not credible. They say he is a former employee who has become disgruntled and bitter regarding the McMahons. Her campaign spokesman, Ed Patru, said, “That rhetoric is so over the top and so outrageous that it’s not credible and not believable.”

Graham admits that he is disgruntled and bitter. But he is also beside himself, watching as Linda McMahon sells herself to a Connecticut electorate with little mention of her professional wrestling past. He said he feels compelled to call her out on behalf of Connecticut voters — and he plans to do so by traveling to the state next summer on a regular basis.

It is not just the candidate who is changing her colors, Graham said.

Since McMahon, 61, announced her campaign in mid-September, Graham said, there have been three immediate, major changes in the professional wrestling business.

First, in a sport where bleeding was once commonplace, blood has been virtually banished from the ring. Graham said he cut himself with a razor blade 300 to 400 times in his decadeslong career. Said Graham: “She has had no problem with grown men — myself included — cutting their head with a razor blade. All of a sudden, why aren’t these guys bleeding anymore? Because Linda is running for the Senate.”

The second major change, he said, is that the attractive female wrestlers who have posed nude in Playboy magazine in the past are suddenly no longer posing.

Source: eWrestlingNews.com
From comedians to politicians to musical performers to professional athletes, Monday Night Raw’s weekly guest hosts are some of past and present’s finest entertainers. The WWE Universe, therefore, can expect this trend to continue as more and more of the most popular celebrities are hopping aboard to serve as Raw special host.

Nov. 23, 2009: Jesse Ventura
This week, WWE Hall of Famer Jesse Ventura will take the reins from Hershey, Pa., on a special Thanksgiving three-hour presentation of Raw. The illustrious Superstar’s role comes just more than one week before the debut of Ventura’s new truTV series, Conspiracy Theory, which airs on Dec. 2 at 10 p.m. ET.

Nov. 30, 2009: Verne Troyer
Best known for playing Mini-Me in the Austin Powers comedy series, Verne Troyer will serve as guest host on Nov. 30 from Baltimore. One of the shortest yet largely recognizable men in the world, the actor has more than 15 years of television experience.

Dec. 7, 2009: Mark Cuban
Instead of humoring the NBA Universe with his infinite antics and making authoritative basketball decisions for one night, Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban will spend time delegating responsibility to WWE Superstars when he hosts Raw on Dec. 7 from Dallas.

Dec. 14, 2009: Dennis Miller
Comedian and radio talk show host Dennis Miller, meanwhile, will serve as the host of the 2009 Slammy Awards during a special three-hour presentation of Raw on Dec. 14 from Corpus Christi, Texas. The five-time Emmy award-winning comic is renowned for his improvisations and acerbic humor about pop culture and politics.

Be sure to tune in every Monday night when the biggest stars from all over the world take over as Raw’s special guest host.

The EVOLVE website has evolved again, this time adding the first two teams to the Official Tag Team

The EVOLVE website has evolved again, this time adding the first two teams to the Official Tag Team Division. The first team is Aeroform, made up of Louis Lyndon and Flip Kendrick. Lyndon and Kendrick have been teaming on the Indy scene for awhile now, with Kendrick also doing some singles work in Jersey All Pro Wrestling where he is a former Light Heavyweight Champion.

The other announced team is full of awesomeness, the CHIKARA trio made up of Mike Quackenbush, Hallowicked, and Jigsaw. Under EVOLVE rules, “A trio can register as a tag team and select two competitors for a match. The trio can also compete in six man tag team matches. All matches between official teams will count towards their record. This means that both regular and six man tag team matches can count towards records.”

EVOLVE 1 will take place January 16, 2010 at the Rahway Rec Center in Rahway, New Jersey. Tickets go on sale @EVOLVEwrestling.com on Monday, November 23rd at 10am EST.
