Als ich heute meine Unterlagen vom Jugendmedienevent durchgekramt habe, ist mir folgendes Video entgegengesprungen. Unser Seminarleiter (Gott.. mein Namensgedächtnis) hat uns dieses Video gezeigt, und ich war erstaunt, wie nah es an der Wirklichkeit sein könnte.

Zuerst wird die Geschichte der Informationspolitik (/der Medien) erzählt. Dieser Teil führt einen in die Wirklichkeit hinein, wie sich die Medien (mit besonderem Blick auf das Internet) bis zur Gegenwart verändert haben. Der Begriff “Prosumer” wird dort ganz groß geschrieben. Aber dann knüpft die Zukunft direkt an die Gegenwart an, ohne einen Schnitt zu machen. Hier verwenden die Macher ein starkes stilistisches Mittel, das die gezeigt Zukunft noch realer erscheinen lässt.

Ich persönlich musste bei dem Blick in die Zukunft an einigen Stellen schmunzeln. Aber ich möchte nicht zu viel verraten.

Ich frage mich: Ist das unsere Apotheose?

¿Realmente sera el futuro que nos predicen?

Casaleggio Associati created two great video productions on the future from the viewpoint of Media and Politics.  These are great representations of the advancements we have already seen and a not so unrealistic look to our future given present trends.

Prometeus – The Media Revolution

Man is God.
He is everywhere, he is anybody, he knows everything.
This is the Prometeus new world.
All started with the Media Revolution, with Internet, at the end of the last century.
Everything related to the old media vanished: Gutenberg, the
copyright, the radio, the television, the publicity.
The old world reacts: more restrictions for the copyright, new laws against non authorized copies. Napster, the music peer to peer company is sued.
At the same time, free internet radio appears;
TIVO, the internet television, allows to avoid publicity; the Wall Street Journal goes on line; Google launches Google news.
Millions of people read daily the biggest on line newspaper. Ohmynews written by thousands of journalists; Flickr becomes the biggest repository in the history of photos, YouTube for movies.
The power of the masses.
A new figure emerges: the prosumer, a producer and a consumer of information. Anyone can be a prosumer.
The news channels become available on Internet.
The blogs become more influential than the old media.
The newspapers are released for free.
Wikipedia is the most complete encyclopedia ever.
In 2007 Life magazine closes.
The NYT sells its television and declares that the future is digital. BBC follows.
In the main cities of the world people are connected for free.
At the corners of the streets totems print pages from blogs and digital magazines.
The virtual worlds are common places on the Internet for millions of people.
A person can have multiple on line identities.
Second Life launches the vocal avatar.
The old media fight back.
A tax is added on any screen; newspapers, radios and televisions are financed by the State; illegal download from the web is punished with years of jail.
Around 2011 the tipping point is reached: the publicity investments are done on the Net. The electronic paper is a mass product: anyone can read anything on plastic paper.
In 2015 newspapers and broadcasting television disappear, digital terrestrial is abandoned, the radio goes on the Internet.
The media arena is less and less populated. Only the Tyrannosaurus Rex survives. The Net includes and unifies all the content. Google buys Microsoft. Amazon buys Yahoo! and become the world universal content leaders with BBC, CNN and CCTV.
The concept of static information – books, articles, images – changes and is transformed into knowledge flow.
The publicity is chosen by the content creators, by the authors and becomes information, comparison, experience.
In 2020 Lawrence Lessig, the author of ‘Free Culture’, is the new US Secretary of Justice and declares the copyright illegal.
Devices that replicate the five senses are available in the virtual worlds. The reality could be replicated in Second Life.
Any one has an Agav (agent-avatar) that finds information, people, places in the virtual worlds.
In 2022 Google launches Prometeus, the Agav standard interface.
Amazon creates Place, a company that replicates reality. You can be on Mars, at the battle of Waterloo, at the Super Bowl as a person. It’s real.
In 2027 Second Life evolves into Spirit. People become who they want.
And share the memory. The experiences. The feelings. Memory selling becomes a normal trading.
In 2050 Prometeus buys Place and Spirit. Virtual life is the biggest market on the planet. Prometeus finances all the space missions to find new worlds for its customers: the terrestrial avatar.
Experience is the new reality.

Gaia – The Future of Politics

Gaia, a New World Order, is born today, the 14 August 2054.

At the beginning of the 21st century the fate of the world is still determined by masonic, religious and financial groups.
130 of the most influential personalities of the world, the Bildeberg group, have a private meeeting every year to discuss the future of the world economy.

Before the Net, communication, knowledge and organization belonged to the power. With the Net they belong to all the people.

1998 MoveOn, a political site, launches a campaign in favour of Bill Clinton with a million emails sent to the Congress of the US

1999 In Seattle thousands of activists protest against WTO thanks to the Internet.

2002 A “coup d’état” in Venezuela fails. Chavez is back as president because of the information diffused on the Internet and via SMS.

2004 Howard Dean, an unknown governor of Vermont, becomes a pretender to the White House. He creates a worldwide network of supporters with the Internet platform MeetUp and communicates with millions of persons through his blog blogforamerica.com

In many States like China, Iran, Malaysia and Singapore the Net is under control.

2007: In Italy, V Day is the biggest political event that has ever been brought together by using the Internet. It’s coordinated through the blog of the famous Italian comedian, Beppe Grillo. Two million people pour out onto the streets to demonstrate in favour of a “clean up” in Parliament.
2008 Obama wins the primary elections against Hilary Clinton. He collects more funds than any other candidate directly from the citizens using the Net

2008 At the Web 2.0 Summit in San Francisco, Al Gore declares that the problems of the world, like the global warming, can be solved only by the cooperative intelligence of the people on the Internet

2018 The World is divided into two main areas. The West with direct democracy and free access to Internet. China, Russia and the Middle East with orwellian dictatorship and controlled access to the Internet

2020. Beginning of the Third world War that lasts 20 years. Destruction of the symbols of the West, Saint Peter’s Square, Notre-Dame de Reims, Sagrada Família.
Use of bacteriological weapons.
Acceleration of climate change and rising of the seas of 12 metres. Starvation.
End of the fossil fuel era.
Reduction of the world population to one billion people.

2040. The West wins. Net democracies triumph

2043. Grassroots movements emerge all over the world to manage local problems related to energy, food, environment, health. The planet is split into thousands of communities linked by the Net

2047. Everyone has his identity in a world social network, created by Google, called Earthlink. To be you must be in Earthlink, or be not. No passport is required anymore.

2050. BrainTrust, a collective social intelligence, allows people to solve complex problems in a matter of days sharing any kind of information and data on line.

2051. A world referendum is held on the Net to abolish the death penalty.

2054. First world elections on the Net. A World Government, called Gaia, is elected. Secret organizations are banned. Every human can become president and control the actions of the government through the Net.

In Gaia, parties, politics, ideologies, religions disappear.
Man is the only owner of his destiny.
Collective knowledge is the new politics.

Olá pessoal.

Vim hoje postar um vídeo muito interessante e que nos faz pensar.

Alguns de vocês já devem ter ouvido falar sobre esse vídeo, que faz uma previa sobre a mídia daqui a alguns anos.

Bem o vídeo esta ai. Se quiser saber a minha opinião clique no link logo abaixo do vídeo.

Bem, eu acho que o vídeo é um tanto “viajante”, principalmente o final que fala sobre as viagens espaciais e a parte que fala do Spirit. Não acho que a Google não venha a comprar varias empresas grandes como diz o video e, porém num mundo capitalista é muito difícil ter um monopólio, apesar de que a Google tem quase isso.

Acho que o melhor do filme, é que ele nos faz pensar no futuro, novas tecnologias e etc…

Essa foi minha humilde opinião, sinta-se livre para discordar/concordar e expressar a sua.

Este vídeo não é tão recente, mas mostra um pouco da realidade em que estamos e pra onde estamos caminhando.

Este podría ser el futuro del Internet

Dois vídeos muito interessantes sobre o futuro.

O primeiro é uma visão futurista que esbarra nos dias de hoje (deve ter sido produzida a uns 5, 6 anos atrás). Impressionantemente várias coisas realmente se concretizaram.

O segundo vídeo é quase a mesma coisa, só que deve ter sido produzida em 2009… O final o vídeo chega  assustar um pouco. Vale muito a pena para imaginar onde podemos chegar.

Antes de publicar la primera historia del Pinguino-Pong, y para preparar un poco más el terreno, quiero compartir con Uds. otro videíto, siguiendo más o menos el formato anticipación del anterior. Los créditos del video corresponden a Casaleggio Associati, una interesante (al menos así lo parece, pues este pingüino, leyendo en italiano, se agota rápido) compañía que estudia la evolución del internet como fenómeno cultural y social.

A pesar que el video data del 2007 y de que hacia el final toma un rumbo Sci-Fi a la Minority Report (eso podría explicar que hayan bautizado a su propio avatar narrador como Phillip Dick), la primera mitad conserva intacta una validez pedagógica que podría ayudarme a ordenar mis ideas.

Especialmente interesante para vuestro humilde comentador (y para entender mejor la historia que contaré mañana, si no me rindo) es el vaticinio cada vez menos descabellado de la abolición del copyright en un futuro no lejano.

Si el dios Prometeo del los griegos nos dio el fuego, que también es luz y por lo tanto el camino al conocimiento, el Prometeo de Casaleggio nos propone el camino de vuelta, es decir convertirnos en dioses, “conocer a todos, estar en todos lados, saberlo todo, serlo todo…”

… y de la forma en que vamos a desarrollar nuestras vidas. Quizás sea demasiado premonitorio, quizás demasiado fantasioso, pero lo cierto es que el video que viene a continuación es, cuanto menos, intrigante y fascinante.

What will happen in the year 2050? Flying cars, renewable energy, end of the global Eco crisis (I hope so!),  lifestyle of the Jetsons?  Who knows..maybe, but what I do know is that we are living during a revolution.  A Media Revolution triggered by the inevitable evolution of the internet.  A new reality experience is upon us as the internet consumes most of our time and prodigious companies like Google plot to take over the world with the birth of Prometeus:

OLD MEDIA VS NEW MEDIA

Old media dies including, the traditional radio, TV and Newspaper, as the growth of  IP based phones and TV increases .  Everything becomes digital.  Digital radio, newspapers and encyclopedias become prevalent (ex. BBC online, Wikipedia, Podcasts).  Old media fights back with bans, restrictions, taxes and lawsuits (ex. ban on Napster) but is overpowered by the Web 2.0 consumer.

The power of the consumer begets Personalization. The consumer becomes the prosumer-both the producer and the consumer.  During the Web 1.0 phase and the birth of Netscape in 1994, consumers were only able to read information. Now with Web 2.0, we can not only read but write information as the customization of social networks and minicoopers online (http://www.miniusa.com) have shown us. But what will Web 3.0 bring?  We will have the ability to read, write and execute data: the usage of search bots to seek out  information at a certain time or place then retrieve that information whenever and wherever we need it.  Sounds good? We’ve seen the tip of the iceberg of personalization through RSS feeds of blogs, online newspapers, etc.

How about plastic replacing paper as digital pamphlets?

Gadgets like the kindle 2 become popular, trees are safe and the EPA throws parties every week.

As consumers, we are living during the Golden Age of convenience and interactive experience .   For the marketer, new opportunities are created  to engage and interact with the consumer on a whole different level. We’ve seen examples with advertisement in social networks or product placement in online virtual reality and console games.

THE SAGA CONTINUES…….

Newer Technology along with the merging of big media companies will bring about new customer experiences and interaction. People would be able to go back in history and live through historical battles or famous sports games.  The consumer would become who they want and share their experiences.

But Charles Darwin’s theory of Evolution once again becomes eminent as Google exercises its Pacman-like behavior in taking over these companies and launching Prometeus-the ultimate consumer experience and interaction empire.

EXPERIENCE IS THE NEW REALITY - We would be able to know what it feels like to be Hugh Hefner, to win the Superbowl or Neil Armstrong when he walked on the moon….or go places without ever leaving the living room….consumers, addicted to new media like it is a drug.  The urge to socialize, interact and simulate our fantasies on this new media phenom becomes a widespread disease.  The Pringles Theory becomes the perfect explanation of our insatiable hunger.

But what will become of us? Will the controller (consumers) become the controlled? Is google..

Would we subdue to a life of endless virtual reality to the point where reality becomes obsolete?…Remember the Matrix!

Ma risale ad un anno fa. Dice le stesse cose. Identiche.

E vi dirò di più. Quando parla di “un mondo com’era prima, meno spinto e meno fanatizzato dal dogma del mercato” e di “un mondo all’incontrario in cui il superfluo costa più del necessario” mi ha ricordato molto Beppe Grillo di qualche tempo fa.

I paradossi che utilizzano per descrivere la realtà sono gli stessi.
Tremonti sappiamo perché li usa. Sappiamo dove vuole arrivare.
E Grillo?
Dove vuole arrivare lui non lo so.
