Psalm 91

He is my refuge and my fortress; my God in Him I will trust. Psalm 91:2

In his book The Fisherman and His Friends, Louis Albert banks tells of two men who were assigned to stand watch on a ship out of sea. During the night the waves from a raging storm washed one of them overboard. The sailor who drowned had been in the most sheltered place, while the one who survived was more exposed to the elements. What made the difference? The man who was lost had nothing to hold on to.

What a picture of the way some people are affected by the trials of life! When life is peaceful, they seem very self-sufficient, but when the going gets rough they are swept off their feet. Because they have refused God’s help and have nothing to hold on to, they are easily overwhelmed.

Christians who cling to the Lord, however, can weather the fiercest storms of adversity. They are often heard to say, “I don’t know what I would do without the Lord.” They know that the heavenly Father is always with them to strengthen, guard, and protect them.

Yes, Christians do have Someone they can rely on in every circumstance of life. Every Christian can say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in Him I will trust.” —rwd

He cannot fail, your faithful God, He’ll guard you with His mighty power; then fear no ill, though troubles rise, His help is sure from hour to hour. —hgb

God has not promised to keep us from life’s storms, but to keep us through them.

Hebrews 12:13-15 (Message)

Work at getting along with each other and with God. Otherwise you’ll never get so much as a glimpse of God. Make sure no one gets left out of God’s generosity. Keep a sharp eye out for weeds of bitter discontent. A thistle or two gone to seed can ruin a whole garden in no time. Watch out for the Esau syndrome: trading away God’s lifelong gift in order to satisfy a short-term appetite. You well know how Esau later regretted that impulsive act and wanted God’s blessing—but by then it was too late, tears or no tears.

There is a lifetime between man and God that is to be filled with moment after moment. How this time is spent will dramatically affect the process of preparation for the Kingdom of God? Time is different there as are God’s priorities. Once a person becomes saved, their hunger and appetites change based on the promise of God concerning their life and purpose. Suddenly those things that once satisfied or numbed the longings are just not enough. Consecrated lifestyles separate man from the worldly comforts that once temporarily satisfied the carnal desires. Now all of that seems insufficient. These new longings can only be filled by that which is found in the Presence of God but will never be satisfied with a discontent heart. When God is at work it often appears as though, He is not working at all because His Ways are different from the world’s way. Therefore it is a challenge to maintain faith when taken to the very edge of possibility, dangerously close to failure and beyond the help offered by others or one’s own hands. It is the release of all self-control and total reliance on the ability of God. It is at this extreme where one may experience the temptation to abandon the pathway set before them by the Lord and take the easy way out. Those who remain on course with a content heart will meet God!

Successful advertising is the key to commercial success and the promotion of company products and services nationwide. The more exposure a company receives the more their product sells and the higher the profit. The corporation that is able to make their product a household name that is coveted by many, directly benefits the establishment. Once we are saved, God begins to show us the greatness of His Purpose designed for us and suddenly we become discontent with the things around us. His Plan is to woo us into a consecrated life of service to Jesus that we may experience the incredible blessings of His Kingdom. Our selfish need for immediate gratification, however, will almost inevitably lead us to make impulsive decisions if our heart is not satisfied in the Lord. God is looking for sanctified lives with righteous standards to make His Dwelling Place and to prosper. He will exalt those who are able to separate themselves from self-promotion and invest in long term commitment to Kingdom Goals. One tiny seed of discontentment can completely derail a journey to the Promise of God. A sanctified life is marked by a peaceful heart that is content to be productive and conducive to spiritual blessing. Those who remain in right standing with God will begin to prosper and be vessels of abundant overflow. No need for religious lifestyles but simply maintaining the right position to obtain and redirect God’s Blessing!

Psalm 65:4 (Amplified)

Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) is the man whom You choose and cause to come near, that he may dwell in Your courts! We shall be satisfied with the goodness of Your house, Your holy temple.

On those days when you feel frustrated that God is taking too long or maybe your blessing seems just out of reach, close your eyes and open your heart. Those who God calls to be sanctified and set apart for His Use are truly happy, fortunate and to be envied. However, when discontentment settles over our eyes, we fail to see the Hand of God at work. The weeds it produces choke out all spiritual growth and allow doubt to cover the pathway to victory. Inspect your heart today and ask the Holy Spirit if discontentment has crept in. It is easy to spot as it is marked by bitterness, envy, jealously and pettiness that steals from the beautiful courts of God’s Dwelling Place – your heart! Ask the Lord to reveal those bitter seeds of discouragement that are threatening the exponential growth and unhindered freedom that is yours!

A factor that is driving the trend towards automating the sales department is the extent to which speed has become a strategic advantage in the selling process. Once, it was acceptable for salespeople to promise to get back to customers with answers to questions. Increasingly, those salespeople are finding that by the time they get back to their customers with the necessary information, the sales opportunity has evaporated. The ability to respond to customers quickly is crucial to success, and the tolerances are narrower than ever before.

Similarly, the ability to compress the sales order cycle is becoming an extremely significant factor in a competitive situation. Your customers, who are under the same competitive pressures as you, are placing more and more emphasis on increased cash flow and reduced inventories. Reducing your sales order cycle from four days to two can make an important and measurable difference, certainly enough of a difference to determine whether or not you get the order.

Jeremiah 33:14-16

The first Sunday in Advent is one of the days on the Church calendar that I feel the most connection with, but the reason for this is also at the core of one of my recurring struggles. I can identify with the feeling of longing for the Lord’s salvation. I can imagine myself waiting with Israel for God’s promised deliverance.

The trouble is, as a Christian, I’m not sure what to think of this. Yeah, I know all the scholarly rhetoric about the “already” and the “not yet” of Christian salvation, and it maps fantastically well to my experience of life. Even so, it’s a thorn in the flesh of my faith (allusion to 2 Corinthians 12:7 intended).

So that’s where I come to the first reading for this Sunday, Jeremiah 33:14-16.

“The days are surely coming, says the Lord, when I will fulfill the promise I made to the house of Israel and the house of Judah.”

OK, so I have a pretty solid idea of what that must have meant to Jeremiah’s Jewish audience, and I have a firm grip on what it has traditionally meant to Christians. But how do those to mix? Are these days still to come, or have they already come? The Branch has sprung up. He executed justice and righteousness in the land. Yet, we’re still waiting, and certainly Judah is still waiting.

And what about “the house of Israel and the house of Judah”? I really can’t stomach the millennialist/tribulationist understanding of what God has in mind for Israel, mostly because it makes the last 2000 years of Israel’s spiritually journey irrelevant. Frankly, I have the same objection to what Paul seems to be saying on this subject in Romans 11. On the other hand, if traditional Christianity has another answer at all here, I don’t know what it is.

Quoiqu’un peu tardivement, nous vous rappelons que la dernière séance du mois est associative (ticket de collection, quatre pages et intervenant).

Jeudi 26 novembre à 20h00

nous vous proposons

Nulle part terre promise (2009, France) d’Emmanuel Finkiel.

The promise for the future spiritual blessings of our children does not depend on whether or not they have been baptized or dedicated as babies. God has made a special covenant with the par-ents who earnestly seek the Lord and turn from all transgression.

Revelation 3:10-12 (Message)

“Because you kept my Word in passionate patience, I’ll keep you safe in the time of testing that will be here soon, and all over the earth, every man, woman, and child put to the test. I’m on my way; I’ll be there soon. Keep a tight grip on what you have so no one distracts you and steals your crown. I’ll make each conqueror a pillar in the sanctuary of my God, a permanent position of honor. Then I’ll write names on you, the pillars: the Name of my God, the Name of God’s City—the new Jerusalem coming down out of Heaven—and my new Name.”

The time of the return of Jesus Christ may be sooner than we think as prophecy daily is fulfilled with astonishing clarity. Cunning coincidence or clear revelation it is a time filled with great testing and trials for God’s Children to hope tight to their faith in the midst of great uncertainty. The world daily offers situations and circumstances designed to make an evil exchange of Jesus-based faith for enemy-derived fear. There is a spiritual struggle not to hang on to the faith woven in salvation and grown through painstaking perseverance. No one knows the day or hour of our Lord’s return. Yet there are things that God has given us in careful preparation for that day and then there are those unsuitable notions that the enemy has attempted to smuggle into our Spirit! Those who are able to “keep a tight grip” on what God has given us and avoid the distractions of the thief who wants to steal everything that is good are those who will be richly rewarded for their passionate patience.

Newborns arrive with the distinct ability to tightly grasp anything placed in their tiny palm. As they begin to grow, this grip reflex intensifies as their little human minds develop selfish wills refuse to release that which they covet. Unknowingly a baby will firmly grab things that are dangerous as their ability to discern such has not developed yet through knowledge and experience. Once they decide they want something, a child will simply refuse to let go. This often results in a struggle between worried parent and willful child to wrestle away the unwise choice. When born again, a person gains access to a peaceful and purposeful life. With a secure future and constant provision, there really is nothing to worry or be anxious for yet in our immaturity we choose to hold tightly to fear rather than release it to obtain the faith and the benefits found in a life based on it! The intense innate need to hold tightly to something has creating a generation motivated by fear and God is calling His Generation, His “Temple Pillars” to release their hold on fear and doubt and get a “tight grip” on faith-generated living that calls us to persevere, praise and pray under pressure. Those who can see beyond the order of the day to the Ordination of the New Jerusalem understanding the current state of affairs is no reflection on the future plan and promise of the Savior.

2 Timothy 1:7 (NLT)

For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.

God has not given His Children the “gift” of fear so it is not something that we should readily hold on to. God has given us power, love and self-discipline. It is these things we should grab hold of with great passion and patience. Self-control allows us to choose that which we hold on to in life whether it is overwhelming faith or undermining fear is totally up to you. The Lord has called us to keep a tight grip on the reality of the spiritual realm and its impact not only on today but the future. Release those things that call you to doubt God and all that He has promised you! Jesus is offering power to the powerlessness, love to the unlovable and self-discipline to the undisciplined. What an offer? Three key characteristics for productive powerful living in exchange for completely worthless notions define the constant giving of our Savior. The Lord has plenty of good things for His Children to hang on to today! Release doubt and begin to take hold of all your Father has for you!

The daily, steamed appraisal waiting for
Porcelain and promise –
That I can show the plum-drum ritual of how
I think we all think of ourselves, and our lives
So well described on forearms and
Four legs.

I’d like to be remembered, at all times –
And is that selfish?
I want my eyes and cheeks longed after,
Put left-side along the brain where the gray flesh can
Exponentially warm it’s overlapping, flapping…
Flittering recollections of how I think I
Remember you.

But we don’t talk long enough to furnace
These thoughts, or have them
At all – but instead – and this is where my bruised skull
Has versed, traversed and gone reverse –
What we do instead: is nothing.

Scripture: Jeremiah 33:14-16 The days are surely coming, says the Lord, when I will fulfill the prom

Scripture: Jeremiah 33:14-16

The days are surely coming, says the Lord, when I will fulfill the promise I made to the house of Israel and the house of Judah. In those days and at that time I will cause a righteous Branch to spring up for David; and he shall execute justice and righteousness in the land. In those days Judah will be saved and Jerusalem will live in safety. And this is the name by which it will be called: “The Lord is our righteousness.”

Context

The prophet Jeremiah came from Anathoth, a village in the tribal territory of Benjamin. This tribe was located to the north of Judah, the southern kingdom.

Jeremiah was a descendant of Abiathar, one of the chief priests of King David. Jeremiah was active as a prophet in the late seventh and early seventh centuries B.C.E. Before the Babylonian Exile of 587 B.C.E., Jeremiah typically spoke oracles of judgment. After the exile, he spoke of hope.

Jeremiah’s words of hope in 33:14-16 promise the restoration of the royal line of David and the priesthood. While they have specific historical application, they also offer hope to persons in all kinds of desperate situations.

Reflection Questions

Is it harder to believe words of hope than words of judgment?

How do we know whom to believe? whom to trust?

Do we live more often by hope or by judgment?

Prayer

Lord, help us hear–and believe–your word of hope especially when our circumstances are anything but hopeful. Amen.

THE TRUMPET by Bill Burns — November 23, 2009:

The Lord says to you today, have you heard My Word? Have you heard My exhortation? Rise up My people. Gather yourselves up and dig for the waters of this season. Dig for the anointing that you have lost. Dig new wells of great and strong anointing, for indeed the anointing will bring the glory and the presence of My kingdom upon your life. Dig and drink. Sing to the well. Dig and drink. Dig and do not stop. Are you thirsty? Then dig. Are you thirsty? Then take a drink. For you will find that there is a river of life that flows through My kingdom where trees are planted. Therein lies the mystery and the secret of the promise of My living water. So I say today let all dryness be gone. You have walked through the valley of the shadow of death; you have walked through the wilderness; you have walked through the dry places, but now you are coming to the place of living water where springs bubble up out of the depth of My kingdom. Therefore, I say unto you, dig and drink. As you drink, life will again enter in to your temple. As you drink, wellness will again come. As you drink the powers of darkness will leave. As you drink the glory of the kingdom will manifest in you, and you will become strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. So, I say, drink. It is the season for the digging of the wells in the pattern and the type of those that Abraham, Isaac and Jacob dug. Use your faith as a shovel and dig and drink, says the Lord.

SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by Marsha Burns — Nov. 23, 2009:

Beloved, refuse to allow the voice of the enemy to bring discouragement and keep you from fulfilling your destiny in Me, says the Lord. I have called and chosen you to manifest My kingdom in this time and in this generation. You live in a critical age where darkness abounds, but My grace and truth abound even more. I will empower you to do the impossible, because with Me all things are possible. Only believe!

Matthew 19:26 But Jesus looked at them and said to them, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

One may have awakened to the sound of the alarm going off at 3:00 AM. One went into a different bathroom. One began to confess one’s sins. After one finished, one may have read the Spirit of Prophecy Bulletin. One may have thought that the messages were powerful.

One may have Grabbed one’s Bible, book and chair and went back into one’s chosen place to worship this morning.

One may have sung songs of praise, prayed for the sick and spoke in tongues. One may have asked the Lord to lead one to passages of scripture. One may have been led to a passage in Isaiah, one may not remember where. One may have been led to Zephaniah 1 and Luke 8:48.

One just sat there afterwards waiting for one’s time to be over. One may have felt discouraged. One may have many reasons to be overjoyed, yet one may have been worrying about situations and circumstances. One may have prayed. Thank you Jesus, one may believe it’s already answered, in Jesus’ name.

One may have left one’s pryer closet and logged onto the website and prayed for outstanding prayer requests.

Barefoot Running and Forefoot Strike seem to be the key words for runners in 2009. At this time we are seeing more and more Brands launching and promoting shoes that promise to improve your running style, either by creating a barefoot feeling or by promoting midfoot and forefoot strike.

Why Barefoot?

We know how shock absorption during the walking and running gait works: you land on your heel and roll your foot on the ground up to the forefoot, where your foot lifts off. During this motion your arch collapses (pronates), absorbing the shock caused by your body weight.

An objection that has been raised that since men run on Earth in prehistory, they have been doing so barefoot – with a body engineered just to do that. Barefoot running supporters claim that modern running shoes promote an excessive heel strike, leading to poor running form and even more injuries in the long run.

Unfortunately our running landscape has dramatically changed since prehistory – and we run on concrete and gravel much more than we do on grass or ground. We still need shoes to run safe and comfortable. A few sports companies are coming up with shoes that promise to improve our running form.

We have a look today at three: the Newton Running, the Nike Free and the New Balance 800.

Newton Running

Newton is a relatively new running shoe company founded by a team of runners in Boulder, Colorado. The principle they based their shoes upon is simple: for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction, and it applies to the principle of running – by applying a force to the ground, the ground applies an equal and opposite force on your foot, propelling you up and forward.

Newton Running developed a whole range of shoes that encourages running on your midfoot/forefoot, a technique and position that helps keep you running more efficiently, injury-free and faster. They refer to this style of running as a Land Lever Lift scenario.

Nike Free

Nike started talking about the advantages of Barefoot Running back in 2005, when they first released the Nike Free running shoe. According to Nike, cushioning and support are needed in order to avoid injuries but, at the same time, all the cushioning and support that modern running shoes provide are making our foot’s muscles lazy. Therefore the Free is created as a training shoe, with which to run a limited number of miles amid your normal running schedule in order to specially train the muscles that are not activated while running with normal running shoes.

New Balance 800

New Balance developed its 800 model with the principles of ChiRunning in mind. ChiRunning is a method of running instruction developed by Danny Dreyer, an American Ultramarathon runner and Tai Chi practitioner. Its primary focus is to teach runners to move in a more efficient, natural way (sounds familiar?).

Without entering too much into detail, one of the principles of ChiRunning is midfoot strike as opposed to heel strike. The NB MR800 was designed in order to provide the maximum benefit for runners who strike with their midfoot.

Do they work?

Both these shoes divide runners into two groups: the ones who use them and swear by the improvements they achieved, and the skeptical ones. We tend to agree that running is not only about pounding mile after mile week after week (even though this is the essence of running training). Running form is extremely important both in preventing injuries and help us run longer, or faster. Now it is too early to say if the barefoot running movement will prevail over the current “heel cushioned” market. We believe time, and miles, will tell.

If done correctly, building your opt-in list can be profitable for your online business and the best

If done correctly, building your opt-in list can be profitable for your online business and the best use of your time. There are quite literally dozens of free and low cost how-to manuals available on the Internet for building an opt-in list and generating traffic for your website go to www.build-own-list.com. However, there are also hundreds of unscrupulous marketers eager to get in your wallet, rob you blind and leave you with empty promises. This article will present 3 free yet highly-profitable opt-in list building methods you should master before purchasing over-priced push-button tools or traffic.

Then, you rent a targeted opt-in list of subscribers or start an expensive pay-per-click campaign and start pushing traffic to your website. After a few days of marketing have gone by, you sorely come to realize that the only thing you’re left with are empty pockets and zero opt-ins!

So what could have gone wrong?

How is it that others have succeeded where you’ve failed? The most common mistake is that you dove in with both feet first.
In other words, you have to accept the mistakes that others would be interested in learning based on the purchase or your product or service in your interest! This could not be further from the truth. Just because you rented a targeted opt-in list or buy pay-per-click ads, does not mean they will opt-in or buy something from you immediately.

If yoo’re someone who has attempted to build an opt-in list, have had some success but would like to revive your list, keep reading. On the other hand, if you’re new to opt-in list building but want to learn how to build a profitable and responsive opt-in list fast, here are three quick and easy ways for you to do just that.

1) Get your customers to trust you and your products first.

Two of the easiest ways to start generating traffic for your website, building your opt-in list and your credibility is by writing articles and participating in related forums.

Writing and distributing well-written articles will allow you to establish credibility with your readers and pre-sell your wares. Participating in forums related to your interests will aid you in developing products or services your fellow forum members might be interested in buying.

Understand that people aren’t going to buy something from you based on your recommendation alone if they don’t know you. So when you’ve gotten a few articles under your belt and participated in helping people solve problems in forums related to your topic of interest, then expect to receive traffic for your website, subscribers to your opt-in list and sales.

2) Find a product or service that people want and need.

If your traffic and opt-in list is beginning to write and grow sales and articles in relevant forums, the next step to products or services that people find and need. Make sure to choose products and services to your newly acquired information from the forums and from which you gathered from your existing opt-in list of participants.

3) Make friends with other opt-in list builders.

This especially holds true if it’s someone who has already launched a successful opt-in list. These are people who have the experience in opt-in list building and experience is still the best teacher. Go to www.freelist-pro.com while there are countless articles and e-books available on the subject of opt-in list building online, there is nothing like getting a first hand account from someone you trust.

Experienced opt-in list builders will be able to tell you what to do and what not to do because they have gone through it. Even though most experienced opt-in list builders have a different slant on how to build a targeted and responsive opt-in list, you can almost always learn something new from their triumphs and failures and then take advantage of their experiences.

Building a profitable and responsive opt-in list doesn’t just happen overnight. There’s a lot of preparation and effort involved. Opt-in lists are built from scratch, as your list grows, Therefore, you must take time to maintain the quality of your list. Keep it organized and manageable and if necessary, hire someone else to do all of this for you. Just remember that happy subscribers will someday become buying customers if you follow these 3 simple steps.

Keith Gloucestershire are the two best-selling electronics in generating traffic, lead generation and selection of books on the list of construction disciplines. His latest work "11 days to opt-in list of the profit!" Is a lint-free, comprehensive, step by step 11-part report will teach you how to become self-sufficient traffic and potential customer lists, and select the building is sufficient.

Lord, at a time when one out of six children in the United States live in poverty, and over 30% of US children are projected to live in poverty at some point in their lives, please bless our children. Bless those who live in the projects and tenements of our cities and the more than 50% who live outside of major cities in trailers, in cars, and in substandard housing. Bless and help the parents who struggle to feed them and to find them shelter. Bless the volunteers who fill weekend backpacks, donate clothes and food, and provide mentoring and friendship to children in need. As our children grow, help them stay in school, find funds for the education they need, get jobs, and develop the habits that will allow them to be financially self-sufficient. Do not let the sins of this generation imperil their future. Give all of our children hope, and save them, O Lord.

I think I finally understand Schrodinger’s cat. In a non-quantum physics sort of way.

We keep wanting to talk about the baby, to plan for the baby, to rearrange our finances for the baby, and so forth.

But there isn’t a baby. There’s something else right now — or, at least, the promise of something else. The growth of something else. A blastocyst. Then an embryo. A fetus. And then…a baby?

The possibility of what it isn’t, though, is the haunting part. I mean, I think we can rule out a hysterical pregnancy. Missus keeps fretting about an ectopic pregnancy, which is scary but also unlikely. Miscarriage is another scary word. So is premature. And so forth.

We are somewhere new, though, because of something new. Some hormones, some symptoms, pee on a stick, otherwise-unexplained nausea. All in orbit around an unnamed thing — or, rather, a thing we can’t name yet. Or can’t bear to name yet. Or can’t bear yet to name and lose…or never have had.

It twists the mind, just like Schrodinger’s cat, though a lot, lot larger than a quark. And getting larger by the day. (Hopefully.)

Ephesians 3:17-19
“17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, 19 and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. “

Love that far surpasses what we can understand.
This is a true beauty. We are to live in a fact that surpasses our limitations.
There are very distinct differences between living in a fact, in limitations and living in a fact that surpasses our limitations.
Faith has the power to breakthrough, has the power to surpass limitations, it makes us live not only under our limitations, but to see things surpassing our limitations, any possibilities in which we’ve been bounded by our experiences.
We always say: “According to what we know, this and that is hard, it’s difficult, it can’t be done, there’s no way for it”
Why let your limitations be your God, the limit of your faith?
We’re not the slave of history, we’re slave for God.
We should see the possibility under God’s plan, God’s leading, God’s promise and God’s power.
This is a spirit that will cause revival and reformation in churches.
Experience is precious, but it’s much less precious than God’s promise.

The fragrance of love

The possibilities

The longing

The hope of us

It’s more than flowers and candles

It’s love mixed with honesty

The look of forever in your eyes

Of you holding me

That becomes my brand of romance.

“Go out and stand before me on the mountain,” the Lord told him. And as Elijah stood there, the Lord passed by, and a mighty windstorm hit the mountain. It was such a terrible blast that the rocks were torn loose, but the Lord was not in the wind. After the wind there was an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake. And after the earthquake there was a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire. And after the fire there was the sound of a gentle whisper. When Elijah heard it, he wrapped his face in his cloak and went out and stood at the entrance of the cave. And a voice said, “What are you doing here, Elijah?”

Everyone has an opinion. Even those people who choose not to openly share their thoughts and convictions concerning life have them. It is not uncommon for others to freely share their experience and knowledge to aid a friend, acquaintance, and sometimes even an absolute stranger in making it through a challenging circumstance. God’s most solid Christians have moments of uncertainty when the outside counsel of others seem appropriate only to create thunderous roars of endless banter. The storm that is created in one’s mind dulls all reasonable thinking as anxiety and fear rise up from the enemy. The endless chatter rattles the mind until a proverbial earthquake effect is created shattering all that was once firmly grounded as truth. The burning fire of man’s inspection and dissection of life created by the tinder of a sin-based assessment threatens to overtake the controlled-burning of the Holy Spirit. The question even becomes unclear in the dust and rubble of doubt. Hiding away in hopes of disappearing, you hear it. It’s different from the other voices. It is quiet and still. The gentleness breaks your heart in a new way as the comforting peace of God sweeps over you! It’s Him, It’s the Lord! He hasn’t forgotten you! He has just been waiting on His Turn to be heard! Are you listening?

Elijah was on a “mountaintop” of ministry when he suddenly found himself hiding from his enemies in a cave. How did that happen? His head reeling with the warnings of the people, his faith was now completely buried in the rubble of the words of others. All well meaning, yet not necessarily accurate in assessment! It was true that there were threats against his life. Elijah and the prophets were making headway for God. But in these warnings, fear and doubt was harbored and now this mighty man of God was cowering in a cave high on a mountain. In his solitude, God came forward to be heard. He asked His Child, “What are you doing here, Elijah?” See God didn’t tell him to go there, to hide and to relent. God did not tell him to be scared and retreat. The Lord never once introduced the notion of death to Elijah. But the enemy did through the words of others. My friend, the enemy of your soul is using the same tactics today that he did that day in the life of Elijah. God’s promise for you is alive and well. The Truth that your God spoke directly into your heart is not subject to the opinion of others. His purpose is clear in your mind because it is in the care of the Holy Spirit until the time of readiness. Others will not understand no matter how inclined they may be to think so. Your greatest purpose is revealed in one-on-one communication with God. Don’t let the words of others steal your victory today! God is whispering to you! Forget the noise! He is peaceful and sweet in His Great Love for you and will not add to the pressure but dismiss it completely!

Ezekiel 3:22-23 (NLT)

Then the Lord took hold of me and said, “Get up and go out into the valley, and I will speak to you there.” So I got up and went, and there I saw the glory of the Lord, just as I had seen in my first vision by the Kebar River. And I fell face down on the ground.

Is God calling you to the valley today? If it has become impossible to think in the midst of clamoring opinions, rattling insights, and pounding pressure, it is definitely time to turn off the noise and listen for your Father! The Lord will speak directly to you concerning any and every situation if you will just separate yourself from the noise. His Voice is quiet and peaceful and His Words are truth! They will make your path straight and open His Kingdom to you right now, right here. When you do this, you will see the Glory of God! Your answer will be clear and certain! Peace will be yours! Purpose fulfilled and Promises revealed! Listen, Jesus is calling you to the valley. He wants to speak to you today!
