<p>In his book <span style="text-decoration:underline;">The Fisherman and His Friends</span>, Louis Albert banks tells of two men who were assigned to stand watch on a ship out of sea. During the night the waves from a raging storm washed one of them overboard. The sailor who drowned had been in the most sheltered place, while the one who survived was more exposed to the elements. What made the difference? The man who was lost had nothing to hold on to.</p>
<p>What a picture of the way some people are affected by the trials of life! When life is peaceful, they seem very self-sufficient, but when the going gets rough they are swept off their feet. Because they have refused God&#8217;s help and have nothing to hold on to, they are easily overwhelmed.</p>
<p>Christians who cling to the Lord, however, can weather the fiercest storms of adversity. They are often heard to say, &#8220;I don&#8217;t know what I would do without the Lord.&#8221; They know that the heavenly Father is always with them to strengthen, guard, and protect them.</p>
<p>Yes, Christians do have Someone they can rely on in every circumstance of life. Every Christian can say of the Lord, &#8220;He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in Him I will trust.&#8221; —rwd</p>

<title><![CDATA[10 Smart Ways to Protect Your Computer against Viruses]]></title>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class='snap_preview'><p> Virus infection on your computer may cause very serious damage and even loss on your business. You can imagine, it can your system registry or your entire computer Wreck (with all of your exposures, data on them!) Or all your HTML programs! It is a total black screen, it will not start at all. But this is actually the worst scenario that can happen. Do you want to wait for this worse scenario in your life happen? I do not believe it? </p>
<p> Here are the 10 smart ways toI personally do to my computer from viruses, spyware and dialers. </p>
<p> (1) If you are using Windows XP, always on the firewall. </p>
<p> (2) Always carry all the necessary latest updates and service packs (all windows too, all your programs and software! &#8212; Always updated) hold </p>
<p> (3) Run your anti-virus program everyday (some do it every week) There are many virus programs that you get for scanning. </p>
<p> (4) Run your anti-spyware/adaware run once a week (I SpybotSearch &#38; Destroy and Lavasoft Adware staff &#8212; they are shareware, which means it is free!). What I do is that I understand the Lavasoft Adware first run, then run Spybot Search and Destroy (I also run it with immunize &#34;)&#34; tool. These two tools are always up on my desktop for easy access. </p>
<p> (5) Turn off your pop-up blocker &#8211; this feature in Windows XP is available (you will see this under Tools&#62; Internet Options can click&#62; Privacy&#62; How to Block Pop Ups. In addition, I also have another pop-up -downloadBlockers on the Google Toolbar. I think the pop-up blocker effective in blocking pop-ups. </p>
<p> (6) Never open mails to you or not, you are aware of suspicious. If it in your bulk mail, send it back to your provider as &#34;spam&#34;! I never get my bulk mail. I automatically delete emails from my bulk mail. </p>
<p> (7) When using messenger (IM) services, very careful with files sent via instant messaging. Instead, choose whether to send an e-mail to you. Most e-mailServices now has virus check and clears it if the file has virus or not. </p>
<p> (8) Be very careful when downloading files or programs from the Internet, pay attention to the instructions, while it is downloaded. Download times can error on the system registry or the entire computer system (an example of cause, has my nephew&#39;s computer with viruses bad because of heavy downloading games and music! &#8211; My guess is infected!) </p>
<p> (9) Be with files from a floppy or you will carefullyall other external media, if you open it in your CD-ROM from the floppy drive. They should know their origins, or even better, if you insert, they open scanned with your anti-virus program before installing the files. </p>
<p> (10) Run defragmentation, disk clean up, registry scanner at least once a week. You can defragmentation by simply pointing your mouse to find the C: drive (usually the main hard drive logical drive)&#62; right click with the mouse&#62; click Properties&#62; click Tools&#62; click on defragmentnow! </p>
<p> There are so many shareware on the Internet, you can receive free! (this is the reason, it is a shareware!). Keep your computer healthy, productive, you can (if you&#39;re a business!) Or it is more about surfing and surfing the web! </p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class='snap_preview'><p>When Jesse was about ten months old, I had the honour of being invited to see the premier of the Northern Province to discuss some business. It was a fabulous opportunity to prove myself and earn some much need money. Polokwane is a three hour drive from our home and my colleagues and I decided to drive there together.</p>
<p>Although I knew that JW had been out drinking the previous night, I left Jesse asleep in the cot next to him. I should have known better, but I honestly thought at some level that JW would wake up and care for him. I made Jesse a bottle and put it in the warmer and left JW&#8217;s mobile next to him on the pillow.</p>
<p>At about nine o&#8217;clock, we stopped for a break and I called JW to make sure that Jesse was OK. I was worried because he had been out late and he can be difficult to wake in the morning. Obviously I didn&#8217;t want my companions to realise that I was married to an inconsiderate drunk who put alcohol and having a good time ahead of his family, so I stood at some distance from the car getting more and more frantic as I called JW to no avail, he didn&#8217;t answer his phone.</p>
<p>I has visions of poor Jesse standing up in his cot with a streaming wet nappy, starving hungry and bellowing his poor little heart out because he couldn&#8217;t wake his Daddy up.</p>
<p>Eventually out of desperation I phoned JW&#8217;s brother Danny because he has a spare key to our house, and persuaded him to go around and check.</p>
<p>It was as bad as I&#8217;d feared. JW was passed out on the bed, snoring and Jesse was shrieking as loudly as his little lungs would let him, his red face was tear streaked, he was hiccuping and distraught.</p>
<p>I was in a car with my colleagues and I was helpless, I couldn&#8217;t get back although I was desperate to reach and comfort my little boy. My heart was broken and I was close to tears, I couldn&#8217;t protect him against his daddy&#8217;s neglect.</p>

<description><![CDATA[The accident involving Senator James Rhoades, Mr. Senavitis and Yamila Yafar was on October 17, 2008]]></description>
<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class='snap_preview'><p>The accident involving Senator James Rhoades, Mr. Senavitis and Yamila Yafar was on October 17, 2008 at around 6:30pm which was a Friday evening on SR 209 a heavily traveled 2 lane roadway with a small bridge in front of the Beachwood Inn, a bar and grill. </p>
<p>In the Fern Ridge State Police Crash Report signed and sworn to by Trooper Officer Jason Beers is states for all three units involved &#8220;Trailing Units NONE&#8221;.   Yet one of the witnesses they have who claimes to be able to see whose tires crossed the yellow lines and whose did not was two car behind Senator James Rhoades. </p>
<p>There are also several other witnesses whom spoke up about is and quickly changed to they don&#8217;t want to get involved, this is what subpoenaes are for. </p>
<p>In news articles they state that the Chef of the Beechwood Inn heard the crash, told the owner there was a serious accident out front and them along with the parton in the Beechwood Inn were stuck there while rescue and removal was done and that they saw and watched what was going on.   They are all ovbious witnesses to the resting spot of the vehicles and where the truck was moved to for rescue of Mrs. Edith Rhoades to the double yellow lines.</p>
<p>Although the Crash Reports states no trailing units they have a witness traveling northbound 2 cars behind Senator James Rhoades.  </p>
<p>Those who  know this stretch of roadway know how busy it is and on a Friday at 6:30 pm in the evening there obviously were alot of vehicles trailing behind all Units being witness to the accident itself and the final resting spot of the vehicles before they were moved. </p>
<p>I know if this happened to you, you would want people to come forward.  It seems people these days just don&#8217;t want to get involved but for truth and justice should in any case no matter how big or small, how little you think the information you have is, it all helps in the end. </p>
<p>Stand together and don&#8217;t let others hang for something they shouldn&#8217;t.  GOD BLESS ALL</p>

<p>Norton AntiVirus is the world&#8217;s best-selling security program. However, its performance has been scrutinized over the years &#8211; especially from those in the tech community. Symantec began to address these performance concerns with their 2009 version last year &#8211; let&#8217;s see if this trend continues with Norton AntiVirus 2010&#8230;<br />
<strong>1) Installation: (4.5 of 5)</strong></p>
<p><em>Norton AntiVirus 2010</em> quickly installs in only <strong>54 seconds</strong> and requires no system reboots. With its <em>Download Manager</em> and <em>Installation Wizard</em>, Norton is now one of the easiest Anti Virus programs to install. Long gone are the days when Norton used to take 20+ minutes to install and required multiple reboots to install (4-5 years ago).</p>
<p><strong>2) Features &#38; Ease of Use: (4.5) </strong></p>
<p>Norton 2010&#8217;s user-interface has a similar look &#38; feel to last year&#8217;s version. However, it builds upon previous versions with several new features such as <strong>Norton Download Insight</strong> and <strong>Norton File Insight</strong> which warn of dangerous downloads and files which may be threats.<br />
<strong>Norton System Insight</strong> offers details of your computer&#8217;s resource usage so its performance can be improved. While Norton&#8217;s scheduler automatically delays updates, scans and other tasks until your computer is idle &#8211; this idle time usage should make Norton Antivirus 2010 even<br />
less noticeable to users than it was before.</p>

<p>Also new this year, laptop battery life is conserved by delaying many tasks until the laptop<br />
is once again plugged in. On top of this are the many graphs and reports that Norton 2010 has added this year &#8211; allowing it to better inform its users of their computer&#8217;s performance than previous<br />
versions did. In many ways Norton has moved closer to the feel of <a href="http://send.onenetworkdirect.net/z/5858/CD128681/">Kaspersky Antivirus</a> with its abundance of charts and graphs that clearly show users<br />
their computer&#8217;s performance in an easily understood visual format. Overall, a great improvement to Norton&#8217;s feature-set this year.</p>

<p>Norton has 3 scanning options: <strong>Quick Scan</strong>, <strong>Full System Scan</strong>, and <strong>Custom Scan</strong>. On our test computer with 70GB of used space on its hard-drive it took Norton 2010 just<br />
27 seconds to perform its <em>Quick Scan</em>, while the Full System Scan took <strong>42 minutes</strong> making it one of the fastest virus scanners on the market.</p>
<p>New scanning technologies this year include <strong>Norton Insight Network</strong> (based on <em>Quorum</em> technology) and <strong>SONAR 2</strong> (<em>Symantec Online Network for<br />
Advanced Response</em>). These features are designed to detect whether a file is trustworthy or not based on behavioral and cloud-based data. This should result in<br />
Norton being better able to identify files as being trustworthy or untrustworthy that would have previously fallen into the grey/unknown category. Only time will<br />
tell how these new features perform.</p>
<p><em>Updates:</em></p>
<p>New last year (Norton 2009) was Norton&#8217;s new <strong>Pulse Update</strong> feature that automatically downloads new <em>Virus Definitions</em><br />
every <strong>6 minutes</strong> on average (over 200 updates per day). This new feature gives you the most up-to-date protection of any antivirus program available &#8211; over<br />
10 times more updates than its nearest competitor.</p>
<p><strong>3b) Performance Testing: (4.5 of 5)</strong></p>
<p>Last year marked the beginning of a new era for Norton, as they finally began to take the <em>performance</em> of their Antivirus software seriously. View the results below of the Antivirus tests we performed this year to see how well the 2010 version of Norton fared against its competition&#8230;</p>

<p>Norton AntiVirus is the world&#8217;s best-selling security program. However, its performance has been scrutinized over the years &#8211; especially from those in the tech community. Symantec began to address these performance concerns with their 2009 version last year &#8211; let&#8217;s see if this trend continues with Norton AntiVirus 2010&#8230;<br />
<strong>1) Installation: (4.5 of 5)</strong></p>
<p><em>Norton AntiVirus 2010</em> quickly installs in only <strong>54 seconds</strong> and requires no system reboots. With its <em>Download Manager</em> and <em>Installation Wizard</em>, Norton is now one of the easiest Anti Virus programs to install. Long gone are the days when Norton used to take 20+ minutes to install and required multiple reboots to install (4-5 years ago).</p>
<p><strong>2) Features &#38; Ease of Use: (4.5) </strong></p>
<p>Norton 2010&#8217;s user-interface has a similar look &#38; feel to last year&#8217;s version. However, it builds upon previous versions with several new features such as <strong>Norton Download Insight</strong> and <strong>Norton File Insight</strong> which warn of dangerous downloads and files which may be threats.<br />
<strong>Norton System Insight</strong> offers details of your computer&#8217;s resource usage so its performance can be improved. While Norton&#8217;s scheduler automatically delays updates, scans and other tasks until your computer is idle &#8211; this idle time usage should make Norton Antivirus 2010 even<br />
less noticeable to users than it was before.</p>

<p>Also new this year, laptop battery life is conserved by delaying many tasks until the laptop<br />
is once again plugged in. On top of this are the many graphs and reports that Norton 2010 has added this year &#8211; allowing it to better inform its users of their computer&#8217;s performance than previous<br />
versions did. In many ways Norton has moved closer to the feel of <a href="http://send.onenetworkdirect.net/z/5858/CD128681/">Kaspersky Antivirus</a> with its abundance of charts and graphs that clearly show users<br />
their computer&#8217;s performance in an easily understood visual format. Overall, a great improvement to Norton&#8217;s feature-set this year.</p>

<p>Norton has 3 scanning options: <strong>Quick Scan</strong>, <strong>Full System Scan</strong>, and <strong>Custom Scan</strong>. On our test computer with 70GB of used space on its hard-drive it took Norton 2010 just<br />
27 seconds to perform its <em>Quick Scan</em>, while the Full System Scan took <strong>42 minutes</strong> making it one of the fastest virus scanners on the market.</p>
<p>New scanning technologies this year include <strong>Norton Insight Network</strong> (based on <em>Quorum</em> technology) and <strong>SONAR 2</strong> (<em>Symantec Online Network for<br />
Advanced Response</em>). These features are designed to detect whether a file is trustworthy or not based on behavioral and cloud-based data. This should result in<br />
Norton being better able to identify files as being trustworthy or untrustworthy that would have previously fallen into the grey/unknown category. Only time will<br />
tell how these new features perform.</p>
<p><em>Updates:</em></p>
<p>New last year (Norton 2009) was Norton&#8217;s new <strong>Pulse Update</strong> feature that automatically downloads new <em>Virus Definitions</em><br />
every <strong>6 minutes</strong> on average (over 200 updates per day). This new feature gives you the most up-to-date protection of any antivirus program available &#8211; over<br />
10 times more updates than its nearest competitor.</p>

You may have heard or read this before, but they are worth repeating: <br /> • The FBI reports a burglary occurs every 15 seconds. <br /> • Only about 13% of all reported burglaries are vacated and the police rarely catch the thief red-handed. <br /> • A house without a security system is 2 to 3 times more likely to be burglarized. <br /> •90% of police believe monitored alarms at home helps to detect intrusion attempts. <br /> • More than 1.3 million home invasions occurred in 2004. <br /> • 61.4% of all burglaries involve forcible entry, and occurring more than half (62%) are in daylight. <br /> • The value of the property was stolen during a break-in 2004, an estimated 3.5 billion U.S. dollars. <br /> GENERAL INFORMATION: </p>
<p> So do what? Basically, it depends on the sending of the bad-guys in your neighbor&#39;s housebecause your house is too hard to get in too. Not impossible, just harder. She wants him to show you the bestArticle? What happens when the phone rings while you spread your proud X all together? Is your mother-in-law is a spinner? Your friend falls in love with the wrong person? And so it goes. If you think about it for a while, you could certainly come with you own list of dubious visitors. <br /> If any of these people were in a single item from the back of the bottom drawer to take, how long would it take before you are to notice it was missing to be? A lock for a cabinet can be easily defeated with nothing more then a big screwdriver and a hammer you through the glass or plastic can make a display case, but it will make noise and there is no doubt that thePerpetrators to steal, not borrow &#34;. Might be enough to keep your things where you think belongs. <br /> Furthermore, we assume that it is valuable only in your head, your spouse has some doubts about this fact. Lock it up, and it is clear that there is&#8211;BY-GOD valuable. Most of the things I have been a barrier. Wall and floor safes for the home come in every shape and size. Tile and painted wood or concrete stairs can be slippery when wet or when a person&#8217;s shoes are wet. Resurface the treads with slip-resistant strips near the stair nosing.</p>
<p>All stairs of at least three risers should have a handrail.</p>
<p>Do not store items on the stairs.</p>
<p><strong>Have a heating professional check your heating system every year.</strong><br />
Woodburning stove connector pipes and chimneys should be inspected by a certified chimney sweep at least annually.<br />
<strong><br />
Protect your home from frozen pipes.</strong><br />
An average of a quarter-million families have their homes ruined and their lives disrupted each winter, all because of water pipes that freeze and burst.<br />
And recovering from frozen pipes is not as simple as calling a plumber. An eighth-inch (three millimeter) crack in a pipe can spew up to 250 gallons (946 liters) of water a day. Both plastic (PVC) and copper pipes can burst.<br />
By taking a few simple precautions, you can save yourself the mess, money and aggravation frozen pipes cause.</p>
<p>Before the cold hits<br />
Insulate pipes in your home&#8217;s crawl spaces and attic. These exposed pipes are most susceptible to freezing. Remember &#8211; the more insulation you use, the better protected your pipes will be.<br />
Heat tape or thermostatically-controlled heat cables can be used to wrap pipes. Be sure to use products approved by an independent testing organization, such as Underwriters Laboratories Inc., and only for the use intended (exterior or interior). Closely follow all manufacturers&#8217; installation and operation instructions.<br />
Seal leaks that allow cold air inside near where pipes are located. Look for air leaks around electrical wiring, dryer vents and pipes. Use caulk or insulation to keep the cold out and the heat in. With severe cold, even a tiny opening can let in enough cold air to cause a pipe to freeze.<br />
Disconnect garden hoses and, if practical, use an indoor valve to shut off and drain water from pipes leading to outside faucets. This reduces the chance of freezing in the short span of pipe just inside the house.</p>
<p>When the mercury drops<br />
A trickle of hot and cold water might be all it takes to keep your pipes from freezing. Let warm water drip overnight, preferably from a faucet on an outside wall.<br />
Open cabinet doors to allow heat to get to uninsulated pipes under sinks and appliances near exterior walls.</p>
<p>Before you go away<br />
Set the thermostat in your house no lower than 55°F (12°C).<br />
Ask a friend or neighbor to check your house daily to make sure it&#8217;s warm enough to prevent freezing or<br />
Shut off and drain the water system. Be aware that if you have a fire protection sprinkler system in your house, it will be deactivated when you shut off the water.</p>
<p>If your pipes freeze<br />
Don&#8217;t take chances. If you turn on your faucets and nothing comes out, leave the faucets turned on and call a plumber. If you detect that your water pipes have frozen and burst, turn off the water at the main shut-off valve in the house; leave the water faucets turned on. (Make sure everyone in your family knows where the water shut-off valve is and how to open and close it.)<br />
Never try to thaw a pipe with a torch or other open flame. Water damage is preferable to burning down your house. You may be able to thaw a frozen pipe with the warm air from a hair dryer. Start by warming the pipe as close to the faucet as possible, working toward the coldest section of pipe. Do not use electrical appliances in areas of standing water because you could be electrocuted.</p>
<p><strong>Replace your furnace filter.</strong><br />
Furnace filters need to be replaced frequently to allow your heating and cooling systems to operate properly.</p>
<p><strong>Run all gas-powered lawn equipment until the fuel tank is empty.</strong><br />
By doing this, you are removing flammable liquid storage from your garage. At the same time, make sure you aren&#8217;t storing dirty, oily rags in a pile. They can ignite spontaneously.</p>
<p><strong>Have a certified chimney sweep inspect and clean the flues and check your fireplace damper.</strong><br />
Soot and creosote, which build up inside the chimney, can ignite when a fire is lit in the fireplace.</p>
<p><strong>Remove bird nests from chimney flues and outdoor electrical fixtures.</strong><br />
Bird nests on top of light fixtures are a fire hazard. Bird nests in chimney flues can prevent a proper venting of combustion gases and can catch fire from sparks. You should exercise great caution when working on your roof or consider hiring a qualified professional to take care of any work that needs to be done.</p>
<p><strong>Inspect and clean dust from the covers of your smoke and carbon monoxide alarms</strong>.<br />

Check glazing for loose or missing putty or glazing compound. This will also help reduce water damage to the windows and door frames.</p>

<p>Do you know that the reason people find themselves discouraged these days is because of their thought life?  Most people are thinking on things that have been told to them according to the world teachings or what they see or hear rather than God’s truths.  They are concerned over life, family, health, government…present and future.  It is hard for them to believe that life will rebound, that things will get better, that the future is good and wonderful plans have been created for them.</p>
<p>But, that is exactly what God wants you to know!</p>
<p>He wants you to be encouraged to believe that He desires good things for you.  Good plans are ahead, health will increase, your needs will be met, He will protect you and your family.  Why?  Because He loves you very much!</p>
<p>God is a God of encouragement.  He desires you to live encouraged.  However, the only way I have found to live encouraged is through His Word.  I must read His Word to know the truth about my life and future.  His Word gives me the hope and encouragement I need to live.  His Word will enable you to live encouraged.  His promises will always sustain you and will always encourage you!</p>
<p><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">ENCOURAGEMENT</span></strong>:  God wants you to be encouraged!  He tells you to think on good things!</p>
<p>Be conscious of what you allow your mind to think on.  Quickly dismiss thoughts that will discourage you.  Align your mind to the wonderful thoughts of what the Word of God says about you and your life.  God wants you to live encouraged!</p>

<p>The skin care regimens for men are aimed at educating men, not only of the benefits gained in having younger healthier looking skin but also of the health benefits as well.</p>
<p>Not only is a man&#8217;s skin 20% thicker and firmer than most women&#8217;s skin due to extra collagen and elastin found in their skin but it also tends to be more oily with larger pores which tend to collect sweat and dirt more readily. Add to this the dehydration caused through daily shaving and this can have a serious affect on the skin.</p>
<p>In order to avoid dehydration, skin problems and the early signs of aging such as wrinkles, good skin care is vital.</p>
<p>Besides just washing your face, your pores need to be cleaned out which will help keep the oils down and help prevent acne.</p>
<p>Also needed for skin care is a good cleanser specially formulated for your skin type is the best way rather than a bar of soap which can be made of harsh chemical that as well as clean also strip your skin of vital oils and have a scouring effect as will alcohol based after shave products.</p>
<p>Using a swivel-head razor rather than a disposable razor is a good habit to get into.</p>
<p>Next on the list for men&#8217;s skin care is a moisturizer, again using one that is made for your skin type will rejuvenate your skin. Many men with oily or trouble skin are afraid to use moisturizer but the right one will not cause you any problems for your skin.</p>
<p>What you are replacing into your skin is moisture, not oil. At this point it is appropriate to mention that most men&#8217;s skin care ranges are formulated especially for men which means no &#8220;girly&#8221; fragrances.</p>
<p>One much overlooked part of men&#8217;s skin care is sunscreen. You wouldn&#8217;t go for a day at the beach or a picnic with applying sunscreen. Yet your face is exposed to the sun and the other elements every day, apart from the drying effects of the sun, research has shown that skin cancer on the face is increasingly common.</p>
<p>So the skin care program should include protecting your most exposed parts of your body, your face and hands with at least a 15+ SPF sunscreen is something that should become as automatic as shaving.</p>
<p>Many moisturizers now have is built in sunscreens or alternatively, you can use any brand of sunscreen with the required level of protection, remembering to reapply at regular intervals.</p>
