Protesters disrupt Gore book-signing event in Chicago

Justin Mangano, from Australia, was beaming after Al Gore signed his book Tuesday when his star-struck moment was interrupted by a protester being hauled out of the Borders bookstore in the Chicago Loop.

Gore was at the book store promoting the just released “Our Choice: A Plan to Solve the Climate Crisis.” Fans were there to get his autograph and opponents came to challenge his message. Members of the group, We Are Change, were the most outspoken of Gore’s naysayers at the former vice president’s appearance at 150 N. State St. Gore’s security guards escorted the protesters from the store.

The We Are Change group contends that Gore’s message of global warming is a hoax, that he is a puppet of a new world order and that he is propagating a eugenics program.

The group claims it is “a citizens based grassroots peace and social justice movement working to reveal the truth behind the events of September 11th, as well as the lies of the government and corporate elite who remain suspect in this crime.”

“We need to wake up to this now, or it’s going to be too late. They want to tax the air we breathe and the meat we eat,” said activist Saad Ali, one of about 30 protesters at the event. ‘There are 30,000 scientists trying to sue this bum,” he screamed as he was escorted from the building.

But Gore’s fans weren’t interested in what the protesters were shouting.

Monika Hinterman, who got Gore to sign her book, said she was impressed that he was paying so much attention to climate change.

Just like “Barack Obama is BLAAAACK” is a lie. He’s so not. Of course Monika was impressed he’s paying so much attention to climate change. Teen fiction literature is one of today’s hot topics. He’s been busy writing these fictional books and making up fraudulent evidence… it takes a lot of work to fool this many people. Well, actually it doesn’t. It takes a lot of work to educate the libtards on the TRUTH.

“I think he’s trying to make people more aware of the issues that have gone unnoticed for too long,” Hinterman said.

Some who came to meet Gore at the book signing said that while they support free speech, the event was not the best place for a protest.

“If you have a point of view, put some facts and figures to it. Express yourself with support behind it,” said Sabolch Horvat, who carried a signed copy of the book under his arm.

Nicole Lynch bought the book to make up her mind about the science that the protesters questioned. She said she approves of his efforts to get people to take better care of the planet.

“I’m not saying he’s perfect, and I would call him out if I knew he screwed up,” Lynch said. “I’m not afraid to speak my mind.”

Today was hard.

I’ve been on a semi-hiatus for a while, due to oversleeping, being out of town, and feeling the need for a bit of a break. But I managed to get my butt out of bed this morning, and I’m glad I did.

We had 6 escorts this morning, and not very many protesters, but the 10 or 15 that were there were pushy and horrible (what else is new though, right?).

Towards the end of the morning, a woman walked up, crying. Her support person was nearby, and Angela ran over. Angela evidently knows this woman, and also really loves targeting people of color. Angela was freaking out, trying to push through our circle of escorts, screaming that she knew the woman and that the woman wanted to talk to her. But the woman was crying so hard she could barely walk, let alone answer any questions about whether or not she actually did want to talk to Angela.

Then something kind of amazing happened. As we escorts were making really slow progress towards the door, an inch at a time, several people that were already inside of the clinic (and I’m not clear if they were with the woman coming in or not, but I believe at least one person was with another client) came outside. They held the woman’s arms and walked her up to the property line, pulling through Angela and Donna and all of the other really excited protesters. They created a space for her to make it up to the property, and really did what we try to do as escorts. It was so amazing to see that. Angela was still yelling, and Brady was losing it, but the client made it through the gauntlet, past the harassment of a supposed friend.

I’ve never cried at clinic, or ever even come close. That was one thing I was really concerned about when I first started going (and before I ever went that was a big concern, that I would just break down and be a mess), because sometimes I just get weepy. TV shows can make me cry, seeing other people cry can make me cry, and sometimes I just need a good cry to let go of some stored up shit. But nothing at the clinic has ever made me so sad. It’s also the first time I’ve seen some very even tempered escorts really get upset. It’s hard not to just want to get violent and angry and sad when a woman, so upset and crying so hard she can’t talk or walk, is being SCREAMED at by a “friend,” by someone who “cares,” not to mention strangers who can’t mind their own business.

This is a time that people really need support, and love, and a friend to tell them that they will be ok, that they are making the right choice because it’s what they are choosing for themselves based on their situation. Angela doesn’t know what’s going on with this woman, whether she had an unwanted pregnancy or had a very wanted but nonviable pregnancy. And screaming “I know you talked to ____ from our church last night, she told you I’d be here and she was right! Don’t do this, NO!” is not support. It’s not coming from a place of love, understanding, respect. Or even a place of basic common decency.

Days like today, I really hate how ugly religion can make some people. It’s hard not to be completely bitter towards religion, which is a shame because for so many people it manifests in a very beautiful way. But all I can see on mornings like this one is how hideous and hateful religion can be.

So for this morning at least, I’m going to re-focus my attention to the friends and partners and support people who go in with clients. They set aside their own beliefs and are there to support a friend. And sometimes that’s what it takes to be a good friend – shutting up about your shit and what you feel is best and standing beside someone when they need you. Thank you thank you thank you support people. You make me feel better about the universe.

The 6th of june was the first day of the G8 meeting, and the day most of the participant arrived.
The idea of the demonstrators was to block the roads to the two gates of the fence around Heiligendamm. The goal of the police was to prevent this.
There was a 2 km red zone around the fence, heavely patroled, that was forbidden to anyone wihtout a proper accreditation.
When the march started from the Reddelich camp, the protesters were quickly stop by a first police blockade.
What the police hadn’t thought about is that the demonstrators immediately went into the woods.
5000 people went through the woods and fields.
Meeting on a hill, they splitted into five groups, each marching in a different direction, bringing total chaos in the police organization.
The first group arrived soon after to the east entrance of the fence, quickly joined by the others.
The police force was at that moment on that spot of around 20 men. Who couldn"t stop 5000 people arriving.
They soon got reinforcement, but a bit of panic was visible in the first minutes.
Cops told us later that they were there on a break, thinking it would be a quiet location. Nobody told them the demonstrators were heading their way. It was quite a surprise to suddenly see 5000 people appear and marching on them.
The entire day went quite peacefully (water-canons where used at another location to clean a blockade). Some of the Black Block guys just destroyed a fence.

As the G8 will be meeting in Heiligendamm from the 6th until the 8th of June, protestors gather in Rostock and cities around, organizing demonstrations.

Jag har fått in finfina rutiner för att träna på lunchen. Hela 2-3 gånger i veckan kommer jag upp i. Varierade pass, som BodyPump, CorePuls och Kinesis. Så nu skulle man ju kunna tro att detta är lunchutmaningen. Nejnej. Lunchutmaningen kom idag när H skulle träna. För då skulle jag hänga med Stella.

Idel mysigt kan man tänka. Så tänkte jag också till en början. Jag har glömt ett och annat…

Jag tog sikte på ett par av de ställen som ligger närmast jobbet och som är av lugnare art. Resultat = Inga barnstolar (eller alla upptagna). Till slut hade jag en vrålhungrig tjej i vagnen och sprang med smått hysterisk blick runt för att komma på något annat ställe. Vi hamnade på min favorit Café Bolero. Love it.
Inte någon riktig höjdare med barn dock. Iallafall inte på tu man hand med ett barn.

Fast vi hade enormt mysigt när vi väl kommit i ordning. Såhär med facit i hand lugnet före stormen. Stella och mamms, tjejlunch. Stella käkade. Spanade, mös. Flirtade med mig och med alla runtomkring. Var helt tyst för en gångs skull – troligtvis tagen av det högljudda kaoset runt omkring. Jag var riktigt stolt över min duktiga lunchtjej. Och konstaterade att vi faktiskt satt längre och lunchade än sällskapet bredvid oss som bestod av två vuxna tjejer och ingen mer. Kvalitetslunch mor-dotter sådär.

Sen skulle vi gå. Stella fick syn på sin vagn och föll frustande ihop på backen. Jag lyfte upp henne, och försökte sätta henne i vagnen. Hon ålade och gallskrek. Jag satte ned henne på golvet istället för att gå ut. Då hade hennes ben förvandlats till spaghetti-dito. Åter igen hade jag ett frustande barn på golvet. Till slut lyckades vi ta oss ut. Stella gormade huuuur länge som helst. Vanligtvis kan protesterna i vagnen handla om en halvminut – framför allt när hon är så övertrött som nu – men idag fanns ingen hejd. Näe, varför vara sitt vanliga jag när man kan vara sitt sämsta jag, på Drottninggatan?

Till slut gav jag upp. Hon fick upp och leka, trots att hon borde somnat för 1½ timme sedan och var helt slut.

Kolla vad bra det blev. Man skulle kunna lura folk med denna bild, och tro att detta är ett glatt barn som leker nöjd.

Inte ett som sekunden innan fallit ihop i en gråtande hög efter att ena vanten inte gick på tillräckligt snabbt. Eller för att asfalten var för knottrig, för slät, för lutande, för rak. Typ. Och tittar man noga så ser man att hennes ögon ser ut som såna där som hålls uppe med hjälp av tändstickor. Vilt uppspärrade, fast egentligen inte mer öppna än som en liten springa.
Med tanke på hennes uppenbart övertrötta jag gjorde jag lite nya, kreativa försök på vagnen. Barnmisshandel, skulle folk runt omkring kunna tro, med tanke på resultatet…

Till slut letade jag i desperation efter någon form av avledning under vagnen (läs: välling). Hittade en liten juice med sugrör. Det fick funka. Och tro’t eller ej, men hon blev tyst!
Sen att jag tycker att det är den värsta sorten – en MAT-MUTA – är ju en annan grej. Ibland så…

Jag uppskattar dagens åtgång på kalorier till samma som under ett CorePuls-pass. Fast stressnivån något högre. Tur att jag en stund senare fick gå in till kontorets lugn för en kaffe framför datorn…

Men jag tar gärna en ny lunchutmaning nästa vecka. Mor-dotter-lunch, fatta vad mysigt!

I made a tribute to some of the dudes that come out to tell women what they should and shouldn’t do with their bodies. It’s an interesting phenomenon. This video is more for entertainment value than anything else, using a lot of footage I’ve taken and a lot of pictures I’ve taken.

I would like to point out that while some of the male bodied/male presenting people that come out can be really horrendous and pushy and entitled, many lady protesters are worse. So don’t take this to mean that it’s all dudely dudes that come out, or that they are the worst (I think that Donna, Angela, Mary, other Mary, Pregnant Lady, etc all support the statement that female identified protesters are pretty awful). But it’s strange because none of these dudes have had a pregnancy scare (maybe their partners have had scares, but they’ve never had to pee on the stick and wait those long minutes to try and find out what’s up). They’ve never had to honestly take a step back and think “This is a decision I have to make for my own life – what is honestly the best option for me?” Maybe they’ve decided that for other pregnant people in their lives, but you get my point.

Anyways, it’s such an obvious, basic issue, but who are they to say what’s right for women? And, lets take the gender out of this and get at the biggie: what right does ANYone, male or female, have to evaluate someone else’s situation and make the “best” choice for another person?

So, without further ado, my tribute to the kind of men that are probably not very good in bed (because really, I don’t imagine that men who don’t respect women are very good at sex, respecting their partners needs, etc.):

After a somewhat strange Saturday last week, today seemed pretty boring, all things considered.

Mary was pushy. Brady was loud and tall. Angela and Soapbox preacher weren’t there so it was kind of quiet. Officer Harper was great as usual (I think he’s getting really fed up with Mary). The guy who stands near the door and says “PLEASE DON’T KILL YOUR LITTLE BABY” was creepy and aggressive (and threatened to push me). It was all kind of same old same old. One new addition to the chaos is lit candles near the statue of the big V (virgin Mary). Potential hazard, right? It’s getting chilly out, which means hats and scarves and stuff. Or I guess we could just stand by the candles for warmth…

So, because I don’t have a lot of interesting stories or anything from this week, I’ll take the opportunity to post a video that I edited a long while ago but haven’t gotten around to posting. It’s a compilation of clips that I’ve taken or that have been taken by other escorts at EMW. I feel like it makes things seem really intense – which can be true. But please, if you are a potential client or escort, DON’T let this scare you off! This is the worst of the worst, the craziest of the crazies. Things can be intense, but this is some of the more intense stuff all edited into a few minutes.

It’s a shocking scene that wouldn’t have looked out of place on the streets of Nazi Germany or Maoist China in humanity’s darkest historical period – a protester is shoved into an unmarked car by military thugs and driven away to whatever Godforsaken fate awaits him. And yet this is America in 2009, where the First Amendment is now officially a criminal offense and people who dare exercise it are attacked and abducted by military police in broad daylight.

The video shows an unmarked gold Sedan drive up to a side street near Baum Ave & S Millvale Ave. in Pittsburgh. Men in military fatigues wrestle with the protester as other men in cammo exit the vehicle. The protester is shoved forcefully into the car as the military thugs follow him in and the car speeds away.

Protesters scream “what the fuck is wrong with you” as the Sedan disappears into a cloud of tear gas.

In another You Tube clip, the man with the red bandana seen protesting as the other man is abducted is subsequently arrested by riot cops, presumably merely for voicing his displeasure at the disgraceful scenes he witnessed.

“Some guy just got chased down and thrown in a car for no reason,” states the camerawoman before the shot focuses in on the man with the red bandana, who is being manhandled and arrested by three riot cops.

“Why are you doing that, what did he do?” asks the woman.

Other protesters chant “let him go” as media photographers attempt to find out his name. The clip finishes with a another burst of the sound cannon being used against demonstrators.

Another You Tube clip features the image that is re-posted at the top of this story and asks people to try and identify the military police and riot cops who kidnapped the demonstrator.

These videos require no more explanation, they speak for themselves.

Riot cops and military personnel driving around in unmarked cars kidnapping American citizens off the streets for the crime of exercising their First Amendment.

There can be no more debate, America as we knew it is officially dead and buried. The U.S. is more of a police state than Communist China. The only free speech that still exists is on the Internet, in the form of You Tube videos that remind us of what we already knew – the whole country has been hijacked and looted by a criminal gang of globalists who are using their cadre of enforcer thugs to crush any form of opposition to their agenda.

Our only hope is that when the world witnesses scenes like this, it will act as a wake-up call and prevent the planet from sliding once again into tyranny. Only the most deluded and brainwashed individual can now deny the threat that faces us all when police and military show such contempt for the Constitution that they swore an oath to protect and defend.

The person in this video is very pregnant, 38 ish weeks to be more specific. And she seems to be under the impression that by throwing her big belly around she is going to change people’s minds. In the same way it is not ok to use your children as a means of shaming a person seeking an abortion, it is not ok to use your pregnant self as a political tool either.

This anti really does not like having her picture taken. You will remember her as the protester who told a client that had miscarried that she was lying. Saturday, right after I took this video I offered her a great deal: if she will leave clients alone when they ask her to, I will quit videoing her when she asks me too. It seems a fair offer to me but she refused. But I will be true to my word. Any time she backs completely off from a client who refuses her advances, I will respect her right and not video her as soon as she says the word. Until then, it is on.

Editor’s note: No doubt the following incident will be grist for Chris Matthews’ mill later this evening. Chris will ask if the man was a racist and his guests will chime in that he is indeed a racist, even though the man’s remonstration was about government mandated health care (Obamacare at gunpoint) and abortion.

At a health care rally at a Maryland university, a protester began shouting, prompting boos and President Obama to pause. The man apparently yelled “Obama you’re a liar. Obama, your health care kills children. Abortion is murder.”

The man was promptly removed by police, much to the joy of rabidly cheering Obamanoids, who feverishly demanded the man be carted off for having the temerity to challenge Der Fuhrer.

Watch as the guy is being led up the stairs, an Obamanoid stood on the left spits on him but the cop sees it and carts him off too.

It was my second weekday at clinic, and weekdays (the one’s that I’ve been around for) have a much different atmosphere.

There were three escorts (myself included) and about 7 or 8 protesters, give or take a few – 2 chasers (Donna and an older dude who may be a painter or something?) and a few prayers, plus some who kind of chased but mostly played it cool. No cops.

It was really different in that usually on a Saturday morning there’s enough going on that you aren’t so up close and personal with just one or two protesters.

This morning I used tactics I would normally use (putting myself in-between the chasers and the clients/support people), but they were a lot less effective without a larger group of escorts.  So I found myself mostly just talking with clients/support people and walking along side them, not really effectively blocking Donna from touching or talking to people. It was frustrating, but better than being very aggressive, in my opinion.

Also because of the weekday dynamic, you have to deal with the same protesters over and over again. You can’t block Mary for a few minutes, then hang out with Donna, and then stand in front of Angela, and in between all of that talk to different escorts to dilute the whole thing. You’re dealing with the same couple of people for a few hours. Yikes.

But, to look on the bright side, you also get to know some awesome escorts a bit better, because you have more time with them, too, and are able to chat more than you would on a Saturday.

One cool thing that happened today was that a person came and spoke with us – they had been a client a while back, and wanted to get our stance on why we escort. Most of the clients were in by then, so we got the chance to have a nice conversation with someone who was pretty passionate about their beliefs. Eventually we said “You know, you’d be a great escort!” and it sounded like she was considering it. It was nice to get a fresh perspective on the stuff that goes on outside the clinic.

I’m going to go back to bed.
