<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class='snap_preview'><p><strong>El LHC está en movimiento desde hace unos días, pero, ¿sabemos cómo funciona?, ¿sabemos qué es lo que hacen los científicos con él?</strong>. Para eso os dejamos un pequeño vídeo explicativo, en español, que comenta las fases que siguen las partículas desde que salen de una bombona de hidrógeno hasta que se provoca el choque entre ellas.</p>
<p>Aunque pueda parecer que los más de 27km de radio que tiene el LHC son demasiados, no es en vano dicho tamaño. De hecho<strong> los protones llegan realmente acelerados, casi a la velocidad de la luz cuando entran en el gran cilíndro</strong>. El vídeo es realmente didáctico y sencillo de entender, por ello os animamos a verlo.</p>
<p>Para abrir boca os dejamos las fases por las que pasan las partículas de hidrógeno desde su comienzo, hasta la simulación del Big Bang con el choque de dos partículas a prácticamente la velocidad de la luz:</p>

<p> Now living in Perth Western Australia McRae recently returned to his native Perth shire in Scotland to race the Proton Satria Neo to its best ever result.</p>
<p> Only seven days earlier McRae almost won a place on the podium in the Rally of China in a similar Satria Neo S2000.</p>
<p> McRae has been impressed with the  Mellors Elliott Motorsport Proton Satria Neo S2000 and would like to compete in more Rallies with the car in 2010.</p>
<p> The Satria Neo S2000 made its first appearance on the IRC in June this year at the Belgium Ypres Rally and has been quick to show off its potential.</p>

<p> Chris Mellors is the team principal and he confirmed that a full IRC campaign as well as the Asia Pacific series is being prepared for 2010.</p>
<p> &#8220;We&#8217;re looking at a four-car program for 2010 &#8211; two in the IRC and two in the FIA Asia-Pacific Championship,&#8221; he said.</p>
<p> &#8220;Alister has driven for us in the Asia-Pacific series this year and until this weekend that was what we were planning for 2010 as well, but I know he&#8217;s enjoying this weekend a great deal so it could be interesting sorting that out.&#8221;</p>
<p> McRae was pleased to record Proton&#8217;s first podium finish in the IRC.</p>
<p> &#8220;The Proton chassis is one of the best I have ever driven&#8221;.</p>
<p> &#8220;Yes we&#8217;re doing the full IRC next year. We are looking forward to coming back and fighting these guys again,&#8221; Alister said.</p>
<p> &#8220;Kris Meeke (rally winner) has christened me &#8216;old safe hands&#8217; but I can assure you these old hands were working far quicker than the brain!&#8221; McRae added.</p>
<p> McRae&#8217;s father was very proud, he himself being a five times British rally champion, Jimmy McRae, has been working with organisers of the inaugural Rally of Scotland and was extremely proud of his son&#8217;s return from Australia and joked : &#8220;He&#8217;s still a McRae!&#8221;</p>

<p> The Proton Super 2000 has a two litre engine that is based on the 1.8 litre engine from the Waja model and produces 210kW at 7600rpm, its usable power band is from 5,500 to 8,500rpm and uses a six speed sequential Xtrac 4WD transmission.</p>
<p> The car has been fitted with an innovative quick-change fuel control cassette that includes all fuel pumps, filters and valves. This is attached to the safety fuel cell and helps with quick maintenance.</p>
<p> Ventilated discs with alloy four pot calipers combined with the Neo&#8217;s low weight of 1150kg gives it excellent braking performance. The size of the ventilated discs can be changed, depending on the size of the wheels used. 15 inch wheels are used on gravel and 18 inch on tarmac, the calipers remain the same only the discs are changed.</p>
<p> The suspension setup can be fine tuned for any surface with a variety of anti-roll bars available for both front and back.</p>
<p> Resulting in a car with technical advances that are simple to use with the best combination of performance and reliability.</p>

<p>Ketika mesin ini secara penuh beroperasi, magnet-magnetnya akan mengontrol berkas proton-proton dan mengirimnya pada arah yang berlawanan melalui dua tabung pararel seukuran selang pemadam kebakaran.</p>
<p>Dalam ruang seukuran katedral setinggi 300 kaki (100 meter) di bawah perbatasan Swiss dan Perancis, magnet-magnet akan memaksanya masuk ke dalam detektor yang sangat besar untuk merekam reaksi-reaksinya</p>
<p>Satu tujuannya adalah untuk membongkar misteri Big Bang yang merupakan teori para ilmuwan untuk menjelaskan penciptaan jagad raya milyaran tahun lalu.</p>
<p>Pengaktifan kembali Large Hadron Collider disambut sebagai suatu lompatan ke depan yang signifikan dalam usaha untuk meluncurkan eksperimen-eksperimen baru – mungkin Januari – dalam penciptaan materi dan jagad raya.</p>
<p>Mesin ini mengalami kerusakan berat karena suatu kesalahan elekrikal sederhana pada September tahun lalu.</p>
<p>Para fisikawan nuklir yang bekerja dalam bidang ini dikejutkan oleh betapa cepatnya mereka mendapatkan sinar proton yang mendengung melewati saluran sirkuler sepanjang 27 kilometer di bawah tanah</p>
<p>“Semuanya terjadi pada tengah malam. Mereka bergerak dengan sangat cepat,” kata James Gillies, juru bicara European Organization for Nuclear Research (singkatan Prancis: CERN)</p>
<p>Segala hal berjalan dengan sangat baik malam itu dimana para ilmuwan mencapai operasi tujuh jam lebih awal dari yang diharapkan, katanya. beberapa ilmuwan telah pulang pada Jum’at malam itu dan dipanggil kembali ketika proyek tersebut menunjukkan kemajuan yang mengejutkan, tambah Gillies.</p>
<p>Pujian dari para ilmuwan di seluruh dunia berdatangan dengan cepat.</p>
<p>“Saya ucapkan selamat kepada para ilmuwan dan insinyur yang telah bekerja untuk mendapatkan back up LHC dan dapat dijalankan lagi.</p>
<p>CERN memutuskan menguji semua peralatan pelindung ketika masih ada suatu sinar proton berintensitas sangat rendah bersirkulasi di dalam collider. Tes ini akan memakan waktu 10 hari, kata Gillies.</p>
<p>Dia mengatakan, CERN memutuskan menguji kemampuan collider dengan segera untuk meningkatkan kecepatan berkas-berkas proton ke energi yang lebih tinggi atau untuk memulai dengan tabrakan berenergi rendah yang akan membantu para ilmuwan mengkalibrasi peralatan deteksinya.</p>
<p>Sementara, CERN menggunakan sekitar 2.000 magnet superkonduktor – beberapa darinya panjangnya 15 meter – untuk memperbaiki kontrol terhadap berkas-berkas milyaran proton sehingga mereka akan tetap terikat dengan ketat dan tetap menjaga kebersihan peralatan yang sensitif.</p>
<p>Kemajuan pada jum’at malam itu merupakan suatu langkah penting di jalur penemuan para ilmuwan di Large Hadron Collideryang diharapkan pada tahun 2010.</p>
<p>“Kami masih mempunyai beberapa cara untuk jalan sebelum fisikawan dapat memulai, tetapi dengan tonggak bersejarah ini kami telah berada di jalur yang tepat,”  kata CERN Director General Rolf Heuer.</p>
<p>Dengan keriuhan besar ini, CERN mensirkulasi berkas-berkas pertamanya pada 10 September 2008. Tetapi mesin ini menyimpang sembilan hari ketika suatu sambungan elekrikal yang tersolder dengan buruk mengalami panas berlebihan dan menyebabkan rangkaian kerusakan pada magnet dan bagian lain collider.</p>
<p>Steve Myers, direktur CERN untuk  accelerator, mengatakan bahwa perbaikan menyebabkan collider menjadi jauh lebih dipahami daripada satu tahun lalu.</p>
<p>Diharapkan mesin ini akan segera dijalankan dengan energi yang lebih besar daripada acelerator paling kuat sedunia, Tevatron di Fermilab dekat Chicago. Diperkirakan mesin ini akan menjadi berenergi 7 kali lipat Fermilab pada tahun-tahun mendatang.</p>
<p>Ini akan memungkinkan tabrakan antara proton-proton memberikan pandangan tentang materi gelap dan apa yang memberikan massa ke partikel lain, dan untuk menunjukkan materi apa yang dalam mikrodetik mendingin setelah Big Bang.</p>
<p>Large Hadron Collider beroperasi pada temperatur mendekati 0 absolut, lebih dingin dari luar angkasa, yang memberi peluang bagi magnet superkonduktor untuk menuntun proton dengan cara paling efisien.</p>
<p>Fisikawan telah menggunakan collider yang lebih kecil dan bertemperatur kamar selam bertahun-tahun untuk mempelajari atom. Mereka pernah berpikir bahwa proton dan neutron adalah komponen terkecil dari inti atom, tetapi collider menunjukkan bahwa mereka terbuat dari quark-quark dan gluon-gluon dan bahwa terdapat energi-energi dan partikel-partikel lain. Dan para ilmuwan masih mempunyai pertanyaan-pertanyaan lain tentang antimateri, materi gelap dan supersimetri yang ingin mereka dapatkan jawabannya dengan collider CERN baru tersebut.</p>
<p>Super Collider superkonduktor telah menjadi lebih besar dari Large Hadron Collider, tetapi pada tahun 1993 Kongres USA membatalkannya setelah biayanya melambung dan pertanyaan-pertanyaan muncul tentang nilai ilmiahnya.</p>
<p>Gillies mengatakan Large Hadron Collider seharusnya ditingkatkan secara bertahap sampai 3,5 trilyun elektron volt pada suatu saat nanti, yang akan menjadi 3,5 kali kekuatan Fermilab. Dua laboratorium ini saling bersaing, mengerjakan peralatan dan saling berbagi ilmuwan.</p>
<p>Tetapi masing-masing akan senang  untuk membuat penemuan boson Higgs yang sulit dipahami, partikel atau medan yang secara teoritis memberi massa pada partikel lain. Penemuan ini sangat diharapkan dan pantas untuk menerima hadiah Nobel dalam fisika.</p>
<p>Lebih dari 8.000 fisikawan dari lab lain di seluruh dunia juga telah mempunyai rencana kerja untuk Large Hadron Collider. Organisasi ini dijalankan oleh 20 negara anggota dari Eropa, dengan dukungan dari negara-negara lain termasuk Jepang, India, Rusia dan U.S yang telah memberikan kontribusi yang besar.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class='snap_preview'><p>A Russian Proton / Breeze M launch vehicle lifted off from Baikonur at 7:19 AM Phoenix time 24 November.  9 hours and 12 minutes later, the Breeze M released the Eutelsat W7 communications satellite in a Geo Stationary Orbit.  International Launch Services (ILS) was responsible for the mission.  The 5,627 kg W7 satellite was built by Thales Alenia Space and has a 15 year life expectancy.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify;">Aku tak mau cerita pasal alza, tapi aku mau taip sikit mengenai komen-komen dari mereka yang macam hilang akal setiap kali Proton atau Perodua lancar kereta baru. Mereka-mereka hilang akal dan biol dan terus mengutuk tak tentu arah; seolah macam baru kena halau dari kereta bapak sendiri.. terus online dan masuk website untuk mengutuk kereta keluaran malaysia. Komen-komen dari golongan biol hilang akal ni boleh lu orang baca di paultan.org terbabit.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">Aku berani kata bahawa yang dok kutuk tu sama ada tak mampu nak beli kereta baru ataupun ada tunggakkan 2 bulan ansuran kereta dan bakal kena re-po; atau mungkin mereka yang jenis memang tak mampu beli kereta sebab gaji cukup makan je.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">Golongan biol ni akan muncul setiap kali Proton atau Perodua launch model baru. Mereka ni seolah pakar dalam serba-serbi hal mengenai kereta. Ianya seolah fenomena histeria cuma yang ini histeria dari golongan biol yang sembang deras tapi habuk pun tarak. Aku harap lain kali Proton dan Perodua launch model baru secara senyap-senyap supaya sakit sawan babi golongan biol ni tak menyerang; kesian pun ada jugak aku tengok.. serius.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">Senang cerita, kepada golongan biol berkenaan; dari lu orang terus biol kutuk tak tentu arah, apa kata lu orang bikin kereta lu orang sendiri dan mari kita tengok apa hasilnya. Hargailah sikit usaha orang lain.. kalau tak suka sudah&#8230; pi beli ferrari ka, BMW ka, hummer ka; itupun kalau lu orang mampu lah&#8230; sembang jek deras.. ponpangpongpang.. pigi daaa</p>

<p>First, the Large Hadron Collider underwent several tests last week in which beams of protons were successfully circulated around the massive 17-mile installation. Those tests all pointed to a &#8220;go&#8221; for the first actual collisions, which happened yesterday. These collisions were still only tests, and nowhere near the full power needed to look for the elusive Higgs Boson. But with this first collision, the LHC is now <em>officially </em>the world&#8217;s biggest functioning particle colider. There&#8217;s still a lot of testing and preparation to do before they start doing the &#8220;real&#8221; experiments, but this is still very exciting. <p>Secondly, yesterday also marked the kickoff of a new science education campaign by the Obama Administration. I can&#8217;t even describe how happy I am to know this is happening. It&#8217;s the best government-related news I&#8217;ve heard in a loooong time&#8230; probably since Obama won the election. I will echo <a href="http://blogs.discovermagazine.com/badastronomy/2009/11/23/obama-kicks-off-massive-science-education-effort/" target="_blank">Dr. Phil Plait&#8217;s sentiments</a> that the following quote from Obama&#8217;s speech is a symphony to my ears: &#8220;We&#8217;re going to show young people how cool science can be.&#8221;</p>

<p>El experimento del Gran Colisionador de Hadrones (LHC por sus siglas en inglés) fue reiniciado tras un paréntesis de 14 de meses.</p>

<p>Los ingenieros que trabajan en la llamada &#8220;Máquina de Dios&#8221; consiguieron hacer circular un haz de protón estable justo después de las 2100 GMT del viernes.</p>
<p>El LHC está construido en un túnel circular de 27 kilómetros de largo, a unos 100 metros por debajo de la frontera franco-suiza.</p>
<p>El experimento está diseñado para colisionar haces de protones en un intento de arrojar luz sobre el origen del Universo.</p>
<p>El LHC fue cerrado para ponerlo en reparación tras un accidente ocurrido en septiembre de 2008.</p>

<p>Operado por la Organización Europea de Investigación Nuclear (CERN por sus siglas en inglés), el LHC pretende recrear las condiciones en que se encontraba el universo fracciones de segundo después del Big Bang.</p>
<p>&#8220;Es fantástico ver un haz que circula en el LHC de nuevo&#8221;, dijo el director general del CERN, Rolf Heuer.</p>
<p>&#8220;Todavía tenemos mucho camino por recorrer antes de que la física pueda empezar, pero con este hito estamos en el buen camino&#8221;.</p>
<p>Los ingenieros hicieron circular el primer haz a través de los 27 kilómetros de circunferencia del LHC después de las 1930GMT de este viernes.</p>
<p>Lo haces están formados de &#8220;paquetes&#8221; &#8211; cada uno de aproximadamente un metro de largo &#8211; que contiene miles de millones de protones. Pero que se disiparían si se les deja a su suerte.<!--more--></p>
<p>Tienen que utilizarse f uerzas eléctricas para &#8220;capturar&#8221; a los protones. Esto los mantiene bien unidos en los paquetes, para hacer circular un haz estable.</p>
<p>Hay unos 1.200 imanes &#8220;superconductores&#8221; que forman el &#8220;anillo&#8221; principal del LHC.</p>
<p><strong>Cerrado por reparación</strong></p>
<p>La primera vez que se hizo circular un haz por todo el tubo del LHC fue el 10 de septiembre de 2008.</p>

<p>Sin embargo, sólo nueve días después una falla eléctrica en una de las conexiones entre los imanes superconductores causó que una tonelada de helio líquido se derramara en el túnel.</p>

<p>El helio líquido se utiliza para enfriar el LHC a su temperatura de funcionamiento de 1,9 grados Kelvin (-271C,-456F).</p>
<p>La máquina fue cerrada desde el accidente para permitir que se llevaran a cabo las reparaciones.</p>
<p>El daño causado al colisionador significó que 53 imanes superconductores tuvieran que ser sustituidos y reparadas unas 200 conexiones eléctricas.</p>
<p>Los ingenieros también instalaron un nuevo sistema de alerta temprana que pueda prevenir incidentes como el que ocasionó el cierre del experimento.</p>
<p>El CERN ha gastado unos 40 millones de francos suizos (US$39,6 millones) en reparaciones en el colisionador.</p>

En effet, le porte parole de Carrefour, Lars Vervoort, explique <em>“</em><em>qu’ en moyenne, les clients dépensent quelques dizaines d’euros lorsqu’il viennent faire leurs courses” </em>et que lorsque les clients doivent choisir entre un paiement bancontact et un paiement proton, cela fait perdre du temps à la caisse. Quand on sait que moins de 20 transactions (via proton) sont effectuées en un mois chez Carrefour.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">La chaîne a donc décidé de gagner du temps en ne gardant que le paiement par bancontact (carte de débit ET carte de crédit) et ce à partir d’aujourd’hui dimanche 1er novembre.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">Proton n’est décidément pas dans une bonne passe, on peut constater une nette diminution de 12,9% de 2008 à 2009 de l’utilisation du porte-monnaie électronique.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify;">” J’utilise rarement proton et je ne met jamais beaucoup d’argent sur proton car je trouve que ce n’est pas sécurisé comme bancontact, on doit juste mettre ok et pas besoin de numéro de code. Lorsque je viens chez Carrefour c’est généralement pour de gros montants alors qu’ avec proton c’est pour des petites sommes. Je ne trouve donc pas nécessaire de l’utiliser dans les grandes surfaces en générales. Par contre, je le trouve utile dans les boulangeries, les petits commerçants …  <em>N. Jacques”</em></p>

<p>Syed Zainal berkata: &#8220;Bila produk baru keluar, orang menanti-nanti dan ini akan melembapkan tempahan, tetapi saya percaya ini akan stabil semula.</p>
<p>&#8220;Persaingan tidak akan mengganggu kami. Kami akan terus bersaing, jalankan kegiatan pemasaran kami dan terus menambah baik jualan, produk dan perkhidmatan kami,&#8221; katanya.</p>
<p>Proton menyasarkan jualan 150,950 kenderaan bagi tahun kewangan berakhir 31 Mac, 2010, dan merancang untuk menjual kira-kira 36,000 unit atau sekurang-kurangnya 3,000 unit Exora sebulan dalam tahun kewangan semasa.</p>
<p>Model Exora yang dilancarkan pada 15 April itu menerima 26,000 tempahan setakat ini dan 17,000 unit telahpun didaftarkan dalam pasaran domestik.</p>
<p>Model MPV itu membuat penampilan sulungnya di Indonesia dan Singapura. Ia akan dilancarkan di Bangkok menjelang 1 Dis.</p>
<p>Bagi memenuhi permintaan pasaran, Proton akan memperkenal model Exora Basic berharga RM57,548 Sabtu ini.</p>

Grip Plyaz:</strong> I was tired of hearing the same &#8216;ol monotony on the radio and in my surroundings. My sh*t is authentic, homegrown and ain’t sh*t about me manufactured. I just like to make sure n*ggas know Grip.</p>
<p><strong>HipHopWired:</strong> With that said, you’re a staple here in the city. When do you think you’re going to get your chance to get big and take your scene on a national level?</p>

<p><strong>Grip Plyaz:</strong> Next year I feel should be a good year for me. Right now I&#8217;m f*ckin wit one single production team, The Weathermen from Cannon Music. I&#8217;m putting together a body of work which will push me to the next level. Wit putting out quality and working with my team, 2010 should be good.</p>
<p><strong>HipHopWired:</strong> Explain your sound for people that may be unfamiliar.</p>
<p><strong>Grip Plyaz:</strong> My sound is slum, southern roots&#8230;very bass driven. Chant-derived, strong hooks. N*gganese&#8230;which is my slang cuz I&#8217;m from n*gganon *laughs* Basically I&#8217;m not ordinary.</p>
<p><strong>HipHopWired:</strong> Tell me about your background in music. How’d you get started rapping?</p>
<p><strong>Grip Plyaz:</strong> I got started through working with Collective Efforts and Proton. 2 Atlanta hip-hop groups on the underground scene. They gave me the opportunity to perform and help me perfect my own sound.</p>

<p><strong>Grip Plyaz:</strong> The Nobodies were myself and my homeboy Zoo Atlanta, a 2-man group back in the 90s. At first we wanted to perform in ski mask, didn&#8217;t want anyone to see us. That&#8217;s what drew Coach K (formerly Young Jeezy&#8217;s manager) to manage us. Our album was called &#8220;who are u&#8221; but at the time, Zoo had his first baby and wanted to focus more on family life. We were in different stages of our lives.</p>

<p><span style="color:#000000;">PETALING JAYA, 19 Nov (Bernama) &#8212; Model Exora Basic yang akan dilancarkan Sabtu ini dijangka menyumbang lima peratus kepada kuantiti jualan Exora pada tahun kewangan yang berakhir pada 30 Mac, 2010, kata Pengarah Urusan Proton Holdings Bhd, Datuk Syed Zainal Abidin Syed Mohamad Tahir.</span></p>
<p>Varian baharu kenderaan pelbagai guna (MPV) dengan tujuh tempat duduk itu akan dipamerkan di semua cawangan Proton Edar dan EON di seluruh negara pada 21 Nov ini.</p>
<p>Pelanggan boleh menempah model tersebut dengan bayaran RM500.</p>
<p>Model tersebut yang hanya disediakan bagi transmisi manual, tampil dengan tiga warna, perak, hitam dan putih padu.</p>
<p>Model warna putih padu akan dijual pada harga atas jalan RM57,548 di Semenanjung Malaysia dan RM60,148 di Malaysia Timur.</p>
<p>Bagi model perak dan hitam, kedua-duanya berharga RM57,998 di Semenanjung Malaysia dan RM60,598 di Malaysia Timur.</p>
<p>Exora, yang kali pertama dilancarkan pada 15 April, telah mula di pasarkan di Indonesia dan Singapura.</p>
<p>Proton dilaporkan merancang untuk melancarkan MPV itu di Thailand pada Disember.</td>
