Now, I got this question about 3 hours after I did my Vs. Review with the PSP Go. Now at first I would of said no way….but I found other wise…Enjoy my PSP Q+A

Q: Does PSP Downloadable Games Load Faster Then UMD Games ?

A: Great Q….Ok most will load faster…but not all games I tested a few like Prinny, G-d of War, Killzone: Liberation and Patapon and they all loaded a little faster. With Prinny loading faster then the UMD version the most.

** Now is this a rule no…but it seems to not only load faster then their UMD version but also last longer in the battery department which is a huge re-leaf for me. Since batter life is one of the big 3 issues that covers all the 4 version of the PSP…

Welcome to yet another terms and definitions 2.0 version..So as of late I have been getting quite a few PSP questions, So I decided to pick this one at random and answer it. So here is the explanation and definition of what a WEP key is……

WEP – Wired Equivalent Privacy being

WEP – is a  to deprecated code to secure  IEEE 802.11 networks. Wireless networks broadcast messages using radio and are thus more susceptible to hacked than wired networks. When introduced in 1999, WEP was intended to provide extra security comparable to that of a traditional wired network.

Well it has been a long time coming for me. You get a PSP and thous you start looking high and low for a battery to keep it chugging a long like the good little portable gaming unit it is.

Well like me, you probably figured out the battery drains pretty darn quickly and you seem are more tethered by the AC cord. Then the life of the standered PSP-2000 battery…

So now on with the review:

Ok, so you want a longer lasting battery. But this battery yes it does give you an extra 2-4 hours of supposed play. But for the price of $39.99 – $59.99 is a very high price to pay for a very minor increase in gameplay. That personally I really did not even notice in the first place and now you can get a lot larger batteries for a lot cheaper. Yes you still need the extended battery cover. But you can pick up one of thous very cheap.

I would avoid this if you can. I personally needed a new battery ASAP and could not wait and thous got robbed blind…BY SONY

- Not made for Slim PSP-2001 or PSP-3000

- Awkward extended battery cover

- I did not really notice a huge difference in extra gameplay

- Battery cover does not come in other then Black and White

- It is SONY and no worries about fake batteries that will wreak you PSP (Compared as to risking your PSP’s safety on a counterfeit battery from E-Bay)

- It does give you some more time with your PSP

- It is a good replacement

- You get 2 extra battery covers – one white and one black

Se7en Recommendation : Buy the battery cheap from someone still trying to clear out their PSP-1000 AKA PSP-FAT stock.  Because that is the battery they are trying to sell to you and buy the battery cover in the colour you really want Via e-Bay.

Hello everyone so today I am going to talk about Sony new PC PSP connectivity program called “Media GO” is this really better then the old PSP Media Manger 3.o .Well here is your chance to find out so enjoy my review.

How Much Does It Cost ? – Free, just need a USB cable and a PSP any version (PSP-1000 AKA PSP FAT>>>>PSP-2000 AKA PSP Slim<<<<<PSP-3000 AKA PSP Brite)

Is It Better Then PSP Media Manager 3.0 ? – Not by a long shot. First off it no longer centres around game saves. Media Go is all about conversion software and some other pointless options. I really don’t care for like PODCASTs and such. The PSN store is a lot lot better in Media GO. Then on all of the older versions of PSP Media Manager before it.

1. Is Media GO A Resource Hog ? – Not really….

2. Is Media GO Stable ? – Generally yes…but I have gotten more then a few crashes or times when the program will not load up at all

3. Can You Update Media Go ? – Every time I have tried it has failed and has giving me an ERROR Message

4. Are There Ads In Media GO ? - Yes, plenty of samples videos and images as well as ads to. Buy this music and this software or subscribe to this pod-casts and such..PRETTY OVERWHELMING till you get use to it….

5. Can You Use The Program With Out Your PSP Connected ? – Yes indeed you can…look around and add and subtract items from your play lists and convert with out your PSP being connected at all..which is really a great feature..(You can not download or Preview Media from the PSN STORE with out your PSP Connected such as PULSE series)

6. How Is The Conversion Software With Media GO ? – I found Media GO Conversion software really hard to use and even more confusing. Is how to find said conversion options…

7. Does Media GO Recognize 3rd Party Memory Sticks ? - Yes, MEDIA GO does at least the Scan disk as well as the Sony Pro Duo

8. Does it work on XP ? – Yes

9. Does it work on Vista ? Yes but, only with service pack 1 installed

My overall rating is 1.5 out of 5 – The main reason being MEDIA GO makes everything a lot harder then it has to be. As well MEDIA GO is way  harder to manage your game saves. Compared to the older Media Managers 2.5 or 3.0….

Hay muchas aplicaciones y plugins útiles que nos indican el porcentaje de vida de batería o el tiempo que falta para que esta se acabe, pero el coder Warlock nos trae una interesante aplicación que seguro que seguro que gustará a más de a uno, ya que podremos maximizar los niveles de batería de nuestra PSP.

Así, PSP Power Saver v0.0.6 “incrementa” la vida de la batería de nuestras PSPs alrededor de un 5%. En futuras versiones, este número podría incrementar de manera satisfactoria, ya que según Warlock, podremos incrementar la batería un 50% e incluso un 100% mas. Esto es posible al “apagar” el UMD driver cuando no lo estamos usando.

Este HEN, como su nombre lo indica, hace posible ejecutar los Homebrews, que van desde emuladores, juegos y más, ahora en cualquier PSP con Firmware 5.03.

Se ha publicado el anticipado ChickHEN homebrew enabler del equipo “Typhoon”. Tras 1800 líneas de código, 4 semanas de estresante desarrollo e incontables pruebas la llegada de una nueva era del homebrew para todas las PSP’s 3000, 2000 y 1000 está cerca. Lo que muchos dijeron que era imposible por fin es una realidad, toda clase de homebrew ahora puede correr en las placas “malditas” T88v3 y TA-090 de Sony.

¿Qué hace ChickHEN?
ChickHEN es un “Hoembrew enabler” que permite ejecutar homebrew desde el XMB. Mediante una vulenrabilidad en la librería “TIFF” el lanzador toma ventaja del sistema ejecutando un Xploit en el Kernel y reiniciando todo en un entorno con homebrew activado. El ChickHEN permanece activo hasta que la PSP se apaga por completo, que es cuando se carga el Firmware desde la flash. A diferencia de otros HEN’s, ChickHEN no toca la Flash0 y reside complétamente en la memoria. El archivo “h.bin” que se encuentra en la descarga consiste de un cargador y “systemex”, que es una orden inversa de “Systemctrl” y “rebootex”.

¿Qué NO hace ChickHEN?

-Ejectuar ISO, CSO o cualquier otra forma de copia de seguridad
-Ejecutar juegos de PSX
-Tocar la flash de tu querida PSP
-Permitir el uso de un Custom Firmware Mágicamente
-Cargar Plugin

¿Como ejecuto el ChickHEN en la PSP?

1. Primero, coloca la imágen TIFF en el directorio X:\PSP\PHOTO
2. Copia el archivo “h.bin” en la raíz de la Memory Stick (En el caso de arriba, “X”) y “Retira el Dispositivo con Seguridad”
2. Ve al icono de Fotos del XMB, entra y entra en la carpeta dond eesté el “eggsploit.tuff” y espera (Esto no funcionará la primera vez, usa un método que te sirva a ti)
3. Si todo sale bien, la pantalla parpadeará verde indicando que el HEN se cargó y todo está bien.
4. Espera a que la PSP se reinicie y revisa la Inforamción del Sistema de la PSP. Ahora debe aparecer “5.03 ChickHEN”.
5. Ahora entre en el menú “Juego” y disfruta el Homebrew!

Para actualizar tu PSP a 5.03:

1.- Descarga el siguiente firmware: 5.03

2.- Colócalo en “X:\PSP\GAME\UPDATE” donde “X” es la (unidad de tu PSP) y renómbralo a “EBOOT.PBP”

3.- En tu PSP ve a “Juego -> Memory Stick” y ejecuta “Actualización [...] 5.03″

4.- Sigue las instruciones en pantalla… y NO apagues tu PSP…. no querrás tener un bonito pisapapeles xD.

5.- Ya está, te recomiendo que no pases de este firmware, ya que en el “5.50″ el Bug de las librerías TIFF fue “parcheado”, y esto ya no es funcional.

“Maibrithahn”, usuario de mformature.net, ha publicado un “Bugfix” no oficial.

Davee ha publicado una revisión de su ChickHEN, ahora SI ejecuta el homebrew.

A: Yes it is 100% true, every since firmware 5.00 came out…the PSP battery life now barely losses any power…when the system is not engaged in play/ power button is in the off position…

Q: What does AD-HOC mode mean in PSP terms?

A: So here is what I gathered from the US Playstation Website…Hope this answers your question

Ad Hoc mode allows multiple PSP systems to communicate with each other within a limited range. For example, if you want to play a game against someone else with a PSP® in the same room, use the Ad Hoc mode. Other things to know about Ad Hoc mode:

• Ad Hoc mode lets you connect a PSP system to other PSP systems without having to set up a WAP (Wireless Access Point).
• You can use Ad Hoc mode to play games with other PSP system owners.
• You can connect up to 16 PSP systems for wireless play using Ad Hoc mode.
• You can also use Ad Hoc mode to send and receive images from one PSP system to another.
