Other than the ‘Feel Korea K-pop Night & K-Fashion Show’, which is a minor part of the entire ‘Visit Korea Year’campaign, there were many workshops, events and sub-campaigns which help to promote Korean culture. And that includes the ‘Hallyu Showcase (K-Pop night)’, in which our 4Minute has participated as well.

We have reported that PUCCA is expanding to become a world-class character brand, so after Korea, they held 2 fashion showcases in Shanghai, as part of the Korea-China cultural appreciation package for the ‘K-Fashion Show’. When you see PUCCA, there is bound to be 4Minute. As the endorsing team, 4Minute graced the event (they were in Shanghai anyway), emphasizing on the unique fashion and creative art of Korea. 4Minute also showcased their great moves and vocals, bringing the event to its zenith.

Pucca é um espetáculo infantil que mistura ação, clima de aventura típica dos desenhos animados, música, dança e muito bom humor.

Isso é Pucca Ao Vivo, atração que chega à Via Funchal tendo tudo para agradar ao público infantil. É repleto de elementos capazes de prender a atenção dos pequenos de modo instrutivo, animado e positivo. E também de cativar os adultos que os acompanharem.

A História da Pucca
 
Pucca é uma série de animação produzida em flash pela companhia Vooz da Coréia do Sul, em associação com a marca Disney XD.

A personagem principal é Pucca (puc-ka), filha mais nova de um proprietário de um restaurante chinês de miojo (noodles). Ela tem um sorriso contagiante e um penteado único. Ao mesmo tempo, a mocinha é mimada e cheia de vontades. Fica vermelha de raiva quando a coisa não sai como deseja. É persistente e não desiste nunca de conquistar a sua grande paixão, Garu (Gaa-roo).

Esse menino de 12 anos, por sua vez, gosta de treinar artes marciais. Para atender o último pedido de seu falecido pai e resgatar a honra da família, decide se tornar o melhor ninja da Vila onde mora. Para isso, faz um voto de silêncio, que Pucca decide compartilhar.

Pucca ajuda Garu nas lutas e sempre arruma um jeito de beijá-lo no final de cada episódio. Aparentemente, pode fazer absolutamente qualquer coisa, só para se aproximar do seu amado.

Sua roupa favorita é uma camisa vermelha típica combinada com uma calça preta, mas seu guarda roupa é muito variado. A garota tem uma roupa para cada ocasião, desde figurino para caçar um pássaro até ser Miss Vila Sooga. Ela ama macarrão, mas ama mais ainda Garu.

Diversos outros personagens participam dessa aventura, tais como Abyo, Ching, Mio, Lanterna Vermelha (Papai Noel), Policial Bruce, os três cozinheiros e diversos vilões . Um deles é Tobe, ninja que quer derrotar Garu a todo custo. Ele comanda uma liga ninja em seu porão, com integrantes treinados para ajudar a derrotar Garu.

Muitos cartões de cumprimento e episódios em flash centram-se em torno das tentativas cômicas de Pucca no intuito de roubar um beijo de Garu e a competição entre as duas personagens. Há pouco ou nenhum diálogo nestes episódios em flash, de modo que os surdos pelo mundo inteiro possam apreciá-los.

O Espetáculo – Pucca ao Vivo

Na Vila Sooga, o Grande Festival Lunar será celebrado em honra do Deus Vulcão. E nada poderá dar errado, pois se o Deus se enraivecer, a aldeia toda será destruída.

Assim, todos vão trabalhar mais do que nunca para tornar o festival um grande sucesso. Os três tios de Pucca serão os responsáveis pela preparação do maior e mais imponente bolo lunar, um belo adorno para o Deus Vulcão. E Garu, o poderoso guerreiro da aldeia, fará de tudo para que nada de errado ocorra.

Tobe, o grande vilão da aldeia, tem um plano maligno pra que Garu não consiga cumprir a sua missão. Um plano que poderá expor a aldeia toda à fúria do vulcão.

Most people immediately think of websites, silly games, and banners. Yes, that’s what Flash is primarily used for, but did you know that the program has been used to create animated TV shows and even feature films? No? Well stay tuned.

Yup. Created in Flash! I cannot lie, I adore this little cartoon, and to know that I have the skills to be able to create something like this using Flash makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. There are even tutorials online to show you how to animate Bloo! (My favorite character is Eduardo by the way–he’s the big purple one in the center. Who doesn’t love a sensitive, scaredy-cat monster with a Spanish accent?)

Even if you don’t know about the show, you know about the characters! Mr. Scatterbrain, Little Miss Chatterbox, Mr. Nervous and all the rest. Created in Flash!

Pucca

A cute, silent comedy about Pucca, a 10yr-old girl in love with a 12yr-old ninja named Garu. Much of the series takes place near Pucca’s family’s noodle house. It used to be pure animation, but for the TV series, dimensional backgrounds were added.

Total Drama Island

This show is kind of a guilty pleasure for me; I’ll watch it if nothing else is on. I tell you, those marathons suck you in! Anyway, it is a cartoon reality show complete with confessionals, challenges and eliminations. There is now a sequel series that airs with the same format: Total Drama Action.

This is by no means an exhaustive list, but just some examples to show what you can do with Flash. So don’t give up, grasshoppers! Embrace that pen tool! Insert those keyframes! You can do it! And for those thinking this is interesting but don’t know anything about Flash or where to start, there are plenty of tutorials out there for beginners and experts alike (here’s a link for beginners). Start animating!

Seoul Fashion Week 2010 S/S Collection (Oct. 19, 2009)

What is life without fashion? I couldn’t imagine living in a world where one could not express themselves by the slight mod’s of the clothes they wear and emotions they muster up…so intimately integrated in our 5 senses, smell, touch, hear, see and even taste. As a young girl, while others dreamed of becoming astronauts, scientists and doctors, my own head was filled with fantasies of fame and fortune in fashion design. Although that dream was never realized, it is something that I enjoy even to this day. So when the opportunity came where Seoul Fashion Week was once again in the midst of arrival, I quickly made plans to see at least one artist. Thus a new door is opened for me in which I expand my travel experience and am able to share it with you.

Three o’clock was Hwang, Jae Bock’s collection of wedding and prom dresses under the (not so appropriate) theme, ‘Temptation.’ Although they were exquisitely made; with sequins, lace, cz’s, and floral accessories over silk layering at the rear and bust, much of her clothes were lackluster. Looking at the layout of the catwalk, you automatically expect it to be very feminine and fairytale-like [something that has been done numerous times]…contrasting the ‘sexiness’ I expected from her profile in the schedule booklet. There were gold washed lamps filled with a single candle surrounded by floral centerpieces, 2 of each on either side; illuminating the model’s dresses as they walked to and fro.  A classic ornamental fence decorated in vines stretched out of the entrance, further grasping the idea of refined lines and painstaking detailing. These dresses harmonized so perfectly to Korean (women’s) fashion, so much so that none of them stood out, or made my heart flutter with excitement. To me, fashion is about innovation and doing something new:  out of the ordinary.  I felt Hwang played it safe by doing something that many other designers had already done, and perhaps even better (with gowns similar to that of top bridal designers such as Vera Wang, Monique Lhuillier and Oscar de la Renta). Don’t get me wrong, I am no critique and her feminine lines and hemming was flawless, but when a designer doesn’t ‘design,’ well then he/she becomes forgettable. And perhaps that is why she has no eminent basis internationally. Still, when all is said and done, her fan base in Korea seems strong and striving. As she stood in front of her dresses signaling the end of the show, the audience sporadically came down to shower her with bouquets and strident applause. Click here for more info.

After her runway was over, I decided to view the buyers’ exhibits and take on the challenge of chatting with some of the designers/representatives. I walked several times around the great room in search for the ones that immediately captured my interest. In bags, SAEN had spread out 2 luxurious and functional collections themed ‘Robotesque,’ and ‘Change Gear.’

In ‘Robotesque,’ the designer uses unconventional materials such as industrial cables, bicycle chains, rubber, etc. which you can deduce as being ‘green’ or ‘organic.’ With her last season’s collection in beige, this time she stuck with universal (and oh so sexy) black in mostly leather, polyester, knitting and mesh textiles. I especially value the way the bags and backpacks can be morphed to expand for larger storage, from bag to backpack with the zip of the side, and are reversible to suit changing styles. The second collection, ‘Change Gear,’ has interchangeable leather outer pieces made from crisscrossed leather strips. The bags are visually appealing and versatile; bringing a more modern and simplistic silhouette that enhances any outfit.

With 5 years in the purse making business, I will never forget her saying, “I want my bags to be sleek, easy and comfortable…simple rather than lots of add-ons and flashy fastenings, which I feel designers use when they have little or no confidence in their creation(s). In the future, I plan on continuing with simple, efficient silhouettes as it brings a level of professionalism to my pieces (translated).” I too feel that she definitely understands the next step in high fashion combining it with high performance and quality that is missing in many copycat designers of today. Next was picking my favorite clothing booth. Fanup/E[nergy]&Up is a brand targeting teenage to young adult women in their early to mid-twenties. The combined team of 7 designers overlooked the Korean market (already knowing it to be in excess of pop-culture clothes) and does OEM and ODM manufacturing with buyers in Hong Kong, LA, Shanghai and Beijing, just to name a few. They stick with more affordable textiles such as denim, pleather and cotton. They do however have a shop in Dongdaemun [동대문] Market district with basic tops and bottoms similar to that of UNIQLO or GAP. They definitely take no risks, and strictly follow the trends as I noticed while perusing their washed-out/bleach-blotted denim jeans, one pieces, zipper jackets and power shoulder tops. Although there was much to discuss regarding selling internationally and promoting the brand, their goal is to organizing a full-on launching from a domestic to global exporter in 3 years. Five o’clock had finally rolled-around and again I noticed the handful of empty front row seats. Reserved for VIP and Buyers, this didn’t deter me from once again making my way down and taking a position 1/3 to mid-way parallel of the runway foyer. I contemplated to myself why it seemed Koreans were afraid to break away from their group even when faced with the opportunity of getting better seats. Even though I understand the countries outlook towards ‘unification’ and society as acting ‘collectively,’ at times (this being one of them) I feel that this is going too far and individualism becomes scarce. Innovation is brought to a standstill while the younger generation becomes even more suppressed. Now I’m getting too deep, too serious. Back to reality and onto the next runway show.

‘Gissen,’ by Kwak Hyun Joo started off with a projector of Pucca (Korean cartoon character in hot pursuit of her lover, Garu) kicking a swarm of ninja’s butts during her rescue mission. The vibe, further enhanced by detective/action-scene pop and progressive music (think Crank, the movie) allowed for more upbeat ‘horse-stomping’ by models. I enjoyed the high-energy and everyday street-wear. There was not one piece of women’s clothing that I did not sorely want to own. Her fusion of Goth punk, Halle Berry from 007, sleek and luxury style clothes in latex, denim, leather, polyester and cotton textiles was innovative and modern. The female models wore peep toe high boots and straight hair tied back while the men comprised of the same dark eyeliner, combat boots and Reebok sneakers as focal points. I envied the models who fitted her clothes so nicely and was reassured that originality did exist in Korea. For website, click here.

Bogus gun in hand, Hyun Joo bowed with gratitude, placed herself in front of the power-posed models and imitated a gunshot, releasing billions of red confetti from the sky. I exited SETEC with contempt and surreal happiness…a day never to be forgotten.

Hola nerds, firkis, o cualquier otra forma de vida no identificada que visite este apartado en este lindo mundo que solemos llamar iNternet, aqui su amigo Leki escribiendo de nuevo después de un buen rato -_-, una ves mas con pretextos xD. Es que fue otra de esas semanas “pesadas”, pero al menos ya es viernes xDDD, y como todos los viernes, es un viernes de estrenos a niveles nacionales; por un lado tenemos “FlashForward” muy buena serie de ciencia ficción, y por otro el capitulo 3 de Darker then Black Season2, (el nombre completo es muy largo) apenas lo estoy descargando y pues mientras escribo aquí xD, pero mi Internet esta muy lento -_- no se por que -_-.

Acabo de regresar de mi curso de ingles algo decepcionado, ya van 8 meses que llevo estudiando allí y no me había sentido así en mucho tiempo, ni siquiera en mi escuela, sera que acaso, me gusta mas ir a un curso por separado que, a una escuela que me brindara mi futuro???…::… Hay que tener en cuenta que si no sabes ingles en estos días no puedes llegar a ser una persona completamente competente; seamos realistas en México, no se tienen muy buenos trabajos que digamos, y si en realidad quieres triunfar es mejor ir al extranjero. Claro el ingles no te lo va a dar todo, necesita haber una base que sostenga toda tu carrera, así pasando por la primaria, a no esperen!!, ahora salen con que también es obligatorio el kindergarden (kinder acá en México pero se oye mejor en ingles xD), si, por que desde que tienes 2 o 3 años ya tienes que estudiar, como se les ocurre traumar a esos niñitos con tanta presión, de que si llevo tarea, de que le pegué a mi compañero, de que si mi novia me deja pero la deje con hijos, por dios señor a cargo de la secretaria general escolar (xD no se) de que nos sirve que usted o cualquier licenciado, abogado, doctor y/o sangano, aya sacado 5 o 10 en “Palitos y Bolitas 1: Introducción al Lápiz” en primer año en el kinder. Pero no~~, mejor mandar al niño a la escuelita para que mi marido y yo podrás tener mas tiempo “a solas” ¬¬”.
Así llegamos a primaria, en donde ahora es obligatorio llevar ingles; al principio no me imagine nada malo por que es bueno que ya de pequeños empiecen a desarrollar otros idiomas, pero esperen, oh por dios!! que pasa cuando al niño le prestan una computadora con acceso a Internet; – Jaimito!! ¿Que estas haciendo?-Tarea mamá, tengo que investigar como crean el alimento las plantas- pues noo!!! el niño no estas haciendo tarea, en lugar de eso esta poniendo en Google “Hot Blonde Girl with friends”. Y no me digan que no es cierto.
La Secundaria, cuando te sientes libre, cuando porfin saltas del nido a empezar a volar, al sentir como la briza del aire choca con tu rostro como puedes correr solo por la calle hasta que las malditas boletas llegan a las manos de tu madre, padre y/o concubino. O ya te peleaste con tu amigo, amiga, novio, novia, profesor, director, prefecta, banca, mesabanco, perro propio vagador de la escuela, y/o tus sabanas, alli es cuando te das cuenta que, solo te dejaron saltar de ese nido porque ellos ya sabian que no podias volar; que solo eres escoria, no tanto como en primaria, ahora eres mas grande, pero sigues siendo el hijo de tus padres (awwwwn) y por ende, sigues estando en el nido pero al mismo tiempo no lo estas; en otras palabras, si te portas bien “te felicitamos ” si es lo contratio “es tu pedo “hombresito”" xD (bueno no siempre xD algunos padres son buenos [como los mios =D]).

Como hijo de maestros, yo se (al igual que todos los demas hijos de maestros) que tus padres pueden llegar a exigirte aun mas, pero por lo mismo si lo logras, adquieres mejor resultados, aun que, en estos momentos les subieron 2% porciento de impuestos a los salarios de mis padres entonces por cada $100.°° les quitan $30.°° no suena mucho xD pero si mi papa ganara hipotéticamente $1000.°° le descuentan $300.°° y si ganase $5000.°° le desonctarian $15o0.°° y si ganara $10000.°° ya serian $2000.°°. Vaya ya seria una cantidad razonable de perdidas, y en posibiliades de tener otra laptop xD.

Unos dicen que es solo un periodo de crisis, yo no creo, dicen que se acabara el agua, yo tampoco creo, pero, por que no toman el agua de las lluvias??, ovbiamente previamente tratada. Que va yo no soy politico. Ademas soy un adolecente esto no me afectaa…………………….eso fuera cierto, hace tiempo pero ahora les afecta a todos!!!, hasta a los bebes, por que ya no habria leche para alimentarlos, ni pañales para ensuciar, y si no hay pañales se ensucian en la ropa osea tener que lavar osea no darme dinero para comer en la escual por comprar jabon o no dinero para no ir al cine, digo ir alcine jeje ¬¬U.

Lo buneo es que soy hijo unico xDD, hablando de eso, ultimamente eh escuchado a mis compañeros ablar de sus hermanitos y aveces dicen que son molestos por que les piden ayuda contodo, ya saben, pues la verdad mi consejo, es el siguiente; “Si tienes un hermanito que te molesta, que te pega, que te acusa con tus padres todo el tiempo por cosas que no hiciste, no me hagas caso, no ves que te estoy diciendo que soy hijo unico idiota??”

Al final de cuentas lo que importa es la intencion verdad???? Santa?? ¬¬?? aber si para este año me traes mi babylucas que te pedi cuando andaba alli de niño bueno sacando dientes, y no me vengas que no existes panson por que yo te eh visto en Pucca alli peleando con Garu, ¬¬.

Pero que va, aun faltan 40min para que termine la descarga -_- maldito inernet lento.

Como les iba diciendo saque 41/50 en mi examen de ingles -_-U el mas alto saco 42. Pero es que el Listenning >_<, bueno pero ya promediado con la primera parte del nivel saco 87 de 100, no esta mal, y el lunes comienzo el nivel 5 de 12 xD a echarle ganas xD me da por subitutlar series en un año o dos xD, o ver las series y no tener que esperar a que alguien las subtitule jejeje

Como sea asta aqui llego tengo ganas de hacer otra cosa. Y pues bien -c ya-
