When I join in the work, I don’t like wearing high-heeled shoes I think wearing high-heeled shoes was very tired . But now I have been used to wearing high-heeled shoes. I find high heels shoes make me look more beautiful.

Now,except my spare time , I wear high heels every day and never feel the tired.On the contrary, now I feel very comfortable.

Indeed,high-heeled shoes have become the scenery of this era.The high-heeled shoes will become more popular,especially Christian Louboutin Shoes.

The Mirror, Vol. 14, No. 650

The Mirror carried already last week a report about the extraordinary speech of the Prime Minister: “It Is Time to Stop; Military Officials Who Do Illegal Activities Are Not Fit to Work in the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces” – where he directly named several generals present, criticizing their unacceptable, corrupt behavior. During the present week, there were still positive responses in the press, including from sources not so close to the government. Human Rights Watch, a US based organization, often very critical of the political climate in Cambodia, also supported the Prime Minister’s warning to commanders over their corrupt, illegal actions. And the Prime Minister himself continued to speak according to the same line, when he attacked nepotism, warning that nobody should nominate relatives and partisans for public office.

But we got also another response: “Words are cheap, nothing will change.”

And another, also anonymous voice, calls it to be my idea – while I actually quoted Article 51 of the Constitution of the Kingdom of Cambodia – that the Cambodian people are the masters of their country, because they can vote, saying, “Having rights is not enough. You’ve got to have the power to exercise those rights, so that they can be useful. That can also explain why the civil society has always failed in demanding for respect for human rights.”

These are pessimistic views, assuming and expecting that rights can be enjoyed automatically, while history shows in many different cultures that rights have to be fought for, even if they are written in the law, when other powers violate them.

The Prime Minister has spoken clearly.

According to a report in the Phnom Penh Post of 4 February 2010, “Farmers set to call soldiers to Kampot court,” saying

“A group of people in Chumkiri, Kampot, filed a complaint in the provincial court against members of an army unit they say are encroaching on their land and cutting down their fruit trees, escalating a standoff that began in 2001… The court complaint comes less than one week after Prime Minister Hun Sen warned top military officials to refrain from participating in illegal land-grabbing operations.

‘It is time to stop every activity involving illegal business or the support of illegal business. I don’t care how many stars or moons you have – I will fire you, and nobody will keep corrupt commanders in their seats,’ the Prime Minister had said at the end of a conference on military reform at the Ministry of Defense last week.”

So we will see.

But did civil society always fail in demanding respect for human rights? It is not clear on which basis this is said, and which understanding or misunderstanding of the term ‘civil society’ is used when saying so. First, there is no general, clear definition of this term. But it refers to all movements, associations, or individual citizens, independent from the state, whose aim is to improve policies, standards, or social structures, through common efforts. Civil society – that are organizations formed for these purposes – civil society organizations, non-government organizations, citizens action groups – but civil society is also all individual citizens in a social unit – be it a residential region, or a common interest group (for example enjoying sports or music, and caring together to see that the proper space is set aside for these purposes). Civil society is citizens who organize themselves to care for the quality of life where they live.

Civil society is also the majority of the citizens of Phnom Penh, who, in their majority, do not care that the Boeung Kak lake in this city is being destroyed, being filled up with sand for the benefit of some business interests to construct a commercial and housing center – though the plans have not even been made transparent and publicly know, leaving all the struggle for rights to the several thousand people who are directly affected, because they lose their traditional environment and with it also their means of living.

On 31 August 2008 The Mirror had reported the following: “Later in January 2008, Areyathor reported that Samdech Heng Samrin, the President of the National Assembly – and also a Honorary President of the Cambodian People’s Party – had signed a letter for the suspension of pumping of soil to fill Boeng Kak lake, and the paper reported also that the Phnom Penh governor and vice-governor allegedly disagree with each other about filling Boeng Kak lake.” We are not aware that the press has done any follow up on these reports. But the public is aware that the lake is gradually disappearing, that many residents had tried to organize themselves to jointly represent their concerns and demands, and that some of the remaining residents around the lake are at present living on top of rising dirty water, as the promised pumping for stagnant dirty water – as a result of the filing in of sand – was installed too late and is not strong enough.

Recently I had the opportunity to be in Myanmar, and to have dinner one evening at the Kan Taw Gyi lakeside – a wide park where hundreds of people enjoy walking around or sitting together, with a music stage, very many small restaurants, and a wonderful view. Phnom Penh is destroying such a possibility for its future.

Today I have again the great honor to show you one of the fantastic creations of soraya Vaher, designer of Violator.

Today I am glad to show you one of the newest creations of Violator – “Victorian Rendezvous – Noire et Rouge”.

This incredible outfit is a masterpiece of design. An amazing head piece made of red roses, black futuristic parts and tentacles makes the opening for this outstanding design. A nice acessoire is the transparent “blindfold” also decorated with different sized tentacles and spikes. It gives you a light mystical touch also as a little evil one The collar is an outstanding “jewelry” opition in black with red and black tentacles and it is kinds protection for the neck… vampires be careful

For the jacket soraya decided an awsome black texture with amazing ornamented in black and dark grey tones. The long sleeves find their end in amazing writs attachments and gloves of the same texture. Now we come to the great spike umbrella… I never saw someting before. This umbrella is a totally must have for this outfit. A grand umbrella, innerside red and outerside the same great texture as we found on the dress in a wonerful black tone… again Violator shows of the beautiful eye for the detail!

The skirt is made of roses tentacles and a black basic. If oyu take a look on the roses… you can see againhow detailed and filigree soraya Vaher designs! The you have also included a pair of awsome stockings in black also with a nice seam made as a prim, again carrying a rose and tentacles.

Okay here there come . My forever love FLATS! Don’t get me wrong I still love love LOVE pumps but in reality this fits my life better and flats just make my life a easier. Who said Flats have to be boring and not fashionable!!!!! Personally, I am very picky about the flats. Not only they have to be colorful but also they have to be comfortable too. I only wear the flats with a thick pad on the bottom!  I had experience with FLAT flats. I have to say you are probably better off with pumps. THEY HURT after wearing few hours!!!!! I have to say some designer flats share the same problem as well. The best part is those are not that expensive! They are the range from $40-$55 and some of them are made in leather! I have to say they do bring me a lot of compliments! The orange glitter pair was my favorite last year! it’s SO wore out I had to buy new one! Now my life is about the off white and yellow! they are super duper!!! by the way, I bought them in Taiwan! I hope they will sell in the US in the future!!!

I was surfing the net yesterday and I stumbled across ModCloth. I can’t believe I had never been there before! The clothes are so cute! There are a lot of vintage inspired pieces, as well as real vintage finds. The real vintage stuff flys out fast, so you basically have to be sitting on your refresh button to buy anything! ^_^

Okay, so, I really really want to share this with everyone! o well, this is the only pair of pumps I like now! I am trying to get a pair of Christian Louboutin but I really didn’t find something I really like yet! O well, I like few pairs of them too! O well, I didn’t buy them all because A. I don’t have a proper shoe closet. B.  I am in Seattle. I walk all over the places. It is just impossible to walk few hours in pumps and walk on the hills before I kill myself! So, most of shoes I own are flats. cute ones too! I will post them on next time!

I bought this at a night market in Taiwan. When the salesman suggested me to try those on, I was very skeptical about it because I am a colored

person. I love everything colored! Black, gray are just not really my kind of color. However, after I gave it a shoot, I couldn’t take them off me. They are so fitted and so cute! So, I just had to buy those!  HA!

I saw this on one of the magazines. I was IN LOVE with them after I saw it. o well, I am not sure about the peek toe but this just looks great with even just a pair of jeans. I LOVE THEMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I will totally take those black ones even without the bling bling! I always want to buy a pair of sexy suede black shoes. It will go great with a pair of sexy black tights. I think it will be a elegant everyday look. However, I have to admit it looks even sexier with the bling. I hope they are comfortable. Do you own a pair of Christian Louboutin? Unbelievably Fab Jean Muir Dress

I couldn’t believe my luck when I came across this great Jean Muir dress! The cute sleeves caught my eye right away and when I saw the label I knew I had found something special!

Jean Muir was an English designer who is widely considered amongst one of the best designers and dressmakers in the world, in par with Madame Gres and Coco Chanel. She is best known for creating classic, timeless pieces that were exquisitely tailored to fit a woman’s body. Muir is also remembered for her work with jersey and leather often in black or navy.

Today Jean Muir has re-emerged as a popular collectible couture designer. Some of the hottest and high couture celebs like Sienna Miller, Stella McCartney and Kate Moss are fans of Jean Muir.

80’s Shoe Stash!


My parents owned a shoe store in the 80’s. The store closed in the early 90’s and items left over ended up taking over their closets and garage. Over the next few years my mom gave away most of the left over stock but kept a small pile for herself, which she never got around to wearing. Eventually, the shoes were out of style so they remained unworn, brand new in their boxes.

On a recent visit home I discovered this small cache of shoes in her closet! A majority of the shoes were brand new and there were also several more pairs that were worn but in great, vintage condition.

Since I am a fashion and vintage lover it is so hard for me to part with many of these awesomely 80’s shoes! Especially since they are all my size….but I have to draw the line somewhere! AND realizing that I will most likely never actually wear any of these shoes but just put them on occasionally and swoon over them, I thought I’d share these lovely, vintage gems with you so that they will be worn, used and loved!

How much does a heel influence the kind of shoe that you buy? Do you only buy wedges? Stilettos? Flats? I am having a tough time deciding if I like the heel.
